1. So, the MVP streak ended on Friday....

I was expecting an 'bigger' ending with further storyline ramifications... Your thoughts?

2. Regardless of how good the storyline may be, do you, like me, think there's a certain degree of failed logic keeping Jeff away from the ring during his WWE-title reign when it's mainly his ring & physical work which got him to where he is now?

How do you think the Detroit and Chicago ROH shows will end up now after seeing a little of what they have already got planned for the shows?

Alex Shelley finally won the X-Division title a week ago at Genesis, what are your thoughts on this and who do you think he should feud with that would make for some good matches and possibly a good storyline too? (The obvious answer would be Chris Sabin but do you think there would be anyone else).

Royal Rumble is in about a week and I think you said you were going, although you weren't to happy about getting JBL Vs Cena are you still excited for the show and what do you think will be good at the Rumble? (Any card predictions or anything?)

Well, it is Smackdown, so their poor booking does NOT surprise me. I'd agree with you that there should have been a bigger or better ending than that. I thought the win to get a new contract would be "the one" But then i though maybe something simple like winning a battle royal for a US championship shot. I think a win in MITB could lead to good storylines, however i dont think they wanted to wait that long. I guess it will be interesting to see where they take it. This could end up really bad if the fans don't get behind MVP.

2. Regardless of how good the storyline may be, do you, like me, think there's a certain degree of failed logic keeping Jeff away from the ring during his WWE-title reign when it's mainly his ring & physical work which got him to where he is now?

Yes and No. I would agree Jeff Hardy should be in the ring more than other champs. However, i don't he needs to be in the ring every week. I wanna say the first few weeks after wining he wrestled big show, and vladimir (I believe) So he's been having matches, but with this car accident storyline, i think they've given him some time off. But in general, Yes someone like Hardy needs to be in the ring, and not so much on the microphone.

How do you think the Detroit and Chicago ROH shows will end up now after seeing a little of what they have already got planned for the shows?

3 good questions. 3 burning topics on my mind.

Well now you are starting to see the end of Gabe's ideas and the beginning of Pearce's booking with these shows. I caught Gabe's Book of ROH secrets, and he had pretty similar ideas for the remaining mathces in 2008 that Pearce did, with some tweaks.

As far as the Detroit show goes, I think it looks awful. I know the card isn't done yet, so there is still some hope. But look through all the shows on 2008, I would be surprised if Motorcity Madness 2009 is better on paper than 2 or 3 2008 shows. They need a big time match imo.

Chicago on the other hand has potential. It should be good. I'm not 100% sold on this Caged Collision match, however it should be a nice blowoff to the feud. What worries me about this show, is the cage match being main event. So that makes the championship matches seem less important. Nigel vs Aries is always top notch, so that will likely be a blockbuster. I would expect a so-so undercard. Matches like Steen / Claudio aren't something to get really excited about, but could be entertaining for the time they are out there.

Alex Shelley finally won the X-Division title a week ago at Genesis, what are your thoughts on this and who do you think he should feud with that would make for some good matches and possibly a good storyline too? (The obvious answer would be Chris Sabin but do you think there would be anyone else).

I would hold off on a Chris Sabin fued just yet. I'd put him in some quick mini fueds with Divari, Jimmy Rave, and Sonjay Dutt, just to get some quick W's under his belt. Then i'd have Homicide cash in his shot and begin a big feud between these two. Homicide doesn't like Shelly's cocky nature. Could spill into LAX/MCMG fued as well.

Royal Rumble is in about a week and I think you said you were going, although you weren't to happy about getting JBL Vs Cena are you still excited for the show and what do you think will be good at the Rumble? (Any card predictions or anything?)

AM i still excited??? Not really. Oddly enough i'm probably more excited for the EHHH ROH show. I'm not too big on the Royal Rumble lineup. I'd expect John Cena to beat JBL, most likely HBK will try and help JBL win, but backfire. I see Christian returning to help Edge defeat Jeff Hardy for the belt. I see Swagger retaining his ECW championship. As far as the Royal Rumble match goes....I'd say Randy Orton or HBK are going to win.

I think the Rumble match should be good as always. I would think Hardy/Edge would be a pretty good match too. Kinda surprised they havien't booked a hot fued on the card like HHH/Big Show or Regal/Punk yet. Seems like A TON of big names are just in the rumble ( Taker, HHH, HBK, Orton, Jericho, Big Show, and more) Even with those additions, it doesnt make the card that much stronger. But it should be a entertaining show.

How would you book TNA's matches going into the next PPV?

Well It's Against all odds and its not a really a Super PPV. But Here's what I'd go with.

( I Quit match)
Sting vs. AJ Styles

(hardcore rules)
Mick Foley vs Kurt Angle.

Legends Title
Booker T vs. Samoa Joe

X-Division
Alex Shelly vs Chris Sabin II

LAX vs. Scot Steiner/ Kevin Nash

Lethal/Creed vs. Beer Money

Matt Morgan vs. Abyss

What i would set up for at a big ppv like slammiversary is a MEM turning their backs on Sting and help Joe win the belt, as Joe becomes one of the main members of the Mafia. Then build Joe up as a mega heel champ, ultimately setting up for Joe vs AJ at BFG.

- If you could hire one person and one tag team from indie to come up to the Main Stream division who would it be? One single wrestler and one tag team.

- What are your thoughts on Swagger squashing Hardy for the title on ECW. Do you think its so Matt can get himself on Smackdown and get involved with Edge and hsi brother when Christian gets himself involed and we have Hardy vs. E C again.

- Whats next for Chavo Guerrero when he comes back from Suspension? I mean he has accomplished alot but with Neely out of the E'. There isn't much for him to do besides putting Talent over cause he isn't that young anymore and doesn't have much to offer? do you agree?

Depends which company. If i were WWE, I'd say Bryan Danielson (most likely) then if i were TNA i'd say Jack Evans. As far as tag teams go It would likely be the Briscoes for both. Although idk if the wwe would be interested iwth the briscoes with their style and injury problems.

- What are your thoughts on Swagger squashing Hardy for the title on ECW. Do you think its so Matt can get himself on Smackdown and get involved with Edge and hsi brother when Christian gets himself involed and we have Hardy vs. E C again.

Yeah, Matt pretty much did his job in ECW. Held the belt for a while, brought some star power. THen put over some young talent. I didnt see too much wrong with Hardy jobbing. I do think he will be moved to a bigger show soon. Mostly likely SD. Jeff Hardy will be getting double teamed and Matt will magically return to SD.

- Whats next for Chavo Guerrero when he comes back from Suspension? I mean he has accomplished alot but with Neely out of the E'. There isn't much for him to do besides putting Talent over cause he isn't that young anymore and doesn't have much to offer? do you agree?

I think he does have a lot of offer, he's just stale. He hasn't been booked poorly for a while now. I think a face turn is the next step. If he can turn on Vickie and Edge, I think he could be a mildly sucessful face. If you look at all around talent, I would think Chavo is probably top ten in the wwe, (all around) or close to top 10. Very underrated. They just have to start booking him better.

1. Seeing as you were there n'all that, it's a shame to see you didn't rate the Rumble that highly... What would you have done to improve the show?

2. As NWO approaches, how do you feel about the inclusion of 2 x EC matches again? ...Any ideas to improve the format of the PPV as a WM-builder?

3. You see any huge suprises on the horizon with regard to the WM card? ...Or do you think it's pretty much booking itself at this point?

4. Kinda tying in with the latter part of the above question, are you suprised as I am, how quickly the new match-up options brought about by the major shake up that was last years draft have been exhausted? (I mean, here we are 6 or 7 months later and already I'm seeing peeps looking forward to the 'imminent' draft?)

5. If the reports are true then the Y2J/Rourke match for WM has already been scrapped due to another 'fail' on the part of the celebrity involved...

As much as these celeb collabo's bring about a certain amount of mainstream attention for the event, do you think that maybe the risk isn't worth the reward (at least in terms of actually giving the celebs a match is concerned)?

Well, I wouldn't say i rated it all that bad, but it wasn't the greatest show by any means either. I first think you have to look at the booking of the show. Why have HBK vs. Cena TWICE on raw, and have JBL vs. Cena on the PPV??? I think that part hurt the show a little. I would have booked a triple threat or something. Then Edge vs. Hardy. I'd throw in a stipulation a few weeks before the match. I'd have Christian debut here, rather than Matt Hardy turn. Then since CM Punk got a nice push to the IC belt, i'd book him against Koffi Kingston or Ted Dibaise. With the idea behind it being the other guys were in front of regal for a shot (pissing regal off) Or you could just have Regal vs Punk again. I would put The Colons vs. Miz /Morrision on the ppv as well.

No problems with the rumble, i just would have had HBK be a focal point of that match. Him and Orton were the only legit threats to win imo. Plus WM is in HBK hometown. Unless HHH wins another rumble.

2. As NWO approaches, how do you feel about the inclusion of 2 x EC matches again? ...Any ideas to improve the format of the PPV as a WM-builder?

I hate two Elimination Chamber matches. I guess it makes the ppv a little more exciting, BUT its like a battle royal. One is good. two is kinda overkill.

I'd have 3 raw stars in the EC with three SD stars, and the winner gets a show at mania. With that being said, it would look something like this...

Jericho vs. HBK vs. Ted Diabise vs. HHH vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy

Idk if its me, but that match sounds insanely good to me. You got the Hardys fueding. You have the HBK/Jericho Rivialry. You got HBK/HHH as DX. You can run with the Jericho stephanie mcmahon angle with Jericho/HHH, THEN you got Dibiase protecting Randy Orton's spot against John Cena.

Then on teh show have:

Cena vs Rhodes.
Big Show vs. Undertaker
Shelton vs. Umaga
Vladimir vs. Khali
Punk vs. Regal
Randy Orton vs. Shane o mac

3. You see any huge suprises on the horizon with regard to the WM card? ...Or do you think it's pretty much booking itself at this point?

I think Christian will be the wild card. With him not helping Edge, I would assume he's heading to Raw almost for certain. So i would say, Look out Chris Jericho.

I wouldn't rule out HBK vs. Undertaker just yet either.

Well, i think a draft once a year is good. I think the last year with drug suspensions and injuries they were forced into some corners. I think SD has some intersting talent coming back. Theres been some good new talent coming in. Sure I think after WM a minor shakeup would be needed. I think its always going to be a topic of discussion. "So and so could be used better elsewhere"

5. If the reports are true then the Y2J/Rourke match for WM has already been scrapped due to another 'fail' on the part of the celebrity involved...

I think it is, I didnt think Rourke was a good idea, but for the most part its a good idea. You have use them right, but it gives wrestling a buzz. The wwe makes money hand over fist. They can afford to blow some money here and there on floyd mayweather on raw messing around, its going to be on sportscenter. If you have Jackass on there, its going to be on E!

Plus it creates moments. People remember one of a kind moments. Thats my opinion on them. I think the wwe utilizes their celebs very well.

Two follow-up Qs.

1. Your NWO card Pt. I - reopening the books on the Big Show/Taker feud? Surely not? Would love to know your thoughts.

2. Your NWO card Pt. II - Kozlov vs. Khali. I can already hear the pindrop audience to this match. *Paradox intended* Do you reckon it could pay off?

my question is high flying

do you think it's stupid/bad booking in having a wrestler that does high flying move but it connection to the other lower body and lower regions?

Imo i think it is.. for example if a wrestler did does a 360 some flipping unnessccey shit and it lands on the leg's...and he get's the 3 count..

how does that move hurt you upper body and shoulder region on which your shoulders can kick you out of the 3 count...

for this post you must realize i am drunk and i am not a fan of of the flip flopping high flying moves...(well i like some, i just don't like the stuff that isn't needed for a wrestling match, i.e. corkscrew 360 moonsault, it's not like it's going dish out more damage than a double high footed stomp to the ribs...

it may look cool but its something you don't really need.

Putting the belt on Edge. Do you think there's somebody else in SD that can actually carry the brand as he can?

A couple of questions...

1. Where are they going with this MVP/Shelton thing? I mean the reaction for MVP on Friday was...almost non-existent. And I can't see it getting much better next week. So are they going to take the title off Shelton or will it be like all of his other rivalries where he loses a couple of times and wins in the title match?
How long do you see this feud lasting?

2. With the way Nigel wrote off El Generico in the latest newswire, is there a chance Generico will take the belt tonight? I mean personally i'm a big fan of his but I was personally hoping for Roderick to get it...and if not Generico, is Lynn going to be next in line?

1. Your NWO card Pt. I - reopening the books on the Big Show/Taker feud? Surely not? Would love to know your thoughts.

Its no way out. It's not wrestlemania, don't get your panties in a bunch. Clearly looking at the undercard, its some semi-entertaining matches, but the show is mostly built around the main event. Why would i waste Taker in a big match before WM? I took 1 minute to come up with the card and didn't even look at the roster, clearly if i was actually booking the show i would put a little more time into it. If you notice, i forgot to put Edge and Jack Swagger on the show. Plus the Cena vs. Cody Rhodes match screams distaster, but again Its No way out.

2. Your NWO card Pt. II - Kozlov vs. Khali. I can already hear the pindrop audience to this match. *Paradox intended* Do you reckon it could pay off?

Apparently you didn't hear the pop at the Royal Rumble when these two went at it for a for a few seconds. Depends how the match is booked would decide if there was a payoff. I'd probably have Kozlov use some weapons on Khali and take him out for a few months, till after WM. Again, this was another match I wouldnt want at WM, so i put it on at NWO.

do you think it's stupid/bad booking in having a wrestler that does high flying move but it connection to the other lower body and lower regions?

Yeah, i does so. Better better than just touching his arm on a moonsault to the outside or something like that.

how does that move hurt you upper body and shoulder region on which your shoulders can kick you out of the 3 count...

Well, your shoulders are to power out, legs to kick out. But putting weight on the shoulders, it makes it harder to power out, but easier to kick out.

Putting the belt on Edge. Do you think there's somebody else in SD that can actually carry the brand as he can?

Had they booked MVP correctly since day 1, i think he carry the brand, in fact i believe he did in 2007. I do think think you got other guys that are just as good. I Hate to say this, but HHH. He's a big money draw. He may be squashing people left and right, but theres a reason for that. I think Jeff hardy has gotten over, can he carry as well as Edge, probably not, just due to the fact he's a face. Generally Heels are better champs. Again, if you booked Mr. Kennedy properly, he could carry the brand. The problem is Michael Hayes is a terrible booker :) If they brought back the Rated R superstar, I think it would be tough for anyone to match. But now Randy Orton has taken over the #1 heel spot in the wwe.

Any answers? (I realize you probably just didn't see. :))

And to add on to that a TNA question...Alex Shelley is the X-Division champ but that hasn't gotten much respect. (Homicide didn't even have his X briefcase on Impact~!) And MCMG are kind of in a weird face/heel position right now...So where do MCMG go from here?

I actually didn't see SD this week yet, probably later this week but i'm not really surprised to hear MVP didnt get much of a reaction. They turned him into a jobber. Its poor booking on the SD side, as i've said countless times. I wouldn't think MVP would get the title unless he's over as a face. They could fued till mania like you mentioned. I guess would be till mania. I want to see MVP get his swagger back and get a big win, then turn back heel on everyone. Silly to have him turn?? Not really imo cause he never really turned face they just made him be humble.

2. With the way Nigel wrote off El Generico in the latest newswire, is there a chance Generico will take the belt tonight? I mean personally i'm a big fan of his but I was personally hoping for Roderick to get it...and if not Generico, is Lynn going to be next in line?

I'd be VERY surprised in Generico won. He has a snowballs chance in hell. he should have won it at Age of Insanity if he were to. I'd say the main guys to beat Nigel at this point are Tyler Black and Brent Alrbight.

And to add on to that a TNA question...Alex Shelley is the X-Division champ but that hasn't gotten much respect. (Homicide didn't even have his X briefcase on Impact~!) And MCMG are kind of in a weird face/heel position right now...So where do MCMG go from here?

I kinda think so. They were doing great with the MEM/Frontline fued imo. Then had a great match at Genesis, but now what? Like you said. I don't know if they are goign heel/face or splitting but likely it won't make a lot of sense just now with the way Sabin won the belt. I would assume TNA will play that off like it never happened for a while.

Side note: MCMG were at the ROH show in Det. They were on the floor for a few minutes, then went backstage. (they are at most every ROH show in Det)
