That Ishii/Omega feud is just incredible. Getting hyped up reading it. So intense! :mark:

Glad you liked it - really wanted to work Ishii into a major angle and never expected to actually give him a title reign

Feel like it might also be my best card so far - which is fitting for an All Out show really

Chapter Five Finale

sK4aKzG.jpg

J5bxyiJ.jpg

Billy Gunn vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin vs. DDP vs. Jeff Cobb vs. MJF vs. Paul London vs. PCO vs. Pentagon, Jr. vs. Simon Gotch

[The opening contest of the Buy In would be an interesting encounter featuring a number of high calibre members of the roster, with everyone involved knowing it would only take one pinfall or submission in the ring to pick up the victory. With so many names in the match, the fans would certainly be left entertained - with the match coming to an end with Dallas Page nailing Darby with the Diamond Cutter to bring an end to the contest.

After the match DDP would cut a promo where he would announce that was departing AEW for a short period of time, and would be working in NJPW to hopefully build strong relations with the Japanese company as an official representative of the Nightmare Family. - 4.75 Star]

brLWIae.jpg

[Gabriel Kidd made his pay per view debut against the established Shawn Spears, in a match which by no reason was a top shelf banger. However, it raw talent that Kidd brought to the table as would pick up a shock win after nailing Spears with a Double Arm Suplex to win the contest. - 2.5 Star]

C3W9Ng5.jpg

Golden 66 (Sadie Gibbs, Kris Statlander, Natalya & Anna Jay) vs. Peak Blowers (Awesome Kong, Kamille, The Bunny & Penelope Ford)

[The eight man tag-team match, was given no back story as it would see 24 Karat Gold and Order 66 team up to take on the Twin Peaks and The Horn Blowers in an eight woman tag team match. The match would prove to be somewhat interesting, in that it would give four team in a division very much still in its infancy a chance to shine. Ultimately, the Peak Blowers would pick up the victory after Kamille would nail Anna Jay with the Twin Peak Slam (Black Hole Slam) - a finishing move she would use for the very first time before dropping down for the cover to claim the victory. - 3.25 Star]

ahiPKejHcT0BYDfiBR1NX8wlHB3kmVQfO5t_ovDo7jJAkedMrmFpzxACRx2zBNQNNS7CYmQuWvo5nBGBtqQl5f5ImfWdC1h16GH229v-55AEDtmcLL3simAeGDXlBYazzk1MfQ5Q

[ The match itself would be fairly interesting, with Hangman picking up the win by nailing Wardlow with the Buckshot Lariat. After the contest there seemed to be a lot of mutual respect between both men who would shake hands, despite the previous differences that both men had gone through in the past almost as if a fight at a stage like this had led to both men being able to look each other in the eye and understand. - 4.0 Star]

FwOBSOj.jpg

C1GOa0g.jpg

[The first contest of the main-show would act as a reminder of exactly why AEW was proving to be one of the key battlegrounds for tag team wrestling in all of professional wrestling, as both teams would put on a terrific show that would have the fans standing on their feet for the majority of the match that would end with Oliver taking Nick Jackson on the ring apron with a running cutter, as ELP would finish Matt in the ring by nailing him with the CR II to pick up a career defining wing for the Wild Boyz at the biggest event on the AEWE calendar - in a match that wasn’t going to forgotten about anytime soon. - 4.75 Star]

Bgdl2IPqPvZAKfJzYq2U4QuoYVHSzkauzeJg0_1NIuTj-0vfnHrpo2cqKN6zCzSJ_72SHuVB0QGlBM-lKLjD94zizoVMO_TJnIc55LzTkujzIuTKp-GgRI50ZKUdMTGMMhwQ9v3V

[All Out would be the place where Thunder Rosa would make her AEW in-ring debut and she couldn’t have asked for a bigger and more accomplished challenger than Nyla Rose - in a fight that would live up to the hype as both men would go from zero to a one hundred as soon as the ring bell rung. Rosa for the obvious reasons of wanting to impress on her debut, whilst Nyla most likely wanted to mark her territory and with a good performance would perhaps get a look in at the Women’s Championship in the not so distant future. The match would be energetic with a mish mash of both wrestlers styles providing a spectacle that would leave the fans enthralled. The match would end when Rose would bring Thunder down to the mat with a horizontal slam, only for Rosa to show her technical skills by transitioning the move into the Snake Sleeper and in the blink of an eye locking Nyla in a compromising submission hold and leaving her no choice but to tap out or pass out. - 4.25 Star]

0eEdvw-SzYBnBJzv6lM-d44rIIZRNbP0asb0RBX4wGSBiQ2jGtPaFY3KxXaPQkFWEUxiBQeQaejS7qyz2HbFUj3olIvG5Pcn_CBJC0jvhiKSAPFKllNuSRR6U02Ssmwk0OwaDO_i

[The TNT Championship place on the card was still something that a lot of fans and journalists in the business were unsure about - so the contest between inaugural champion Rush and QT Marshall certainly helped in adding to the new title’s prestige as QT would offer up the best version of himself - something he hadn’t really be doing up until now. Rush clearly hadn’t been expecting this much of a challenge, but rather than being thrown off he seemed to welcome it and had to work harder than originally planned, certainly motivated as he would be holding nothing back. The match would break the ten minute mark, before the champ finally had QT grounded in the corner and would pulverise QT with the Bull’s Horns (corner shotgun dropkick) before dragging Marshall limp body away from the ropes to drop down for the cover to retain his strap. - 4.0 Star]

QskV5Xn.jpg

Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent? & Orange Cassidy) vs. Iron Horns (Sammy Guevara, The Butcher & The Blade) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus & Marko Stunt) vs. SCC (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) vs. TH4 (Angelico, Kip Sabian & Jack Evans

[In a messy match and certainly the first of its kind, it was clear that AEW were pondering the possibility of a Trios Division. It was hard to tell whether the match was a success or not irrespective of the fact that it was given a fairly high rating. The victors of the match would end up being the Irons Horns, and the victory would bring pleasure to Rush who would join them in the ring after the match. The victory would mean that all six members of the Iron Horns had won their matches at All Out, and was certainly an impressive look for the new faction. - 3.75 Star]

kVMA260.jpg

[The match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships would prove to be a massively anticipated contest, as whichever of the two teams left All Out as the champions would have a massive control influence over the rest of the division. Both teams were coming in with two pairings that had great chemistry, but unfortunately neither team really gelled in the contest itself. Love & Hayte would show exactly why they were the champions, but reality would set in when they realised that The Allure were just as willing to break the rules and employ heel tactics - and Leon and Velvet seemed much more accomplished at bending the rules.

After being on the end of a brutal beating from Leon, Hayter had been seeking out Starlight Kid but Velvet would pull her off the apron and prevent her from tagging in. With no means of getting help, Jamie would fall victim to Mandy’s assault as she would spring off the ring ropes and land on top of Hayter with the Leonsault before hooking over her legs to win the match - and claim the championship belts for The Allure. - 3.5 Star]

EBXWeO1.jpg

[There was no build up to this match, so it was simply put forward as a great match for the fans to enjoy and the match would prove to be exactly that - as it would end up being a fine mix between power grappling wrestling by Moxley and well tuned technical wrestling by Lethal that would amount to a gripping contest that would leave the fans completely engaged and heavily invested in the outcome of the contest. Both men would push the other to their limit, but it would be Lethal who would claim the victory after escaping the grips of the Paradigm Shift and instead spring off the ropes and nailing Moxley with the Lethal Injection to claim the victory.

After Jay had celebrated the win, Moxley would be left alone in the ring and would cut a short promo. He would announce that he had enjoyed being part of this AEW project, but that his contract had expired and he had chosen not to renew it and that he would be departing the promotion for the time being. (it would emerge after the event, that Moxley had in fact signed a contract with the WWE and intended to return to work for the McMahons). - 4.75 Star]

30tAMWb.jpg

[The contest would feature the only other two women on the roster that had held the Women’s Championship, with both Riho and Kylie Rae continuing to show why AEW was very much the true home of women’s wrestling as they would put on the best match of the night so far - that would feature a number of key moments:

- Riho would put her own body on the line, after laying Rae outside the ring. She would mount the turnbuckle and leap off it crashing down onto Kylie and the concrete below with a high impact Diving Elbow Drop that would result in the pair nearly both being counted by the referee.

- Kylie would seem intent on causing Riho as much damage as possible and after backing her up into a corner would nail with a total of seven Kylie Kicks in a row, but despite the force to the face that Riho had taken the former Joshi star would manage to raise her shoulders and end a three count at the last possible moment.

The match would end with Riho leaping off the turnbuckle looking to a nail Kylie whilst her back was turned, but by good fortune alone Rae would catch Riho in mid-air and instead use her momentum against her and transition the move into a piledriver to bring an end to the contest and give Kylie an important career win. - 5.25 Star]

3MHYb7X.jpg

[This was a match that was wetting everyone’s appetite, as it would see the inaugural World Champion take on a fellow British wrestler Will Osreay who up to this point was yet to lose a singles match but there was no doubt that this would be Will’s toughest opponent up to this point. Both men would battle for pinfalls with at least a dozen each by both men whether it was after Ospreay had connected with the OsCutter or PAC utilising the turnbuckle and ropes to connect with various aerial diving moves.

The match though would end with Ospreay grabbing hold of PAC and nailing him in the middle of the ring with the StormBreaker before folding his foe in half and claiming the win to his name and maintain his unbeaten streak. -
4.75 Star]

ww0lH38.jpg

[Bea was going into the contest knowing that if she beat Angelina tonight, it would mark her tenth successful defence of her second reign. On the other side of the coin, a win for Angelina Love would mean that the Allure would have claimed all of the women’s titles in one foul swoop. The intensity of the match though would be unlike anything that the previous other matches featuring members of the Women’s Division had been for the rest of the show as it clear as day that Bea and Angelina were intent of doing everything in their power to beat the crap out of their opposite number to make sure they were the one that left with the Women’s World Championship in their possession.

For a moment it looked as if the title was going to change hands when Angelina Love would break through Priestley’s defence and nail her with a Botox Kick that would only not result in a successful cover due to Bea’s legs being partially underneath the ropes when the cover had been attempted. This would lead to Love losing her mind and throwing a full on tantrum as she would start screaming in the match official’s face - only to be spun around on her axis by Priestley who would nail Love with the Rolling Cutter and then drop down over her to claim the win and retain her much coveted championship belt in the process. - 4.0 Star]

X5IIQAz.jpg

[If there had been any doubt in anyone’s mind that about the legitimacy of the AEW Tag Division, then any such viewpoints would be forgotten about forever after Dark Order and Caza Salvaje would put on one hell of a match that without a doubt would leave everyone wanting more even after the bell had been rung to bring the match to a conclusion. It was also hard to believe that Fenix and Vikingo were very much a brand new partnership, because both men had amazing chemistry together as a tag team.

Both teams would have moments where it looked like the match would swing either way. Vikingo would nail Stu Grayson with a truly wicked 630 senton, with the count only being stopped whenever Evil Uno charged into the ring and kicked Vikingo square in the jaw. On the other hand Fenix would be nailed with the Fatality (Gory Bomb Diving Cutter combination), with Rey only surviving by reach out and brushing the bottom rope to enforce a rope-break.

The match would come to an end when Grayson and Fenix were battling on the turnbuckle, with Fenix using all his strength to launch both men off the turnbuckle with the Spanish Fly - however before hitting the move Vikingo had tagged himself making himself the legal man and followed up by spring-boarding off the ropes with a 450 Splash to bring an end to the contest. The win would mean that Caza Salvaje were not only the tag team champions, but Rey Fenix had successfully been a victor in a match for the titles on the last two All Out as a member of two different teams. - 5.0 Star]

GsSWrRw.jpg

[This contest was truly an All or Nothing contest. A win for Jericho would mean that Nakamura would never be able to challenge for AEW World Championship, whilst a win for Nakamura would mean that Jericho career would end tonight and he would never wrestle again - meaning that at least one of these accomplished wrestler was never going to be the AEW World Champion and the pressure that came with such heavy stipulations were radiating off both men as they stood in the middle of the ring and stared each other down.

The match was without a doubt the most gripping of the night, because it was clear that fans were divided in what they wanted from the match as they knew what the ramifications of a loss for either combatant would mean. The fans would roar with encouragement at one point when Jericho would lock in the Wall on Nakamura and try with all his might to make the Japanese superstar tap out, but Nak would use every fibre of his being to pull himself towards the ropes and grab hold of them to escape the brutal punishment that the veteran was handing out to him.

The match would come to an end when Jericho would nail Nakamura with the Judas Effect, only rather than fully connect with would only glance of Shinsuke who rather than falling to the ground would instead rebound off the ropes and instead nail Jericho in the back of the head with a truly brutal Kinshasa before locking Jericho in the Shining Triangle and forcing him to tap out. Nakamura would be respectful and shake Jericho’s hand before giving him the ring.

In an emotional final promo, Jericho would thank the fans for their continued support throughout his career but would in fact confirm that he was in fact hanging up his boots and he would no longer be stepping in the ring to fight. There seemed to be a suggestion he had picked up some sort of long-term injury to convince him to retire, but this wasn’t confirmed. Without a doubt the fans would show their appreciation and admiration for a man who was without a doubt one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. - 5.25 Star]

vQWRBh9.jpg

[All Out had been a star studded card, but there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that this third and deciding match between Ishii and Omega was set to be the best of the entire night and it would turn out to be exactly that as it would be recognised as being the match of the night - with some member of the press even suggesting that it might even be a match of the year candidate. Some of most memorable moments of the highlights would include:

- In a similar manner to their match at Double or Nothing, both men would slap the crap out of each other's chest leaving deep red marks on each other’s chest showing absolutely no mercy for the other. Ishii though would power through the pain and continue to chop down Omega, not even allowing him to counter before slamming him in the jaw with a forearm smash to drop Kenny to the mat.

- Considering the importance of the match, the referee would seem to allow both men to fight outside of the ring and wouldn’t enforce a ring count. This would lead to both men battling on the Doctor’s table, before Omega would twist Ishii and send them both through the table with a swinging neckbreaker. As Kenny would clamber into the ring, and demand the referee start his count - the official would make it clear that he would do no such thing.

- Kenny would expose a turnbuckle and throw the cover away, but would end up suffering the consequences from it and be bust open as both men would fight for superiority on the turnbuckle as Omega would be drop faced first on the exposed metal with a brutal Vertical Brain Buster that would cause profuse amount of blood to spurt from Kenny’s forehead.

With a bloody faced Omega in the ring and his scarlet liquid spilling all over the ring, Kenny looked like a wounded animal as he was stumbling around the ring and Ishii would charge forward and knock Omega with a Lariat only for Kenny to immediately get back to his feet. Ishii would charge forward again, but this time Kenny would leap into the air and smash a knee square into Ishii’s jaw causing him to drop to one knee. Omega would have a manic smile on his face as he would rebound off the ropes and crunch into Ishii with the V-Trigger, but despite the impact Tomohiro wouldn’t collapse onto the floor.

Kenny though would wrench Ishii’s arm before raising him up onto his shoulders before nailing Ishii with the One-Winged Angel before holding him down, for the one, two, three and just like that the match would draw to an end and Omega reign as the AEW World Champion would continue. - 5.75 Star]

@Canadian Dragon & @The Fourth Wall both got 9/16 correct, whilst @Blainebino got 8/16

Rather than Jeff and 4th having to pick 2.5 women's wrestlers each - they will both pick three each. (if they are on the training roster - you will be allowed to pick someone else)

Feel free to make selections in this thread.

Update

This project will be expanded following All Out 2020 - to now have two further shows added to the week schedule.

aew-rampage-logo.jpg

That will act in a similar manner to IRL Rampage, being a supplementary bonus to Dynamite on TV.

410FEzS.jpg

Atomic - will be a supplementary show exclusively for the member of the Women's Division and be used to advance storyline and gives matches to more member of the women's roster.
