and in 2 years here, I’ve only seen a handful of quick lynches like what you’re describing

I'd even argue that, in practice in our games, it's most usually a negative utility role for town, in the sense that it's usually curtains as soon as you claim (correct me if I'm wrong). Haza just saying that Lylo stuff because it's the only positive usage quoted on Mafiascum imo btw. I've literally never seen it used positively because 1) As you stated, quickhammers rarely happen here, unless it's already GG or town made a monumental end-game fuck up, and 2) By the time it's LyLo, the role is already outded, and scum would never be stupid enough to try a quickhammer with a Governor outed.

And yeah on topic of town Governors, I recall Jeff drawing it once and telling people he won't be lynched, which was true technically speaking. The flipside is if you use it to avert your own lynch, you're gonna get lynched again the following day so you're basically just stealing a whole d/n cycle from your fellow townies. It's useful to avert quicklynches but to get there you'd have to get past mass claim without actually claiming the role and/or people sussing the fuck out of you for hiding your role.
