Do any of you still have any around you? I have one right by me and I guess because of the time of night that the movies are and that I have a 2 year old who wont sit still and will drive me batty I don't utilize this as much as I should.

The Drive-In by me has 3 screens and shows two movies for $8 a person. I think that is a steal. I always buy concessions from the place as that is what keeps this place running.

I know when I lived in Denver that they had one that was pretty cool too. It would show three movies in the summer on Friday night. For the price of two.

So do any of you have a drive-in near you and if you had one near by would you go to it time permitting and any memories of the drive-ins that you might have can go in here as well.

I have one near me that charges 5 bucks a person for two movies. They're up to 6 screens now. I've been to it quite a few times but don't think I've ever seen a whole movie there.

There was one near my cottage when I was a kid. I probably saw Cannonball Run Part II there more times than I can count one summer, along with The Goonies, Ghostbusters and other stuff. I haven't been to a Drive In for years though, there's none near me. :(

Never been to one, but would love to. It's a very American thing the Drive-In.

There isn't near me exactly, but there is one in Vegas that I haven't been to since 2002, when I saw Like Mike and something else after it. The first time I ever went (that I remember) was to see Jurassic Park and again something else after it that I don't remember. I fell asleep during Jurassic Park but that's because I was really young and it was really late.

It's an awesome experience. You can just sit in your car, turn your radio dial to whatever station they have available in that area, and listen to the movie through your car speakers. It's probably some of the most fun you'll have watching a movie not in your house. Would love to see a horror movie at a Drive-In one day.

I just learned there is one near the place I moved. I am going to hit it up this summer at some point. Last time I saw a movie at the drive-in was when Rambo II came out. I don't remember the movie that was with it, but I do remember Rambo II.

Man, I'm jealous of anyone near a drive-in! I've always wanted to go to one but never even seen one in person.

Drive in theaters

Has anybody ever been to one? I think they look pretty awesome but I don't think they have any in England. They're a lot less common nowadays.

If you have been to one what are they like?

Re: Drive in theaters

They are great. The downside is you have to wait til dusk for the movie or movies to start. Just a fun way to watch a movie. Sit in your car tune the radio to the specific station and watch. The one by my house shows two movies per screen which they have 3. Only $8 to get in for two films.
