No one said obliged to do anything, but it's just not worth keeping around a repeater offender that will never get clean.

If this was TNA, you'd be lolTNAing to the grave if they swept this under the rug.

I never thought I'd see the day people would be defending Jeff Hardy's right to be a mess. :TI:

No....my gripe was putting him out there to still work.

Something this company won't do.

Firing an addict whilst the addict relapsing is just callous.

Jeff Hardy is always going to be addict so the idea he gets to be employed for life because of it is ludicrous.

That being said, I said before they should offer him rehab first and if he refuses to go he gets let go. That's his choice as it was in 2003.

I also don't see why WWE want to gamble on a guy every night on if he's sober enough to perform and then when he's not they have to scramble to find a replacement? That's just irresponsible. Jeff is responsible for cleaning himself up or he doesn't have to be employed.

What unprofessional behaviour has he displayed recently? It's on his own time.

He's in the news for being arrested while drunk. He's representing WWE.

The bigger problem here you still don't seem to understand is his track record shows this will continue to escalate into bigger problems for him and WWE if it's not addressed now. If I was any major promotion I'd have a zero tolerance policy with Jeff at all times with random drugs tests. Jeff is lucky that he could have just gotten by if he didn't get caught being drunk in public twice in a few weeks time. I'd have been all over his ass way before this. All WWE wanted from him was to keep his nose clean and stay out of the headlines. WWE's reputation right now is at an all-time low with all these lawsuits and documentaries on CTE and steroids and drug abuse. They don't need to be seen being lenient on a relapsing drug abuser.

We're not gonna get anywhere. If you really feel Jeff Hardy should be allowed to do whatever he wants with drugs and alcohol and as long as he doesn't bring it to work (and he will no doubt anyway) than we'll agree to disagree. I just know I wouldn't risk it.

I'll give someone the benefit of the doubt, not keep punishing them after they've already paid their price.

Which he has and doing something on your own time isn't being unprofessional.

We supposed to treat these guys like we high school coaches?

I think Jeff's been given the benefit of the doubt a few times and shat on it TBH.

That said, that's fine if that's how you feel. We'll see how WWE treats it.

I personally still feel WWE should just offer him rehab. It'll be his choice to take it or not.

If WWE doesn't let him go, at least give me one Antichrist run in the E. Please.

WWE are a company whose employees are global stars who are in the spotlight. If the employees are passing out drunk in public that's not a good reflection on the company.

Doesn't matter too much cause it's not like any wrestler has died young from alcohol and drugs... oh wait

It's also not up to the company to babysit their performers because they are adults.

Simple as that.

Yeah... it is. You don't know how it works when you employ celebrities. Celebrities are role models. You can't have role models getting drunk in public.

I used to think that when Angle and Orton were getting suspended for violating their wellness policy and I just wanted to see my favorites wrestle, but I do think once they make it public WWE gets public pressure to react.

That said, I've said most of my peace on this already.
