You can teach them that heroes fall or don't think the person you see on TV are the same off it.....or better yet....do everything you can to be their role model.

Stop being an idiot. Kids can idolize their parents and celebrities. I guess it's wrong when Tom Holland visits sick kids in hospitals and helps them feel better. Doesn't matter cause celebrities aren't role models apparently.

In theory I agree with you, but kids are impressionable and so many kids look up to Hardy. They shouldn't, but they do.
Then it's on parents to explain that hat you see on TV isn't what you'll see off screen, and that no one is infallible.

We shouldn't hold people to unreasonable standards because we as a collective society refuse to do the work our damn selves.

He never said celebrities weren't role models, he said they shouldn't be. A single celebrity can be a role model just like a single person from any profession should but but just bc they're famous doesn't mean they all should be.

I don't disagree with you on the role model thing. I don't.

The problem is media and public opinion disagree with us both. If Jeff Hardy were to hurt himself or someone else due to his demons AFTER it was made public knowledge he was having issues again, news outlets like CNN would crucify WWE. It's the world we live in now.

Yeah they should be. If you can make a sick kids life a little better because they idolize you I think that's amazing.

You're equating entirely different things and perverting my argument.

Visiting sick kids and fulfilling make a wishes isn't the fucking same as getting busted.

Admiring work isn't the same as holding people to a standard only a fictional character can reach either.

Your leaps to incoherent conclusions is honestly baffling

That's the celebrities' personal choice. No one should be held to a higher standard because they like to act or can sign.

Being expected to not do things adults are allowed to do is.

No adult is allowed to be drunk in public. That's why he was arrested.

That shows the type of person you are. Just because most people are idiots doesn't mean you should be an idiot. Get it?

Just means I don't go around judging people or stand on a soapbox projecting my moral values.

Get it?

Of course you don't.....you'll somehow find something stupid to take from that.

Yeah because the reason it's their personal choice is because they know that the kids idolize them so they CAN be the role model. If the kids didn't idolize them then the celebrity wouldn't visit them

Bruh... this was just about WWE as a company. I don't give a flying fuck what Jeff does. I'm 20 years old. If I'm 7 years old and WWE is still real to me and I see my idol being a drunk piece of shit, will i get upset? Yeah. WWE has little kids who look up to the wrestlers so the wrestlers should be kept in line. And passing out in public means youre a fuckin mess. There's a difference between going out and having a few drinks and passing out in public.
