Considering that Barrett was due to get a major world title push right before his injury, it would make sense to put him together with Sheamus. I think this could happen within the next coupla months, considering that WWE want Ziggler's first WHC feud to be with Orton, as soon as Orton is done with the new 12 Rounds movie. Combining these two feuds together would make SmackDown alot more interesting in my opinion.

I couldn't see Barrett getting an immediate title push, as that position is set aside for Del Rio and Ziggler chipping in on the side, but Sheamus will need something important to do once he drops the world title to Ziggler. Wouldn't be surprised to see this happen.

I still see Barrett as being very green and think people are winning jumping the gun with him. It would be much smarter to give him a IC Title run or something first and build him from there. Don't think he is anywhere near ready for the top of the card.

IF Sheamus drops the belt, I could get behind this feud. It would give Barrett some time in the ring with the former WHC. and help build him up. I like Barrett, and dont want to see him elevated too quickly.

Although this squashing needs to stop, Brodus, Ryback, and now Barrett? give me a break already.

Wade Barrett isn't even up to Sheamus's level yet in ability. I find it a bit odd how WWE are pushing almost everyone on the roster now so it would suggest since those stories broke about mistreatment in the company WWE and pulled their socks up. Nonetheless I just don't see why Barrett is being pushed, he's boring to watch, doesn't do himself any favours and is not someone that has notoriety. Actually one thing Barrett did last week was make me laugh with his promo, especially when he said "Wade Barrett is open for business." - awkward.

I am a big Wade Barrett fan so I hope that he is next in line for Sheamus. I think that it is actually a good match-up and it should be easy to set up a feud between the two. Wade Barrett has shown already, at least in my eyes, that he has the skills required to become a top star. He is clearly quality on the mic and Nexus wouldn't have been much at all without him there as the leader. He isn't Flair in the ring but then he doesn't really need to be. WWE need to create more stars and giving Barrett a shot in the Smackdown mainevent scene is a good way to test the waters with him as a top guy as they will be able to see how the fans react to him near the top.

Agreed, I liked Barrett a lot before, but I was so bored by the Smackdown match. It was just "punch to the gut, missed punch to the face, punch to the gut, elbow, pin." I'd like to see some wrestling

That being said, I've said for awhile that Barrett/Sheamus just seems inevitable for the belt, the only reason I don't see it happening is if a Ziggler cash in happens beforehand.

Not seen SmackDown but just saw this part on the replay now and good god this fucker is even worse than before.

I'm sorry, but that guy isn't main event calibre at all not even close. I mean fuck, Sheamus does his whole gimmick of enjoying a fight and brawl better than he does.

I mean it's not a big deal either but he really shouldn't be wearing the trunks and kneepad combo either like the majority of the roster, rock the jeans like we saw in the video packages as at least it sets him apart somewhat until he stands alongside Cena.

I've been waiting for Barret to come back for a long time now, but putting him in the title picture?
Way too soon. He needs some (non squash) build up against some mid carders first.

Damn I would be all about a big blood feud between Sheamus and Barrett. I think it's definitely going to go down. It's only a matter of time before Zig Zag Man cashes in.

Barrett isn't anything but a good hand, he doesn't scream star potential. Other than one promo he made in NXT about "Winds of change". He hasn't done or said much. He wasn't convincing in Nexus as a credible threat to a John Cena, not because he was made to look feeble, he just came off as feeble, and his feud with Orton only showed that he wasn't money.
