DARK MATCH: BRADY PHILLIPS, BRENDAN WHITE, CONNOR MILLS, DAMIEN CORVIN, DANNY JONES, JACK MORRIS, JOAO SANTOS, LEVI MUIR, NORMAN HARRAS AND ORO MENSAH VS. CALLUM NEWMAN, CHARLES CROWLEY, DEREISS GORDON, ENDER KARA, GREG BURRIDGE, IESTYN REES, JOEL REDMAN, MIKE D. VECCHIO, RICKY KNIGHT JR AND ZAK ZODIAC
Opening the night would be a pre show match up featuring a cavalcade of talent in a wild twenty person tag team match. This would very much be a wild and chaotic affair in which every man involved got to show a little something. Of the two teams involved it seemed the unlikely grouping of Brady Phillips, The Greedy Souls, Connor Mills, Damien Corvin, Jack Morris, Joao Santos, Levi Muir, Norman Harras and Oro Mensah worked better together. This team work which seemed orchestrated by Oro Mensah would be the telling point as we'd see the other team suffer a miscommunication between Ricky Knight Jr and Charles Crowley which allowed Damien Corvin to pin Crowley following a torture rack neck breaker.
WINNERS: BRADY PHILLIPS, BRENDAN WHITE, CONNOR MILLS, DAMIEN CORVIN, DANNY JONES, JACK MORRIS, JOAO SANTOS, LEVI MUIR, NORMAN HARRAS AND ORO MENSAH |

Throne by Bring me the Horizon plays with a comprehensive video package highlighting last week's show. This begins with clips from the previous week's show. Starting out with the highly controversial clash between Spike Trivet and Tegan Nox, the video would then shift to the return of Cara Noir who attacked Zack Gibson before finally settling on the Work Horsemen's shocking victory over Aussie Open. From here this week's show would officially open from inside the BT Sports Studio in London. Before a lively crowd in attendance, John Gooden and Wade Barrett would hype up the show before sending us to ringside for the first match. |
MATCH #1: TAG TEAM MATCH
(Referee: Oscar Harding)
THE THRONE (BO DALLAS AND CURTIS AXEL) VS. WELSH DRAGONS (MARK ANDREWS AND MORGAN WEBSTER)
Opening the show would be the first of two war game advantage matches for the evening and it would be tag team action as former WWE tag team champions Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel took on the exciting, energetic pairing of the Welsh Dragons. This match would very much act as quite the styles clash with Dallas and Axel looking to ground their opponents. Despite their best attempts to do so, Andrews and Webster always seemed to find a way to return to the skies and in the end it would be the Welsh Dragons who took the win following a Brit Pop Drop by Webster onto Axel.
Shepherd: And the winners of the match... The Welsh Dragons!
The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Morgan Webster climbs to his feet in the ring. He is soon joined by Mark Andrews and the duo embrace before getting their arms raised. The cameras quickly cut to the hall where a livid Maria is watching this and shaking her head in anger. |
~ CHALLENGE ~
Taking us away from the ring, the cameras direct us to the locker room area where both Carlos Romo and Mariah May are standing by. These two members of Team White Wolf very much call their team in a state of evolution. While they say they are focused on the team's future, the pairing of Romo and Mariah May make it clear that they know they need to handle things once and for all with the Foreign Legion, This is why next week Mariah May is challenging Amale to a rematch in singles action and Carlos Romo is challenging the Foreign Legion to a match at Prelude! |
~ OUTWORKED ~
Following this the cameras direct us to the hallway of the arena where Joanna Rose is joined by the Work Horsemen. Talking to the duo following their big victory Joanna Rose asks the pair what their thoughts are following their contest with Aussie Open. Speaking for the team Asher Hale says that he and JD Drake came to the brand with one purpose in mind to get to the top. Now last week they have shown they can beat Aussie Open and now they are coming to not only take those titles but also to earn the pairs respect! |
~ FRUSTRATION ~
Post show footage from last week's show is then played and it focuses on Tegan Nox in the medics' office when Anthony Ogogo walks in to check on her. Ogogo is not happy with what transpired between Tegan Nox and Spike Trivet and makes it clear to Tegan that he will ensure that this matter is handled and that Spike knows the consequences for his actions. Before Ogogo can leave however, Tegan asks him to hear her out as she has an idea! |
MATCH #2: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Sharpe)
HYAN VS. AMBER NOVA
The second match of the night would be a singles match which of course was made last week when Amber Nova called out Hyan. Similar to Hyan's last match with Rachel Ellering this was quite a hard hitting battle which went back and forth a fair amount until once again Hyan showed the lengths she'd go to in order to win. As during one part where she fled the ring and Amber Nova reached under the bottom rope to pull her back in, Hyan would hook Nova and pull her out to the floor with a DDT while she was draped on the apron. With Nova out, Hyan rolled back into the ring and picked up a count out victory!
Shepherd: And the winner of the match as a result of a count out... Hyan!
The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Hyan smirks in the ring. While Hyan raises her arm in the air and starts to celebrate her win, the official begins to check on the motionless Amber Nova. |
~ ARE YOU SURE ~
After the second match of the evening, the cameras direct us to the GM's office where a livid Mike Kanellis has stormed in to confront Anthony Ogogo. The Guvnor is far from impressed as Mike Kanellis argues that he should not be put in matches like War Games without prior notice. Kanellis' complaints however are soon silenced when the former olympian stands up and walks around the desk to face off with him. Ogogo reminds him that he is in charge of this brand and it's talents. With that he says that the war games match will still go ahead but the Thone has a chance to earn the War Games advantage next week as well as this one, as next week Mike Kanellis will wrestle Joe Hendry and Ilja Dragunov will take on Tony Nese. |
~ FINISHED ~
Standing in the hallway ahead of the next bout of the night is a fired up Nathan Cruz. Saying that he is sick and tired of being vilified around here for his actions. Nathan Cruz reminds the world that Katherine Darcy is his girlfriend and no one else. Saying that Angelico made a move on his girl, Nathan Cruz says that he has shown him what happens when you interfere in his business. Now at the Prelude, he is going to destroy Angelico for no other reason than he wants to! |
As always it is the song Everytime we touch which is playing in the background ahead of our latest trip to Session Moth's Beer Garden. Continuing on her usual trend of interacting with the fans in attendance on her way down to the ring, Session Moth Martina would have a beer in her hand as she ran around the ringside area and started dancing with the crowd whilst taking numerous sips and swigs of the beer. As she nears the commentary table, Martina encourages both Andy Shepherd and John Gooden to have a drink with her and join in the festivities while a disgusted Wade Barrett watches on. Rolling into the ring, Martina jokes about being out of breath and needing to work on her cardio before welcoming everyone to the Beer Garden. Calling her show the most must watch and unpredictable show on television since Emmerdale Farm, Martina says that her show promises chaos, fun and wild moments. But tonight she hopes the fans are in the mood for a little romance as she introduces her guests, who she calls the WWE UK's version of the Beckhams.. Michael Oku and Amira Blair!
The audience cheers as Michael Oku's theme plays and slowly Oku walks out from the back with his girlfriend Amira Blair holding his hand. As the pair walk down to the ring it is John Gooden who informs everyone that Blair is in fact a prospect in the WWE UK performance center. Once the duo are in the ring Martina offers them a drink, while Oku simply settles on a beer, Amira meanwhile takes a sparkling wine. Starting out by praising the couple as a good looking pair, Martina then praises Oku's showings as of late in the ring. Speaking for the duo, Michael Oku says he is proud to represent the WWE UK brand and truly believes that he has what it takes to be at the very top of the brand. Calling himself someone who is in this sport for the right reasons. Oku says he isn't here for status or fame, instead he is here for competition and to prove himself as the very best. This is why he requested to be on tonight's show as he is sick and tired of these fame hungry, clout chasers looking to make their name off of his hard work. Which is why he wants Aaron Chalmers to come out here right now as Oku has got a suggestion to settle this once and for all!
The crowd boos loudly as Aaron Chalmers walks out from the back and onto the stage. True to form he is not alone either as he is joined by his cohort Adam Maxted. Calling his time valuable Maxted tells Oku to hurry up as he doesn't want to give Oku anymore of his shine and he has an announcement of his own. Branding Chalmers a parasite who is feeding off of this sport because his reality tv career has wound down. Oku says that he is sick of humoring this any longer and wants a match with Aaron Chalmers at the Prelude. Pointing to Adam Maxted and telling him that he hasn't forgotten about him either, despite the fact that everyone else has. Michael Oku makes it clear that he will have little issue in going through Maxted in order to get to Chalmers. Saying that he had no idea that Oku was as stupid to even consider fighting him, Chalmers says that he thinks Oku having to face Maxted first is an excellent idea. Which is why he is proposing that at the Prelude, if Oku is as confident in his abilities as a wrestler as he says he is. He will have no issue wrestling Adam Maxted and if he beats Maxted, then and only then will he get a match with Chalmers.
Without hesitation despite Amira showing some slight concern, Michael Oku accepts this challenge as he makes it clear that he knows he can beat Maxted and knows that he will also beat Chalmers. Chalmers however doesn't seem to be done as he says that so far Oku has done better than expected as he has beaten the likes of Jerry Bakewell and Davey Blaze. However, Chalmers has had a meeting with Anthony Ogogo and with Oku seemingly taking issue with some cross media sensations stepping into the ring. Then Michael Oku would not have an issue taking on one last man next week who has a similar background. Nodding his head Oku says that he will continue to knock down anyone that Aaron Chalmers puts in front of him. This causes Aaron Chalmers to smirk as he says that Oku has yet to face a Gladiator and with that he welcomes Oku to his opponent for next week...
There is a surprised response from the crowd as the theme song for Mason Ryan begins to play. While Michael Oku in the ring also seems slightly confused by this Aaron Chalmers begins to smile broadly as the cameras turn back to Oku. Here we see sliding into the ring having made his way through the crowd is Mason Ryan. Slowly Oku turns round and is met with a big boot to the jaw while Session Moth Martina leaves the ring. A tearful Amira tries to stand between Oku and Ryan who in turn backs her into the corner. Michael Oku climbs to his feet and starts to fire off some punches at Ryan until Ryan clasps him by the throat before chokeslaming him through Martina's drink table. With that Ryan begins to flex in the ring while Amira checks on Oku.

MATCH #3: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Artemis Ortygie)
ELIZA ALEXANDER VS. SARA LEON
The third match of the night would see Eliza Alexander in action against WWE UK performance center trainee Sara Leon. This bout would very much act as a showcase for Eliza Alexander. A ruthless and hard hitting competitor, Eliza came close to putting away Sara with a pop up headbutt. Not long after this however we'd see Alexander finally take the win after landing a running soccer kick on her opponent.
Shepherd: And the winner of the match Eliza Alexander!
The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Eliza Alexander rises to her feet. While Eliza starts to celebrate her win however, she is soon cut short when she is double legged by Raquel Lourenco who fires off several punches on Alexander. Jinny and the House of Couture look to rush down to the ring with Australia's Hottest Commodities also tagging along when Candy Floss, Laura Di Matteo, Katarina Leigh and Santana Garrett meet them at the bottom of the ramp and begin to fight against the group. Jinny rolls into the ring to escape the fray, but as she climbs to her feet Raquel locks in the Killer Clutch on her. Jinny tries to fight out but eventually fades in the hold as Raquel then lets her drop to the canvas. |
~ LOST CAUSE ~
A pre taped promo then plays and it focuses on Doug Williams as he leaves a check up with his doctor. Williams is fired up as he addresses his former protege Gabriel Kidd. Calling his decision to align with Eddie Dennis a poor one and one which has awakened a fire inside of him. Doug Williams makes it clear that his goal at prelude is to make Gabriel Kidd pay and realize that while Doug may have taught Gabriel a lot of things.. He didn't teach him everything that he knows! |
~ ON WHAT AUTHORITY ~
The cameras then take us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. Here the WWE UK General manager does not seem best pleased as he reads a bunch of documents handed to him by Eddie Dennis. Unimpressed as he finishes reading it and looking at Eddie whose arm is in a sling. Ogogo asks Eddie what he wants to do about his match tonight and at prelude being that according to this he is not cleared to compete. With a smirk on his face Eddie Dennis says, keep both matches scheduled because he has a replacement in mind! |
~ DEMONS ~
Another pre taped promo is then shown and it focuses on Finn Balor. The former WWE UK Champion cuts a very stoic figure as he talks about Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. Saying that in a way he wants to thank them, as they awakened something inside of him that he'd thought was long dead. Saying that at the Showcase, he wants to fight both Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain. Finn Balor makes it clear that because of what they did to him. He can no longer keep the devil inside him locked away and at the Showcase, he is planning to let the Devil out for the first time in a long time! |
MATCH #4: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Katie Walker)
KIP SABIAN VS. CARA NOIR
Match four would see Cara Noir return to the ring against Kip Sabian. Since his return to the UK brand, this was by far Cara Noir's toughest opponent yet as Kip Sabian looked to work the legs of his opponent and trapped him in several different submissions throughout the match. Noir however would manage to survive these attacks before eventually he'd hit Sabian with a Brainbuster to pick up the much needed win!
Shepherd: and the winner of the match.. Cara Noir!
The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Cara Noir climbs to his feet in the ring. As Cara Noir has his arm raised in the air, we see Zack Gibson hop the barricade and look to jump Noir from behind. Cara however is wise to his trick and turns round and stares at Gibson. This leads to Gibson dropping off of the apron and backing his way up the ramp away from Noir. |
~ REALITY ~
Footage from earlier in the evening is then shown and it focuses on British Strong Style making their arrival to the building. Trent Seven seems to be laying down the law and strategy to his team mates ahead of their match tonight. While Millie McKenzie again seems the more receptive to Seven's ideas, but soon it doesn't take long for Seven and Tyler Bate to begin bickering. After some back and forth with Bate remarking that this is a team and Seven isn't the leader. We see both Seven and McKenzie walk into the building. Bate meanwhile is surprised to come face to face with Pete Dunne. Saying that he is not here to fight, Pete Dunne says that while they have their issues. Pete knows deep down that Tyler Bate can see what Trent Seven really is. Saying that while he and Bate are far from being friends, Dunne wants to help Millie and knows Bate can see the influence Seven is having on her. With that Dunne walks off leaving Bate to think about what he said. |
~ ANNOUNCEMENTS ~
From here the cameras direct us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. The WWE UK GM begins a series of announcements as he firstly confirms that in a grudge match for the WWE UK Showcase, Trent Seven will take on Pete Dunne! From here Ogogo follows by addressing next week's show as firstly he confirms that in singles action Raquel Lourenco will take on Eliza Alexander while he follows by telling Spike Trivet that he wants to meet with him in the ring to address his actions last week! |
~ WELCOME TO WONDERLAND *PART ONE* ~
Having been led to Wonderland but not by her choice, Xia Brookside walks through a long grassy maze as she hears constant calls sending her in various directions. Slowly Xia Brookside happens across "The White Rabbit" Jayde. The White Rabbit greets Xia warmly before she escorts her through the maze. During this walk, Xia asks exactly why she is here too which Jayde informs her, the queen has invited her for tea. With that as they come through the end of the maze, Xia stands in front of a tall castle like building. Here "The Red Queen" Isla Dawn stands with a big smile on her face as she welcomes her to Wonderland and her kingdom before asking her to follow her inside for tea. |
MATCH #5: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Tate Mayfairs)
Ahead of the introductions for the next match, Eddie Dennis steps forward in the ring with a microphone in his left hand while his right arm of course is still in a sling. Looking over at Gene Munny across the other side of the ring, Dennis smirks cockily before he begins to speak.
Eddie: Ladies and Gentleman, as many of you are aware. I tragically suffered an injury to my arm which has led me being medically unable to compete tonight or at Prelude. However being the man that I am, I couldn't leave everyone empty handed now. Which is why I have brought with me a replacement. So please join me in welcoming... HARRY SMITH!
HARRY SMITH VS. GENE MUNNY
Having had a last minute change of opponent, Gene Munny very much looked to go for broke in the early going against the much larger Harry Smith. While Munny's strikes may have been seemingly not that effective on Smith. To his credit Munny would manage to pick up a 2 count from the referee following a diving spear from the turnbuckle. This offence however would soon be shrugged off by Harry Smith who began to throw Munny across the canvas with several big suplexes. From here Smith then hit a big high angle saito suplex on Munny before clamping on a dragon sleeper for the submission.
Shepherd: And the winner of the match... Harry Smith!
As the announcement is made a smirking Eddie Dennis rolls into the ring. After getting his arm raised by the referee, Smith turns to Eddie Dennis who shakes his hand and pats his replacement on the shoulder. |
~ YOU DARE ~
Post show footage is then shown as the cameras focus on "The Total Diva" Jessi Kamea making her exit from the building. Kamea is angry having been attacked by Kanji a couple of weeks ago. The livid Kamea deems Kanji an uggo and a piece of trash who should know better than putting her hands on someone like her. Promising to make Kanji regret putting her hands on her. Jessi Kamea says that there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who are beautiful and successful like her and losers like Kanji. At the prelude, Kamea makes it clear she will highlight to the world who the loser is! |
~ ROYAL DECREE ~
Ahead of the next match of the night, the cameras take us to the Throne locker room where Maria Kanellis is standing by. Maria is far from happy as she as she begins to address the assault on her person at the hands of Session Moth Martina last week. Remarking that an attack on her queen is paramount to treason. Maria says that Martina will learn that actions have consequences at Prelude. As Maria has met with Anthony Ogogo earlier tonight and has gotten a match made at the Prelude. Maria closes out this promo by saying that Martina will become the latest to kneel before The Throne! |
MATCH #6: SIX PERSON TAG
(Referee: Darryl Sharma)
BRITISH STRONG STYLE (MILLIE MCKENZIE, TYLER BATE AND TRENT SEVEN) VS. NORTH WEST STRONG (ETHAN ALLEN, LUKE JACOBS AND RHIO)
Match six was of course six person tag team action as British Strong Style united to take on the trio of North West Strong. This would be quite a physical and hard hitting contest between the two teams. During this bout we would see a bit of a lack of cohesion on the British Strong Style side as not only did Tyler Bate seem unwilling to work with Trent Seven but it also seemed that Bate wasn't as approving of the more questionable tactics which Seven would employ. This included Seven actually taking a unneeded cheap shot on Rhio behind the referee's back which set up McKenzie putting her opponent away with a spear.
Shepherd: And the winners of the match... British Strong Style!
The crowd erupts into boos as the announcement is made and Millie McKenzie climbs to her feet. Joining Millie in the ring to celebrate this win is Trent Seven who makes the point of having Millie raise his arm in the air. Shaking his head on the apron, Tyler Bate soon walks backstage muttering that he doesn't want to win this way. |
~ IF YOU WILL ~
Having watched this match on his TV, Anthony Ogogo can only shake his head in disappointment before he looks over at Pete Dunne who is standing in his office. Dunne is far from impressed with what he has seen and says that he knows what he must do. Ogogo can only continue to shake his head while Pete Dunne asks Anthony Ogogo if now he has seen it also, will he give Pete Dunne what he wants. Albeit with some hesitation, Ogogo slowly nods his head and says that if Pete Dunne well and truly wants this then he will allow Pete Dunne to announce it next week! |
~ HONOR ~
Right ahead of the main event of the evening, the cameras take us to the hallway of the arena where the WWE UK Commonwealth Champion Kassius Ohno is standing by. Now aware of his shift in opponent for his match at Prelude. Kassius Ohno says that Harry Smith is a man who he has a lot of respect for. Praising his lineage and also his brutality in the ring. Ohno however says that he cannot help but express his disgust at Harry aligning himself by choice with a man like Eddie Dennis. Calling this a slap in the face to his legacy. Ohno promises that regardless of the change, he will be victorious at Prelude! |
MAIN EVENT: SINGLES MATCH
(Senor Official: Thomas Scarborough)
MATT TAVEN VS. ADAM BROOKS
The final bout of the night would of course be our second in the line of War Games advantage matches. With Joe Hendry's team being currently one up against The Throne, it seemed the pressure was very much on one of the Throne's more dangerous competitors Matt Taven. His opponent of course would be the high flying daredevil Adam Brooks and this bout would very much be a fast paced sprint. With both men really pulling out all the stops in this high paced clash, it seemed one misstep could be all it took and it was very much the case when Taven was able to raise his knees during a swanton attempt. This winded Brooks and allowed Taven to put him away with the Climax.
Shepherd: And the winner of the match Matt Taven!
The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Matt Taven climbs to his feet. The smug Taven then raises his arm in the air before the cameras cut backstage and show the smirking Throne watching on. |
Following a brief ad break, the cameras return to the ring for our final segment of the evening. This of course would be the weigh in for the WWE European Championship match at the upcoming showcase. Hosting the proceedings would be commentator John Gooden who welcomes the challenger Ashton Smith down to the ring first. Dressed casually in a t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms Ashton Smith appears to be all business on his way down to the ring despite being met with loud cheers from the audience in attendance. Once he was in the ring Ashton Smith removed his t-shirt and hopped on the scale. On the weigh in Smith would weigh in officially tonight at 200 pounds exactly. With this announcement made a fired up Smith let out a pumped up roar before stepping off of the scale. Once off of the scale, Smith would put his shirt back on and back into the corner while Gooden prepared his next introduction.
Too loud boos from the crowd, the WWE European Champion Gunther walked out from the back accompanied by his associate Nigel McGuinness. This duo would walk down to the ring and once near the ring itself, Gunther passed Nigel his WWE European Championship. With that Gunther would head into the ring and remove his black tracksuit jacket before climbing onto the scale. While officials would start to conduct the weigh in, a stoic Gunther just stared ahead while Ashton Smith had his eyes locked firmly on Gunther. The officials and Jon Gooden would then announce the champion as weighing in at 310 pounds. With that the Ring General stepped off of the scale and towards the center of the ring where Nigel presented him with his championship which the Ring General held high up in the air as the crowd in attendance would once again start to boo. From here, John Gooden would approach Ashton Smith and ask him how he was feeling going into their match at the Showcase despite the size differential. Saying his entire life story has been one of fighting against the odds and never backing down.
Ashton Smith says that he has climbed many mountains before in his life and he sees Gunther as no different then that. When asked about his personal feelings going into the bout, Ashton calls what happened to Rampage Brown just fuel to the fire as he pledges that Gunther will be beaten for the very first time since his arrival to the WWE UK Brand. These comments don't seem to impress Gunther who shakes his head dismissively while Nigel McGuinness confronts Gooden and Smith. Proclaiming Gunther's reign of dominance a never ending occurrence which will just have to be respected, accepted and recognized. Nigel says that children like Ashton Smith talk about all the hardship they've apparently endured as this makes them something special. Yet in reality the only ones who are special are those like Gunther who actually work to be the very best rather than dream about something they will never achieve!
Nigel then addresses the apparent wake of injuries that wrestlers have suffered in matches with Gunther as names such as Shelton Benjamin, Joseph Conners and Rampage Brown are mentioned. Calling this a battle of wills where the strong prosper and the weak crumble, Nigel McGuinness says that he and Gunther offer no apologies for any injuries dealt in this ring. As instead it is their way of weeding out the weak and undeserving. This comment appears to send Smith over the edge as he slaps the microphone away from Nigel and advances towards him. This causes Gunther to shove Smith back against the ropes. The Ring General then charges at Ashton who ducks under a big boot before he connects with a superkick to Gunther's jaw. The European Champion is reeling as a second kick follows and causes Gunther to stumble against the ropes. Smith then follows up with a third kick which sends Gunther tumbling through the middle rope and out to the floor where the European champion lands on his feet. With his associate Nigel McGuiness joining him, the livid Gunther looks on as Ashton Smith waves for him to come back in the ring as the show comes to a close!
