Personally I think the fact that he keeps getting his ass handed to him and continues to come back gives him credibility.

Yes, that too. The fact that he knows full well that they're all against him and he still goes out and fights valiantly makes him a true hero. The more he gets beaten down, the more he perseveres. Storytelling 101 there.

Stone Cold is hands down the most absolutely overrated Superstar to come of the Attitude Era...IMO

and I give up trying to explain this shit and how this isn't making Bryan look bad...holy fuck...

Stone Cold was the Attitude Era.

I don't see how people think he looks bad either.

Is just the closest comparison I have now... I don't want him to be Stone Cold... but everyone has some sort of "knack" in them and from time to time you get one up on what ever is kicking your butt. I haven't seen that from the storyline yet. He needs at least one "good" night. That's all I think this is lacking. One night in which Bryan outsmarts his foes or simply puts himself in position to say... "I'm not falling for that anymore".

it's not falling for things it's him partaking in the matches he is told to do, Trips is his boss and DB is not gonna back down that's why he gets back up every week...

I guess it makes it look more real because he does keep getting beat down and that's what any normal guy would go through in that situation but it just irks me that Bryan can't get a hand in at all unless it's a part of a match.

He tried to attack Shield and Orton on SD but was unsuccessful. Okay that's fine. Then he just got his ass beat at the end of the show. Fuck, might as well have Show face Orton instead of Bryan.
That's also very important. The fans can relate to Bryan more than almost any other wrestler because of that very fact. They see themselves in the guy and when he finally succeeds it will be like they've won something as well.

Because he swore and drank beer and stunned the McMahon's and gave people the middle finger?

People shit on Hogan and Cena for the Super comebacks and hardly ever losing but Austin was just as bad....hell I think Cena has lost more the last year and a half then Austin did during his time on top...it was predictable and cookie cutter and really was my least favorite part of the Attitude Era

I think I might need to wait... Maybe if the can convince him... Shawn Michaels could make some sort of appearance at least talking or taking a side with Bryan. I don't know... something might be up their sleeve.

Well Michaels trained Bryan so they can always use that, but I don't think Bryan needs Michaels speaking for him or helping him out, at least not yet.

Or an Edge siding with him next week and making things fair for DB. Edge wasn't always the guy who won the matches he wanted and when he got where he was he did what ever it took to stay there, plus he can give DB some pointers on taking advantage to make the situation better for him.

I actually could see them having Michaels there to give him a pep talk and telling him what he needs to do then Michaels giving him sweet chin music to side with his buddy HHH.

I guess I can see that point of view.

When I'm not on my phone I'll give a more in depth answer. But if it wasn't for the Austin vs. McMahon rivalry there wouldn't have been a massive turn around in business for the WWF. That success immediately spun off into probably everything else you like from the era. And we wouldn't be reliving that EXACT angle right now with Triple H not thinking Bryan was good for the corporation to represent business.

That or they could have Michaels be the guy representing McMahon in the proposed match at WM.... I don't know... something might happen. There are many cards to play here.

It would have been done eventually nothing he did couldn't have been done by someone else. Also you are confusing me personally not liking Stone Cold to be not understanding the importance of his character. I do but tbh he was pretty much just a white version of Bad News Brown except he got the push and the fans got behind him because it was time for something like that..
