Yeah... it is. You don't know how it works when you employ celebrities. Celebrities are role models. You can't have role models getting drunk in public.
That's fucking stupid.....like Charles Barkley said, they're not role models.....maybe if people didn't put celebrities on a pedestal....they wouldn't have to worry about their kids looking up to them more than they do their own parents.

I'm split on that argument. I always defend Miley Cyrus because it's not her responsibility to be a role model.

That said, she's her own performer. WWE hires these people regardless of whether they call them contractors.

Celebrities are just people who who do a different job....they're not politicians or priests.

Acting like they need to act like one is just projecting your own insecuriites of being a better role model for your own children and trying to shift the work to people who don't know you or your kids.

On this we actually agree.

Robert Downey Jr was held to this Jeff Hardy standard after spending an entire decade on cocaine and fucking up multiple jobs before Ironman....we wouldn't have what we have now in the MCU....because no one else could be Ironman....and no one else can be Jeff Hardy.

RDJ cleaned himself, though. Jeff just showed us he never will.

RDJ is also again not hired by a specific company that is held accountable for his actions.

Just individual movie sets he signs on to do a film.

This is where I disagree with you, though you've made some great points in this thread. I don't think this shows us that Jeff can never be clean, bc I mean if we're still going with the RDJ comparison, he was around Jeff's age when he finally got clean so I wouldn't say it's too late for Jeff at all.

How many times does a kid have to mess up before you go, yeah not waiting on him to get clean anymore?

I think when it comes to pro wrestling companies giving him a chance he's already fallen off the wagon at least a dozen times.

What the fuck does that mean? You can't force your kids to not like celebrities

He was fired from Ally McBeal after winning an Emmy

He was put on a bond by Disney
That proves my point then, because they did something. They didn't trust him to be clean and protected themselves.

Which is what I've been saying WWE needs to do here. Protect themselves.

You can teach them that heroes fall or don't think the person you see on TV are the same off it.....or better yet....do everything you can to be their role model.

In theory I agree with you, but kids are impressionable and so many kids look up to Hardy. They shouldn't, but they do.
