Why did he not choose the Smark wagon?
I don't get the notion that there has to be scum on that Smark wagon tbh. In fact going there seems scummy, has an air of preempting Smarks flip and having planned ahead for what happens afterwards. Like sure, Smark is almost certain to flip scum in my book, but already telling us that we should deduce that there's scum on that wagon seems a bit premeditated in a co-scummy way.
