I don't know who has always been penned as the winner, but probably because Goldberg was always going to win.

No way was it decided to end your main event in two minutes and end your PPV 40 minutes early.

I'm not even mad about the match. I'm just sure WWE decided seeing Goldberg work more than a few minutes was suicide.
