WE'RE BACK

WWF World Champion: Hulk Hogan-23/1/84
WWF Intercontinental Champion: Tito Santana-6/7/85
WWF Tag Team Champions: The Dream Team-24/8/85

WWF Championship Wrestling
January 4th, 1986
Poughkeepsie, NY

Match#1 Cousin Luke & Hillbilly Jim vs Spot & Al Navarro

Nice to see 86 kicking us off with some nonsense. Fine enough showcase with some good strikes and funny moments from Luke, and Jim is looking better after his leg break a year ago. Jim wins with the Bearhug.
*3/4

WWF Update-
-Hulk Hogan's Rock N Wrestling is a hit and you should watch it, or else.

Match#2 Hercules Hernadez w/Freddie Blassie vs Jeff Cripley
One of the best jobber names in history, folks. Horrible squash from the big idiot as a week away hasn't made him good, nor does it make me want to like him. The highlight is Blassie yelling and shouting that Cripley is a bum who makes 200 bucks a week. Herc does a lot of slams and bad strikes to fill time, and it's not fun at all. He wins with the Torture Rack.
1/2*

Mean Gene-
-Tito vs Savage for the IC title.
-Randy walks on and says people will be nice to him now that he's close to the title. Lot of history in the Boston Gardens, but they're not as good as him. Randy says Gene is as good as Tito Santana, and he knows they've been talking and he shouldn't trust him. Tito is going to lose the title where Larry Bird plays and loses basketball. All the ladies think about him day and night, ohhhhhh yeah.

VOTE FOR THE SLAMMYS.

Match#3 The Killer Bees vs Barry O & Rick Jacobs
Sting Yeah!!! Sadly only 90 seconds this week because life is not giving honey, but still fun times as always. Assisted dropkick does it.
*1/2

In a pre-tape, we go to Piper and Ace. Piper says he doesn't drink wine like these Italians. Orndorff has never had a thought in his brain, and Bruno is too old and dumb to think. Last time they beat up half the town of Boston, and they'll do it again. He loves his bodyguard Ace and he'll be there for him at all times. Get a bottle of thunderbird and have a good night.

Match#4 Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs Don Driggers
The crowd adores Liz as they should, so Randy gets madder and madder at them and boots her from the ring. Awesome squash for Randy as he murders Driggers for his dumb name, and just being alive in his presence. Vince announces that Randy is facing Animal Steele soon and he'll be put to the test. Goddamn it, no. Elbow Drop does it.
**

Piper's Pit with Fabulous Moolah. He praises her as the best ladies wrestler ever and the prettiest he's ever seen. He talks about women wrestlers not learning in school with different body parts, and he wants to know how she protects herself. Moolah says she does it well. Piper says he wants to thank her the Scottish way, so he kisses her to close it.

Match#5 Corp Krichner vs Gino Carobello
Bad stuff from Corp K as normal. Samoan Drop that needs a name does it.
Poop

Match#6 The Dream Team vs Tony Stetson & Paul Dose

Future ECW hitman Tony S debuts in a cool moment. Dream Team get the show and year back on track with a sick murder of some kids. Awesome suplexes and strikes from Brutus, and Hammer is the best as always. Figure Four does the job.
**

Mean Gene-
-JYD will be teaming with Corp K against Sheik and Nik
-JYD has a real good partner and he can't go wrong with a bone.
-Blassie and Sheik are up next and they say JYD has bit off more than he can chew. Sheik is going to fuck and humble

MLW is rebranded All Star Wrestling and will be our new B show until Challenge debuts and takes its place in September.

File is only 13 minutes, but we must watch it all.

Match#1 Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs Terry Gibbs
Randy mauls the kid in incredible fashion, and the true benefit of B shows is getting more Savage matches to behold. Randy hits a nasty knee right to the back and kills the kid with all his offence and finishes him with the Elbow.
**

They replay the Savage interview.

Match#2 British Bulldogs w/Lou Albano vs Johnny K9 & Mr X
3 Minutes of the dogs belting the shit out of some goons with a flurry of kick ass offence. DK wins with a wicked super backdrop.

WWF SATURDAY'S NIGHT MAIN EVENT
JANUARY 4TH, 1986
TAMPA, FLORIDA
USF SUN DOME

-
Hulk Hogan is making drinks out of eggs and supplements to get ready for that no good rattlesnake Terry Funk.
-Its his python drink and Gene is not allowed to give Funk the recipe
-Piper watches the hillbillies swim in the pool and says they're taking their year bath.

Jesse walks on to commentary and says he's going to be the first commentator who is going to back up his words and get back in the ring to show everyone how good he is. He brigs on Bobby Heenan as his replacement. WOOOOOOOOOO GOD YES.

-In the aisle, Gene is with Piper and Ace.
-Piper says they eat pants and play the banjo, and they've got no idea what they've gotten themselves into. These jerks asked for this when they attacked Jesse and picked on him, so they've got no choice but to fight.

Match#1 Roddy Piper, Bob Orton & Jesse Ventura vs The Hillbillies
Heenan adds so much to this with his amazing jokes combined with adding a ton to commentary and picking up on stuff that actually matters. Match itself is ugly as sin as our boys bump around for really lame and weak looking offence. The bumps and stooging are at least fun and distract from the bad wrestling at hand, and the wrestling is BAD. Shit breaks down and Ace slips in a cast shot the back of Luke's head and Piper locks in the sleeper to steal the win.
3/4*

At the booth, Heenan shakes Jesse's hand and says he hopes he was as good at calling the match as Jesse was in it.

We go to a water park with an huge waterslide and Gene says we're about to have a competition between JYD and Jimmy Hart. Jimmy says he can't out-wrestle him, but he can beat him in this one and prove he's a better man. JYD cheats and goes down the slide first to win, and Jesse rightly calls it out. At the bottom of the pool, Jesse is with Terry Funk. Funk says he needs a great tan for the cover of Sports Illustrated after he wins the title. He wants a cover like they did that blonde idiot. He promises to brand them both if they don't do it. AMAZING

We see footage of Funk branding Hogan last month.

-Hogan says he was busted open with that branding iron and he's got a surprise for them in JYD. Dog walks on and says he can see it all real well and make sure this goes down the right way. Hogan says Jimmy is about to be a bone for JYD.

Match#2 Hulk Hogan (c) w/Junkyard Dog vs Terry Funk w/Jimmy Hart (WWF World Championship)
Hogan goes right for it and throws Funker all over, and Vince shouts "GET ON IT, HULKSTER" like the biggest nerd ever. Funk takes more and more insane bumps and really wreaks himself in new ways. He breaks out the Race/Flair corner bump as well, and it's so smooth and gross looking. Funk slips in a mule kick to the balls, but Hogan fights back and kills him with a sick lariat and beats his ass some more. Funk gets some tape and strangles Hogan to finally get something going, and it's mean and brutal as heck. He hits the piledriver but Hogan kicks out at 2.9 in a heartbreaking moment. Hogan does his Hulk up and murders him dead. JYD clobbers Hart to get rid of him, and Hogan slips in the Axe Bombah to win.
**3/4

Post match, Funk beats the referee up and hurls chairs at Hogan before he storms off and drags a dead Jimmy out with him by the feet.

In the ring, Gene joins Hogan. Hulk calls him a punk and tells him to drag his dead manager away forever. Well, he did.

At the water park, Gene asks Albano about Steele's ring rust, and he says The Animal will be at 100%. On the other side of the park. Jesse is with Macho and Liz. Savage says he fears no man or animal, and he's here to teach the girl how to swim, and he throws her in the water as it cuts out.

Match#3 Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs George Steele w/Lou Albano
Steele smells her and is clearly in love. OH NO. Randy breaks out his bumping boots and goes crazy right away, and can only come back when Steele tries to get close to Liz again and he slips in shots and they rock. Steele loses his mind and eats the buckle to impress her, and Randy hits a massive double axe handle across the ring and pins him.
**

Post match, Randy picks Liz up and carries her to back over his shoulder.

We get a music video for 1985.

We go back to the pool where Corp K uses a flying fox to jump in the pool because he's super awesome and cool.

Match#4 Corp Krichner vs Nikolai Volkoff w/Freddie Blassie & Iron Sheik(Peace Match)
The idea is it's a technical wrestling match to show respect and peace (get it) and hey it's 4 minutes of horrible wrestling from two real scumbags in the game. Headlocks and shoddy looking holds that neither seem to know how to use or lock on. Nic gets sick of it and drops him throat first on the ropes and hits a knee to win. Not very peaceful.
1/2*

Post match, Corp K attacks them both and holds the ring. FUCK YEAH WAR OVER PEACE.

We get a montage of Don Muraco surfing.

Match#5 Ricky Steamboat & Junkyard Dog vs Don Muraco & Mr Fuji
I thought we had moved on from this feud after it died a death back in October, but whatever i guess. 5 Minutes of not much as the partners are awful as hell, and we don't get nearly enough Ricky/Don despite that being the hook. JYD is a really bad fip and fucks a lot up just to make it worse for a time. Ricky finally gets in and fights Don and it rules, but too little too late. JYD beats Fuji with a headbutt.
THUMP FUCK

Post match the faces run them off and hold the ring.

Match#1 Junkyard Dog & George Steele vs John Rizzo & Spot
FUCK NO

WWF Update-
-Ricky Steamboat is using deadly force to work his way to a WWF title shot.

Match#2 Terry Funk w/Jimmy Hart vs Mike Sexton
The fans scream slurs at Jimmy Hart, so Funk murders this kid in his honour like a true hero of the people. Wonderful offence as always, and he breaks out some real nasty kicks to the face and head this week in another killer thing on top of a million other things. Sleeper does the job.
**

Mean Gene-
-Tito Santana is here!! He says Randy has told him to hand the belt over to him, but it's shinning and he and it are ready for a good fight. IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE HE EVER GIVES IT UP. He doesn't care how he treats his woman, well he does but he he cares about the belt and beating him up first and foremost. It will be a disgrace to lose the title to someone he doesn't consider much of a man. This feud rules so much.

Match#3 Tito Santana & Pedro Morales vs Al Navarro & Steve Lombardi
Son of a bitch. Tito does the bulk of the work and he's soooooo good with everything and more than makes up for his old hack of a partner. He runs thought them and wins with the Figure Four on Al.
**

Mean Gene-
-Bruno cuts another terrible promo about being old and lame and fighting cool people like Piper.
-Wonderful jumps on screen and says he has his back because he knows what he's been through just like him, and his cast will even this up for them

Match#4 King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan & John Studd vs Jeff Cripley & Paul Dose
Fantastic fat monster murder with all the cool offence, and a white crowd that wants him dead and buried. Double heabutts and splashes and other great stuff to kill them for a while. Double Avalanche ends it.
**

Piper's Pit with Jimmy Hart. Jimmy runs on and hugs him and brings on Adrian Adonis with dyed hair and bows in there, and Piper in shook. Adrian says he been big and tough his whole life and he can wear whatever he wants. He finally feels like Adrian Adonis with flair and charisma, and he reties his jacket and gives it to Piper (which Piper will keep until his death). Adrian tells the rocketts to eat their hearts out.

Match#5 Don Muarco w/Mr Fuji vs Joe Willams
Our first amazing Don squash of the year with all the brutal work as always, and Fuji throws in some cheap shots like a real dickhead. Tombstone does it
**

Match#6 Ricky Steamboat & King Tonga vs Ron Shaw & AJ Pertruzzi
Oh, i forgot about this team tbh. They again mesh incredibly well thanks to the strikes and high flying they both use, so it's a great squash. Tonga gets some time to shine and beats the fuck out of them as only Haku can. Flying crossbody ends it.
**

Mean Gene-
-Ace Orton says Wonderful should have left well enough alone but he's too stupid and keeps making mistakes, now he's going to pay for it. He's the best wrestler in the world and Piper is the toughest man he's ever met. Piper says for 3 weeks he's called them every name under the sun and didn't even insult their mumma's. They stood around and waited until Boston to fight them. He thought it was a lack of guts, but its because they're plain idiots and stupid and they're going to get hurt.

Match#1 Tito Santana vs Steve Lombardi

Tito gets a singles showcase for the first time in a long time, and he gets the best jobber in the company on top of it. God Bless. Lombardi has some offence on Tito's leg and it's very good and he really wreaks it, but then Tito shuts him down and kicks the snot out of him as only he can in revenge. Figure Four does it.
**

Interviews-
-Tito will be facing Jesse Ventura for the title in a few weeks in Toronto.
-Tito says Jesse cried and whined to the promoters to get this revenge, and he's upset him now. He's looking forward to kicking his butt in Toronto and keeping his title.

BUY THE HULK HOGAN SHIRT FOR $12

Match#2 King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan vs Richard Krupa
Fuck yeah, second squash of the day for Bundy. Heenan joins commentary and rants about being manager of the year no matter what anyone tries to pull on him, and Gene cheated the count. Bundy murders the kid with fat man offence and it's the best. I trust no one who doesn't love Bundy. Avalanche gets the win.
**

Interviews-
-Wonderful again says his cast will even this war up.
-Bro don't tell the enemy your plans.

Match#3 The Killer Bees vs Johnny K9 & Les Thornton
Bees do some killer mat work with Les as he can hang with them better than most, and it's really good stuff. K9 is very fun for a complete madman and lays in some punches, so the Bees have to earn this one for once. B turns the tide and fucks them up on the mat and throws some clean strikes on top of it. flying Lariat from Jim does it
**

The body shop with Tito Santana. Jesse accuses him of taking the easy way out each time he fights and he doesn't have the guts to fight. Tito laughs and says he had a hell of a time keeping Jesse in the ring the last time they they fought, and they can do it now. Jesse says of course he challenges him when he's wearing his good clothes and they're going to wait until the 9th. Tito laughs at him and walks off.

Match#4 Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs Nelson Vildeoux
Liz is wearing red tonight to match Randy's amazing robe. Jess says Randy taught her how to swim last week on SNME, and he can't wait to see her learn how to skydive. DEAD. Savage can't miss as he nukes another poor kid in a great squash. Insane to think how good his title run is going to be in a few weeks with the way he's getting better each week. Elbow Drop and a one foot pin does it.
**

Match#5 Paul Orndroff & Ricky Stemboat vs Chuck Simpson & Mr X
Super team galore in 86 is good times, pals. Awesome mat work from Ricky and great pissed off offence from the Wonderful one. Piledriver ends the fun.
**

Interviews-
-Jesse walks on and rants about the people not knowing who Chico really is. When he was in the navy at 18 he went down to Mexico where Chico lived and ran a taco stand, and 24hrs it was Chico's revenge if you catch his drift. He might have the IC title, but his reign is going to end thanks to him. He knows he wished it was against anyone else, but its him and his time on the microphone will be the best and Tito will never hear the end of it. Dreams end.

Amazing episode

WWF House shows-11/1

Andre The Giant & Hulk Hogan vs King Kong Bundy, Big John Studd & Bobby Heenan (Philadelphia)
Hogan and Andre are wearing matching yellow and they rush the Family and beat the shit out of them as the crowd explodes, and Bundy takes a wild bump to the outside. Andre slams Studd with ease, and i now declare this horrible feud over. Fuck you, i win. LMAO HOGAN SLAMS HIM AS WELL JUST TO FUCKING DO IT. GET HIM OUT. Heenan takes some wild bumps and stooges like crazy and it's so much fun. Heels manage to get Andre down and the control is pretty boring, sadly. Shit breaks down and Andre kills Heenan with a boot to beat him. Should have beaten Studd for peak lols.
**

Tito Santana (c) vs Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth (WWF Intercontinental Championship. Boston)
Jesse does an incredible job on commentary saying that Chico has been a fantastic champion as much as it pains him to say, but his title has never been in more jeopardy than tonight. Tito doesn't give a shit though and goes for the arm and throws Randy off his game right away, and Tito is able to grab the arm and go to work on it. Good work on it as he's always doing something to it, and Randy's attempts to get out of it are really desperate and dirt as he has to resort to an eye poke in the corner. He goes after Tito's bad leg, and Jesse kills it again when he says the last time Tito wrestled for the title with a bad wheel he lost. Wonderful control seg as Randy mixes it all together with his offence and cheating to mess him up, and each cut off gets meaner and meaner. He throws a disgusting knee to the guts at one point and Tito crumples in a heap, and Randy keeps beating on him. Tito's attempted comebacks get closer and closer and he sells like hell each time he gets shut down, but he also gains more ground with each one. Randy tries for a knee a against the ropes and Tito moves and Savage eats shit and gets tied in the ropes, and Tito goes fucking nuts and punches and punches the hell out of him. They fight to the outside and Randy hits a massive Axe Handle to knock him down again on the hardwood floor, and Tito has to fight back once more. He bravely does it and finally mounts a comeback and bashes the hell out of him. He nails the Forearm to knock him to the floor and goes after him but Randy throws Liz at him and then decks him and chucks him over the guardrail and runs back in to win via countout.
***1/4

Post match, Tito goes after him and chases him off. Yeah, i'll take a dozen of these.

Paul Orndroff & Bruno Sammartino vs Roddy Piper & Bob Orton (Boston)
Super hot start with old man Bruno working his ass off to beat them up, and Wonderful uses his cast to help as well. They fight on the outside and Piper decks the old man with a wooden chair to the back, but it pisses him off and beats up Piper. Wonderful gets in, but he gets clobbered by Ace's cast and the heels take over with a fun control seg on him. Wish it was Bruno, but i get it. Gross shots to the head and lots of cut offs that get meaner each time. Wonderful finally comes back when he takes Ace's face off with a lariat, and Bruno gets the tag. It breaks down right away as he and Piper fight on the outside and Piper shoves him over the rail and gets back in to win by countout in the same finish as the last match.

Tonight we learn more about George Steele's infatuation with Miss Elizabeth.

Match#1 Ricky Steamboat, King Tonga & Junkyard Dog vs Barry O, Joe Mirto & Mr X
Holy fuck what a trio. JYD is kept out of the way and the other two get to cook, so it's a lot of a fun as you'd expect it to be. Ricky gives them a lot and then JYD gets in and hits one single headbutt to win. God Bless this lazy fuck
*3/4

Post match they dance with little kids.

WWF Update-
-The Animal is in love with Liz, and the world now waits for how Randy Savage might react.
-SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE I IMAGINE.

We see footage of Ted Arcidi breaking power lifting records

Match#2 Ted Arcidi vs Joe Willams
Really bad muscle head squash as he looks super lost and terrible once again. Vince and Bruno are in love with him and talk about Bruno being strong and shit, and it's all really lame. Powerslam ends it.
1/2*

Mean Gene-
-Gene announces it will be Roddy Piper vs Bruno Sammartino in a Steel Cage Match.
-Piper says they like to come and watch because they don't have the guts to do it. Bruno is the name of a dog that belongs in the cage, and he's got nothing to unlike him. He knows they're trying to get rid of him and sending the living legend is their idea. He could fall 15ft and end his career, and he might make him the un-living legend.

They replay the Peace Match in full.

Mean Gene-
-Randy Savage walks on with a green sack and says there's a lot of money in there and it comes with belts. Everything is sacred to him from money to his career, and the IC title will fall to him. Tito is now afraid to meet him after the last time. Liz picks Randy as the winner, and Gene says Randy is influencing her. Randy says he influences everyone because they're scared of him. Hulk Hogan is a lame duck champion who is scared and intimidated and he's going to fall as well.

Match#3 Adrian Adonis w/Jimmy Hart vs Jim Powers
Adrian now has bows and flowers attached to his body, and he's met with slurs and pure hatred from the fans as a result. He murders stupid Jimmy in a minute with a gross DDT
*

Piper's Pit with Hercules and Freddie Blassie. Herc says he's not a patient man and he cant stand fighting these little boys, and he wants Tito or Hogan right now. Tito won't stand a chance and he knows it. He can knock a bull out with one punch and pull two greyhounds back with both arms. Freddie says he lives and fights on brutality and won't stop until he done. He can pull cars with his bare hands and there is nothing he can't do, and there is no one he can't beat up.

Match#4 Bret Hart w/Jimmy Hart vs Don Driggers.
Fuck yeah, Bret singles showcase out of nowhere. He gets a few minutes to work and really bashes the shit out of the kid. He throws him to the floor and slams him on it, and then beats the living crap out of him some more back in the ring with classic Bret Hart offence that we all know and love. Bret wins with a sick elbow drop off Bret's rope.
**

VOTE FOR THE SLAMMYS, YOU MOTHERFUCKERS.

Match#5 Dan Spivey & Corp Krichner vs Ricky Hunter & Ron Shaw
Dan gets another random partner, and Vince tries to claim they've been teaming before. lying bastard. This is bad as Corp sucks and Dan is raw as well and can't do much on his own yet to save it. Bulldog ends it.

THUMP FUCK

Match#2 George Steele w/Lou Albano vs Mr X

2 minutes of Animal nonsense and trash as always. Hammerlock ends it
Eating Turnbuckles

Match#3 British Bulldogs w/Lou Albano vs Chuck Simpson & Spot

Sick 3 minute Dog murder of another dog and some random goober, and it almost makes this show worth watching. Dream Team joins commentary to talk shit about putting these dogs down so they don't catch fleas. Flying Headbutt does the deed.

Hey, please stop making me watch JYD. 4 really awful minutes thanks to JYD working most of it and sucking shit, and Paul being left to the end. He rules but he can't save that. Piledriver does it.

-Only one more year and i can finally rest.

VOTE IN THE SLAMMYS YOU GODDAMN MANIACS

Match#2 Terry Funk w/Jimmy Hart vs Sal Gee
Standard kick ass Funker showcase for 3 minutes. Dude just gets this better than anyone before him, and the majority after him. Sleeper ends the fun,
**

Mean Gene-
-Piper walks on and hates on Boston fans never having the guts to do anything for themselves and putting him in a cage and fall on the floor 23ft. It doesn't concern him to fight a man with nothing to lose. A MAN WHO SCREAMS AND CRIES AND DEMANDS HE HAVE PIPER IN A CAGE AND HE DOESN'T HAVE HIS ACEY AS HE'S BARRED FROM THE GARDEN DESPITE HIM BEING HIS BODYGUARD AND THE COPS WILL STOP HIM FROM GETTING IN. HE'S LOCKED IN A CAGE WITHOUT ANY HELP AND HE'S GOTTA FIGHT AN APE WITH NO WAY OUT. AHHHHH. Piper is God.

Match#3 Don Muraco w/Mr Fuji vs Paul Dose
Don is looking super jacked baby, and really looks way bigger than normal muscle wise. He batters the kid with said muscle and it rocks a ton. Tombstone kills the kid dead.
**

WRESTLEMANIA 2 WHAT THE WORLD IS WATCHING.

Mean Gene-
-Tito walks on and shows off his new t-shirt and talks about his NFL team being ready after some loses and he's ready for Savage. He got the best of him once my man, but this time it's their super bowl and he will pay for what he did to him. He won the title in Boston and he's keeping it there, my man. Tito is the man, but it's time.

Match#4 The British Bulldogs w/ Capt. Lou Albano vs. Terry Gibbs & Gino Carabello
Another fantastic showing for the Dogs as they break out awesome offence and wreak shop of some poor fucks stuck in hell with them. Superplex from DK ends it.
**

Piper's Pit with the Dream Team. Hammer says they defend the titles every week and they aren't hiding in the colset from anyone. Brutus says Lou is eating cheeseburgers managing puppy dogs. The Dogs and Lou walk on the set and ask for a shot so they can see who the best is, and Jonnhy V refuses and says they haven't wrestled anyone to earn it. Lou asks for a non title shot on TV to prove it, and Piper agrees and says to do it. V says they'll think it over, and Lou drop him with a punch to the head. Piper gets in the middle and makes everyone leave. Hmmm Piper doing the right thing is wild, but maybe just maybe the start of something.

They replay Savage/Steele

Match#1 The Hart Foundation w/Jimmy Hart vs The Killer Bees
Zero wasted time as they go nuts right away and it turns into a fantastic back and forth with everyone getting some time to shine and show off. Jimmy distracts the ref and HF double team Jim and take him out with a pro death sentence, but he fights back and sends Bret into the corner for a wicked chest bump. Blair gets the hot tag and unloads on them and locks Bret in prawn hold, SO ANVIL RUNS ACROSS THE RING AND ELBOWS THE REF IN THE HEAD FOR THE DQ
**1/4

Post match, Jimmy Hart hits Brunzell with the megaphone and the Foundation take out Blair with the Hart Attack. Awesome angle.

Mean Gene-
-Gene announces it will be Savage vs JYD on an upcoming live event
-Randy shows off his new shirt that says "HULK WHO?" He calls it a spit in the face of Hogan and JYD as he's not competition for him in anyway. Liz walks on and says JYD doesn't have a chance against Randy, and Gene is very upset as Randy asking questions. Randy makes her leave and declares himself #1 in the world with all the momentum and he's spitting in JYD's face and he's a steeping stone to the WWF Championship. He's taking off in a jet plane.

Match#2 Corp Krichner & Danny Spivey vs Mr X & Brian Mackney
Vince trying to remake the US Express with these two is some sad shit. Fine enough though as Danny gets more time to work and does pretty well again with big man stuff. Sheik and Blassie walk down and wave their flag, so Corp jumps off the apron and punches Sheik in the face and runs him off. Corp gets in and is mad and does ok offence to his credit, and hey good for him. Samoan Drop does it.
*3/4

Mean Gene-
-Tito Santana walks on and is mad they haven't show footage of Randy cheating in their last match, and he sick of Randy making up lies saying he won. He will show that footage soon enough. He is going to make him pay for what he did to him. He screams in Spanish to end it.

Match#3 The Dream Team w/Johnny Valiant vs Apollo the Greek & Paul Roma
Another fine showing for DT even with some crappy losers to beat up. Roma goes on a run and looks ok throwing dropkicks, but sucks doing anything else which is very funny as Monsoon gushes over him the entire time. Hammer shuts him down and wins with the Figure Four
*1/2

Match#4 The British Bulldogs vs Terry Gibbs & Chuck Simpson

Dogs have another sick squash as they show more and more how good they are, and how little of shit they give for the lives of jobbers. Lou isn't here as Gino says he's out scouting for the Dogs, and Jesse can't stop laughing at the thought of him using his brain for the first time in his life. Davey wins with a wonderful dropkick off the top.
**

Body Shop with Ricky Steamboat!!!! Jess says he didn't have a great 85 and he wants to know how he's going to turn it around in 86, and Ricky says the fans behind him will help matters and get him back on track. Ricky says he's been hearing what Jesse has been saying and if he could wrestle as well as he could talk. he could probably be world champion. DEAD. Jesse is very mad and ends it as Ricky waves goodbye to the fans.

Match#5 Terry Funk w/Jimmy Hart vs SD Jones
FUNK RAMS HIM INTO THE CORNER AND SPITS ON HIM, SO SD GOES NUTS AND BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF HIM AND THROWS FUNKER ALL OVER THE PLACE AND SENDS HIM TO THE FLOOR. Funk calms himself down and gets back and takes him down and beats the shit out of him with a super fun control seg with a ton punches and cool holds. SD has a fun comeback throwing headbutts and punches, and it's the best hes ever looked. Jimmy hits him with the iron to distract him and Funk catches him with a nasty Lariat to steal it.

WWF MSG-27/1

47 minute cut from WWE 24/7, so lets do the entire show.

Match#1 Paul Orndorff vs Big John Studd w/Bobby Heenan
Nice to see this feud back in the spotlight even if it's the worst member of the Family in there. Wonderful uses his speed to take it to him right away and to Studd's credit, he takes massive bumps and works his ass off for him. Studd catches him with a slam to the corner to hurt his back and he works on with stomps and punches and a few slams, and it's pretty fun. Wonderful's selling is good shit as he slumps over with every hit and really struggles to fight back against the big man. He eventually comes back using the cast to clobber and drop him. He goes for a slam but Heenan trips him for the DQ.
**1/2

Post match, Wonderful finally gets Heenan alone and beats the shit out of with the cast until Studd pulls him free.

Match#2 Terry Funk w/Jimmy Hart vs Scott McGee
Funker gets 10 minutes to fuck around and do his thing and it's really fun, but also probably too long all things considered. Still, better he gets the time than someone who sucks a ton. Funk wins with a flying splash.
**

Match#3 Hulk Hogan (c) vs Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth (WWF World Championship)
Randy rushes him when Hogan slides under the ropes to start and uses every bit of dirty shit he can think of, and it's a blast watching this crazy person go nuts. He uses the title to hit Hogan in the back a couple of times to really mess him up, and the entire MSG crowd cheers for him and then turns back on him in the space of 15 seconds. Hogan comes back to life and beats the piss out of him, and even steals Randy's glasses as he keeps kicking the hell out of him. He drags him outside and throws him head first into the post to bust him wide open with a gross gusher of a cut that covers his face and chest. Hogan stays on him with huge punches and the like, and Savage's selling is unbelievably great. Randy still throws big shots in revenge and manages to knock Hogan down a few times to stay in it, and Hogan's bumps are awesome. Hogan Hulks up in amazing form and beats him more and more bloody and tosses him to the floor. He tries to throw him into the post again but Liz gets in his way, and Randy slips down and shoves him into the post and gets back into the ring to win via countout.
***

Post match, Hogan attacks him like a massive sore loser, and a bunch of faces have to run out and drag him off poor innocent Randy

Match#4 The Dream Team (c) w/Johnny Valiant vs The British Bulldogs w/Lou Albano (WWF World Tag Team Championships)
Only 7 minutes sadly, and it's a test run for longer matches so they're not killing themselves just yet. Still, with this much talent it works as everyone looks good and still throws some bombs here and there. Everything breaks down and Johnny shoves Davey over when he has Brutus in a roll up, and the DT steal it.

Tonight. Dream Team vs British Bulldogs in a non title match.

During the intros, Adrain walks on and waves his new sweet purple scarf in Bruno and Vince's faces.

Match#1 Ricky Steamboat & King Tonga vs Rusty Brooks & Spot
Nice to see the boys back together again busting heads and whatnot. Wish they had a feud with the Dream Team, but the line is too long for that, sadly. Meng gets more time this week and throws some nasty knees and strikes, and Ricky is Ricky as always. Meng wins with a super kick and a running splash.
**

WWF Update-
-Mr T is still in amazing shape and willing to jeopardise his acting career for another chance to get in the squared circle.
-Wish this was leading to something good.

VOTE IN THS SLAMMYS

Match#2 Adrian Adonis w/Jimmy Hart vs Jeff Grilley
Adrian is SOOOOOOOOOOO fat and awesome. He wins with the DDT in 45 seconds.
FUCK YEAH

Mean Gene-
-Cowboy Orton walks on and says Wonderful is wearing that cast to try and even the score, but tonight times will change and he has a new idea to win this fight but he won't tell anyone what it is.

Match#3 Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff w/Freddie Blassie vs Jim Powers & SD Jones
Corp K walks out and waves the flag because goddamn it all. Short squash that's all Sheiky baby. He breaks Powers' back to win
HUMBLE BUBBA

Post match, Corp storms the ring and beats them both up with his awful dogshit offence.

WRESTLEMANIA 2 APRIL 7TH. WHAT THE WORLD IS WATCHING

Mean Gene-
-Paul Orndorff says the town will be rolling the red carpet out for him, and every woman will be there to see him. He tells Gene they're going out together after the match. Paul then says he's going to teach Gene how to hunt with the lights on. Ok then.

Match#4 Hercules Hernadez vs Paul Dose
Freddie isn't out here as he's mad about the earlier attack on his men, so Herc is left alone for the first time. He's still terrible as he throws some bad strikes and poses a lot as he clearly doesn't know how to fill time. Freddie joins commentary and demands Krichner find a partner so his men can destroy him together legally. I love that little wrinkle as it really sells how pissed he is that he wants to actually do it the right way. Herc wins with his rack after 4 goddamn minutes.
POOP

Piper's Pit. Piper says he wants to find someone with actual brains to come on here, but he has that fat moron Albano on here. Lou and Steele walk on, and Piper says he got beaten by a woman. Lou says she has him hypnotised and he can't help himself. George shouts "NICE" and Piper asks if he means liz and he nods his head. Piper gets close and says Steele is a very ugly person that couldn't get a date with a 100 dollar bill on his forehead.

Match#5 The Killer Bees vs AJ Pettruzi & Dave Barbie
JIP, sadly. Still, we get nearly 3 minutes of fantastic Bee action on the mat and high flying and cool mat work, so it's all good. Blair wins with a poweslam.
*3/4

Match#6 The Dream Team w/Johnny Valiant vs The British Bulldogs w/Lou Albano

DT try to back off and make it their kind of match, but the Dogs are young and stupid try to rush them and get killed instead. Davey is quickly isolated and the DT beat the hell out of him and target his leg. Hammer puts him in the Figure Four, but DK runs in and kills him with a leg drop. Davey makes the tag and DK MURDERS them for two straight minutes in one of the coolest one man demolition jobs ever. THE DOGS HIT THE ODE TO THEMSELVES AND THEY PIN BRUTUS. THEY PINNED THE CHAMPS. HOLY SHIT.

Once again weridly not all that bad. Danny does the work to hold it together with really solid offence, and Corp is also here. Samoan Drop ends it
*

Match#2 Tony Atlas & Ted Arcidi vs Tiger Chung Lee & Neil Carr
E
WWWWWWW BROTHER WHAT IS THAT. Hideous muscle head squash with nothing good or fun, not even a cool botch to laugh at. Ted wins with a bearhug
Poop

Match#3 Paul Orndorff vs Don Kolof

Paul gets 3 minutes this week and uses it well with good mat work and strikes that ruin the kids day. Piledriver does the deed,
**

Match#4 The Dream Team w/Johnny Valiant vs Apollo the Greek & Jose Luis Rivera
DT do their thing with another very hard hitting squash for a couple of minutes. Figure Four does it
**

Match#5 The British Bulldogs vs Iron Mike Sharpe & Steve Lombardi
AHHHH THE BEST JOBBER TEAM EVER. Dogs do their thing as always, but these two it's a ton of fun as they die and bump like complete maniacs for everything. Davey beats Lombardi with the running powerslam

Animal Steele walks past Vince and Bruno with a bouquet of flowers. Uh oh

Match#1 Hillbilly Jim & Uncle Elmer vs Terry Gibbs & Bob Bradley
DON'T GO MESSING WITH A COUNTRY BOY.

WWF Update-
-WrestlemMania 2 will shatter the world again.
-Insane to think it's 2 months out with no venue or matches announced of yet, but the 80's are a different amazing beast and i love how different it all was.

Match#2 King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd w/Bobby Heenan vs Darryl Bowlin & Ivan MacDonald
2 minutes and not enough Bundy being amazing to save it. Studd sucks bags of cat piss and drags it all down so much. Truly can not wait for him to fuck off in a few months. Avalanche at least ends it
3/4*

Mean Gene-
-Roddy walks on reading a paper from Boston praising Bruno being a legend who is going to break Piper's bones in a cage match. Piper then changes the words about Wonderful being a bum and Bruno being an old dog that needs to be taken behind the barn and shot.

Match#3 Tito Santana vs Mr X
Tito gets 3 minutes by himself finally and kills it as he damn well can. Awesome mat work and strikes with a ton of smoothness and fire behind it all. Figure Four ends it
**

Match#4 The British Bulldogs w/Lou Albano vs Gladiator & AJ Pertruzi
Good times for 3 minutes as the cool squashes continue after a horrible start to the episode. Davey hits a fucking super powerslam to win
*3/4

Match#5 Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth vs Paul Dose
Steele walks out and hands Liz the flowers. Randy jumps out of the ring and grabs them and starts screaming at her AND HE RIPS THEM UP AND THROWS THEM ON THE FLOOR. RANDY RUSHES IN AND KILLS THE KID WITH A KNEE TO THE BACK AND HITS THE ELBOW WITH HIS GLASSES STILL ON AND WINS IN 10 SECONDS.
OHHHHHHH YEAH

Post match, he drags Liz back in and yells at her some more, and Vince says he's the first man to ever win a match with glasses on.

Match#6 Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs Corp Krichner & George Steele
EWWWWWWWWWWWWW. 2 minutes of hideous wrestling before Animal snaps and hits Sheik with a chair for the DQ

WWF house shows 8/2

The Dream Team (c) w/Johnny Valiant vs The British Bulldogs (WWF World Tag Team Championships. Philadelphia)
Same idea as the last match with the Dogs being fearless and fighting them right away, and the DT being forced to fight and try and turn it into a wrestling match where they can (possibly) win. BUUUUT the Dogs dominate on the mat as Brutus's arm is worked over with cool power work mixed with mat work, so the plan was for naught in a cool idea. This is also the start of the Dogs doing the heel in peril stuff that gets really tired after a while, but it's cool here. Brutus lays out Davey with a gross knee to the face to seemingly take over, but DK gets the tag and controls again for a while, so the format is ALL kinds of stupid. Thankfully they finally do it right where Davey is isolated and we get a good control seg from the champs for a while. DK gets the tag and goes nuts on them with all the crazy shit he can think of, and it's a lot of fun. Everything breaks down as it tends to and Brutus beats DK with a cradle.
**1/2

Hulk Hogan (c) vs King Kong Bundy w/Bobby Heenan (WWF World Championship)

We're finally back to the good shit. Classic opening with Hogan no selling all Bundy's work and running through him, until Bundy kicks a hole in his chest and goes to work. Good fat man offence as always, but it's also held back as they're not giving too much away before the major angles kick in and we get to Mania. It's sucky to watch, but hey i get it. Bundy at least get a ton in and Hogan sells like a motherfucker, so there's a lot to like in spite of that. Sadly, Hogan no sells a fucking Avalanche to start his comeback which is bullshit. He hits the legdrop, but Heenan tries to attack him and Hogan goes after him and it lets Bundy attack from behind and kick the shit out of him and the ref calls it when Bundy throws him to the floor
**1/2

Post match, Hogan fights back and runs them off.

Tito Santana (c) vs Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth (WWF Intercontinental Championship. Boston)
Randy is wearing all yellow this time, and hey another all time look. Fantastic feeling out to start with both getting stuff in but never enough to fully take over, and it's a joy to watch it unfold. They go to the outside and Randy fires first with a right hand and it turns into a killer fight until Randy kicks him in the eye to take over. Wonderful control seg with a series of nasty shots mixed with Randy's insane fire that seemingly never goes away. Tito's selling fucking rules as he's hurt bad and is always grabbing at the eye when he has a moment, and Randy stays on it and doesn't let him breathe for long as he keeps hitting axe handles and other cool shit and murders him time and time again. Santana won't die though and keeps trying to fight back throwing whatever he can, and while he can't fully come back, he does hurt Randy more and more with each rally. The ref gets knocked down when Tito shoves Randy into him on accident, and Tito finally fights back and beats the shit out of Randy. Savage misses a knee drop and hurts his leg and Tito goes nuts on it and locks in the Figure Four and somehow Randy gets to the ropes!!! Randy pulls something out of his tights and keeps crawling away from Tito, and when Tito goes to backdrop him over the ropes where's laying, RANDY PUNCHES HIM IN THE FACE AND LANDS ON TOP AND STEALS THE FUCKING TITLE. OHHHHH YEAH
***1/2

Love Tito to death, but this one of the best choices WWF has made in the boom period by far.

In the back, Monsoon is with Randy, Liz and Ventura. Gorilla says he stole the title, and Randy says he earned it and won fair and sqaure and it's bad for Hulk Hogan. He's not in any pain as that was easy, and Gorilla calls bullshit and Randy snaps. He screams this is pain and glory and the start of his reign before he gets to Hogan. He kisses the title and shouts he loves it.

The Hart Foundation vs The Killer Bees (Boston)
Nice to see a rematch of that really good TV match a few weeks ago. Super fun opening with everyone getting some time to shine. Anvil clobbers Bee with a knee to the guts and the Foundation go to work with a really good control seg focusing on his hurt ribs with bearhugs and cool strikes, and Blair's selling rocks a lot. Brunzell gets the hot tag and is quickly isolated with a knee to back from Bret. Another good control seg on him, and while he's not anywhere near as good as Blair, he's a good warm body for them to kick the shit out of for a while. Blair gets the hot tag and wreaks shop and looks awesome again bashing the hell out of them. It breaks the fuck down and Bret sneaks in an Elbow off Bret's rope to Blair to steal it.
**3/4

Roddy Piper vs Bruno Sammartino (Steel Cage-Boston)

"I think the living legend should have stuck with commentary, even if he doesn't do that well" Jesse. Bruno rushes Piper and hurls him into the cage over and over to make him bleed like a stuck pig, and it's a goddam sight watching piper eat the steel on every hit and do his amazing woozy selling after each one. Bruno's offence looks way better here to his credit as he throws wicked punches and kicks, and he even smears Piper's blood on his chest!!! Piper manages to fling him to the cage to take over. He's all fucked up but he still goes insane on the old man and beats the piss out of him. Bruno won't die and keeps fighting back and hurting Piper more and more ,and it gradually turns into a war of attrition with both selling like death while trying to kill the other and escape. Bruno hits a nasty low blow to get revenge on Piper for all the shit he's pulled, and he crawls out the door and get a wooden chair and breaks it over Piper's head and drops down to win.
