Chapter Six - Part Eleven

YZWd0AtA1eQtZLCiQYcTcRP_JHl37Q1s7h237iuaWaFMUPxGCZFLZJq6gtB8uPs_D7gLfeiLyYjrwB5QIhP1sWXKUasxv8sJg3nwrdsgUcoODP6DZuiAD4FVTbCYaEYkwO0Kwyku

WALTER x Ospreay - Act One

WALTER would make it clear following Halloween Havoc that he wasn’t going to act like an idiot and make a fool of himself by chasing after Gresham and doing his best to win the Pumpkin Bowl and that instead he intended to prove himself as one of the best in the world and couldn’t think of a better way of doing that by claiming a win over one of the hottest talents on the roster - Will Ospreay. After name-dropping the young talent, WALTER would make it clear that he intended on being the man to bring Ospreay’s streak to an end.

It would be confirmed that both men had been booked to face each other at Full Gear, but that wouldn’t be the end of the build up. The following week on Dynamite WALTER & Mr. Brodie Lee would team up and claim a tag team victory over The Elite (Ospreay & Hangman). The loss would frustrate Will, but he would prove himself much more capable on his own that same week on Rampage as he would claim a single victory over Penta. After the match, Ospreay would cut a promo and make it clear that unlike his opponent he had never failed to make a name for himself at every company he had worked for and that WALTER was just a common example of a man who had climbed too far up the ladder only to fall down the rungs and attempt to climb up again, but instead going through another window. At the end of the day, the Austrian export was nothing other than a reject.

It was clear that Will’s word had annoyed WALTER, because in the next week of Dynamite following claiming a victory over Lethal - the Austrian giant would make it clear that he was thinking about nothing else other than bringing an end to the streak. The pair would have on final run in on the Rampage prior to Full Gear as the pair would feature in a six man tag team match, that would see The Elite (Ospreay & The Bucks) pick up a victory over the Wild Boyz & WALTER. After the contest Ospreay and WALTER would have an intense stare-down in the middle of the ring, before WALTER would smile and offer Will his hand which would throw off the Brit. However, both men would shake hands and go into the PPV with a certain level of respect being felt by both men.

Chapter Six Finale

TnnwYir.jpg

TH4 (Angelico, Jack Evans, Kip Sabian & Shawn Spears) w/ Jake 'The Snake' Roberts
vs.
Bullet Club (Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens)

[It was clear that as a duo the Good Brothers were the standout pairing in the contest, although three members of TH4 (not Shawn Spears) were former AEW World Tag Team Champions so there was certainly some talent on both sides. Owens and Takahashi would both at times look weak, but as soon as the moment arose Gallows and Anderson would take hold of Jack Evans and nail him with the Magi Killer to win the contest. - 3.75 Star]

tOSrlAS.jpg

TJP (c) vs. Alex Reynolds

[Reynolds would put on a good performance and show exactly why he had recently been promoted to the main roster, and it was clear he possessed a lot of raw talent. The difference between him and the champion though, was that TJP was a proven combatant and would just take risks but he’d also pull them off nine times out of ten and would claim the victory and thus retain the TNT Championship by nailing Reynolds with the 520 Springboard DDT. - 4.0 Star]

VJTBj2s.jpg

Iron Horns (Rush, Sammy Guevara & The Blade) w/ The Bunny
vs.
Young Bucks & Jonathan Gresham
vs.
Contra Unit (Jacob Fatu, Pentagon, Jr. & Josef Samael)
vs.
R-Union Party (Simon Gotch & Matthew Morris) & Paul London

[Twelve men and a whole lot of tables would produce a true splinter fest, with moment after moment after moment where someone would either be sent through a table by way of kick, slam or a leap from the ropes but irrespective of how it happened the result was always the same. Pain. Lots and lots of pain. With bodies scattering the ring and broken tables littering ringside, the match would reach its conclusion when Jacob Fatu would nail Paul London with a Super Powerbomb off the turnbuckle to send him through the table before Pentagon, Jr. would launch off the turnbuckle with a Diving Senton on top of London to claim a decisive victory for Contra Unit. - 5.0 Star]

IeSE8gK.jpg

Darby Allin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jay Lethal vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Jeff Cobb vs. Tyler Black vs. PAC vs. Hangman Page

[There was no doubt, especially considering the calibre of the eight men involved, that the Casino Ladder Match was without a doubt one of the best matches of the night. A number of rivalries old and new would form in this match which wasn’t surprising considering all the combustible elements a match of this nature created.

- Cody and former Nightmare Family member Jeff Cobb would certainly have their moments of bashing heads.

- Darby Allina and PC would seem very interested in each other, almost as if they were trying to prove who was more capable of pulling off the more dangerous aerial assault.

- Whilst Tyler Black seemed to have an unsettling obsession with Jay Lethal.

The match would come to its conclusion with only three men still on their feet, Tyler Black, Cody Rhodes and Shinsuke Nakamura. Cody Rhodes and Nakamura would seem to come to some sort of agreement as Nak would nail Black with the Kinshasa before Rhodes would nail Black with the Cross Rhodes. Before Cody had time to reach though Nakamura would springboard off the ropes and dropkick the ladder square into Cody’s face busting him wide open before picking up an errant steel steel chair before proceeding to clamber up the ladder and pull down the contract earning himself a shot at the AEW World Championship at Revolution. - 5.5 Star]

DcDs63A.jpg

The Allure (Mandy Leon & Velvet Sky) (c) vs. JPN-gun (Sakazaki & Riho) | Special Guest Referee: Madusa

[Prior to the match, Madusa would make her first appearance in an AEW ring as the Special Guest Referee and carry on the tradition of established former figurehead taking on the role as an official during a match at Full Gear. Madusa would call the match straight down the middle and it was clear that she wasn’t a stooge for either of the two teams. Riho and Sakazaki would put on a good show, but there were moments where they just weren’t able to ramp it up to fifth gear. The Allure though would be on another level though, and they would retain the belt after Velvet would nail Riho with the #1 Stunna to bring an end to the contest and retain the title belts. - 5.25 Star]

mOrWVAG.jpg

WALTER vs. Will Ospreay

[There was a certain level of intensity between WALTER and Ospreay that hadn’t been felt in any of the earlier matches, with both men being touted as future AEW World Champions. The match would be very back and forth with there being o point in the match where either man had a clear advantage over the other with it looking at times as though Ospreay unblemished singles record would come to an end. One of these occasions would occur when WALTER would nail his British counterpart with the Fire Thunder Driver before singing in the Gojira Clutch, with Ospreay only escaping the submission by managing to reach out to the ropes and scraping his fingers against the bottom rope.

The match would come to an ending with Will attempting to nail the Austrian with the OsCutter only for his opponent to counter the move and instead smash Ospreay in the face with a high knee. The move would stun Will, as WALTER would take hold of him only to be met with an elbow smash to the side of the head before running to the ropes and nailing WALTER with the Essex Destroyer before cradling him over to pick up the match victory. - 4.5 Star]

[Later on in the evening, as Will was returning to his car to leave the arena as soon as he went to open the door it would explode in a fireball and Ospreay would be be thrown backwards and land on the asphalt looking in a whole lot of trouble and most certainly having been knocked out from the blast. - 5.0 Star]

UE03a8K.jpg

Kylie Rae vs. Hikaru Shida

[Although there hadn’t been any major build up between the two women, both women were two of the very best that AEW had to offer. Kylie a former Women’s Champion, whilst Hikaru was the unofficial leader of the JPN-gun (although this viewpoint was debated with some suggesting it was Riho). The match itself would be to a good standard, with both talent showing their worth and perhaps why they might be deserving of a future title shot. The match would end when Shida would nail Rae with the Three Count (Running Knee Strike) before she would lock in the Full Metal Muffler and force Rae to tap out and claim the victory. - 4.25 Star]

WAiNxEO.jpg

Caza Salvaje (El Hijo Del Vikingo & Rey Fenix) (c)
vs.
Wild Boyz (Jordan Oliver & El Phantasmo)

[The Wild Boyz would cash in their title shot they had earned by winning the Casino Royale, with Oliver and ELP continuing to prove themselves as one of the hottest tag teams not just in AEW, but all of professional wrestling. The fact that they were battling against another virtually brand new team, made the match that much more exciting and it was the determination of all four men involved that most likely led to the contest being recognised as the match of the night as all four member would be willing to sacrifice their bodies in order to get the job done.

The match though would turn to favour one side when El Phantasmo would launch himself off the turnbuckle with the intent of nailing Rey Fenix with the THUNDERKISS ‘86 only for Vikingo to drag his partner out of harm's way. The high impact of the drop would incapacitate ELP for the rest of the match, with Oliver falling victim to a two on one scenario with the match coming to an end when Fenix would nail Oliver with the Spanish Fly, followed by Vikingo following up with a 630 Senton to bring the contest to a close and Caza SAlvaje retaining the tag team championship belts.

One thing was certain after the contest though, and that was that the fans most definitely wanted to see both these teams do battle again. - 6.0 Star]

9suImpY.jpg

Bea Priestley (c) vs. Jamie Hayter

[For many fans this was one of most sought after matches of the night, because irrespective of the result the loser would not only not be the Women’s World Champion but they would also no longer be a part of Oedo Tai’s US Chapter. There would be a number of key moments in the match that would really define the contest between both starlets:

- In a despicable move, Priestley would grab an Oedo Tai scarf from a member of the crowd and apply it out around Hayter’s neck before placing a foot on the Jamie back and choking the life out of her opponent as the referee would lose their mind and demand Bea break the illegal hold.

- Jamie might have turned face recently, but she was still a member of Oedo Tai and would show her nasty streak after forcing Bea into the corner and punching her hard into the stomach as she would drop to the floor. Hayter would insult Priestley with a couple of face washes with her boot before taking a run up and driving into Bea with a Running Knee. Hayter would pat Priestley mockingly in the face, before repeating to strike again and again and again until on the fourth strike it looked as if she had busted Bea’s nose wide open with blood spurting everywhere.

- In one of the more brutal moment of the match, Priestley would wedge Hayter in between the bottom and middle rope before clambering onto the turnbuckle and spiking down on Hayter’s face with the Flawless Victory (Diving Double Stomp) that would have won her the match, if Jamie hadn’t instinctively rolled underneath the rope to avoid the pinfall.

The match would come to an end when Priestley would catch out Hayter on the turnbuckle and nail her in the head with the Cheeky Nandos Kick before climbing onto the ropes and nailing Hayter with the Rolling Cutter that would cause both women to land with a bump in the middle of the ring. Priestley would show her vindictive side as she would hammer-fist Hayter multiple times with the referee calling for the bell, with Jamie looking as if she had been knocked out cold.

To add insult to injury prior to accepting her belt from the referee, Bea would forcefully rip of Hayter boots off and her knee bad with the set being marked with the Oedo Tai logo before visibly spitting on her former faction mate before ripping the title out of the referees clutches and celebrating her win and would be joined by Britt Baker and Starlight Kid as she did so. - 5.25 Star]

NN4l3bp3VH8r7fbK3WmotvWjMOhSDWnIoHxhHzpmMawrWyvTRaeW9sc8sNPx6PxDKfbAlHx_rk3opaSCVlWUCGx0PcFWGnXHg29YjLm8I6km-4KOXgdA3woNAoESD3Kajf7AeS2L

[The celebration would end much sooner than Priestley would have wanted, as a countdown clock would begin to count from ten as the light in the arena would dim, before music that hadn’t been heard before in AEW would play out around the arena.

No one was sure who the music belonged to, but all that would change as a very familiar face in the wrestling community would step out from the back, mostly known as Sasha Banks.

e8a2f51f256ed964ea1c54f86dd46e62.gif

With microphone in hand, the new arrival would introduce themselves as Venom Banks before going making it clear that she was in fact All Elite. VB would make it clear that she had one thing in mind, as he pointed towards Bea Priestley and that she intended on becoming the AEW Women’s World Champion. And that it didn’t matter who was in possession of the belt, because the result would always be the same. Money in the bank, and the Boss with the belt. - 4.5 Star]

NW8UAfG.jpg

Kenny Omega (c) vs. PCO

[This would be the third meeting between both men, with Kenny having won the previous two matches for the Word Championship, his world championship. Just like the other two matches, PCO would respond very strangely to pain and actually seem to become more motivated and more deadly every time Kenny connected with a solid move. After Kenny connected with a perfectly timed V-Trigger, PCO would seem to lose his mind and would go on an absolute rampage. For the next ten minutes of the match, Omega would be on the receiving end of a brutal beatdown from PCO with the French-Canadian Frankenstein seeming more intent on hurting Omega than actually winning the match. The momentum would change though, when PCO in one of his scheme would place Kenny on the turnbuckle setting up for some sort of devilish move, only for Kenny to have been playing possum as he would launched off the turnbuckle and nail PCO in the back of the head with a Missile Dropkick!

Kenny would follow up with not one, not two, but six V-Triggers before PCO would finally stop trying to get back to his feet. This wouldn’t stop Kenny from fighting though, as he would begin to punch PCO repeatedly in his forehead before grabbing PCO from behind and with all of his strength folding the giant over with Croyt’s Wrath before pinning PCO and bringing an end to the three month feud and remain the AEW World Champion as the Full Gear show would come to a finish. - 5.25 Star]

Thought I'd update you.

Usos not interested in my offer currently, that bastard Scott D'Amore blocking the Guns. Roode been signed, but James Storm might be able to become one of my biggest contract signings in this game.
