Chapter Three Finale

[Sammy Guevara and Frankie would open the show, with the man that had been recently labelled as the ‘Spanish God’ would claim a win on his first pay per view appearance as he would nail Kazarian with the GTH to pick up a landmark victory. - 3.25 Star]

[Orange Cassidy would also make his debut on PPV and follow in Sammy’s footsteps by claiming a win of his own as he would nail Spears with the Orange Punch to bring the match to an end. - 3.25 Star]

[The match was a battle of seconds, with Hangman being Omega’s second and Hager being Jericho’s. Both men brought very elements to the ring, with Hager’s MMA repertoire meaning that Page would do his best to avoid being caught on the mat as much as possible. It would be a match in which Page would truly be tested, especially in his floor game and countering submission moves. The match would end though with the Elite members hand held high as he would connect with the Buckshot Lariat to pick up the W. - 4.25 Star]

[Nakamura had started to be taken more seriously following his win over Cobb at Full Gear, and Janela and Nak had been having a minor feud intermittently over the two months leading up to Revolution. Janela would put up a good fight and take some solid bumps, but at no point in the match was he a threat and his usage was to help but Nakamura over as much as possible. Shinsuke would go for overkill to finish the match by nailing Janela with the Kinshasa before locking him in the Shining Triangle and forcing Janela tap out. - 3.75 Star]

[Both women would have a direct rematch of the match they’d had at Full Gear, with Awesome Kong having made it clear she was still furious about her loss at Full Gear and had demanded a chance at redemption. The match would prove to be better than the first encounter, and would break the ten minute mark. Once again though Nyla would pick up the win, after once again forcing Kong to tap out by locking her in the Camel Clutch. - 3.75 Star]

Best Friends (Trent? & Chuck Taylor) vs. The Butcher & The Blade vs. Higher Education (Kip Sabian & Peter Avalon) vs. Dark Order vs. Private Party, Strong Hearts vs. Jurassic Express vs. SCU

[The eight team match would work on the same rules as a standard scramble match, with the first pin-fall or submission deciding the winner. The match would be completely chaotic with the Dark Order under Tully Blanchard mentorship claiming the victory in what had been an entertaining fast and spot filled contest. - 3.75 Star]

[It would quite the night for PPV debuts, with Will Ospreay proving exactly why Tony Khan had spent a large amount of money to buy him out of NJPW contract contract - as he would prove himself in being one of the best wrestlers in the world as he would make light work of MJF and finish with off with a brutally executed Storm Breaker! - 4.5 Star]

[Cassandra Golden would finally get the match she had been seeking ever since she had made main roster debut, with a pay per view against Priestley. The match would turn heads, but it was clear that Golden was struggling to gauge the interest of the fans as she simply wasn’t over at this point of time - which left the fans very grateful when the match finally came to a finish when Priestley nailed Golden with the Rolling Cutter to pick up the victory, over a clearly disappointed rookie. - 3.5 Star]

[The Young Bucks would certainly be surprised by the level of competition that Angelico & Jack Evans would bring to the table, especially when for many they weren’t even considered the first or second ranked contenders in the division. Nonetheless, TH2 would really step up to the plate and once again the tag team division would play host to the best match of the night as they would have amazing chemistry with Matt & Nick Jackson. The match had a very lucha feel to it, with both teams being no strangers to the lucha libre style.

An array of tandem Superkicks would result in a collection of near falls, but the match’s profile would really change when Nick Jackson would be wiped out with the Fall of the Angels by Angelico - before Evans would crash down on top of with a 630 Senton only to drop down for the cover and all the fans would be left stunned as the referee would count - one, two, three much quicker than normal in what was clearly some sort of foul play by the match official. This would result in the Bucks getting heated with the referee and nail him with a Superkick Party as TH2 would escape from the ring with the tag team belts now in their possession. - 5.25 Star]

[The battle for the Pumpkin Bowl had now reached its final chapter, as the winner of the triple threat match would be the last holder of the prize and be the man who would challenge for the AEW World Championship. Darby had won the prize the Dynamite following Halloween Havoc and had held the prize for just under four months and it was clear he was desperate to retain his beloved. After wiping out London, he would clamber up onto the turnbuckle and attempt to take out London with the Coffin Drop only to be caught unexpectedly by Ishii only to be lifted up into a vertical position before nailed with a nasty Vertical Drop Brainbuster before folding Allin and claiming the victory and the shot at the world title at the last furlong. - 5 Star]

Nightmare Family (DDP, Cobb, Dustin Rhodes, Gunn & Gunn)
vs.
Company of Bastards (Penta, Fenix, PCO, Luthor & Cody)

[In a five-on-five match with both factions not fighting just for pride, but for the right for their faction to carry on existing - with it having been confirmed that the losing faction would be forced to disband. The start and middle portions of the match would be truly chaotic, but it would be the closing moment of the match that would be truly memorable.

The run of events would begin with PCO catching Austin Gunn in mid-air and chokeslamming him into the side of the cage causing him to fall between the ring ropes in an awful mess. DDP would respond by laying out the French-Canadian Frankenstein with the Diamond Cutter only for Luthor to follow up by taking off Dallas' head with a brutal Running Big Boot only to be wiped out by the Famouser by Billy Gun.

With three men left standing on either team, everyone would be left stunned as Cody would drop to his knee and nail both members of the Lucha Bros with perfectly time and unexpecting low blows as Dustin would pick up Penta and nail him with the Final Call, whilst Cobb took hold of Fenix to hit the Tour of the Islands before both men could go for tandems pins and following a betrayal from Cody Rhodes - the Company of Bastards was no more. - 4.25 Star]

[It was clear that Kylie had no intention of losing the belt on her very first title defence, and her performance was nothing short of dominant as the manner in which she toyed with Riho could be compared to the manner in which a cats plays with a mouse or small bird with the intent to maim it for sport, rather than with the intention of actually killing it. When Kylie had clearly had her fun though, in what can only be described as being a showcase or exhibition of talents she would nail Riho with a Discus Lariat before locking the former champion in the Smile To The Finish (STF) and force the former Joshi star to tap and bring the farce to its conclusion. - 4.75 Star]

[A six man ladder match, was normally a thing of a champions’ nightmare, but in the case of PAC this is exactly what the inaugural AEW World Champion had wanted in what ‘The Bastard’ felt would elevate him world champion to legend status if he was able to defend the belt in such a hellacious match. However, it was clear that he hadn’t been expecting the ‘Company of Bastards’ to have disbanded, which seemed to throw him off his game somewhat - at the worst possible moment. There would be a number of notable moments from a match of this manner especially considering the talent involved in the contest:

- Batista would nail Lethal with a truly destructive Batista Bomb down onto a ladder bridge that had been setup between the ring apron and the security barrier at ringside.

- As Jericho had champion PAC locked in the Walls of Jericho with no means of claiming the win and clearly just looking to cause ‘The Bastard’ as much pain as possible - Jay Lethal would wipe out Jericho with the EnzuFury.

- Omega would obliterate Lethal with the One Winged Angel from the top of the ladder and down onto the canvas below.

Moxley and PAC would be fighting on top of the ladder reaching for the belt, only for Dave Batista to use all his force to knock the ladder over sending Moxley and PAC down out of the ring and crashing through a number of tables that had been setup outside of the ring - with both men seeming to have ruled themselves out of contention from the massive bump they had taken. It was after this moment that Omega would nail Batista with the V-Trigger before ascending up the ladder and pulling down the AEW World Championship belt down and thus bringing PAC’s historic six month reign as champion to an end, and beginning a new era for All Elite Wrestling. The Omega Era. - 5 Star]

Chapter Four - Part One

The Rise of Oedo Tai (US Chapter)

On the second episode of Dynamite following Revolution, Britt Baker would pick up a victory over Yuka Sakazaki and would be joined by Jamie Hayter and Bea Priestley in the ring. Priestley, the current leader of Oedo Tai’s US Chapter, would reveal the newest member of the grou as also the newest member of the roster signing straight from STARDOM - Starlight Kid.

The following week, reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Kylie Rae would successfully defend the belt against a challenger Emi Sakura. After the match Kylie would cut a promo where she would make it clear that she had a lot of respect for the Oedo Tai’s US Chapter as they were currently the only faction in All Elite Wrestling that was representing the best that the women’s division had to offer - and that next week she intended to face a member of Oedo Tai next and she would put her title on the line as an added bonus.

It would be announced that Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter and Starlight Kid would all face each other in a triple threat match - with the winner facing Kyle Rae in the go-home show’s main-event for the women’s title. It would be the newest member of the group Starlight Kid who would pick up an impressive debut victory and prove her worth, and thus would be challenging for the Women’s Championship on only her second match as a member of AEW. Starlight Kid would put on a good performance for someone who was wrestling twice in one night, but Kylie would pick up on this weakness and benefit from it as she would retain the title but show nothing but respect for Starlight Kid and she hands with Japanese talent after the contest.

It would be announced that at Blood & Guts, Kylie was set to face the highest ranked women in the division Priestley. Both women would wrestle to a good contest, but it was Kylie Rae who won the match and successfully defended the belt for the fourth time of her reign. On the fallout show, Kylie Rae would defend her title once again with a win over Riho and maintain her perfect single record since debuting. Meanwhile, Priestley would end up suffering a loss to Hikaru Shida. After the match Shida would cut a short promo, where she would make it very clear that she was the woman most deserving of a shot at Kylie’s title - with it being very clear that she had called the championship’s Kylie rather than calling it the Women’s Championship.

The following week Kylie Rae would open the show with an intense promo in which would make it clear that Bea Priestley and Riho as the previous two champion had been vital in generating the interest in AEW Women’s Division, but now that the building blocks and foundations had been laid down, but she was the champion that was making the Women’s Championship relevant. Many people had underestimated her up to this point, but she stood with the belt in her hand as the very best that AEW had to offer. During that evening, Baker and Hayter would both pick up victories over Sakazaki and Sakura before Priestley would cut a promo with all four members of Oedi Tai surrounding her, where she would make it clear that she was surrounded by three of the toughest women on the roster and that every single member of the group had the potential to one day be a future AEW Women’s World Champion.

In the build up to Bash at the Beach a new faction would emerge with Cassandra Golden, Kris Statlander and Sadie Gibbs identifying themselves as the “Golden Girls” and with Cassandra as the group’s assumed leader. Cassandra would make it clear that enough was enough, and that the women’s locker-room had grown tired of allowing Oedo Tai to do exactly what they wanted. This would lead to a rematch of the match between Priestley and Golden at Revolution taking place, but it would this time Cassandra Golden who would pick up a monumental victory over Bea at Bash at the Beach. In the Women’s title match Kylie and Hikaru would feature in a highly entertaining contest, but it would be Kylie who would once again have her hand held high after another successful title defence.

A fortnight later, Shida and Kylie would exchange words backstage with Kylie making it clear that she was willing to give Shida a second shot at the belt - but would confirm that she was already looking past Hikaru as she had requested a match between herself and Bea Priestley at Double or Nothing. The disrespect of being almost treated as not a major threat, certainly wound up Shida - but Kylie Rae would walk the walk as much as she talked the talk by claiming a seventh defence meaning that she now only needed to successfully defend the title one more title to equal Priestley's record. It also meant that since joining AEW, Kylie Rae now held a record of 11-0 in one-on-one singles matches meaning that she truly was a threat to be reckoned with. On the go-home show, Oedo Tai’s Bea and Britt would be scheduled to face Kylie Rae and mystery partner, with the mystery partner ending up being the difference maker and being none other than a returning Aja Kong who would give Rae a much needed victory and all the momentum that came with it ahead of her title defence against Bea Priestley at Double or Nothing.

The 2nd Edition of the First Fight Tournament

It was announced at Double or Nothing, which would act as the anniversary show for AEW, an eight team tournament with the purpose of crowning inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships as the second edition of AEW’s ‘The First Fight’ tournament.

The Allure (Angelina Love, Velvet Sky & Mandy Leon) would debut as the newest member of the women’s division, with it being announced that the Lipstick Mafia (Love & Sky) would represent the trio in the tournament. The trio wouldn’t be the only new introductions to the division, with Kamille debuting on an episode of Dynamite and would announce that herself and Awesome Kong had formed a team that would be called ‘Twin Peaks’ and that the pair would be also be entering ‘The First Fight’ tournament with the intention of becoming the inaugural tag team champions. Natalya Niedhart would also debut as one of the company's newest signings, and she would be joined by Anna Jay in the ring before being joined by the Dark Order in the ring. Evil Uno would announce that Anna and Natalya were both the newest members of the Dark Order, with Anna Jay being 99 and Natalya 66 and that the team would be called Order 66.

Existing members of the roster would also form teams with The Bunny & Penelope Ford forming ‘The Horn Blowers’ an extension of the Iron Horns faction, whilst Golden Girls members Statlander & Gibbs working as a duo named 24 Karat Gold. Ryo Mizunami would also be introduced by Cody Rhodes as the newest member of the Nightmare Family and that Ryo would team up Brandi at Double or Nothing. The other three teams announced would be Oedo Tai (Priestley & Baker), RihoShida and Love & Hayte (Jamie Hayter & Starlight Kid) with the bracket for Double or Nothing be announced as shown below:

Chapter Four - Part Two

Best On The Block (Mejor En El Bloque) - Act Three

With the manner in which TH2 had won the belts, it wasn’t at all surprising that the Young Bucks were left fuming during the following episode of Dynamite and they would reveal they had a clause in their contracts that meant they had the right to a rematch for any title belt they lost within a thirty day period. Jack Evans would make it clear that they had no problems with defending their titles right now, and that is exactly what they would do. However, the match referee who would be a different official from the match at Revolution. Foul play would take place again though, with the referee calling for the bell claiming that the match had resulted in a time limit draw. Matt and Nick Jackson would be furious as they were shouting at the referee, as it had been very clear that the contest between both teams had barely lasted longer than ten minutes.

The next week TH2 would face a much easier opponent by claiming a win over The Factory (QT Marshall & Dustin Rhodes). After the match, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts would reveal himself as the manager of TH2 and admit that in both of his clients matches against the Young Bucks he had bribed both match official with large sums of money, so that there was no means by which the Jackson brothers ended either match with the belts in their possession. Jake would make it clear that the Bucks had paid their way to the top, so he was only giving as good as they got but now he had given Angelico & Evans the chance to be the future of tag team wrestling and that the Hybrid 2 brought something to the division that neither Bucks or the Lucha Bros had possessed - charisma.

TH2 would make it clear that if the Young Bucks ever wanted to challenge for the titles again, then they were going to face to earn that right and would announce at Blood & Guts that a fatal four way match would take place featuring the Gunn Club, Higher Education, Jurassic Express and The Young Bucks. But would make it clear that if the Bucks didn’t win - then they would go right back down to the bottom of the list. The problem would be that once again the referee would refuse to count pin-falls to the Bucks, with it once again being clear that Jake Roberts’ money had passed hands once again with AEW match officials as the Gunn Club would win the match. In a less interesting match, TH2 would claim another successful title defence over The Factory at the PPV.

The Hybrid 2 would defend their belt once more this time against the Best Friends, only to suffer their first loss in a non-title match against the Lucha Bros. It was therefore no surprise to anyone that Tony Khan would book both teams to battle for the belts at Bash at the Beach. The match at the show would be fought so cleanly and without having to resort to cheating, much to everyone’s surprise. The win would legitimise the reign of both Angelico & Evans, with the manner in which they had originally stolen the belts no longer seemed to matter anymore.

In the build up to Double or Nothing - it was clear that TH2 and Jake Roberts were very much enjoying teasing and making fun of the Young Bucks and would offer them a shot to challenge them for the belts at the showcase event, although would do so with a twist. They would make it clear that if the Bucks were unable to beat Higher Education - then the match at the anniversary show would be a triple threat match. The match was clearly a setup with the aim of the champions stacking the odds in their favour at Double or Nothing, so it was no surprise when Higher Education would win the match with Jake Roberts and Leva Bates running interference during the contest. TH2 would come out after the match, and make it clear that with Peter Avalon & Kip Sabian in their corner - the Young Bucks were well and truly fucked at the pay per view.

Problemas en el Paraiso - Act One

After a run of good form, the Lucha Bros would earn themselves a shot at the tag team titles at Bash at the Beach as they would challenge TH2. Although, Penta and Fenix would be left massively frustrated after the match with the pair losing cleanly to the champions and looking nothing other than second best in the contest - looking shadows of the team that had been doing battle with the Young Bucks in the early portions of the previous year that had led to them being the inaugural champions.

Things would go from bad to worse, with losses to the Expendables (PCO & London) and Private Party - with the Lucha Bros having a clear disagreement in the ring after this loss to Kassidy and Quen. Things would just go from bad to worse as The Butcher & The Blade would add further pressure on the Lucha Bros, by causing the Bros to lose their fourth consecutive match in a row. After the match, Pentagon would look furious as he would grab a steel chair and dummy that he was going to nail the referee but instead wipe out his own brother before tossing away the chair and exiting the ring.

During the go-home show both brothers would be fighting in the locker-room backstage and have to be pulled apart by match officials. Later that night it was announced that they would face each other at Double or Nothing and it seemed like the Lucha Bros as a tag team could quite possibly come to end.​

Chapter Four - Part Three

PAC Against The World - Act Two

Following his loss at Revolution, ‘The Bastard’ would get back on the horse and claim a singles win over one of his opponents in the ladder match, Jon Moxley. After the match, PAC would cut a promo where he would make it clear that he was furious that he now living in a world where the Company of Bastards no longer existed and he was no longer the AEW World Champion had been a bitter pill to swallow. However, he would make the point that considering the AEW World Championship had been recognised as the best title of the year in the Spectator Awards, not to mention being ranked #3 in their Top 50 wrestlers and therefore he would do everything in his power to reclaim the world title. The promo would end up being interrupted by Dave Batista, who would walk out from the back and stare down PAC with a massive grin on his face. Batista would make it clear that his mission had been accomplished, as he had never intended to win the belt but rather had done everything in his power to prevent PAC from retaining the belt. This would rile up both men as they would start to fight, but it would be PAC who would be laid out with the Batista Bomb.

Following his betrayal of the Company of Bastards, Cody Rhodes would rejoin the Nightmare Family and make it clear that being part of the Company of Bastards had been without a doubt the worst period of his career since he had been forced to wear face paint on and parody his own brother - so would make it clear that PAC having lost the title had only been that much sweeter.

PAC would claim a win of DDP at Blood & Guts in a match that was booked as part of him getting revenge of the man that had been key to the Company of Bastards disbanding, but in the weeks that followed leading up to Bash at the Beach that PAC and the Bastard were going to go on-on-one again with PAC making it clear that he was going to do everything in his power to burn Batista’s legacy to the ground. In the build up though PAC would suffer a massive singles loss to Darby Allin before losing in a tag team contest to Cody & Batista whilst teaming up with Jericho. The losses seemed to add up, as Batista would claim a monumental victory over PAC at Bash at the Beach.

PAC and Batista would be setup to have a cinematic match at Double or Nothing, in which would be called the ‘Bastard or Bust Match’ that was set to take place in an abandoned warehouse with stipulation being that whoever lost the match would be forced to leave the company for a while (under the angle they had suffered a career damaging beating). The match would be built up to be seen as quite edgy, with a lot of focus on PAC’s ‘Bastard’ persona, with it being pushed that his heel persona was even dark and more evil going into the match with Dave Batista very much the babyface going into the contest.​

Chapter Four - Part Four

Omega x Ishii - Act One

Kenny Omega start his reign as the AEW World Champion, by making it clear that in the fallout show’s main-event he was going to put the belt on the line against none other than Chris Jericho, making it clear that if he wasn’t able to beat the biggest son of a bitch on the AEW roster, then he simply didn’t deserve to be the champion. Omega would go on to defend the title, and also bring an end to a long standing rivalry that had been going on between both men ever since AEW had taken its very first breath.

The following week, Ishii and Omega would have a heated moment backstage with Tomohiro making it clear that with the Pumpkin Bowl in his possession, he would be the man who would challenge him for the world title at Blood & Guts. Ishii would make it clear that unlike their previous encounters in New Japan - in which Omega had been Ishii twice in championship matches (IWGP World Heavyweight Championship [2018] & IWGP USA [2017]) but that he had come to America to ruin the party and pull Omega down from the top of the mountain and intended to be the company’s third world champion, no sooner than its second had been crowned. The build up to the match would feature some exclusive content shared by NJPW, with both men really making the point that All Elite Wrestling had the potential to become in America, what NJPW was in Japan.

At Blood & Guts though, Tomohiro Ishii wouldn’t show any fear and would pull every trick out the bag as he would cheat by placing his feet on the ropes to get an illegal pinfall victory over Omega without the referee having seen his unforgivable means of claiming the win and had taken the opportunity that the Pumpkin Bowl had provided and benefited tenfold to become the new AEW World Champion.

During the Blood & Guts fallout show, a lot of time and effort would go into hyping and celebrating the fact that Tomohiro Ishii was the new AEW World Champion, with a segment that he would talk about finally being a recognised World Champion. Ishii would make it clear that he wanted to surround himself with good men and help open the door to a future generation of wrestlers and would make it clear the Ishii-gun would be searching high and low for those worthy of fighting by his side.

On the following episode of Dynamite, Wardlow would claim an impressive win over Shawn Spears. After the match Ishii would come down to the ring and formally invite Wardlow to become his first recruit in the new world power that is ‘Ishii-gun’ which Wardlow would accept. Ishii would talk about facing Omega once again for the title, and that Beach Break didn’t seem like a big enough stage for such a match - but that perhaps it would be best to confirm who was the best at Double or Nothing.

Hager would run into Omega, in what had originally been a rivalry based on Hager being Jericho’s number two, but now seemed like something more personal. Jake would make it clear that just like at Blood & Guts, he was going to prove to everyone that Kenny Omega was nothing but a great pretender. Hager had picked a bad day to piss off Kenny though, who would put on a masterclass performance over Hager to win the match and pull off an impressive performance in the night’s main-event.

The following week Ishii with Wardlow in his corner would defeat Brandon Cutler in a non-title match in under one minute, with Ishii just showing off his absolute strength and power. Later in the night, Hangman & Wardlow would have an intense stare down backstage, with it clear this was an Omega/Ishii issue and neither man looked likely to back down.

Ishii and Omega would have a tense moment in the ring, and agree to have a tag team match at Beach Break during the go-home show - with Ishii-gun claiming their first major win as a unit of Omega & Hangman.

In the leadup to Double or Nothing, Ishii would make it clear that he was looking forward to giving Omega the match he had been dreaming about all his life - only to crush his dreams and retain the AEW World Championship. Tomohiro would make it clear that Ishii-gun were proving themselves as being the best unit in AEW and that they were superior in every measure than The Elite. During the go-home Wardlow would defeat Omega in a singles match, after Ishii would distract Omega. A lapse of concentration would cost him the win in the tune up match. Ishii though wouldn’t lose his tune up, as he would claim a victory of Hangman going into the PPV and very much giving Ishii a boost ahead of their match at the anniversary show. ​
