Becky Lynch has had a banger of a 2019 so far as she won the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble.
Only to follow this up by challenging for the WWE RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 35. She would cap that off by defeating Ronda Rousey(c) to become the new champion, on an episode of MNR Rousey stated she would have her rematch at MITB.

Asuka began 2019 as WWE SD Women's Champion she lost the title to Charlotte Flair at Spring Stampede. Then she reclaimed the title in 2 out of 3 Falls match at WrestleMania 35, the now 2x champion issued an Open Challenge for the title at MITB.​

After Drew McIntyre(c) retained the WWE ICC against former champion Bobby Lashley on the Night After Mania episode of MNR. He would find himself the target of an attack of the other members of the Undisputed Era.

Which led to WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Breezango(c) to come to a rescue to even the odds before they were seperated by security. RAW GM Kurt Angle announced a six man non-title match for MITB, where if the Undisputed Era won they would get title matches at a later date.​

The final match announced for the WWE Money in the Bank pay per view event card was a one on one match for the WWE United States Championship. Between the current champion Shinsuke Nakamura(c) and the challenger and FNS newcomer Zack Ryder. The challenger earned this match by defeating Nakamura in a non-title Championship Eliminator match.​

Ruby Riot beat Alexa Bliss, Deonna Purrazzo, Ember Moon, Kay Lee Ray, Mandy Rose, Naomi and Nikki Cross. To win the 2019 Women's MITB Ladder Match.
Pre-recorded promos from WWE US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura(c) and Zack Ryder aired.
Zack Ryder beat Shinsuke Nakamura(c) to capture the WWE United States Championship. It looked like Nakamura would retain but a debuting Chelsea Green distracted the ref which led to Ryder hitting a low blow and rolling Nakamura up.

A video recapped the events that led to tonight's six man tag team match between WWE ICC Drew McIntyre and WWE RTTC Breezango and the Undisputed Era aired.
Undisputed Era beat WWE ICC Drew McIntyre & WWE RTTC Breezango in a Non-title six man tag team match. As a result they have earned themselves future Championship matches.
A -pre-recorded promo from WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Asuka(c) saw her state that NO ONE IS READY FOR ASUKA.
A debuting Rhea Ripley from NXT UK defeated Asuka(c), to become the new WWE SD Women's Champion - Ripley hit the Riptide for the win.
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy(c) vacated the title and said it was time to move onto bigger things.

Seth Rollins(c) beat Finn Balor with Paul Heyman by DQ to retain the WWE Universal Championship. Rollins seemingly had the match won but the Good Brothers came out and attacked him and helped Balor to beat him down.
A video package hyped up the WWE Stomping Grounds PPV
Becky Lynch(c) beat Ronda Rousey with the Bex-Ploder Suplex to Retain the WWE RAW Women's Championship.
Randy Orton attacked both Big E and Xavier Woods and yelled they were STUPID.
Kofi Kingston(c) beat Randy Orton with the Trouble in Paradise to Retain the WWE Championship.
Asuka confronted new WWE SD Women's Champion Rhea Ripley(c) and said she would see her at Stomping Grounds and Ripley said she was looking forward to it.
Adam Cole beat AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Daniel Bryan, Eric Young, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe. To win the 2019 Men's MITB Ladder match and closed out the show with the rest of the UE celebrating with him

At WrestleMania 35, Seth Rollins captured the WWE Universal Championship for the first time in his career. Then at Money in the Bank he faced the former champion Finn Balor in a rematch for the title. He seemed to have the match won it came to a sudden conclusion when the Good Brothers came out and attacked him.

RAW GM Kurt Angle announced a six man tag team match with WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins(c) and two partners against the newly reformed Balor Club for WWE Stomping Grounds.​

NXT UK standout Rhea Ripley made one hell of a main roster debut at the Money in the Bank ppv. What did she do? She beat the "Empress" in first match as part of the blue brand. Not only that but she won the WWE SD Women's Championship in the same match. A rematch was made official by SD GM Paige. ​

The group known as the Undisputed Era had certainly done a lot in a short time since joining the Monday Night RAW roster as part of the WWE Draft. The leader aka Adam Cole won the 2019 Men's MITB Ladder match. While the other three members, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong. Defeated the current WWE Intercontinental and WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, Drew McIntyre and Breezango(c) in a non-title match at the same event. Strong told McIntyre on an episode of MNR that he would see him at Stomping Grounds. McIntyre replied that he was in for the beating of a lifetime.

Like their UE stablemate Roderick Strong before them the duo of Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly earned a future shot at the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship at Money in the Bank. And just like Strong they told the current champions Breezango, that they would see them at Stomping Grounds.​
