Hideo(us) Itami has grown on me and so has Finn Balor, just a little bit. But these names are nowhere as cool as Kenta and Prince Devitt. Y U NO Finn Devitt?

Are they actually better as names or is it just because we're used to them? Prince Devitt isn't a great name in all honesty he made it seem great.

If WWE would've kept Devitt's name they most likely would've had him as Fergal Devitt, not Prince Devitt. Finn is a better name than Fergal in my opinion.

Such a Triple U argument. One night on NXT doesn't prove sh*t, son.
Nah, his over 8 year long career where he has worked all over Asia, Europe and the United States and being over proves it.

This dude is already a major star. He's one of the faces of Armani, arguably the biggest fashion brand in the world.

... and none of that was ever in dispute. Never once did I imply that this dude was not talented or have the tools to be a superstar.
I believe he's smallish, 33 years old and has a trashy name. He deserves a better name than 'Finn'. Prince Balor or simply Balor would suffice.
Whenever I see the word fin, I'm reminded of something that grows out of a sea creature's back.

Seeing that video again, the crowd popped when the tron said, 'Prince Devitt' but killed the stiffy once "Finn Balor' showed on the screen.

So you missed the massive pop that came once the name change had settled and the Finn chants that went on for the rest of the beat down segment?

You mean the monkeys the pop for just about every signature segment for every superstar in WWE?
By your definition, Kofi, the Uso's, Santino, Emma, Natalya and the Bunny would be over.
All these guys get pops for signature segments. LOL The freaking Uso's get the crowd's chanting. LOL

Well, the Usos are very over and have been since their program with the Wyatts. So yeah. Popping for signature segments still means a wrestler is over. Because being over = getting a response from the crowd.

Besides, it's not the name that makes the talent, it's the talent that makes the name. If it was the other way around no way would guys like Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels or Hulk Hogan or Triple H be as big as they are. Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels are really monotonous names, nothing special about those names alone, any John, Pete or Matt could be called that. And Hulk Hogan is what you expect a cartoon character to be called, and Triple H is without the personality to go with it, just three letters, riveting. If those four guys had not had the charisma, personality and talent they had they wouldn't have been the stars they are.

You really like this cat, huh? (Which is cool)
Okay, bro. Let's put the WWE championship on Kofi Kingston right away, since he's over. Put the IC title on the Bunny.

Names mean nothing? If that's the case, why did Shawn Michaels change his name?
The names are supposed to be simple. You're making this too complicated. John Cena is simple. My entire argument has rested on that.
You need talent and a name. Steve Austin said Ringmaster wouldn't look good on a marquee so he changed it.
Names matter and a trashy name like Finn will only be over with smart people like yourself.

Bunny is too over for the IC, he needs the Main Event belt.

I love that name! I totally didn't punch my wall when I heard that Devitt's new name is Finn Bálor.
