why give up a mislynch in order to potentially secure a mislynch later? Why not just take the mislynch, and use the role elsewhere?

I don't think I could see myself having voted for Smark if day one continued unless he made a decent slip or something tbh. Day 2 was more of an option for me which is why I wanted to look at OMB before day one ended. My one vote wouldn't have stopped a lynch tho and people were pretty set on him even if some hadn't voted yet. Seems like scum made a mistake for sure if it was a mislynch but I can also understand what their plans could have been in either case even if I don't think they were particularly good

We shouldn't rule out the possibility that scum simply derped tbh. I remember Arrow Mafia where our scum team used our execution shot on Jeff even though he was clearly gonna get lynched without an execution. Sometimes you just mistime shit.

Good point, I'd like to add that scum historically have regularly had multiple roles in Barry games so it's not at all unusual to think that Smark, if he really is scum, may have more roles than just the DV.

The momentum was still very much on Smark but if OMB is scum, then I could maybe see scum overrating a momentum swing after I put my vote on him and Smark followed and if that was the plan they did do it early enough to make us stay on Smark who I said myself I wasn't sold on lynching day 1. So if Smark's town, scum probably successful keeps him in the cross hairs for day two.

Smark does still feel slimy to me, but him showing instant gratification for the sheriff role for "saving" him whether it did or didn't (looks like it didn't), makes me think he at least didn't know about it beforehand.

There's zero town motivation to doing what happened with Smark only on 4 votes.

Would Smark have argued the semantics of a governor role that hard and then conceded that it was probably scum for the usage this game if he was scum? The original "it's likely town" argument looks bad for him but once we got down to how it was used this game he seemed to drop that.

I'm not saying there's town motivation for doing it, that makes no sense. I'm guessing what the scum motivation for doing it could be bc while most of those scenarios don't make sense to me either, they make infinitely more sense than town using it
