I purposefully didn't respond to any point you made, even though you wrote a full paragraph knowing I wasn't going to.
I did however move on to another topic for the thread. You should do the same.
Argument therefore refuted, debate over.
Wait...
Since you're gonna directly address me, if you're on a wrestling message board, you can drop using fanatic as an insult.
Also, every other wrestler contradicts you so you don't need to keep repeating that you are a wrestler. We get it.
Fanatic isn’t an insult, it’s someone who’s extremely devoted to a product.
Compared to regular fans, it’s a much better term than smark as it accurately describes it.
Fans don’t care about workrate or niches, whereas a Fanatic does.
Much the same as Star Wars fans vs fanatics.
Neither does any wrestler contradict me, they’re not going to tell marks it’s fake. I won’t even do that, I’m only doing it because I’m on a forum and anonymous.
Wrestling is fake..the bumps are not.
The tole of backbumping and working with shit workers isn't either.
Major stunts are predetermined too...hence the term....fake.
Holyfuck.....how many times are we gonna go through this?
Bumps are real as in that you’re doing something, just like Acting is real.
What you’re stimulating is fake however, the pain, the psychology of it is fake, just like in movies.
In wrestling you’re really acting, just like for movies, but just like movies it’s completely fake.
it’s like arguing sex scenes are real because two people are naked, even if a scene were real the movie is still fake.
The reason fanatics go to great length to defend it behind a keyboard despite never stepping foot into a ring is because they either want it to be real or feel belittled when someone tells them it’s fake due to past trauma.
Again there’s deeper psychological issues that go on here, there was on a mod on Wrestlingforum named by firebythe that I debated who lost it because I pointed out wrestling is fa
Since I'm a wrestler is the standard you ascribe expertise to, here's DDP talking about the toll bumps took on his body:
I'll leave you all with that. Enjoy. Read the whoel thing. He addresses almsot everythign mentioned in this discussion.
DDP isn’t going to tell marks it’s fake, especially you can draw money and fanatics by telling people it’s real, then you have those that defend you.
How wrestlers talk in public is different than how we do in the locker room.
I would never tell a mark it’s fake in person, on the Internet and anonymously?
Of course I’m going to tell it like it is.
We should embrace that Wrestling is fake if we’re ever going to be take serious, even Star Wars fans don’t do t
The bumps IS wrestling. You don't wrestle without taking bumps.
But at least you are willing to admit the bumps aren't fake.
Again, back bumps don’t hurt. You’ve never stepped in a ring.
Wrestling is fake, just like Movies are fake.
It’s time the industry grow up and embrace this if it wants to be taken seriously.
The other day Jim Cornette went nuts because Ryback pointed out that titles are fake and belts are a prop.
Another instance of a mark in Cornette telling a Wrestler what is.
Cornette has been in the business longer but remains a mark, while Ryback knows better despite being in it for a short period.
