WWE UK SHOWCASE IX

SSE ARENA | BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND

01/09/20
CARD CONFIRMED SO FAR
WWE UK WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP

JINNY (C) VS. RAQUEL LOURENCO

The first match confirmed for the 9th WWE UK Showcase will be a highly personal clash for the UK Women's Championship. The WWE UK Women's Champion Jinny and her opponent Raquel Lourenco have a lot of history with one another and a lot of bad blood. Lourenco of course won the recent UK Women's Rumble to earn this opportunity. However this bout is for a lot more than just the women's championship. This bout is also for respect and for Lourenco to prove to Jinny and the world her worth. Raquel of course has previously submitted Jinny in the elimination tag team match at the previous showcase but their history dates back a lot further with Lourenco at one stage a member of Jinny's House of Couture faction. Since that time however and under her own employ, Lourenco has flourished in singles competition especially now under her real name as opposed to the Killer Kelly moniker. Will Lourenco be able to dethrone the Fashionista? or will Jinny's reign continue?

WWE UK NEXT SHOW PREVIEW
TAG TEAM MATCH

ALEXANDER WOLFE AND KILLIAN DAIN VS. BOISTEROUS BEHAVIOR (LEON SLATER AND MAN LIKE DEREISS)

Also scheduled for this week will be tag team action as two of the WWE UK's brightest young prospects Leon Slater and Man Like Dereiss brand together to take on the highly dangerous pairing of Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. Since their return to the brand this highly volatile and dangerous pair have made their mark destroying opponents and assaulting Finn Balor. Will their run continue this week?
SINGLES MATCH

CARLOS ROMO VS. FRANCESCO AKIRA

A clash of young, talented European high flyers will take place on this week's show as Carlos Romo of Team White Wolf takes on Francesco Akira of the Foreign Legion. With these two factions at odds as of late, it will be interesting to see how Carlos Romo this week fares in singles action after his partner A-Kid walked out of the show last week and has yet to be heard from since. Will Romo be focused on the task at hand?
SINGLES MATCH

XIA BROOKSIDE VS. JESSI KAMEA

After making her successful debut in the ring this past week. "The Total Diva" Jessi Kamea will look to make it two in a row as she takes on the rising superstar Xia Brookside. While Kamea has yet to tell the world as to why she assaulted Kanji two weeks ago. There is no doubt she will be fully focused on the task at hand. Meanwhile in the case of Xia Brookside, it seemed last week she attracted the attention of the Wonderland Faction. Will Xia Brookside be able to hand Kamea her first loss?
SINGLES MATCH

HYAN VS. RACHEL ELLERING

Seemingly showing a new side to her personality in the last few weeks. Hyan this week will look to get back on the winning track as she faces the tough, powerhouse Rachel Ellering. Ellering of course seems to have taken issue with this bad attitude that Hyan has put on show. With Ellering looking to shut Hyan's mouth, will she be able to do so when this week the pair finally step into the ring?
TAG TEAM MATCH

CANDY FLOSS AND LAURA DI MATTEO VS. AUSTRALIAS HOTTEST COMMODITIES (INDI HARTWELL AND PERSIA PIROTTA)

More tag team action set for this week will see a heated grudge match as Candy Floss and her mentor Laura Di Matteo unite to take on the pair of Australia's Hottest Commodities. This pair of influencers have seemingly lately aligned themselves with the House of Couture which has put the duo of Candy Floss and Laura Di Matteo firmly in their crosshairs. What can be expected this week when these two teams collide.
SINGLES MATCH

MICHAEL OKU VS. DAVEY BLAZE

Another singles match this week will see the impressive young prospect Michael Oku look to build on his run of form as of late as he takes on Scotland's Davey Blaze. It is believe that the Scottish veteran Blaze has been called in for this match as a personal favor by Aaron Chalmers. With the pair recently befriending one another at a party based on their exploits on reality television in the UK.
SINGLES MATCH

RAQUEL LOURENCO VS. LINDSAY SNOW

Lastly this week we know that Raquel Lourenco will be in action. With a bounty placed firmly on her head we know this week Raquel will face a woman who recently arrived in NXT "The Kaiju" Lindsay Snow. A powerhouse with an MMA background, Snow is an enforcer of the highest order and seems to be someone hellbent on breaking Lourenco. Will Snow be the one to collect on the bounty laid down by the Fashionista?
ASHTON SMITH TO MAKE ANOUNCEMENT

Curiously during last week's show there was a backstage conversation between Anthony Ogogo and Ashton Smith. While the details of the conversation could not be picked up, it seemed that the winner of the WWE UK Rumble this year had an announcement he wanted to make possibly in regards to his victory and his title implications at this coming showcase. Now we know this week Ashton Smith will appear and discuss what is going on with the crowd in attendance.
GABRIEL KIDD TO APPEAR

Perhaps one of the most upsetting and dreadful acts we have seen just yet in the UK Brand was what transpired last week. This was when young prospect Gabriel Kidd betrayed and assaulted his mentor Doug Williams following Williams' loss to Commonwealth champion Kassius Ohno. Seemingly forming a relationship or partnership with Eddie Dennis, we know now that this week Gabriel Kidd and Eddie Dennis will appear on Session Moth's Beer Garden to explain just why Gabriel Kidd did what he did.

DARK MATCH: THEKLA VS. HELENA SIXT

62f9bde04cd753b117f1607aaea562a1a9efe254.gifv

Before the evening could officially begin we'd be treated to a pre show match which saw the debut of highly regarded Austrian Thekla. Opposing her in her debut would be Swedish Striker, Helena Sixt. This bout however would be a showcase for the Toxic Spider who true to her name never gave any space to her opponent once she had a hold of her. Following a short bout, Thekla picked up the win with a Death Trap Choke.
giphy.gif
Throne by Bring me the Horizon plays with a comprehensive video package highlighting last week's show. Starting out with the time limit draw between the Work Horsemen and Aussie Open, the video package then profiles moments such as Ilja Dragunov defeating Mike Kanellis before finally showing Gabriel Kidd's betrayal of Doug Williams. With that this week's show officially opens from inside the BT Sports Studio. Wade Barrett and John Gooden hype up tonight's show before they send us to the ring as we are set to hear from Ashton Smith.

Walking down to the ring Ashton Smith is met with a loud cheer from the crowd in attendance. High fiving several fans on his way down to the ring, once he is in the ring Ashton Smith is handed a microphone before he begins to address the crowd in attendance. The UK Rumble winner says that he met with Wade Barrett last week to discuss his Rumble victory and the prize it brings which of course is a championship match at the 9th UK Showcase! Talking about the WWE UK Champion Spike Trivet, Ashton Smith admits that he cannot hide his disgust for Spike or the fact that a man like that is currently the standard bearer for this brand as a whole. Admitting that he would love nothing more than to be the man to stop the Vulture. Ashton says that he has another opportunity which he cannot pass up.

Saying that he has always dreamed to succeed in Wrestling. Ashton Smith calls winning a championship the pinnacle of a career as it makes every sacrifice and bump in the road worth it. However there are certain times when what you want to achieve and what you must do don't align. This is why when Ashton Smith saw that the contract with his UK Rumble win guaranteed him a title shot, he noticed it never specified for what title exactly. This is where Ashton found himself with something to contemplate. As while he'd love nothing more than to silence Spike Trivet, he also has the chance to write a massive wrong which hasn't sit right with him for weeks now.

This is why during last week's meeting with Anthony Ogogo, Ashton elected to let his heart rule his head. Which is why at this coming showcase, Ashton Smith will not be challenging for the WWE United Kingdom Championship! Instead Ashton Smith will be challenging Gunther for the WWE European Championship. The stunned crowd cheers as Ashton Smith continues, Saying that this match is more than just a title match for him. Ashton says that he has the chance to avenge his friend and mentor Rampage Brown who Gunther brutalized. Calling this his chance to write this wrong and get redemption for his friend, Ashton Smith pledges that he will be the first man to defeat Gunther.
MATCH #1: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Katie Walker)

HYAN VS. RACHEL ELLERING

Opening the night in singles action would be a bit of a grudge match as Rachel Ellering battled Hyan. This would be a hard fought back and forth battle which continued to cement this new attitude on display from Hyan. While Ellering would have a noted power edge in this bout, it seemed that Hyan had very much adjusted her style with a lot more limb work to weaken Ellering. Thanks to the knee work by Hyan, Ellering's attempt at a press slam would be failed as her knee buckled and this allowed Hyan to score the win with a Busiaku knee strike!

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Hyan!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Hyan climbs to her feet. After having her arm raised in the air, Hyan rolls out of the ring and to the floor while the referee checks on Ellering.

Every Time we touch by Cascada plays as the latest edition of Session Moth's Beer Garden begins. Standing in the ring already with a beer in her hand is our host Session Moth Martina. As she begins to chug her beer with the crowd chanting along, Session Moth rolls out of the ring and begins to start a dance party with the fans in attendance. Once again Martina attempts to get Wade Barrett to join in the dance party sadly to no avail before she rolls back into the ring. Once she is in the ring, Martina reaches into her cooler for another drink before she welcomes the fans in attendance to her latest show. With that Martina albeit with some noted reluctance introduces her guests for this evening.

To loud boos from the crowd a suited up Eddie Dennis walks out from the back. Dennis looks especially smug this evening as he enters the ring. The usually warm and engaging Martina is noticeably withdrawn as she sits in her chair and very much keeps her words to a minimum. Taking the lead of this conversation, Eddie Dennis muses that he knows a lot of people are looking to villify him for what transpired last week. Saying that he had no idea of what was going to happen last week, Eddie Dennis says though that he is someone who has always loved a good surprise. Saying that he told Kidd nothing but the truth in that he would never get his while he was associated with Doug. Eddie Dennis says he is proud now to welcome the world to the man of the hour!

To more boos from the crowd Gabriel Kidd walks out from the back. Very much exhibiting the worst aspects of his personality notably the aggression and abusive nature, Gabriel mouths off at several fans on his way down to the ring before rolling under the ropes. Once he is in the ring, Gabriel is handed a microphone by Eddie Dennis. Saying that he is sick and tired of hearing people whine and cry about last week. Gabriel Kidd says that what he did last week wasn't a grand betrayal but instead a long time coming! Refusing to apologize for what he did, Gabriel Kidd says last week was just the beginning of his metamorphosis and that the world will see exactly who he is! Following on with this as the segment comes to a close, Eddie Dennis proclaims last week as the official dawning of the Selfish Generation!
~ DECREED ~

The cameras then direct us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. Here we see a bemused General manager standing by as standing before him is the WWE UK Champion Spike Trivet. The Champion is highly demanding as he wants to know with Ashton's announcement, who will he be defending his championship against at the upcoming Showcase. With Ogogo promising that he is going to arrange something for Spike, this doesn't sit well with Spike Trivet however. As Spike demands that Ogogo either let him select his own opponent or give him the rest of the time until the showcase off. Ogogo isn't standing for this and tells Spike that he will find Spike's opponent and now he wants Trivet to leave. Shaking his head in disgust, Spike then storms out of the office as Ogogo sighs.
MATCH #2: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Tate Mayfairs)

CARLOS ROMO W/MARIAH MAY VS. FRANCESCO AKIRA W/AMALE AND LUDWIG KAISER

Match two of the evening would be the latest in a line of clashes between Team White Wolf and the Foreign Legion. In this bout Carlos Romo would take on the newest member of the Foreign Legion Francesco Akira. This would be quite the fast paced contest with Akira proving himself to be quite the talented aerial artist as well as technician. His aerial abilities would be matched by his arrogance and vanity which very much rubbed the crowd the wrong way. In the end however Akira would pick up his first singles victory following the Brutta Faccia (Leg Lariat).

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Francesco Akira.

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Akira rises to his feet. While Akira is joined in the ring by Ludwig Kaiser, we see at ringside a concerned Mariah May begins to climb up on the apron. Before Mariah can get in the ring however she is blindsided by Amale. Amale sends Mariah crashing into the barricade while in the ring Kaiser hoists up Romo and plants him with a DDT. With that The Foreign Legion all stand tall in the ring as the crowd continues to rain down with boos.
~ RESPECT ~

Following this match, the cameras take us to the hallway of the building where Joanna Rose is standing by. The backstage interviewer is joined by the WWE UK Tag Team Champions Aussie Open. Here Joanna Rose looks to talk to the champions about their thoughts regarding their time limit draw the week previously. Albeit with some reluctance it was Mark Davis who would issue some respect to the pair of Asher Hale and JD Drake. Again showing a bit more of a harshness to himself however, Kyle Fletcher would state that Aussie Open is the best team in wrestling and they will prove it once again when they step in the ring with the Work Horsemen.
~ UNDOUBTED ~

images

Ahead of the next match, the cameras once again take us to the hall and it is Zack Gibson this time standing by. Despite his win last week, the fired up Gibson as always is in quite the sour mood. Saying that he is the WWE UK Brand's top star and he will cement his legacy. Zack Gibson is not happy that the world still seems to be focused on Cara Noir and not him. Calling the swan dead, Gibson then storms off down the hall. The camera meanwhile lingers and as it does it focuses on the mask of Cara Noir which is positioned on a production crate.
MATCH #3: TAG TEAM MATCH
(Referee: Darryl Sharma)

BOISTEROUS BEHAVIOR (LEON SLATER AND MAN LIKE DEREISS) VS. ALEXANDER WOLFE AND KILLIAN DAIN

The next bout of the night was a tag team match as we saw UK Performance Center trainees Leon Slater and Man Like Dereiss in action against Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. Similar to their last match since their return, this bout would be a vicious showcase for the pairing of Wolfe and Dain. In contrast to their last bout this time it would be Wolfe who kept the action out of the ring as he attacked Dereiss and trapped him in a camel clutch variation to force Dereiss to watch what was going on in the ring. In the ring we'd see Dain brutalize Leon with some clubbing blows before finishing Leon off with a Vader Bomb.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made but it's clear neither Wolfe or Dain are finished even with this win. Dain lands a running senton across the chest of Slater while Wolfe proceeds to stomp Dereiss face first into the floor. However the attack is cut short by the flicker of the lights and this clearly throws both men off their game as they stop their attack and rush to the back.
~ INCONSEQUENTIAL ~

Having been victorious earlier in the night, Hyan walks through the hallway of the building as she looks to leave the building. On her journey, Hyan sees just ahead of her Tegan Nox is walking into the building. Calling out to Tegan Nox, Hyan seems almost overjoyed to see Nox. Nox however does not seem impressed with Hyan as she says that she needs to see Anthony Ogogo soon for a meeting. Hyan asks what Nox's problem is and Nox counters that when she gave Hyan advice to not back down and keep pushing forward. She didn't mean in the way that Hyan has gone about it, after expressing her disappointment Tegan Nox walks off down the hall.
~ RETRIBUTION ~

Post Show footage is then shown from last week's show and it takes us to the trainer's room. Here Angelico is being treated by doctors when he turns to the camera. In quite an uncharacteristic display, Angelico shows a lot of anger and rage to the attack and assault he suffered. Making it clear that if you are going to take a run at him, then you had best finish the job. Angelico makes it clear that he is coming for Nathan Cruz.
MATCH #4: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Artemis Ortygie)

RAQUEL LOURENCO VS. LINDSAY SNOW

The next bout of the night would be in the women's division as Raquel Lourenco took on Lindsay Snow. With Snow looking to collect the bounty on Lourenco's head. This would be a hard hitting, no nonsense clash. Filled with plenty of hard strikes back and forth, it seemed that Lourenco very much had a fight on her hands. This would be until Lourenco ducked a clothesline and hit a big high angle back suplex on Snow. With a stunned Snow taking a knee, Lourenco followed with a superkick to the jaw which put Snow down for the three.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Raquel Lourenco!

The crowd cheers when the announcement is made and Raquel Lourenco rises to her feet. As Raquel gets her arm raised in the air, her celebration is cut short when she is spun around and headbutted by Sarah Logan. Logan stands over Raquel and barks in her face that she is coming for her!
~ RETALIATORY ~

More post show footage from last week is then shown and it focuses on Aaron Chalmers and Adam Maxted in the hallway celebrating Maxted's win. With various unnamed friends with him as part of his entourage, Chalmers is handed a bottle of champagne which he shakes up before spraying all over the hall. This brash display would soon be intercepted by the arrival of Michael Oku. With security and officials quick to also arrive on the scene in case anything transpires. Instead we just get a heated argument in which Michael Oku flat out accuses Chalmers and Maxted of being Z listers desperate for fame and are looking shamelessly bring wrestling down to their level. This is something Oku won't stand for and he makes it clear that he will stop this attempt to prostitute wrestling..
~ DISRUPTION ~

Ahead of our next contest, the cameras quickly take us to the locker room area. While Davey Blaze is in the process of warming up ahead of his contest tonight. The brash Aaron Chalmers vapes right into the camera before he talks about being a multi media sensation. Calling himself a multi platform superstar, Aaron Chalmers says that where he goes attention follows and that is what he is bringing to WWE UK along with his close friend Adam Maxted. Turning to Davey who Maxted says completely understands that any publicity is good publicity which is why he went on Take me out. Aaron Chalmers says tonight Michael Oku will see that he is simply not on the level to stand up for wrestling.
MATCH #5: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Sharpe)

JESSI KAMEA VS. XIA BROOKSIDE

In our next bout of the night it would be women's action once more as Xia Brookside took on the recently debuted Jessi Kamea. This bout while having back and forth moments would very much seem to be going Xia Brookside's way. As at every turn she seemed to gradually get the best of Kamea. As Xia looked to end things however with the Brookside Bomb, she'd be distracted by the presence of Isla Dawn. This distraction allowed Kamea to leap off the top rope with a spinning heel kick on Xia Brookside to pick up the upset!

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Jessi Kamea!

The crowd erupts into boos as the announcement is made. The brash Jessi Kamea rises to her feet and begins to primp herself ahead of getting her hand raised. While Kamea celebrates her win, Isla Dawn simply continues to stand at ringside and stare at Xia.
~ WARFARE ~

Quickly the cameras cut to the backstage area where a confrontation is taking place. Here we see security and officials on the scene as Ilja Dragunov is standing in the hallway across from the collective of The Throne. An angered Maria Kanellis makes it clear that last week was just a fluke and that Dragunov best stand out of the Throne's way. Backing Dragunov up soon is Joe Hendry, Adam Brooks, Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews. Before this powder keg can explode, a livid Anthony Ogogo shows up on the scene and he demands this stop now! Ordering security to escort everyone out of the building, Ogogo says that he will resolve this situation once and for all next week!
~ PENANCE ~

Having picked up another victory tonight, "The Total Diva" Jessi Kamea is just finishing having her make up done by one of the crew backstage. As Kamea admires herself in the mirror however she is stunned to see standing behind her is a fired up Kanji. Before Kamea can react Kanji pounces on Kamea with a series of punches and forearms. These strikes send Kamea and Kanji toppling over the make up table. Continuing her onslaught on Kamea, Kanji grabs a bunch of lipsticks and other make up which she smears over Kamea until security and officials arrive.
MATCH #6: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Hatch)

MICHAEL OKU VS. DAVEY BLAZE

The next bout of the evening would see Michael Oku look to continue his impressive run as of late as he took on Scotland's Davey Blaze. Despite Blaze's experience, this bout would very much act as a showcase for the technical ability of Michael Oku. As the match wore on we'd see Aaron Chalmers walking around the ringside area. Despite this distraction however, Oku managed to trap Blaze in a single leg crab for the submission!

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Michael Oku!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made. After having his arm raised Michael Oku leaves the ring and walks around the ringside area. Aaron Chalmers backs away from him as Oku stops before his girlfriend Amira. Just as Oku and Amira can share a celebration kiss, he is blindsided by Adam Maxted who came through the crowd. Hopping the rail, Maxted drives Oku into the barricade. Aaron Chalmers meanwhile rushes round the ringside area and looks to join in. Hoping to save her boyfriend, Amira climbs the barricade only to be held back by Maxted while Aaron Chalmers puts the boots to her boyfriend before her eyes. Security and officials arrive on the scene as Chalmers and Maxted make a swift exit through the crowd.
~ ANNOUNCEMENTS ~

2e380f9cef816eee1562df7083772e16.gif

Following her earlier appearance on making her way to the building. The cameras now focus on Tegan Nox as she leaves the Guvnor's office. Nox seems to be in relatively high spirits as she looks right into the camera and begins to speak to the crowd in attendance and watching at home. Saying that today she had a meeting with Anthony Ogogo regarding her future with the brand as she of course is still unable to compete for the women's championship. Tegan says that her and Anthony have spoken on some other opportunities for her and she has been granted a week to consider those options before announcing her decision next week.
~ ENRAGED ~

Just before the main event of tonight, the cameras once more direct us to the corridor where this time it is Simon Miller standing by with Kassius Ohno. The Commonwealth champion reveals that he has just arrived to the building having visited Doug Williams. Saying that physically Doug will recover in time but mentally and emotionally is a different story. Calling the wrestling business a harsh mistress which at times will test you. Ohno cannot hide his disgust at what Gabriel Kidd and Eddie Dennis did and promises he will make them pay for betraying his friend like that.
MAIN EVENT: TAG TEAM MATCH
(Senior Official: Thomas Scarborough)

LAURA DI MATTEO AND CANDY FLOSS VS. AUSTRALIA'S HOTTEST COMMODITIES (INDI HARTWELL AND PERSIA PIROTTA)

The Main event of the evening would be women's tag team action and this would be a grudge match from the fall out of the brawl during last week's show. This would be quite the hard hitting and back and forth contest with both teams at points really testing the leniency of referee Thomas Scarborough. As the match wore on we'd see Candy Floss put it all on the line with a big suicide dive on Persia Pirotta while in the ring Indi Hartwell found herself trapped by an armbar by Laura Di Matteo. Unfortunately the match is soon thrown out when Lana Austin and Nina Samuels quickly hit the ring and start putting the boots to Laura Di Matteo. This leads to the referee calling for the bell.

Shepherd: The winners of the match as a result of a disqualification Laura Di Matteo and Candy Floss.

The crowd erupts into boos as Nina Samuels and Lana Austin continue to stomp on Laura Di Matteo in the center of the ring. Rolling under the ropes and into the ring Candy Floss on rising to her feet is blasted with a big boot to the jaw by Indi Hartwell. Hartwell is soon joined by Persia Pirotta and this four on two beat down continues in the ring. Rushing out from the back is Santana Garrett who looks to even the odds for Candy Floss and Laura Di Matteo. Unfortunately while Santana Garrett was able to land a few strikes on The House of Couture and Australia's Hottest Commodities, a spear from Persia Pirotta soon grounded her and allowed Lana Austin to pounce on Garrett with a series of punches. This would be until a chair wielding Katarina Leigh rushed down to the ring. Quickly the House of Couture and Australia's Hottest Commodities would flee the ring as Katarina slid under the ropes with the chair. Standing in the ring Katarina would help Laura, Candy and Santana to their feet as the show would come to a close!

WWE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

GUNTHER (C) VS. ASHTON SMITH

The second match confirmed for this upcoming Showcase will be a European Championship match as the Champion Gunther takes on the winner of the Men's WWE UK Rumble Ashton Smith. Smith of course has elected to use his championship opportunity which he won with the Rumble victory to challenge for the European Championship as opposed to the UK Championship. However as we'd learn from Ashton Smith this was down to reasons a lot more closer to home. Since Gunther's arrival to the WWE UK Brand and his European championship victory, it seems that Gunther's in ring performances and dominance have been over shadowed by the injuries he has caused his opponents. So far Shelton Benjamin, Joseph Conners and Rampage Brown have all been casualties of the Ring General. It is the Brown one of course which truly has ruffled the feathers of Smith with him and Brown being former tag team partners and close friends. This is why Smith has elected to challenge Gunther, not only to become the next European Champion but also to avenge his friend. Will Ashton overcome the reign of the Ring General?

WWE UK NEXT SHOW PREVIEW
SINGLES MATCH

AMALE VS. MARIA DE LA ROSA

In singles action this coming week the Foreign Legion's Amale will be in action. The French standout is currently unbeaten since her arrival to the WWE UK brand and will look to keep that momentum here. Opposing her will be a young Spanish prospect from the WWE UK performance center by the name of Maria De La Rosa. Will Amale be able to keep up her impressive unbeaten run as of late? or will the young prospect pick up the upset?
TAG TEAM MATCH

AUSSIE OPEN VS. THE WORK HORSEMEN

A rematch from two weeks ago will also feature on this week's show. This match will of course be a non title clash as Aussie Open take on the The Work Horsemen. With this match personally being requested by the WWE UK Tag Team Champions Aussie Open. We know as per our general manager's orders that this tag team contest will have an extended thirty minute time limit. Will we finally get a conclusion to this saga between Aussie Open and the Work Horsemen?
SINGLES MATCH

PETE DUNNE VS. SUGE D

Former WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne will also be in action this coming week in a proving ground match as he takes on the recently arrived Suge D. The popular and charismatic veteran Suge D has so far not had much success in the WWE UK brand and is looking to pick up a big win here. Questions must be raised however about if Pete Dunne is fully focused on the task at hand? knowing that his former stablemates in the British Strong Style faction will be present in the building.
SINGLES MATCH

NATHAN CRUZ VS. CHARLES CROWLEY

The controversial, problematic talent that is Nathan Cruz is also set to compete this week as he takes on Charles Crowley. Cruz is to many seen as a talented competitor who constantly causes trouble and chaos around him thanks to a toxic relationship with Katherine Darcy. This pairing lately has proven especially bad for Angelico with a recent attack by Cruz sending Angelico down a flight of stairs. Now this week we know that Cruz will take on WWE UK pc trainee Charles Crowley in what the Showstealer is hoping will be his chance to reestablish himself to UK Fans.
SINGLES MATCH

RAQUEL LOURENCO VS. SARAH LOGAN

A grudge match is also in order for this coming week's show as Raquel Lourenco will take on the woman who assaulted her this previous show Sarah Logan. Logan like Lindsay Snow before her is the latest to attempt to collect the bounty which has been placed on Raquel's head by Jinny. Will Sarah Logan be the woman to collect on this bounty and put Raquel out of commission ahead of her championship match?
SINGLES MATCH

MICHAEL OKU VS. JERRY BAKEWELL

Following the vicious assault he suffered on this past week's show at the hands of Adam Maxted and Aaron Chalmers. The rising prospect won't have much time to rest or recover as this week he will be in action once more against a competitor brought in from Chalmers rolodex. This time it will be UK grappler Jerry Bakewell who has the claim to fame of appearing on Britain's Got Talent. Will Michael Oku be focused fully on the task at hand is the question?
SINGLES MATCH

KATARINA LEIGH VS. ELIZA ALEXANDER

Another singles match as of note this week will see the return of Katarina Leigh to the UK brand as she takes on UK Performance Center trainee Eliza Alexander. The former General manager Katarina Leigh has recently made her impression on her return to the brand having put in an impressive performance as part of the UK Rumble and since then she has proven a thorn in the side of The House of Couture and Australia's Hottest Commodities. Now this week we will see Katarina finally step into the ring for her first official singles match in years.
TEGAN NOX'S ANNOUNCEMENT

Having not only had a confrontation with Hyan this past week but also a private meeting with "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. We know that this week's show will feature an in ring announcement by Tegan Nox. The former women's champion of course sadly had her career hampered by Wade Barrett putting a clause in her contract that Nox would no longer be able to challenge for the women's championship. Since that time Nox has attempted to make her mark in other ways including entering the men's rumble. Now it's time to find out just what the future holds for the popular star.
ANTHONY OGOGO'S ADDRESS

Lastly we know this week that General Manager Anthony Ogogo will be making an appearance as he looks to address a recent matter which has caused him a lot of anger as of late. This of course being the ongoing saga between The Throne and the collective of Ilja Dragunov, Joe Hendry, Mark Andrews, Adam Brooks and Morgan Webster. We now know that on this week's show, Anthony Ogogo is said to be making a huge announcement in an attempt to bring this to an end once and for all.

DARK MATCH: PRINCESS KIARA VS. JAMIE HAYTER

jamie-hayter-entrance.gif

Before the show would officially begin we'd see a dark match as Jamie Hayter took on Princess Kiara. This match very much seemed as a potential tryout for Kiara as she took on one of the top UK performance center prospects Jamie Hayter. This would be quite the physical contest as despite Kiara's upper class character, she had little issue in mixing it up with Hayter at points. This would be until Hayter connected with the Hayterade clothesline for the victory!
giphy.gif
Throne by Bring me the Horizon plays with a comprehensive video package highlighting last week's show. This begins with clips of Ashton Smith expressing his intent to challenge Gunther for the WWE European Championship. From here we would see the chaotic end to the show as Katarina Leigh stood with Candy Floss, Laura Di Matteo and Santana Garrett to fight off Australia's Hottest Commodities and The House of Couture. With that this week's show would officially commence and our commentary team of Wade Barrett and John Gooden would hype up the show. From here they would send us to the ring where we are set to hear from Tegan Nox.

To a loud cheer from the crowd, Tegan Nox would enter the ring with a microphone in her hand. Once in the ring, the always gracious former WWE UK Women's champion would thank the crowd for their cheers and constant support of her despite her many struggles. However candidly Tegan admits that lately she found herself wondering if even with the fans behind her she could get back from this. Singling out Wade Barrett on commentary for making her life difficult, it must be noted on commentary despite the boos he receives Barrett is smug as he smirks proudly. Saying that she direly wants her championship back, Tegan says that it is because of Wade and that clause in her contract that she can no longer challenge for the women's championship which has put her WWE UK future into question. Admitting that with Anthony Ogogo's permission, Nox has actually had talks with some of the other NXT territories which is why she is here now to address her future as she has made a decision.

Before Nox can make her announcement however she is cut off by the arrival of WWE UK Champion Spike Trivet. The WWE UK Champion does not seem to be in a good mood as he walks down to the ring and swipes himself a microphone. Once in the ring, he glares directly at Tegan Nox when he says that enough is enough and he is putting his foot down. Accusing Tegan Nox of constantly trying to steal his spotlight and overshadow him. Spike Trivet declares that no one cares of Tegan Nox's little plight and sob story. Saying that she is not good enough to hold another title in WWE UK, Spike calls her little contract issue a blessing in disguise to save her from embarrassment. Coming out here now to correct everyone's priorities and put focus back on what it should be, Spike Trivet says it is time for the world to put their focus firmly back on Spike Trivet and his title reign!

Branding himself the ruler and sovereign lord of WWE UK. Spike Trivet says that it is time everyone begins treating him with the respect he deserves as such. This starts right now with Tegan Nox! Turning to Tegan Nox once more, Spike Trivet says that he wants not just an apology from her for failing to recognize her sovereign lord but also for this insubordination. This is why he is demanding that Tegan Nox kneel before her sovereign lord and proclaim him her ruler. Shaking her head as the crowd boos Trivet's comments. Tegan Nox makes it clear that she will not be doing that. In response to this Spike slaps the microphone out of Tegan's hand as he proclaims her a stupid little girl and that she needs to know her place. Nox in response to this fires off a punch to the jaw of Spike! The crowd cheers as Nox hits Spike a second time and begins to back him up onto the ropes. This is until Spike Trivet kicks out Tegan's surgically repaired knee. The crowd erupts into boos when before Tegan can climb to her feet, Spike blasts her with his title belt to the face. With Tegan laid out on the mat and some of the crowd tossing rubbish at him, a livid Trivet stands over Nox and holds his title in the air.
MATCH #1: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Tate Mayfairs)

KATARINA LEIGH VS. ELIZA ALEXANDER

Opening the show would be singles action as former general manager Katarina Leigh stepped into the ring against UK Performance Center prospect Eliza Alexander. This would be a hard hitting and physical clash as we'd see Alexander have little issue and no intimidation about taking on Katarina Leigh. Following a back and forth clash, Katarina Leigh managed to hoist Alexander up and drive her into the canvas with an Air Raid Crash for the victory.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Katarina Leigh!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made. While Katarina Leigh has her arm raised in victory, she is surprised to see walking out onto the stage are Australia's Hottest Commodities and the House of Couture. As this collective start to walk down to the ring, Katarina is joined in ring by Santana Garrett, Candy Floss and Laura Di Matteo. This trio having come through the crowd are backing up Katarina and with the sides even it seemed that both the HOC and AHC thought better of their plan as they made their way backstage.
~ CORDIALLY INVITED TO A PARTY ~

As she makes her arrival to the building this week, Xia Brookside during her walk through the parking lot is surprised and concerned to see "The Cheshire" Joseph Conners lurking in the shadows. Meanwhile standing along the rows of cars are both "The Knave" Jurn Simmons and "The Caterpillar" Teoman. Speeding up her pace, Xia Brookside finds herself met once more by "The White Rabbit" Jayde. Demanding to know what is going on here, Xia is surprised to see "The Red Queen" Isla Dawn walk out behind Jayde. Wanting to know why Xia refused to join her tea party when invited a couple of weeks previously, Isla told her that she had personally come today with all of her loyal subjects to bring Xia for that tea party!
~ LEGACY ~

A pre taped promo is then shown and it focuses on A-Kid. Having returned home to Spain since his last appearance on WWE UK television, A-Kid talks about returning home to find himself. Calling himself an outcast as a child for his intelligence. A-Kid says that he was bullied a lot until he learned to fight back. A-Kid says that what inspired him to fight was comics and the heroes printed in such. Calling those heroes his idols and inspirations, A-Kid says that on returning home and thinking about things clearly. He sees that over the past few weeks, he regressed into that bullied kid. So in order to escape that he looked at those heroes once more and saw who they was with a fresh set of eyes. Recognizing the traits of those heroes and what they stood for. A-Kid promises that he will return to WWE UK as a symbol like those heroes!
MATCH #2: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Darryl Sharma)

NATHAN CRUZ W/KATHERINE DARCY VS. CHARLES CROWLEY

The second bout of the night would see Nathan Cruz take on Charles Crowley. Clearly at the start of the match Nathan Cruz didn't hold his opponent in high regard. In fact throughout the contest which was primarily controlled by Cruz, he'd keep his eyes locked on his girlfriend Katherine Darcy. This would be until Angelico hopped the rail and walked around the ringside area. A livid Cruz watched on in the ring as Angelico started talking to Darcy. Darcy attempted to slap Angelico who blocked it while Cruz started to leave the ring. However as he took his attention fully off the match, he'd be spun around and planted with Crowley's Carousel which was enough for Charles to take the pin!

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Charles Crowley!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made. While an overjoyed Crowley begins to celebrate this upset and starts dancing in the ring, we see at ringside a smirking Angelico start to back his way up the ramp while Katherine Darcy looks on in disbelief.

With Cascada's Everytime we Touch playing, it was now time for the latest edition of the Beer Garden. As always our host for the evening Session Moth Martina appeared to be a few drinks into things. With a new can in her hand, Martina started things out running round the ringside area dancing with several fans in attendance as well as once again attempting to get Wade Barrett to dance with her. From here Martina rolled into the ring before she'd welcome everyone to her Beer Garden. Once she's sat down on one of the benches, Martina takes a long swig of her beer as she says she is preparing herself spiritually, emotionally and everything else before she introduces her guest for the evening.

The crowd in attendance erupts into boos as Zack Gibson joins Martina in the Beer Garden for this evenings show. Gibson as per his usual demeanor, does not appear to be happy or pleased with this situation. Ignoring Session Moth's offer for a drink, Gibson only seems to take note of Martina when she asks him why he seems so grouchy. In response to this, the livid Gibson calls this show a joke and a waste of his time. Saying he is here to be taken seriously and not be made a joke of, Gibson considers this show beneath him and wants no part of the shenanigans. Nodding her head, Martina takes another drink as she then says is that the real reason as to why Zack Gibson attacked Cara Noir.

Calling Cara Noir pathetic and someone beneath him. Gibson says that he attacked Noir so he understood his place on the food chain around this place. Saying that he and he alone is the future of WWE UK and not someone who dresses up like a fool like Cara Noir, Gibson stops mid speech as he looks into the crowd and sees various people wearing Cara Noir glittered masks. Leaving the ring in a huff, Gibson walks around the ringside area and one by one he stops before several fans in the masks and removes the masks while berating and insulting those fans. Hopping the rail, Gibson approaches one last fan and tries to remove his mask but the fan holds on until Gibson forcibly pulls the mask off of the fan.

While Gibson has his back turned to this particular fan, he continues to blast the crowd in attendance as pathetic and loses when this fan looks up and reveals himself to be Cara Noir! The crowd in attendance cheers as Noir stares down the back of Gibson's head. Gibson seems confused regarding the reaction when slowly he turns to see a sneering Noir. A big series of punches from Noir follow sending Gibson tumbling over the rail and back around the ringside area. Noir is in hot pursuit as the fight enters the ring. Following a swan woo dropkick which knocks Gibson over one of the Beer Garden benches, Noir motions to Martina for her can of beer which she hands him and Noir follows by drilling Gibson to the top of his head. With Gibson stunned, Noir then drives him into the mat with a brainbuster while Session Moth Martina wraps up her show.
~ NOT AFRAID ~

Post show footage from last week is then shown and it focuses on Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain making their exit from the building. This duo while being victorious that night seem far from happy as they address the cameraman directly. Claiming to be unimpressed with the chicanery and mind games that Finn Balor want to play. This pair dares him to come for them, before they can finish talking however the lights in the parking lot begin to flicker. This freaks out Wolfe and Dain and the pair are quick to make their escape from the building.
MATCH #3: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Artemis Ortygie)

AMALE VS. MARIA DE LA ROSA

The third match of the night would be in the women's division. As we'd see the Foreign Legion's Amale take on UK performance center standout Maria De La Rosa. This bout would be very much a showcase performance for Amale, who controlled this contest for most part despite Maria having quite a spirited showing at points. In the end however Amale was able to pick up a definitive victory after landing the Hope Breaker on her opponent.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Amale!

The crowd boos as Amale rises to her feet. As Amale gets her arm raised in the air we see at ringside both Ludwig Kaiser and Francesco Akira applaud Amale on her efforts.
~ DECREED ~

The cameras then direct us to the hallway of the building where Jinny is standing by with both the Australia's Hottest Commodities and the House of Couture. Jinny does not seem pleased with the quartet for their handling of business earlier in the evening. Demanding this group get this matter sorted once and for all, Jinny midway through her speech stops and summons Eliza Alexander who was walking past them. Telling Eliza that she has potential, Jinny tells her that she can reach that potential quickly if she is willing to do something about it!
~ WARFARE ~

The cameras then direct us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. The Guvnor reveals he has requested this time right now to address the repeated clashes and violence between The Thorne and this collective of Ilja Dragunov, Joe Hendry, Adam Brooks, Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews. Calling himself sick of these repeated clashes going on week by week, Anthony has decided at the upcoming Showcase these two factions will settle things once and for all in WAR GAMES!
~ WARNING ~

Footage from earlier this evening is then shown as security and officials rushed on the scene during a confrontation between Kassius Ohno and the Selfish Generation. Kassius Ohno is quick to warn Gabriel Kidd that while he wants a piece of him, that he knows Doug Williams wants a piece of him first. However while he can't get his hands on Gabriel Kidd at the moment, he calls Eddie Dennis open season and warns Eddie that he is coming for him!
MATCH #4: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Katie Walker)

MICHAEL OKU VS. JERRY BAKEWELL

Continuing his battles with Aaron Chalmers' wave of wrestling celebrities. Michael Oku this week would find himself matched up with masked competitor Jerry Bakewell. Despite his goofy appearance, Bakewell showed himself to be a crafty competitor in the early going as he baited Oku with a handshake before hitting him with a throat thrust. While the match progressed Aaron Chalmers and Adam Maxted were shown watching the bout from the crowd. After a few minutes however Oku clamped on a single leg crab on Bakewell for the win.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Michael Oku!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Michael Oku begins to celebrate his win. After having his arm raised in the air, Oku waves for Maxted and Chalmers to come into the ring. Neither man accepts this challenge however while Oku continues daring them.
~ FOR THE RECORD ~

Filmed earlier this week is a press conference like setting with both Gunther and Ashton Smith sat on a stage with many sports journalists gathered. Also present for this would be Gunther's associate Nigel McGuinness. As these two men would discuss their upcoming European Championship match, the champion Gunther would very much dismiss Ashton at every turn. Proclaiming he will enter unbeaten and leave the very same way. Smith meanwhile would say that he is here to keep on upsetting the odds as he always has. As this press conference wrapped up it would be Nigel who revealed that next week we would see a weigh in between the champion and his contender.
~ SHADOWS ~

The cameras then cut backstage to where Hyan was standing by. Having picked up another victory as part of the UK Brand, Hyan continues to deride those who criticize her for her so called new attitude. Branding this the real her and her real choices, Hyan looks to continue outlining her future when she is confronted by Amber Nova. In a similar vain to her confrontation with Rachel Ellering previously, Hyan very much makes it clear that she is more than happy to see Amber in the ring after Nova voiced concern with her attitude. With no hesitation Nova makes it clear that she will happily see Hyan next week!
~ NO RETREAT ~

Before we can return to the ring for the next contest, the cameras take us to the locker room area where Kanji is standing by. Kanji is fired up as she addresses her attack on Jessi Kamea last week. Calling it a case of fighting fire with fire, Kanji makes it clear that she is not out here looking for trouble. But then follows by saying that Kamea has badly misread her if she thinks that Kanji is going to let her walk all over her.
MATCH #5: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Hatch)

RAQUEL LOURENCO VS. SARAH LOGAN

Facing off this week with one of the women who has been looking to collect the bounty on her head. Raquel Lourenco would find herself taking on the tough, gritty Sarah Logan. This would be a very physical contest as Logan very much seemed willing to trade strike for Strike with Raquel. This included actually picking up a near fall on Lourenco following a nasty headbutt. In the end however, Logan would find herself trapped in the killer clutch by Lourenco which forced the submission.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Raquel Lourenco!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made. Rising to her feet in the ring, Raquel quickly rises to her feet while Jinny stands at the top of the ramp. Quickly as if almost on cue Eliza Alexander rushes down to the ring. as She rushes down however, Raquel is waiting for her and meets her with a bicycle knee. This puts Eliza down and quickly we see also rushing down to the ring are NXT prospects Tesha Price, Madi Wrenkowski and Alex Gracia. Despite this numbers game Raquel waves the trio on and meets Gracia as she climbs on the apron with a big superkick. Wrenkowski on entering the ring is thrown across the mat with an exploder suplex. Tesha Price meanwhile manages to land a few punches until Lourenco knocks her out with a spinning back elbow. A livid Jinny is watching on from the ramp while Lourenco waves her on. Slowly Jinny starts to walk down the ramp before she smirks. It is here the cameras pan and we see Eliza Alexander now wielding a chair as she blasts Raquel to the back of her knee. Lourenco hits the canvas in a heap and Alexander proceeds to hit her across the knee until security and officials rush down to the ring.
~ PAYBACK ~

From here the cameras cut backstage and we see a livid Maria Kanellis walking out the building. On the phone, Maria appears to be talking to her husband as she is irate regarding the war games announcement. Maria however is surprised as she nears her car to find Session Moth Martina waiting for her. Maria looks to berate Martina once more when Martina instead throws beer in her face. As Maria takes a step back to recollect herself, Martina this time fires off a slap of her own to Maria before telling her that they are even!
~ ARRIVAL ~

Right ahead of the next match, the cameras quickly take us to the parking lot of the arena. Here we see British Strong Style making their arrival to the building. Stepping out from the vehicle a fired up Tyler Bate looks to rush forward when Trent Seven puts his hand on his shoulder to stop him. Despite Bate pulling away in anger, Seven says he understands that Bate wants revenge but what Seven wants is for them to be smarter about this!
MATCH #6: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Sharpe)

SUGE D VS. PETE DUNNE

Former WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne wrestled Suge D in what was a proving ground match for the veteran talent Suge D. A born showman and entertainer, Suge D very much had the crowd behind him despite facing such a respected opponent. Thanks to his athleticism and his unorthodox offense, Suge D would have his moments before Dunne uncorked a big forearm smash to the jaw of Suge D. From here Dunne put his opponent away with the Bitter End.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Pete Dunne!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Pete Dunne climbs to his feet. As Dunne gets his arm raised however we see Trent Seven walking out from the back. The smug Seven walks down to the ring before climbing up on the apron. From here he can be heard offering Dunne a chance to go their own ways however Dunne shakes his head on hearing this. With that Dunne is blindsided by Tyler Bate. Seven continues to look on while he can be heard shouting at Bate that this is too soon. Dunne soon fires back on Tyler and hits him with a forearm when Millie McKenzie enters the ring. Millie squares up to her former mentor and this distraction allows Trent to low blow Dunne. Pete Dunne falls to his knees and Seven begins barking orders for Millie to lift up Dunne. As Millie follows these commands Tyler Bate also pulls himself to his feet. Bate does not look happy as Seven has Millie hit the ropes before running off with a spear on Dunne. From here Bate confronts Seven about why he didn't help him and Seven can be heard responding that he didn't follow the plan before the trio leave the ring and head backstage.
~ ANNOUNCEMENTS ~

The cameras once again return us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. The general manager of WWE UK, is quick to announce that ahead of the 9th UK Showcase. That WWE UK will have a special event entitled Prelude. This event which will take place in three weeks time and it is right now that Ogogo would like to announce some special matches for Prelude. The matches Ogogo would like to confirm for this event include Doug Williams vs. Gabriel Kidd, Kassius Ohno vs. Eddie Dennis, Angelico vs. Nathan Cruz and in an 8 woman tag team match the House of Couture will team with Australia's Hottest Commodities to battle Santana Garrett, Katarina Leigh, Candy Floss and Laura Di Matteo.
~ IRREDEEMABLE ~

Right ahead of the main event of the evening, the cameras catch WWE UK Champion Spike Trivet on his way out of the building. Simon Miller tries to talk with Spike about what transpired earlier in the evening. Despite his attempts to remain professional even Miller cannot remain impartial regarding Trivet's despicable acts. Trivet however makes it clear that he has no remorse for what he did to that pathetic girl and offers no apology. With that Trivet climbs in the back of his limousine before leaving the show!
MAIN EVENT: NON TITLE TAG TEAM MATCH
(Senor Official: Thomas Scarborough)

AUSSIE OPEN (KYLE FLETCHER AND MARK DAVIS) VS. THE WORK HORSEMEN (ASHER HALE AND JD DRAKE)

It was now time for the main event of the evening and this of course was a tag team rematch from a couple of weeks ago as Aussie Open battled the Work Horsemen. Similar to their first match this would prove to be a very even, back and forth battle. Filled with numerous high spots and impressive double team moves, this match would go near on twenty five minutes when in a stark contrast from their time limit draw last time. In this bout we'd get a definitive victory as an attempt at Coriolis would be blocked by Asher Hale who managed to roll up Kyle Fletcher while JD Drake knocked Davis out of the ring with a dropkick.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match The Work Horsemen!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made. While Asher Hale takes a knee in the ring, he is quickly snatched to his feet and hugged by JD Drake. While the pair continue to celebrate their win Mark Davis rolls into the ring while an angered Kyle Fletcher is seated in the corner. As the tag team champions pull themselves to their feet Asher Hale and JD Drake approach them before offering a handshake to the pair. Both Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis appear conflicted with this but with much reluctance we see Mark Davis accept this offer. While Davis shakes both men's hands however, Kyle Fletcher storms out of the ring and heads backstage as the show comes to a close

WAR GAMES

THE THRONE (ANTHONY NESE, BO DALLAS, CURTIS AXEL, MATT TAVEN AND MIKE KANELLIS) VS. ADAM BROOKS, ILJA DRAGUNOV, JOE HENDRY, MARK ANDREWS AND MORGAN WEBSTER

The third match confirmed for this ninth showcase will be historic as for the very first time since the WWE UK Brand's inception, we will see our very first WAR GAMES match! This ten man contest will see The Throne take on the collective of Adam Brooks, Ilja Dragunov, Joe Hendry, Mark Andrews and Morgan Webster. This match has come about due to the often controversial tactics and methods employed by the 2020 king of the ring Mike Kanellis. Often using outside interference from his allies in his faction known as the Throne, Kanellis has found himself with quite a few enemies. Starting out with Morgan Webster who he assaulted backstage at Showcase Syndey, before alienating the likes of Adam Brooks and Mark Andrews. Kanellis' aim as of late however has been to humble Joe Hendry and make him his jester following a series of custom songs that Hendry has used to serenade the King of the ring, his wife and subjects. But it is through his targeting of Hendry that Joe has come together with Brooks, Webster and Andrews while his close friend Ilja Dragunov has also come to stand against the Throne alongside them. This has led to numerous backstage and arena wide brawls with both teams especially since Kanellis has bought in his right hand man Matt Taven. Will this Showcase finally see the Throne crumble?

WWE UK PRELUDE
31/8/20
SINGLES MATCH

DOUG WILLIAMS VS. GABRIEL KIDD

A heated grudge match has been confirmed for WWE UK Prelude as Gabriel Kidd will take on Doug Williams. This will be a clash been a former pupil and his mentor as Doug Williams looks to gain some revenge and retribution against his protege. Kidd of course while previously showing a lot of issues with his anger and temper, shocked the WWE UK fan base with a recent assault on Doug Williams. Despite being rumored to have suffered some apparent injuries from this attack, we know that Doug Williams has personally requested this bout in an effort to teach his former protege a lesson. The question is, just what condition is Doug Williams in for this match?
COMMONWEALTH CHAMPIONSHIP

KASSIUS OHNO (C) VS. EDDIE DENNIS

The Commonwealth championship will also be on the line as Kassius Ohno takes on the other member of the Selfish Generation Eddie Dennis. Since his arrival to the WWE UK Brand, Eddie Dennis has established himself as a noted problem causer and disturber. One person who seems to have taken note and drunk the kool aid is Gabriel Kidd which led him to attacking Doug Williams. This did not sit well with Kassius Ohno who declared that while he was happy to leave Gabriel Kidd to suffer the wrath of Williams. He was more than happy and ready to punish Eddie Dennis. Which has led to this match being announced for Prelude.
SINGLES MATCH

ANGELICO VS. NATHAN CRUZ

Another heated grudge match announced for Prelude will see Angelico take on Nathan Cruz. Two of the WWE UK's fastest rising stars, will collide in this bout which very much has come together over a woman. This woman in question being Nathan Cruz's girlfriend Katherine Darcy who has clearly enjoyed riling up her boyfriend's possessive nature. On a recent episode of WWE UK, Nathan Cruz because of this provocation launched into a nasty attack on the ladies man Angelico. Which has led to Angelico responding by costing him a match. Now this feuding pair will have a chance to settle their differences at Prelude!
8 WOMAN TAG TEAM MATCH

AUSTRALIA'S HOTTEST COMMODITIES (INDI HARTWELL AND PERSIA PIROTTA) AND HOUSE OF COUTURE (LANA AUSTIN AND NINA SAMUELS) VS. CANDY FLOSS, KATARINA LEIGH, LAURA DI MATTEO AND SANTANA GARRETT

A eight woman tag team match has also been confirmed for Prelude based on a series of wild brawls that have taken place in the run up to Prelude. On one side of the equation will be the alliance formed between Australia's Hottest Commodities and The House of Couture. While opposing them will be the quartet of Candy Floss, Laura Di Matteo, Santana Garrett and former general manager Katarina Leigh. In a bit of an extra exclusive as per WWE.COM. We now know that this bout will not just be an elimination tag team match but will also be contested under street fight rules. Which team will remain standing at Prelude?
SINGLES MATCH

KANJI VS. JESSI KAMEA

One last match confirmed as per WWE.COM will be a grudge match between Kanji and Jessi Kamea. A plucky figure who graduated from just a fan behind the rail to a wrestler. Kanji has steadily become one of WWE UK's most popular stars. Yet it seems her popularity has put her in the crosshairs of "The Total Diva". An NXT star who has come over to WWE UK to prove her worth. The vain and arrogant Kamea seems to have set her sights firmly on Kanji with a recent attack. Of course not one to back down, Kanji would respond with an assault of her own on Kamea which has led to this match being arranged for Prelude.

lizzy-evo-eliza-alexander-interview-1-1.png
Following this latest episode of WWE UK. We can confirm today that the segments involving Jinny and WWE UK Performance Center prospect Eliza Alexander were designed to act as a loose call up for Eliza. It is said that Eliza Alexander made a lot of fans backstage with her showings in the run up to the Women's Rumble. This as we know very much pushed forward a lot of plans for a future call up for Alexander who was already seen as a standout in the UK Performance Center. It is rumored that there will be another call up in a similar fashion following the Showcase for another woman from the Performance Center also.
Entrance+5.gif
An update has also been provided on a few more WWE stars potentially heading to WWE UK for excursion. This of course would not be the first time WWE has done something like this with the likes of The Iconics, Aliyah, Vanessa Borne, EC3, Mike Kanellis, Anthony Nese, Bo Dallas, Eric Young, Curtis Axel and Shelton Benjamin all coming over for periods of time. We can no confirm that Zack Ryder is said to have personally requested and pushed for an opportunity to do so having seen the success the likes of Kanellis and others have had. Along with Ryder another name we know to have requested this opportunity is Curt Hawkins while a few other wrestlers both male and female are said to have had talks regarding a potential excursion.
DSpPmw9VoAAPXR1.jpg
In some exciting news, a new signing has also been confirmed today. As it has been revealed that Puerto Rico's Vanilla Vargas has signed with the WWE and will be reporting soon to the WWE UK Performance Center. While some may have expected Vargas to head to NXT Mexico, it is believed that Vargas personally requested a chance to broaden her horizons and further her progression by working in a different country before a crowd unfamiliar with her. Vanilla Vargas is seen as a big get for WWE UK and is expected to be a future feature player.
NEXT SHOW PREVIEW
WAR GAMES ADVANTAGE MATCH

BO DALLAS AND CURTIS AXEL VS. MARK ANDREWS AND MORGAN WEBSTER

Designed to be the first of several War Games advantage matches between the two teams set to do battle in War Games. We know that this week's upcoming show will see the high flying and talented pair of Mark Andrews and Morgan Webster fight against Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. This will be a tough test for the Welsh Dragons pairing as Dallas and Axel while being enforcers for the Throne are actually former WWE Tag Team Champions in their own right. Which team will reign supreme and earn points on the board for War Games?
WAR GAMES ADVANTAGE MATCH

MATT TAVEN VS. ADAM BROOKS

The second War Games Advantage match this week will also see Matt Taven take on rising high flyer and daredevil Adam Brooks. Brooks of course is a popular member of the WWE UK roster thanks to his spirited showings and never say die attitude. This week however he has a tough task ahead of him as fans will see the much anticipated in ring debut of The Throne's Matt Taven. Described by some as perhaps the toughest match up in the Throne, there is a lot of anticipation and hype for Taven's debut. Will he live up to the high billing?
SINGLES MATCH

HYAN VS. AMBER NOVA

A singles match will also take place this coming week as Hyan will take on Amber Nova. This bout of course has come about with Nova actually challenging Hyan to a match having grown sick of her attitude as of late. This has been a frequent complaint and issue raised as of late by many regarding this new side of Hyan. Shown to have developed a by any means approach to her matches and a new found aggression and viciousness, this new way employed by Hyan has seen her be quite successful as part of the WWE UK Brand. Will it continue here?
SINGLES MATCH

EDDIE DENNIS VS. GENE MUNNY

Also set for in ring competition this week will be a member of the Selfish Generation as Eddie Dennis takes on Gene Munny. Dennis of course has been out of the ring for a while now citing 'injuries' but this hasn't stopped him from stirring up trouble backstage with his antics. With an upcoming match for the Commonwealth Championship, Dennis will return to the ring this week against Gene Munny, an unsigned competitor who recently lost to Spike Trivet in a WWE UK Championship defense.
SINGLES MATCH

ELIZA ALEXANDER VS. SARA LEON

Last week we'd see a seemingly new alliance form as Eliza Alexander spurred on by Jinny launched into a vicious assault on Raquel Lourenco. This week fans will see "The one woman army" in action as she takes on UK Performance center trainee Sara Leon. Whether this alignment with Jinny was a one off or something to watch for in the future. You can be rest assured that this week Eliza will be looking to leave with a win.
SINGLES MATCH

CARA NOIR VS. KIP SABIAN

Having returned on the last show to attack Zack Gibson in retaliation for an assault the Grizzled young veteran inflicted on him a few weeks ago. Cara Noir will be in action this week against a man who knows Zack Gibson very well in his former tag team partner and stablemate Kip Sabian. Will Cara Noir be able to continue his unbeaten record so far in the UK brand against arguably his toughest challenge yet?
SIX PERSON TAG TEAM MATCH

BRITISH STRONG STYLE (MILLIE MCKENZIE, TRENT SEVEN AND TYLER BATE) VS. NORTH WEST STRONG (ETHAN ALLEN, LUKE JACOBS AND RHIO)

Six person tag team action is also in place for this coming week as British Strong Style will team up to face a group of young prospects known as North West Strong. This tag match said to have been personally requested by Trent Seven as it seems lately that the faction isn't quite on the same page especially in the case of Seven and Bate who seem to very much not be on the same page as of late. Will they be able to put their differences aside here?
WEIGH IN

Also scheduled this week to close the show will be a in ring weigh in. This weigh in of course will be a follow on from last week's press conference between Ashton Smith and the WWE European Champion Gunther. With Ashton Smith harboring some resentment for the champion which has only intensified by the champion dismissing him. What will transpire with the pair when they share a ring together for the first time?
BEER GARDEN WITH MICHAEL OKU

Session Moth Martina will once again be present for another edition of her interview show the Beer Garden. The always chaotic but equally entertaining show will have Martina joined by Michael Oku this coming week. Oku of course has been unbeaten since his appearance in the European title tournament but has lately come into conflict with reality stars Aaron Chalmers and Adam Maxted. It is believed this week, Oku will discuss this matter and address the reality tv personalities.

WWE UK - August 10, 2020:

I continue to really enjoy the layout of this project. I'm not normally a fan of GIFs and YouTube videos, believing hyperlinks to be far more effective. It does if anything break up the paragraphs and provide greater exposition to the characters you are presenting.

We don't really see enough man-and-woman chemistry onscreen, other than when there's romance involved. I'm not sold on Spike Trivet as a top-tier star, but his segment with Tegan Nox was pretty striking in how you pulled it off. Not a fan of the intergender physicality for a WWE product in 2020, but it's clear you've brought the company to an alternative plain seven pages deep into this.

I think A-Kid actually had far more potential without the Axiom gimmick. He's done very well for himself, that said, but I enjoyed seeing his look before adopting the mathematic luchador persona. I think he was missing something, so it's good to see you introduce some more depth to him this early in his tenure.

Using Zack Gibson as a singles is a bold choice. I do think he has the character to pull it off, though it is a shame James Drake is nowhere to be seen. The Scouser representation in wrestling is severely lacking, if not for him.

I'm happy to see Michael Oku get some shine, and the name Jerry Bakewell never fails to amuse me. This roster is so big that I fail to get excited about some names you've featured, like Eddie Dennis, Adam Maxted, Anthony Ogogo and Session Moth Martina, but I envision Oku getting a big push in the future. He's got something about him that makes one believe you can build a division, if not company around.

A lot of basic build and presumably shorter showcase matches for your key stars on this show, like Pete Dunne and Amale. I had to Google that Raquel Lourenco is the former Killer Kelly, so bits like that could use some further explanation for those who haven't been following since the start. Pretty good use of Sarah Logan here, and I did enjoy the post-match.

For what it's worth, the Courier font is a little diffiult to follow along with. It's standout, but in larger paragraphs I find myself losing train of thought.

While I know they are a competent tandem who have had a fair bit of success on the independent scene in the last few years, I will confess I've never seen what the deal is with The WorkHorsemen. Personal preference I guess. Good workers but they just don't do it for me. Good to see Aussie Open in the spotlight, even in losing. They're still a new act with plenty of time to go further.

Overall, not a bad lay of the land. A lot of emphasis on the undercard in the grand scheme of things. Looking ahead, I'm intrigued by The Throne as a unit. I guess I haven't been following, but the WarGames stipulation feels like a bit of a shoehorn - but then again, it's a solid hook and there is that desire to write insane-sounding matches in environments such as that. I remember writing NXT TakeOver: WarGames in the Pandemic Project - very fun, but exhausting to write by the end due to the high spots that are demanded of a match like that near the finish.

WWE UK Prelude looks pretty good, as that match with Doug Williams and Gabriel Kidd more than has my attention.

Hey DTP mate, just wanted to say thank you for leaving the feedback and the review. Really appreciate you taking the time to do so! I'm glad you are enjoying the layout of my project so far. If I am honest I have experimented with just images and hyperlinks in the past or just doing straight text. I very much transitioned to graphics, videos and so on however when I realized that a fair few names on my roster maybe people are unfamiliar with. It's definitely a case of finding the right balance and something I will continue to experiment with throughout. Same with the fonting with Courier, while I just like the look of it that is not set in stone and something I am going to toy with as we go on :)

The Spike Trivet/Tegan Nox segment I can imagine is something which will either be loved or hated. Personally I myself am not big on intergender wrestling, but at the same time I think like many things in wrestling when done right and well executed it can be effective especially not in common place. I think for me personally what made this segment work was the character contrast in my promotion. Since like day one of the women's division Tegan Nox has been the ultimate babyface character constantly fighting against the odds and all comers while obviously on the men's side Spike is this vile heel who has never worked hard a day in his life. Which is why I wanted to bring these two especially together with the contrast in their characters and perceptions.

I do agree with you on A-Kid having a lot of potential. He is a young, talented prospect but as I've said to a couple of other people. That name just irks me a lot, it's hard to take someone seriously when their name is A-Kid. So I'm hoping what I have planned for him brings him a little futher on in establishing him. Gibson again is someone I have a lot of faith in and if I am honest as someone who has seen them in Progress and so on live. While I am a fan of the GYV team, I've never been all that impressed with Drake. For me personally it's all about Gibson so I decided to take a shot here at making him a star. The roster is definitely a little stacked I know, this is something myself and @Looking Glass very much frequently debate and at times bicker about! I think for me I have so many ideas, that sometimes I get a little ahead of myself but I'm hoping what you see as time goes on is some of the names you mentioned there become more prominent.

The Killer Kelly/Raquel Lourenco name change is probably something I should address more in hindsight. In my write ups in the build to me bringing the shows to Wrestling Smarks I did address it I know, but that has been a fair amount of time. The name change if I am honest is for a similar reason to WWE with Killer Kross, I just didn't think I could realistically have her under the WWE umbrella too long with Killer in her name. I've actually had a couple of people now mention to me some reservations about the push of the Work Horsemen. I know it's probably a little daunting to see them go over Aussie Open, all I can say is I do have a I hope nifty little storyline in mind for Aussie Open and I hope as time goes on all becomes clear! The war games match I can imagine may feel a little shoe horned, especially as sadly with the move of this BTB from WC to WS, I didn't get to bring over my shows. Which is a shame as this all basically began with the Thone at Showcase Sydney (6th Showcase). Usually between Showcases there are 15 weeks of shows. So now we are coming to the 9th showcase. There has been an additional 32 weeks worth of build to this War Games. Like you mentioned though part of the reason I did select that bout is honestly I've never written one that I can recall. So I am excited to see how I find it! Thank you once again for your comments my friend, really appreciate it :)

EPISODE #145 | I AIN'T NO NICE GUY
17/08/20
BT SPORTS STUDIO | LONDON, ENGLAND
BACKSTAGE CORRESPONDENTS ~ JOANNA ROSE AND SIMON MILLER
COMMENTARY TEAM ~ JOHN GOODEN AND WADE BARRETT
RING ANNOUNCER ~ ANDY SHEPHERD
MCi0S.gif
DARK MATCH: BRADY PHILLIPS, BRENDAN WHITE, CONNOR MILLS, DAMIEN CORVIN, DANNY JONES, JACK MORRIS, JOAO SANTOS, LEVI MUIR, NORMAN HARRAS AND ORO MENSAH VS. CALLUM NEWMAN, CHARLES CROWLEY, DEREISS GORDON, ENDER KARA, GREG BURRIDGE, IESTYN REES, JOEL REDMAN, MIKE D. VECCHIO, RICKY KNIGHT JR AND ZAK ZODIAC

oro-mensah-entrance.gif

Opening the night would be a pre show match up featuring a cavalcade of talent in a wild twenty person tag team match. This would very much be a wild and chaotic affair in which every man involved got to show a little something. Of the two teams involved it seemed the unlikely grouping of Brady Phillips, The Greedy Souls, Connor Mills, Damien Corvin, Jack Morris, Joao Santos, Levi Muir, Norman Harras and Oro Mensah worked better together. This team work which seemed orchestrated by Oro Mensah would be the telling point as we'd see the other team suffer a miscommunication between Ricky Knight Jr and Charles Crowley which allowed Damien Corvin to pin Crowley following a torture rack neck breaker.

WINNERS: BRADY PHILLIPS, BRENDAN WHITE, CONNOR MILLS, DAMIEN CORVIN, DANNY JONES, JACK MORRIS, JOAO SANTOS, LEVI MUIR, NORMAN HARRAS AND ORO MENSAH

Throne by Bring me the Horizon plays with a comprehensive video package highlighting last week's show. This begins with clips from the previous week's show. Starting out with the highly controversial clash between Spike Trivet and Tegan Nox, the video would then shift to the return of Cara Noir who attacked Zack Gibson before finally settling on the Work Horsemen's shocking victory over Aussie Open. From here this week's show would officially open from inside the BT Sports Studio in London. Before a lively crowd in attendance, John Gooden and Wade Barrett would hype up the show before sending us to ringside for the first match.
MATCH #1: TAG TEAM MATCH
(Referee: Oscar Harding)

THE THRONE (BO DALLAS AND CURTIS AXEL) VS. WELSH DRAGONS (MARK ANDREWS AND MORGAN WEBSTER)

Opening the show would be the first of two war game advantage matches for the evening and it would be tag team action as former WWE tag team champions Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel took on the exciting, energetic pairing of the Welsh Dragons. This match would very much act as quite the styles clash with Dallas and Axel looking to ground their opponents. Despite their best attempts to do so, Andrews and Webster always seemed to find a way to return to the skies and in the end it would be the Welsh Dragons who took the win following a Brit Pop Drop by Webster onto Axel.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match... The Welsh Dragons!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Morgan Webster climbs to his feet in the ring. He is soon joined by Mark Andrews and the duo embrace before getting their arms raised. The cameras quickly cut to the hall where a livid Maria is watching this and shaking her head in anger.
~ CHALLENGE ~

Taking us away from the ring, the cameras direct us to the locker room area where both Carlos Romo and Mariah May are standing by. These two members of Team White Wolf very much call their team in a state of evolution. While they say they are focused on the team's future, the pairing of Romo and Mariah May make it clear that they know they need to handle things once and for all with the Foreign Legion, This is why next week Mariah May is challenging Amale to a rematch in singles action and Carlos Romo is challenging the Foreign Legion to a match at Prelude!
~ OUTWORKED ~

Following this the cameras direct us to the hallway of the arena where Joanna Rose is joined by the Work Horsemen. Talking to the duo following their big victory Joanna Rose asks the pair what their thoughts are following their contest with Aussie Open. Speaking for the team Asher Hale says that he and JD Drake came to the brand with one purpose in mind to get to the top. Now last week they have shown they can beat Aussie Open and now they are coming to not only take those titles but also to earn the pairs respect!
~ FRUSTRATION ~

Post show footage from last week's show is then played and it focuses on Tegan Nox in the medics' office when Anthony Ogogo walks in to check on her. Ogogo is not happy with what transpired between Tegan Nox and Spike Trivet and makes it clear to Tegan that he will ensure that this matter is handled and that Spike knows the consequences for his actions. Before Ogogo can leave however, Tegan asks him to hear her out as she has an idea!
MATCH #2: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Sharpe)

HYAN VS. AMBER NOVA

The second match of the night would be a singles match which of course was made last week when Amber Nova called out Hyan. Similar to Hyan's last match with Rachel Ellering this was quite a hard hitting battle which went back and forth a fair amount until once again Hyan showed the lengths she'd go to in order to win. As during one part where she fled the ring and Amber Nova reached under the bottom rope to pull her back in, Hyan would hook Nova and pull her out to the floor with a DDT while she was draped on the apron. With Nova out, Hyan rolled back into the ring and picked up a count out victory!

Shepherd: And the winner of the match as a result of a count out... Hyan!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Hyan smirks in the ring. While Hyan raises her arm in the air and starts to celebrate her win, the official begins to check on the motionless Amber Nova.
~ ARE YOU SURE ~

After the second match of the evening, the cameras direct us to the GM's office where a livid Mike Kanellis has stormed in to confront Anthony Ogogo. The Guvnor is far from impressed as Mike Kanellis argues that he should not be put in matches like War Games without prior notice. Kanellis' complaints however are soon silenced when the former olympian stands up and walks around the desk to face off with him. Ogogo reminds him that he is in charge of this brand and it's talents. With that he says that the war games match will still go ahead but the Thone has a chance to earn the War Games advantage next week as well as this one, as next week Mike Kanellis will wrestle Joe Hendry and Ilja Dragunov will take on Tony Nese.
~ FINISHED ~

Standing in the hallway ahead of the next bout of the night is a fired up Nathan Cruz. Saying that he is sick and tired of being vilified around here for his actions. Nathan Cruz reminds the world that Katherine Darcy is his girlfriend and no one else. Saying that Angelico made a move on his girl, Nathan Cruz says that he has shown him what happens when you interfere in his business. Now at the Prelude, he is going to destroy Angelico for no other reason than he wants to!

As always it is the song Everytime we touch which is playing in the background ahead of our latest trip to Session Moth's Beer Garden. Continuing on her usual trend of interacting with the fans in attendance on her way down to the ring, Session Moth Martina would have a beer in her hand as she ran around the ringside area and started dancing with the crowd whilst taking numerous sips and swigs of the beer. As she nears the commentary table, Martina encourages both Andy Shepherd and John Gooden to have a drink with her and join in the festivities while a disgusted Wade Barrett watches on. Rolling into the ring, Martina jokes about being out of breath and needing to work on her cardio before welcoming everyone to the Beer Garden. Calling her show the most must watch and unpredictable show on television since Emmerdale Farm, Martina says that her show promises chaos, fun and wild moments. But tonight she hopes the fans are in the mood for a little romance as she introduces her guests, who she calls the WWE UK's version of the Beckhams.. Michael Oku and Amira Blair!

The audience cheers as Michael Oku's theme plays and slowly Oku walks out from the back with his girlfriend Amira Blair holding his hand. As the pair walk down to the ring it is John Gooden who informs everyone that Blair is in fact a prospect in the WWE UK performance center. Once the duo are in the ring Martina offers them a drink, while Oku simply settles on a beer, Amira meanwhile takes a sparkling wine. Starting out by praising the couple as a good looking pair, Martina then praises Oku's showings as of late in the ring. Speaking for the duo, Michael Oku says he is proud to represent the WWE UK brand and truly believes that he has what it takes to be at the very top of the brand. Calling himself someone who is in this sport for the right reasons. Oku says he isn't here for status or fame, instead he is here for competition and to prove himself as the very best. This is why he requested to be on tonight's show as he is sick and tired of these fame hungry, clout chasers looking to make their name off of his hard work. Which is why he wants Aaron Chalmers to come out here right now as Oku has got a suggestion to settle this once and for all!

The crowd boos loudly as Aaron Chalmers walks out from the back and onto the stage. True to form he is not alone either as he is joined by his cohort Adam Maxted. Calling his time valuable Maxted tells Oku to hurry up as he doesn't want to give Oku anymore of his shine and he has an announcement of his own. Branding Chalmers a parasite who is feeding off of this sport because his reality tv career has wound down. Oku says that he is sick of humoring this any longer and wants a match with Aaron Chalmers at the Prelude. Pointing to Adam Maxted and telling him that he hasn't forgotten about him either, despite the fact that everyone else has. Michael Oku makes it clear that he will have little issue in going through Maxted in order to get to Chalmers. Saying that he had no idea that Oku was as stupid to even consider fighting him, Chalmers says that he thinks Oku having to face Maxted first is an excellent idea. Which is why he is proposing that at the Prelude, if Oku is as confident in his abilities as a wrestler as he says he is. He will have no issue wrestling Adam Maxted and if he beats Maxted, then and only then will he get a match with Chalmers.

Without hesitation despite Amira showing some slight concern, Michael Oku accepts this challenge as he makes it clear that he knows he can beat Maxted and knows that he will also beat Chalmers. Chalmers however doesn't seem to be done as he says that so far Oku has done better than expected as he has beaten the likes of Jerry Bakewell and Davey Blaze. However, Chalmers has had a meeting with Anthony Ogogo and with Oku seemingly taking issue with some cross media sensations stepping into the ring. Then Michael Oku would not have an issue taking on one last man next week who has a similar background. Nodding his head Oku says that he will continue to knock down anyone that Aaron Chalmers puts in front of him. This causes Aaron Chalmers to smirk as he says that Oku has yet to face a Gladiator and with that he welcomes Oku to his opponent for next week...

There is a surprised response from the crowd as the theme song for Mason Ryan begins to play. While Michael Oku in the ring also seems slightly confused by this Aaron Chalmers begins to smile broadly as the cameras turn back to Oku. Here we see sliding into the ring having made his way through the crowd is Mason Ryan. Slowly Oku turns round and is met with a big boot to the jaw while Session Moth Martina leaves the ring. A tearful Amira tries to stand between Oku and Ryan who in turn backs her into the corner. Michael Oku climbs to his feet and starts to fire off some punches at Ryan until Ryan clasps him by the throat before chokeslaming him through Martina's drink table. With that Ryan begins to flex in the ring while Amira checks on Oku.
MATCH #3: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Artemis Ortygie)

ELIZA ALEXANDER VS. SARA LEON

The third match of the night would see Eliza Alexander in action against WWE UK performance center trainee Sara Leon. This bout would very much act as a showcase for Eliza Alexander. A ruthless and hard hitting competitor, Eliza came close to putting away Sara with a pop up headbutt. Not long after this however we'd see Alexander finally take the win after landing a running soccer kick on her opponent.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Eliza Alexander!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Eliza Alexander rises to her feet. While Eliza starts to celebrate her win however, she is soon cut short when she is double legged by Raquel Lourenco who fires off several punches on Alexander. Jinny and the House of Couture look to rush down to the ring with Australia's Hottest Commodities also tagging along when Candy Floss, Laura Di Matteo, Katarina Leigh and Santana Garrett meet them at the bottom of the ramp and begin to fight against the group. Jinny rolls into the ring to escape the fray, but as she climbs to her feet Raquel locks in the Killer Clutch on her. Jinny tries to fight out but eventually fades in the hold as Raquel then lets her drop to the canvas.
~ LOST CAUSE ~

A pre taped promo then plays and it focuses on Doug Williams as he leaves a check up with his doctor. Williams is fired up as he addresses his former protege Gabriel Kidd. Calling his decision to align with Eddie Dennis a poor one and one which has awakened a fire inside of him. Doug Williams makes it clear that his goal at prelude is to make Gabriel Kidd pay and realize that while Doug may have taught Gabriel a lot of things.. He didn't teach him everything that he knows!
~ ON WHAT AUTHORITY ~

The cameras then take us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. Here the WWE UK General manager does not seem best pleased as he reads a bunch of documents handed to him by Eddie Dennis. Unimpressed as he finishes reading it and looking at Eddie whose arm is in a sling. Ogogo asks Eddie what he wants to do about his match tonight and at prelude being that according to this he is not cleared to compete. With a smirk on his face Eddie Dennis says, keep both matches scheduled because he has a replacement in mind!
~ DEMONS ~

kk_eER.gif

Another pre taped promo is then shown and it focuses on Finn Balor. The former WWE UK Champion cuts a very stoic figure as he talks about Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. Saying that in a way he wants to thank them, as they awakened something inside of him that he'd thought was long dead. Saying that at the Showcase, he wants to fight both Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. Finn Balor makes it clear that because of what they did to him. He can no longer keep the devil inside him locked away and at the Showcase, he is planning to let the Devil out for the first time in a long time!
MATCH #4: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Katie Walker)

KIP SABIAN VS. CARA NOIR

Match four would see Cara Noir return to the ring against Kip Sabian. Since his return to the UK brand, this was by far Cara Noir's toughest opponent yet as Kip Sabian looked to work the legs of his opponent and trapped him in several different submissions throughout the match. Noir however would manage to survive these attacks before eventually he'd hit Sabian with a Brainbuster to pick up the much needed win!

Shepherd: and the winner of the match.. Cara Noir!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Cara Noir climbs to his feet in the ring. As Cara Noir has his arm raised in the air, we see Zack Gibson hop the barricade and look to jump Noir from behind. Cara however is wise to his trick and turns round and stares at Gibson. This leads to Gibson dropping off of the apron and backing his way up the ramp away from Noir.
~ REALITY ~

Footage from earlier in the evening is then shown and it focuses on British Strong Style making their arrival to the building. Trent Seven seems to be laying down the law and strategy to his team mates ahead of their match tonight. While Millie McKenzie again seems the more receptive to Seven's ideas, but soon it doesn't take long for Seven and Tyler Bate to begin bickering. After some back and forth with Bate remarking that this is a team and Seven isn't the leader. We see both Seven and McKenzie walk into the building. Bate meanwhile is surprised to come face to face with Pete Dunne. Saying that he is not here to fight, Pete Dunne says that while they have their issues. Pete knows deep down that Tyler Bate can see what Trent Seven really is. Saying that while he and Bate are far from being friends, Dunne wants to help Millie and knows Bate can see the influence Seven is having on her. With that Dunne walks off leaving Bate to think about what he said.
~ ANNOUNCEMENTS ~

From here the cameras direct us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. The WWE UK GM begins a series of announcements as he firstly confirms that in a grudge match for the WWE UK Showcase, Trent Seven will take on Pete Dunne! From here Ogogo follows by addressing next week's show as firstly he confirms that in singles action Raquel Lourenco will take on Eliza Alexander while he follows by telling Spike Trivet that he wants to meet with him in the ring to address his actions last week!
~ WELCOME TO WONDERLAND *PART ONE* ~

Having been led to Wonderland but not by her choice, Xia Brookside walks through a long grassy maze as she hears constant calls sending her in various directions. Slowly Xia Brookside happens across "The White Rabbit" Jayde. The White Rabbit greets Xia warmly before she escorts her through the maze. During this walk, Xia asks exactly why she is here too which Jayde informs her, the queen has invited her for tea. With that as they come through the end of the maze, Xia stands in front of a tall castle like building. Here "The Red Queen" Isla Dawn stands with a big smile on her face as she welcomes her to Wonderland and her kingdom before asking her to follow her inside for tea.
MATCH #5: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Tate Mayfairs)

Ahead of the introductions for the next match, Eddie Dennis steps forward in the ring with a microphone in his left hand while his right arm of course is still in a sling. Looking over at Gene Munny across the other side of the ring, Dennis smirks cockily before he begins to speak.

Eddie: Ladies and Gentleman, as many of you are aware. I tragically suffered an injury to my arm which has led me being medically unable to compete tonight or at Prelude. However being the man that I am, I couldn't leave everyone empty handed now. Which is why I have brought with me a replacement. So please join me in welcoming... HARRY SMITH!

HARRY SMITH VS. GENE MUNNY

Having had a last minute change of opponent, Gene Munny very much looked to go for broke in the early going against the much larger Harry Smith. While Munny's strikes may have been seemingly not that effective on Smith. To his credit Munny would manage to pick up a 2 count from the referee following a diving spear from the turnbuckle. This offence however would soon be shrugged off by Harry Smith who began to throw Munny across the canvas with several big suplexes. From here Smith then hit a big high angle saito suplex on Munny before clamping on a dragon sleeper for the submission.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match... Harry Smith!

As the announcement is made a smirking Eddie Dennis rolls into the ring. After getting his arm raised by the referee, Smith turns to Eddie Dennis who shakes his hand and pats his replacement on the shoulder.
~ YOU DARE ~

Post show footage is then shown as the cameras focus on "The Total Diva" Jessi Kamea making her exit from the building. Kamea is angry having been attacked by Kanji a couple of weeks ago. The livid Kamea deems Kanji an uggo and a piece of trash who should know better than putting her hands on someone like her. Promising to make Kanji regret putting her hands on her. Jessi Kamea says that there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who are beautiful and successful like her and losers like Kanji. At the prelude, Kamea makes it clear she will highlight to the world who the loser is!
~ ROYAL DECREE ~

Ahead of the next match of the night, the cameras take us to the Throne locker room where Maria Kanellis is standing by. Maria is far from happy as she as she begins to address the assault on her person at the hands of Session Moth Martina last week. Remarking that an attack on her queen is paramount to treason. Maria says that Martina will learn that actions have consequences at Prelude. As Maria has met with Anthony Ogogo earlier tonight and has gotten a match made at the Prelude. Maria closes out this promo by saying that Martina will become the latest to kneel before The Throne!
MATCH #6: SIX PERSON TAG
(Referee: Darryl Sharma)

BRITISH STRONG STYLE (MILLIE MCKENZIE, TYLER BATE AND TRENT SEVEN) VS. NORTH WEST STRONG (ETHAN ALLEN, LUKE JACOBS AND RHIO)

Match six was of course six person tag team action as British Strong Style united to take on the trio of North West Strong. This would be quite a physical and hard hitting contest between the two teams. During this bout we would see a bit of a lack of cohesion on the British Strong Style side as not only did Tyler Bate seem unwilling to work with Trent Seven but it also seemed that Bate wasn't as approving of the more questionable tactics which Seven would employ. This included Seven actually taking a unneeded cheap shot on Rhio behind the referee's back which set up McKenzie putting her opponent away with a spear.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match... British Strong Style!

The crowd erupts into boos as the announcement is made and Millie McKenzie climbs to her feet. Joining Millie in the ring to celebrate this win is Trent Seven who makes the point of having Millie raise his arm in the air. Shaking his head on the apron, Tyler Bate soon walks backstage muttering that he doesn't want to win this way.
~ IF YOU WILL ~

Having watched this match on his TV, Anthony Ogogo can only shake his head in disappointment before he looks over at Pete Dunne who is standing in his office. Dunne is far from impressed with what he has seen and says that he knows what he must do. Ogogo can only continue to shake his head while Pete Dunne asks Anthony Ogogo if now he has seen it also, will he give Pete Dunne what he wants. Albeit with some hesitation, Ogogo slowly nods his head and says that if Pete Dunne well and truly wants this then he will allow Pete Dunne to announce it next week!
~ HONOR ~

Right ahead of the main event of the evening, the cameras take us to the hallway of the arena where the WWE UK Commonwealth Champion Kassius Ohno is standing by. Now aware of his shift in opponent for his match at Prelude. Kassius Ohno says that Harry Smith is a man who he has a lot of respect for. Praising his lineage and also his brutality in the ring. Ohno however says that he cannot help but express his disgust at Harry aligning himself by choice with a man like Eddie Dennis. Calling this a slap in the face to his legacy. Ohno promises that regardless of the change, he will be victorious at Prelude!
MAIN EVENT: SINGLES MATCH
(Senor Official: Thomas Scarborough)

MATT TAVEN VS. ADAM BROOKS

The final bout of the night would of course be our second in the line of War Games advantage matches. With Joe Hendry's team being currently one up against The Throne, it seemed the pressure was very much on one of the Throne's more dangerous competitors Matt Taven. His opponent of course would be the high flying daredevil Adam Brooks and this bout would very much be a fast paced sprint. With both men really pulling out all the stops in this high paced clash, it seemed one misstep could be all it took and it was very much the case when Taven was able to raise his knees during a swanton attempt. This winded Brooks and allowed Taven to put him away with the Climax.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Matt Taven!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Matt Taven climbs to his feet. The smug Taven then raises his arm in the air before the cameras cut backstage and show the smirking Throne watching on.

Following a brief ad break, the cameras return to the ring for our final segment of the evening. This of course would be the weigh in for the WWE European Championship match at the upcoming showcase. Hosting the proceedings would be commentator John Gooden who welcomes the challenger Ashton Smith down to the ring first. Dressed casually in a t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms Ashton Smith appears to be all business on his way down to the ring despite being met with loud cheers from the audience in attendance. Once he was in the ring Ashton Smith removed his t-shirt and hopped on the scale. On the weigh in Smith would weigh in officially tonight at 200 pounds exactly. With this announcement made a fired up Smith let out a pumped up roar before stepping off of the scale. Once off of the scale, Smith would put his shirt back on and back into the corner while Gooden prepared his next introduction.

Too loud boos from the crowd, the WWE European Champion Gunther walked out from the back accompanied by his associate Nigel McGuinness. This duo would walk down to the ring and once near the ring itself, Gunther passed Nigel his WWE European Championship. With that Gunther would head into the ring and remove his black tracksuit jacket before climbing onto the scale. While officials would start to conduct the weigh in, a stoic Gunther just stared ahead while Ashton Smith had his eyes locked firmly on Gunther. The officials and Jon Gooden would then announce the champion as weighing in at 310 pounds. With that the Ring General stepped off of the scale and towards the center of the ring where Nigel presented him with his championship which the Ring General held high up in the air as the crowd in attendance would once again start to boo. From here, John Gooden would approach Ashton Smith and ask him how he was feeling going into their match at the Showcase despite the size differential. Saying his entire life story has been one of fighting against the odds and never backing down.

Ashton Smith says that he has climbed many mountains before in his life and he sees Gunther as no different then that. When asked about his personal feelings going into the bout, Ashton calls what happened to Rampage Brown just fuel to the fire as he pledges that Gunther will be beaten for the very first time since his arrival to the WWE UK Brand. These comments don't seem to impress Gunther who shakes his head dismissively while Nigel McGuinness confronts Gooden and Smith. Proclaiming Gunther's reign of dominance a never ending occurrence which will just have to be respected, accepted and recognized. Nigel says that children like Ashton Smith talk about all the hardship they've apparently endured as this makes them something special. Yet in reality the only ones who are special are those like Gunther who actually work to be the very best rather than dream about something they will never achieve!

Nigel then addresses the apparent wake of injuries that wrestlers have suffered in matches with Gunther as names such as Shelton Benjamin, Joseph Conners and Rampage Brown are mentioned. Calling this a battle of wills where the strong prosper and the weak crumble, Nigel McGuinness says that he and Gunther offer no apologies for any injuries dealt in this ring. As instead it is their way of weeding out the weak and undeserving. This comment appears to send Smith over the edge as he slaps the microphone away from Nigel and advances towards him. This causes Gunther to shove Smith back against the ropes. The Ring General then charges at Ashton who ducks under a big boot before he connects with a superkick to Gunther's jaw. The European Champion is reeling as a second kick follows and causes Gunther to stumble against the ropes. Smith then follows up with a third kick which sends Gunther tumbling through the middle rope and out to the floor where the European champion lands on his feet. With his associate Nigel McGuiness joining him, the livid Gunther looks on as Ashton Smith waves for him to come back in the ring as the show comes to a close!

BRITISH STRONG STYLE COLLIDES

TRENT SEVEN VS. PETE DUNNE

The fourth match confirmed for this upcoming UK Showcase will perhaps be it's most personal as former friends, stablemates and tag team partners collide when Trent Seven takes on Pete Dunne. These two of course were once allies as part of the collective of British Strong Style faction. In fact at one stage this pairing was the WWE UK Tag Team Champions together. However over time it seemed that the pair would begin to differ over the plans for the future of this group and also Seven's growing influence over Dunne's protege Millie McKenzie. This would lead to a stunning betrayal as Trent Seven, Tyler Bate and Millie McKenzie viciously attacked and beat down Pete Dunne kicking him out of the group. Since that time Pete Dunne has pledged that he will tear British Strong Style apart from the seems. Although as of late it seems that Trent Seven and hus methods have brought him into conflict with another stablemate as Tyler Bate doesn't quite seem to be following the program either. Which surprisingly saw Dunne reach out to his old rival and express his concern for Seven's plans and plotting. Which begs the question, what does the wily Seven have up his sleeve with this match officially being sanctioned for Showcase?
HANDICAP MATCH

FINN BALOR VS. ALEXANDER WOLFE AND KILLIAN DAIN

The fifth match confirmed for the Showcase event promises to be a fiery affair as Finn Balor will take on the two men who recently returned to the WWE UK Brand and launched a vicious attack on him Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. This twisted duo who were of course one time former NXT tag team champions under the moniker of Sanity, have yet to truly explain the reasoning for why they attacked and assaulted Finn Balor several weeks ago. Yet what they didn't seem to be counting on was the domino effect that their attack would actually cause. As ever since that attack, a series of cryptic videos have played displaying a new side of Finn Balor. Stoic and speaking about releasing the demons from inside of himself, Finn Balor has pledged that at the Showcase the world will see the real Finn Balor. Just what can be expected from this haunting promise?

HARRY SMITH W/EDDIE DENNIS

However as we'd soon find with Eddie Dennis, the Welshman always had a trick or two up his sleeve and this was shown the week following the announcement of this match. As Eddie Dennis provided Anthony Ogogo with a doctor's note ruling him out of competition for this match and has brought in a replacement being the hard hitting, decorated multi generational talent Harry Smith. With this change of opponent, will Kassius Ohno be able to overcome the odds?

HANDICAP MATCH

TEAM WHITE WOLF (CARLOS ROMO AND MARIAH MAY) VS. THE FOREIGN LEGION (AMALE, FRANCESCO AKIRA AND LUDWIG KAISER)

A special handicap match has also been confirmed for the Prelude as feuding stables Team White Wolfe and the Foreign Legion will collide. With Both stables experiencing a lot of change as of late it is perhaps Team White Wolf who have experienced the most turmoil with A-Kid and Carlos Romo frequently coming into conflict with one another leading to A-Kid seemingly walking away from the team for the time being. While A-Kid may have gone however this has not stopped the White Wolf team being harassed by the Foreign Legion. The legion of course having undergone it's own changers with the arrival of it's newest member from Italy, Francesco Akira. Despite the numbers being against them, the pair of Mariah May and Carlos Romo have personally requested this bout in the hopes of silencing the Foreign Legion once and for all.
SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH

MARIA KANELLIS VS. SESSION MOTH MARTINA

A surprising recent addition to the Prelude Card will be a women's match between two women who have in fact yet to have a match as part of the UK Brand will collide in singles action. As for the first time Maria Kanellis will compete in a WWE UK ring opposite the host of The Beer Garden Session Moth Martina. These two women have frequently come into verbal conflict with one another which has steadily involved into some more physical confrontations. Now we know that Maria herself has personally called for this bout and has pledged to make Martina her own personal court jester. Will Maria succeed in doing just that to the party mad moth?
SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
(If Michael Oku wins. He get's an immediate match with Aaron Chalmers)

MICHAEL OKU VS. ADAM MAXTED W/AARON CHALMERS

On a night packed full of intriguing clashes and bad blood. There is quite possibly not a match which has attracted as many eyes on it as the recently announced bout between Michael Oku and Adam "Flex" Maxted. This bout has very much captured the imagination of many even outside the wrestling fanbase thanks to the involvement of Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers. Oku has of course taken exception to Chalmers who he has branded a parasite and a clout chaser looking to leech off of the wrestling world. This has led to Chalmers reaching out to some of his wrestling contacts with reality tv backgrounds such as Davey Blaze. However none have thus far shown themselves to be as dangerous as Love Islands' Adam Maxted. For this match at the showcase Oku will have to overcome the titan that is Maxted while knowing a win will not be the end of his night as if he can defeat Maxted he will then face off right after with Aaron Chalmers. Will Oku be able to overcome the odds?

NEXT SHOW PREVIEW
WAR GAMES ADVANTAGE

JOE HENDRY VS. MIKE KANELLIS

Ahead of the War Games match at the WWE UK Showcase 9. A series of War Games advantage matches have of course been confirmed with the winning side gaining the critical advantage in the war games. With the teams currently tied at one win apiece so far, this coming show will be crucial as the teams look to cement their victory and gain the advantage. In the first of two war games advantage matches, we know that The Throne's Mike Kanellis will take on his heated rival Joe Hendry in what will be a highly anticipated grudge match.
WAR GAMES ADVANTAGE

ILJA DRAGUNOV VS. ANTHONY NESE

The second war games advantage match of the night looks to be a hard hitting bout as both team's heaviest hitters collide when Ilja Dragunov battles "The Premiere Athlete" Anthony Nese. While to some Nese may be perceived as a hired gun or henchman to The Throne and Mike Kanellis. There are many who remember Nese being a top scouted prospect before being recruited by Maria. While standing across from him will be the uber tough and spirited gladiator Ilja Dragunov, making this bout a must watch contest this coming week!
REMATCH

MARIAH MAY VS. AMALE

A highly personal rematch will also take place on this coming weeks show as Team White Wolf's Mariah May battles The Foreign Legion's Amale. These two women of course clashed several weeks ago in a heated clash which Amale was victorious. Since then however things have only gotten more adversarial with the pair as their respective factions have been at odds with one another. Now this coming week, ahead of the Foreign Legion's bout with Team White Wolf at the Showcase, we know that Mariah May will have the chance to even the score with Amale once and for all.
SINGLES MATCH

SESSION MOTH MARTINA VS. AVA EVERETT

With a big singles match set for WWE UK Prelude, we know that this coming week fans will see the in ring debut of Session Moth Martina. While some fans of WWE will only know Martina as the host of Session Moth's Beer Garden, those fans more aware of the WWE UK scene will know Martina as a well travelled veteran of the UK independent scene. Now this coming week, Martina will have a chance to give the WWE UK fans a preview of things to come as she takes on WWE UK Performance Center prospect Ava Everett.
SINGLES MATCH

MICHAEL OKU VS. MASON RYAN

In a surprising twist, this coming week's show will also feature the in ring return of Wales' Mason Ryan. Having departed WWE over 6 years ago and since then been serving in Cirque Du Soleil, Mason Ryan returns as the latest in a wave of talents brought in by Aaron Chalmers to target Michael Oku. Ryan of course being a former TV star in the renewal of Gladiators, very much is said to have taken afront at Oku's comment that TV stars like Chalmers are looking to feed off of the wrestling world. How will Ryan fare in his WWE UK debut against the top prospect Oku?
SINGLES MATCH

ELIZA ALEXANDER VS. RAQUEL LOURENCO

A highly anticipated grudge match is also scheduled for this week as Eliza Alexander will battle Raquel Lourenco. Alexander of course was the latest in a line of mercenaries to target Raquel Lourenco but impressively she was the first to actually be successful as she left Raquel laying. While her alignment with Jinny and the House of Couture, still remains to be uncertain. We can confirm that this week Raquel Lourenco has personally requested to battle Alexander in the ring. Who will be victorious in this heated grudge match?
SINGLES MATCH

ANGELICO VS. KEZ EVANS

Ahead of his singles match at the WWE UK Prelude against Nathan Cruz, we know that this week Angelico will return to singles action having been briefly put on the shelf following an assault by Cruz. His opponent this week will be the tough and gritty veteran Kez Evans who has made it known that he is sick and tired of being in his words relegated to the performance center. With Angelico potentially not a hundred percent, Evans is a tough test for him to face the week before the Prelude. Can Angelico overcome the odds?
SINGLES MATCH

HARRY SMITH VS. LUKE JACOBS

Having been unveiled as Eddie Dennis' replacement for his commonwealth championship at the Prelude against Kassius Ohno. We know that Harry Smith will step into the ring once more this week in preparation for that match. Promising to be a hard hitting bout, Harry Smith will be looking to send a message to Kassius Ohno ahead of their clash at the WWE UK Prelude.
