I wonder if we will get Ziggler vs Sheamus at Extreme Rules
Oh, we're getting it alright.
As announced on SmackDown last night, they'll be competing in a "Kiss Me Arse" match. Seriously.
Early thoughts on the announced matches...
Rollins vs. Orton (Steel Cage, RKO banned) - Should be a pretty solid affair until the overbooking kicks in. I was only half-joking in the other thread about Bray Wyatt interfering and costing Orton the match, I would not be shocked at all if they did something stupid like that.
John Cena vs. Rusev (Russian Chain Match) - A match that will seem pretty lame without blood, but still has some potential since they work well together. Not to mention, this will give Rusev a chance to get "knocked out" and give Cena the win, which should result in keeping both guys looking good.
Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett (IC Title) - They had a killer match at SummerSlam a couple of years back so this could easily steal the show. The problem? Bryan's health is in question so who knows how long they'll get. There's also a possibility that Bryan's going to need some more time off, which could mean they have Barrett go over here, which would essentially kill what they were trying to do with the belt.
Nikki Bella vs.
Paige Naomi - Ugh, who cares? Get the belt off of Nikki and maybe I'll be interested again.
Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler (Kiss Me Arse Match) - Ridiculous stipulation aside, this should be pretty good. Can't see Sheamus losing and they've gone back to giving zero fucks about Dolph so I guess we'll be seeing the show off with his face buried in Sheamus' butt. Why do we watch this shit again?
:
Roman Reigns vs. Big Show (Last Man Standing) - I'm probably the person who's most looking forward to this since the stipulation COULD provide us with a better than average match. Reigns has been a lot better lately and while he's fought Show a bunch of times before, the chance to see them pummel each other all over the building does seem appealing. This could honestly be way better than people are expecting.
All in all it seems a pretty solid card so far.
