Anyway, I thought I would share an idea to end this spamming, what would you think of instead of a Royal Rumble to get the No. 1 Contender for my major PPV (WrestleFest) a 10 man match where you are eliminated by pinfall or submission, where a new wrestler enters every 2-5 minutes?

That would be good -HBK- Kinda like the Cruiserweight ones they used to have back in the day, or you could have 2 guys face off, then once one is eliminated another guys gets into the ring and fights the previous guy who one. They are all given numbers and go in once the next guy is eliminated etc. Should be good 
yeah, that would be a nice concept, it's easier to write than a rumble. I called it the gauntlet, and used it for PRIDE Uprising. If you didn't know, then know you know.

*Bell Rings*
Jericho and Punk stare each other down in opposite corners to begin the match. They move to the center of the ring, and Punk extends his hand, offering a handshake. Y2J brushes it off and turns around, posing for the fans. As soon as Jericho turns back around, CM Punk gets Jericho in an aggressive lockup. Both men are equally strong, and are on their knees without a break. Jericho goes behind Punk and tries to take him down to the mat, but Punk quickly gets behind Y2J. Punk puts Jericho quickly in a side headlock. Jericho pushes Punk away to the ropes. Y2J catches Punk with his own side headlock. Punk wants to break out of the hold too, and pushes Jericho across the back to get out of the hold. Jericho still has a grip on it, and Punk is still trapped in the submission. Jericho takes him down with a headlock takeover, and he’s still locked in. Punk is flat on his back, and uses a leg scissors to escape the headlock. Jericho is trapped in the leg scissor hold of Punk, and he tries to move to his feet for a reversal or escape. Jericho stands on his head between Punk’s legs, and uses the momentum to jump up to his feet. Jericho attempts a boot to the head, but Punk moved back. CM Punk gets to his feet, and the two stare at each other, gaining the crowd’s applause.
Jericho challenges Punk to run against the ropes. Punk listens and does so. Punk tries to bring him down with a shoulder block, but Jericho sidestepped, with a cocky smile on his face. Punk now yells at Jericho to run the ropes. Jericho does so, and Punk moved out of the way, Jericho stops himself before running more, and throws a side kick at Punk. Punk ran against the ropes to get out of it, and he goes for a clothesline. Y2J ducked under, and grabbed both arms of Punk. He tries to bring CM down with a backslide pin attempt, But Punk remains on his feet. Punk and Jericho separate, and stare each other down again. Jericho challenges Punk to a free shot to the face. Punk obliges, and goes for a hard right hand to Y2J’s cheek. Jericho played possum, ducking under the move and knocking Punk’s legs out from under him. Jericho rolls Punk up for a pin. 1…2… Punk rolled to his left, bringing both Jericho’s shoulders down. 1…2… Jericho got his shoulder up and rolls back, followed by a lateral press cover. Punk moved out of the way to avoid getting pinned, and Jericho hits the mat. Punk goes for a short elbow drop, but Jericho also moved out of the way. Jericho is on his feet and Punk is on his knees, staring each other down again.
Punk gets to a standing position, but is quickly knocked to his knees again with a dropkick to the knee from Jericho. Jericho wants to take Punk down with a neckbreaker, but CM brought his arm up in a punch to the midsection to stop Jericho’s attempt. Punk is on his feet, and he runs against the ropes. Jericho brought him to the mat again with a drop toe hold. Y2J takes a move out of the Eddie Guerrero playbook by placing Punk’s head between his boots. Punk brought his feet up to kick Y2J in the midsection to stop the upcoming move. Jericho is knocked back a few steps, and he’s leaning against the ropes. Punk gets to a standing position quickly and looks to capitalize on Jericho’s weakness. He runs and clotheslines Jericho out of the ring. Punk waits for Jericho to get in the ring, and the ref begins to count. Jericho is standing at the ringside area, taking a breather. Jericho walks toward the ring and reaches out, grabbing Punk’s leg and knocking him to his back on the mat. Jericho jumps into the ring with a diving slingshot elbow drop.
Jericho makes the cover. 1…2… Punk got his shoulder up with time to spare. Punk rolls to his knees, trying to get up. Jericho grabs Punk by the head, having him in a front facelock. Punk hits him in the side a couple of times to get out. Punk is behind Y2J and pushes him to the ropes. Punk elbows the lower back of Jericho, a couple of times, and Y2J has a grimace on his face. Punk then snapmares him to the middle of the ring and kicks him in the back hard. Punk pushes Jericho to his back for a cover. 1…2… Jericho kicked out easily, and he rolls over to the ropes to get up. Punk runs at him, but Jericho moves out of the way nonchalantly. Punk’s chest rammed into the top rope hard, and his back gets dropkicked by Chris Jericho. Punk rolls him up for the cover, and places his feet on the ropes for leverage. 1…2… The ref looks up and sees Jericho’s dirty tactics, and forces him to break up the pin. Punk rolls back, getting to the middle of the ring on his feet. He runs at Jericho, with Y2J attempting a belly to belly throw. Punk ran straight into Jericho with a flying forearm.
Jericho is brushed back to the corner. Punk charges towards the corner, but Jericho got his boot up in Jericho’s face. He grabs Punk by the hair, running out of the corner. Punk is driven to the mat on his face with a bulldog. Jericho stands on Punk for a cocky cover. 1…2… Y2J’s body is pushed to the mat with the kickout. Punk is up, and he runs against the ropes. He lands on the throat of Jericho with a leg drop. Punk is on his feet again, awaiting the rising of Jericho. Y2J is on one knee, and Punk can’t wait any longer, grabbing him by the head. Punk brings him up for a suplex, but it is escaped quickly. Jericho chops Punk, and he runs against the ropes. Jericho goes for a running maneuver, but Punk spotted the move quickly, connecting with a leaping leg lariat. Punk makes the cover. 1…2… Jericho got his shoulder up, saving himself from a loss. Jericho gets up to his knees before Punk could capitalize. Y2J punches at the legs of Punk, getting up at the same time. Jericho has Punk weak enough to set up for a move of his own. He attempts a double underhook backbreaker, but Punk blocks the move, gaining the attack position now. Punk hooks the arms of Jericho, then bringing him down with his own double underhook backbreaker.
Punk goes to the outside, standing on the apron. As soon as Jericho stands on both feet, he flies. Jericho jumps up and saves himself by dropkicking Punk in the chest as he was coming down. Jericho raises his hands up, running to the ropes. Jericho jumps to the middle rope, attempting the Lionsault. Punk rolled out of the way, making Jericho crash to the amt on his stomach. Punk rolls Jericho over, setting up a top rope move. Punk goes for his split legged moonsault, but Jericho gets his knees up, impacting Punk’s ribs. Jericho gets up, with Punk standing on his feet. Jericho nails a Frankensteiner to Punk, making him fall to the mat. Jericho grabs the legs of Punk, going for the Walls of Jericho. Punk kicked Jericho in the stomach to escape the submission hold. Punk is on his feet, with Jericho falling back to the corner. Punk runs at the corner, attempting a high knee to the face. He connects with the move, now going for a bulldog out of the corner. Jericho pushes Punk away, making Punk run against the ropes. Jericho grabs the running Punk, rolling over with a rolling Walls of Jericho.
Punk is screaming in pain in Jericho’s devastating submission hold. Punk manages to roll over, breaking the submission. Punk is leaning on the ropes, with Jericho looking disappointed about the escape. Jericho tries to sweep Punk’s legs out again, setting up the Walls once more. Punk countered with a kick straight to the face, sending Jericho back to the middle of the ring. Jericho looks groggy, and he drops to his knees. Punk runs at him, trying a Shining Wizard. Jericho rolled out of the way, and Punk’s body is able to stay in the match. Jericho runs at Punk, going for the Codebreaker. Punk caught him, setting up perfectly for a Ura-nage slam. Jericho elbows the side of Punk’s head to escape the move. Punk goes for another legsweep, but it’s stopped again with another stiff kick to the face. Punk makes the best out of the weak Y2J, putting him on his shoulders. Punk walks to the middle of the ring, setting up the Go 2 Sleep to end the match. Before Punk could initiate it, Jericho slipped out, bringing Punk down in a Victory Roll Pin attempt.

Well I think the most important thing is to not let the two people face each other in a one on one match to early. You should make the people want to see those two in a match. Number two is don't start the rivalry too hot. If you start with a cage match or a hell in a cell match right out of the block you'll have nowhere else to go for the rest of the feud.
Either start it off with a match or something shocking. Some examples from POI:
Chris Hero vs. Delirious: Started when Hero gave Delirious a concussion
POI vs. WWE: Nobody saw this coming. I was in the middle of the Joe vs. Punk vs. HHH feud when all the sudden WWE guys helped HHH win his match, then here comes Vince McMahon. Holy s**t, he's declaring war on POI. A good holy s**t moment always helps a feud.

Don't rush a feud. Drop small hints of it while the wrestlers that are going to participate in it are in other feuds, like putting them in tag team matches or in backstage promo segments.
Then, when they feud with each other, it will be a long time on the making and people would be wanting to see it
