*IT’S TIME*
Monday Night Raw starts after the usual introduction from Michael Cole and Elias with THE HURT BUSINESS marching out onto the entrance ramp. MVP leads the way with SAMOA JOE, LIO RUSH, CEDRIC ALEXANDER and SHELTON BENJAMIN all having their gold on show in crisp suits. SWERVE STRICKLAND and EJ NDUKA are also suited and booted on their way to the ring as Michael Cole says they now hold all but one of the major men’s titles on Raw: The Intercontinental title! Elias says there was controversy around how Lio Rush won the Cruiserweight title but he doesn’t think The Hurt Business will care.
The entire group steps into the ring in their crisp suits as MVP takes a microphone and looks to address the live crowd. He starts the promo with the signature catchphrase: We are the Hurt Business and Business is booming! This gets loud boos from the fans but the Hurt Business stays looking smug. MVP walks over to Lio Rush and gets him to raise his newly won Cruiserweight title into the air, showing it off to the live crowd. MVP says that he told everyone they were looking for more gold and they are not done yet.
MVP walks next to Swerve Strickland and points at him saying Swerve is just 13 nights away from adding the last title to the Hurt Business. Swerve asks for the microphone and MVP gives it to him. Swerve chuckles and tells the fans that you always save the best till last. Joe gives him an unimpressed look in the background but Swerve tells Sami that he was asked to do it the right way and tells the crowd the only right way is to become a champion. Swerve is about to carry on when…
*WORLDS APART*
SAMI ZAYN walks out onto the entrance ramp! Sami gets a loud pop from the fans in the crowd with the Intercontinental title wrapped around his waist. He points at the Hurt Business in the ring, focusing on Swerve telling him he has no plans to let the Hurt Business add even more gold to their collection. Sami tells the crowd he feels he has a duty to make sure the Intercontinental title stays around the waist of a champion who will defend the belt with honor.
Swerve laughs in sinister fashion saying he doesn’t care about honor and instead cares about winning. Joe steps forward taking the microphone from Swerve, getting a slight glance from him but the WWE Champion doesn’t care. Joe tells Sami what matters is holding the gold and keeping an iron grip on the belt. Sami shakes his head but Joe instead makes a challenge to him or anyone else to try to take this from him. Loud boos from the crowd but he soon gets an answer as…
*BROKEN DREAMS*
DREW MCINTYRE walks out joined by his close friend SHEAMUS! The crowd loudly cheers for the CELTIC CONNECTION as Drew McIntyre points at Samoa Joe in the ring looking pissed off. He tells Joe that after going to war with his best friend and a champion he is ready to get back his WWE title! The crowd are loudly behind him and want to see Drew hold the title once again but Joe disagrees, promising to do what it takes to destroy Drew one more time.
Drew McIntyre says he knows Joe will cheat again to try to keep that title so he spoke to his good friend Wade and a stipulation has been added to their match at Starrcade! Joe and MVP both look annoyed as Drew tells the WWE title match will now be a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH! The crowd pops huge for the big stipulation being added to the encounter. Sheamus borrows the microphone and says if any of The Hurt Business tries to get involved at Starrcade he is happy to kick their arse!
MVP tells Sheamus he should be minding his business as this doesn’t concern him. Sheamus shakes his head, pointing out his rivalry with the Ungovernables throughout the year and stopping them from taking them over the brand so now it is time for him to do the same to The Hurt Business! Shelton Benjamin takes the microphone and tells them he has been a part of several groups and there is none like this one. Cedric has the microphone now about to speak but then…
*BRING THE SWAG*
THE STREET PROFITS walk out onto the entrance ramp getting loud cheers from the crowd! MONTEZ FORD and ANGELO DAWKINS are way more serious than normal however as they immediately address the tag team champions asking why they didn’t cheap-shot them last week. Cedric smirks saying there was no need to because they aren’t championship material. The crowd boos loudly but Shelton takes back the microphone.
Shelton says he has seen teams throughout the years and knows what it takes to be a tag team champion. The Street Profits just don’t have what it takes. The boos get louder from the live crowd as Montez says those are fighting words and drops the microphone heading to the ring. Dawkins joins him as Drew looks at Sami and Sheamus who shrug as they get ready to fight The Hurt Business here and now until…
*GOD SAVE OUR QUEEN/END OF DAYS*
WADE BARRETT comes out in a suit with a microphone in hand! He gets a mixed reaction from the live crowd as he tells all of them to stop and that he doesn’t want his show to start with a mass brawl. He tells them to save it for the main event as it will be The Hurt Business taking on Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Sheamus and The Street Profits in a 10-man tag. Both groups stare each other down with the tension clear between them before Raw goes to an ad break!

MVP says he has and later tonight Rush will have his first Cruiserweight title defense against Ziggler as agreed! Rush has a cocky smirk whilst OMOS and EJ Nduka eye each other up.
MVP and Ziggler both tell their bodyguards to back off for the moment which they do as Rush tells Ziggler that he will leave everyone backstage if Ziggler does the same. He looks at OMOS and nods, shaking hands with Lio Rush. MVP says his clients are men of their word and it will be Lio Rush vs Dolph Ziggler for the Cruiserweight title with no one else at ringside. Ziggler says it was a pleasure doing business with them and walks away, making a big title match official for later on tonight!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*MORE THAN ONE MAN*
HEATH SLATER makes his way out to the ring getting a decent pop from the live crowd. The former tag team champion looks to hype himself up ahead of a rare singles match on Raw. Michael Cole says Heath’s tag team partner Rick Boogs is still out of action for several weeks after being punted by Randy Orton and Elias says a victory tonight could give Heath some momentum ahead of the Royal Rumble.
*I BRING THE DARKNESS/END OF DAYS*
BARON CORBIN makes his way out next getting his usual negative reaction from the live crowd. He walks to the ring and taunts the fans on the way to ringside, even making a point to taunt and wind up Elias on commentary as well. Michael tells Elias to keep his cool but Elias says he hopes Heath Slater kicks his ass! The referee rings the bell to get the opening match underway!
Match 1: Heath Slater vs Baron Corbin

Ilja mentions he was planning to fight the Ungovernables alone prompting a head shake from Dunne. Pete says he wants to snap the fingers of Angel for what he did to him so they are teaming up tonight. Ilja nods as Dunne nods back and leaves Ilja to his work-out confirming a team-up later tonight!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to the backstage area with THE MIZ walking through the back before being stopped by CATHY KELLEY who looks to interview the A-Lister! She asks him about his rivalry with Tommaso Ciampa and wants to know when Miz is going to get his hands on the former NXT Champion. Miz takes a breath, heated about what happened to him as of late but says he spoke to Wade Barrett and he gets his chance to get payback for everything Ciampa has done next week!
He talks about never being a fighter and also being mocked for being soft but when you invoke his family, he can’t let that lie. He says Ciampa has tried to end his career and made jokes about his wife and kids so next week he is challenging him to a STREET FIGHT! Loud cheers from the live crowd for the big match next week as Miz promises to bring out every trick he has to teach Tommaso Ciampa a lesson.

When we return from the commercial break, we see TOMMASO CIAMPA sitting backstage on a steel chair with the back facing the camera. He leans on the back of it and says he heard Miz’s interview. He says Miz wants to take him on in a street fight. Ciampa laughs evilly and says if Miz truly wanted him to end his career, he didn’t have to make it so easy for him. He promises next week The Miz is going to find out what happens when you get in his way promising to destroy him and move on to the real top stars of Raw.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We see TYLER BATE and TRENT SEVEN hanging out in a park in Peaky Blinders-style outfits. Trent says they are happy to let Pete Dunne take care of his own personal business because it allows them to focus on some of their own. Tyler says he has had his eyes on holding Cruiserweight gold for the 2nd time but this time on Monday Night Raw. Tyler says he spoke to Wade Barrett and next week on Monday Night Raw there will be a number one contender’s match with the winner fighting for the Cruiserweight title on the Starrcade pre-show.
Trent has a smirk on his face and says he meanwhile has his eyes on the Intercontinental title instead. Tyler says Sami already has a title match lined up which Trent nods in agreement with and says he knows but there are other ways to get yourself into the title picture. He says he spoke to Wade Barrett as well and next week he will take on Swerve Strickland. He says beating the number one contender for the Intercontinental title should put him at the front of the line.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE BRIAN KENDRICK waits in the ring getting a small number of boos from the live crowd as he waits for…
*#MMMGORGEOUS*
TYLER BREEZE walks out with a selfie stick in hand and is joined by his tag team partner FANDANGO! The duo poses with the fans in the front row getting decent cheers from the live crowd. Michael Cole says Tyler Breeze and Fandango are still chasing their first-ever gold in WWE. *VOICES*
RANDY ORTON slowly walks onto the entrance ramp and soaks in the nuclear heat from the live crowd. Randy revels in the boos from the fans, showing no remorse for punting Stone Cold Steve Austin in the skull last week. Michael Cole and Elias bring up that Randy is normally beloved by these fans and even his most heinous actions get excused but not this time. They confirm that Stone Cold Steve Austin is still in hospital as we speak thanks to the actions of Randy Orton.
Randy Orton steps into the middle of the ring with a microphone in his hand. He walks around the ring for a little bit, with a smirk on his face. The heat is loud as Orton teases speaking but stops himself to soak in the boos a little bit more from the crowd. He finally gets ready to talk as he looks at the fans and asks why they are surprised. He smirks to himself looking smug and proceeds to tell the fans he was just doing what he has done throughout his career… killing legends!
He tells the crowd this is what he would do week in and week out when he first came to the WWE to make a name for himself. He scoffs and looks at the crowd wondering if he had maybe lost his edge so last week he saw a chance to prove he had not lost anything when he saw Stone Cold out in that ring. Randy says the time for legends is over because he is the last legend standing on Raw! The boos get even louder from the live crowd but Orton doesn’t care.
He paces around the ring saying it is about time he gets back to where he belongs, the main event of WrestleMania. Orton says he should be handed title shots due to his legacy as a 13-time World Champion but his win-loss record has kept him out of the WWE title picture so he needs to look elsewhere. Randy reminds the crowd he is a two-time Royal Rumble and he is declaring his intentions to be a three-time next year promising to win the Royal Rumble bringing the promo to an end as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, RANDY ORTON is walking back through the backstage area with a cocky smirk on his face before being confronted by THE NEW DAY! Orton doesn’t back down as KOFI KINGSTON comes face to face with his long-term rival. Kofi says Orton truly never changes, does he? Orton smirks and says the only change that happened is he went soft, hence losing to him inside Hell in a Cell last year. The same would not happen again.
Kofi tells Randy that if they had not left the arena after speaking to Stone Cold last week all of them would have kicked his ass. Orton then eyes up the Money in the Bank briefcase in Big E’s hands. BIG E tells him to look up here and Kofi gets in his face ready for a fight. Kofi challenges Orton to a match at Starrcade promising to put him in his place and avenge Stone Cold. Randy smirks, accepting the challenge and promising to make up for last year’s mistakes.

*HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD*
DOLPH ZIGGLER makes his way out getting boos from the live crowd. The former Cruiserweight Champion has a smug smirk on his face, happy to be getting a chance to win back the title he lost at King of the Ring. Michael Cole says that must have been why he cost Mustafa Ali the match bringing up the stipulation from their steel cage match meaning Ziggler could not challenge for the belt whilst Ali held it. Elias wonders if he has made a deal with the devil by working with The Hurt Business.
*I CAME TO COLLECT*
LIO RUSH makes his way out to loud boos from the crowd. That doesn’t stop Lio from being cocky on his way to the ring and showing off his new Cruiserweight title. Michael Cole says he might not have liked how Lio won it but he is a worthy champion. Elias agrees that Lio has the skill to be at the top of the Cruiserweight division but may need to tone his arrogance down whilst champion. Both men stand in the ring and after the usual announcements, the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway.
Match 3: Cruiserweight title: Lio Rush © vs Dolph Ziggler
Match summary: Both men start the match off at a slow pace with them feeling each other out. Once the feeling-out stage is over Lio Rush works at a fast pace and flies off the ropes, potentially out-showing the show-off. Ziggler tries to keep him grounded but Lio Rush moves too fast for him to keep up with. The match is starting to heat up as Ziggler and Rush also start to try to out-cheat the other until… MUSTAFA ALI RUNS OUT FROM THE CROWD WITH A STEEL CHAIR ATTACKING BOTH MEN CAUSING A NO-CONTEST!

Wade Barrett says he respects why Mustafa Ali did what he did and he can’t deny that when he was a WWE superstar he wouldn’t have done the same thing.
Wade says as the commissioner for Monday Night Raw he cannot be seen to be allowing the inmates to run the asylum. Mustafa Ali nods and Wade Barrett says that he needs to punish Ziggler for his actions as well. He tells Mustafa Ali that at Starrcade he and Dolph Ziggler will fight each other in an I QUIT MATCH! Ali smiles happy to inflict punishment on Ziggler but Wade makes it clear that after Starrcade this needs to be the end of the issue once and for all. If not he will fire both of them. Ali nods in agreement before we cut back to the ring.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*WE RIOT*
RUBY RIOTT makes her way out to the ring getting boos from the live crowd. She is joined by her tag team partner as of late SHOTZI BLACKHEART! Michael Cole says competition is growing within the Women’s division with a lot of women feeling overlooked due to the Horsewomen versus Horsewomen war. Elias mentions with it being over, the title picture might open back up for more women to make their mark.
*THE CULLING*
PIPER NIVEN walks out onto the entrance ramp getting cheers from the live crowd, joined by her veteran tag team partner MELINA! She has the red carpet laid out for Piper Niven as Michael Cole brings up how close she came to dethroning Shayna Baszler a few months ago and Elias wonders if Melina can guide her to her first gold in the WWE. Piper steps into the ring as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!
Match 4: Piper Niven w/Melina vs Ruby Riott w/Shotzi Blackheart
Match summary: Piper uses her size to her advantage as he overpowers Ruby Riott and tosses her around the ring. Ruby tries to use her experience as a veteran to wear down the larger foe and bring her down to the mat before Piper is too much size-wise. Shotzi even at the end tries to get involved to help Ruby BUT MELINA TAKES CARE OF HER AT RINGSIDE! This allows Piper to put Ruby Riott away with the SCOT DROP!
Winner via pinfall: Piper Niven (6:17)
Piper gets to her feet and is soon joined in the ring by Melina who raises her arm into the air, celebrating the victory with her tag team partner. Ruby Riott licks her wounds in the ring with Shotzi checking on her friend whilst Raw goes on a commercial break.

Tom responds that Dolph should be happy because at Starrcade he will be fighting Mustafa Ali in an I Quit match!
Ziggler’s face drops as he asks Tom to repeat himself. Tom does exactly that repeating Wade Barrett has signed off on an I Quit match for Starrcade. Ziggler gets to his feet, stepping away from his bodyguard in shock. Tom asks what Ziggler thinks of that match and it takes Ziggler a while to compose himself before putting on some false bravado and says he has never quit anything in his life, promising to end the career of Mustafa Ali at Starrcade!

*INVASION*
GOLDBERG makes his way out to the ring, without his normal entrance since tonight he is just here to talk. He gets a loud pop from the live crowd even after his cheap shot on Big E a few weeks ago. Michael Cole confirms the two men will collide in a dream match for Big E but wonders if it could turn into a nightmare for him. Elias says we have seen the raw power and destruction Goldberg is capable of. He says Big E is powerful in his own right but Goldberg is a force of nature.
Goldberg walks to the middle of the ring in jeans and a leather jacket as he gets ready to address the live crowd. He looks to the fans and makes a slightly sarcastic comment about all he heard the last 2 weeks was anger for what he did but it seems the fans here still love him. He smirks to himself before asking what did the fans expect him to do. He says he has always been about one thing, crushing anything that gets in his path almost like a Juggernaut!
He tells the crowd that he was doing Big E a favor when he laid him out two weeks ago because he reminded him that he needs to be tough to make it to the top. Goldberg points at himself and says when he made it to the top of WCW he had no friends. He tore through groups by himself needing no one’s help. He tells the fans Big E needs to understand that strength comes from yourself and within. He proceeds to call the New Day losers and says Big E is being dragged down by people like Xavier Woods. Goldberg is about to carry on when…
*NEW DAY, NEW WAY*
THE NEW DAY walk out onto the entrance ramp! BIG E leads the way with a microphone in his hand and on the other hand his New Day-themed Money in the Bank briefcase. XAVIER WOODS and KOFI KINGSTON follow behind Big E who points at Goldberg. He tells the legend he can say and talk about him all he wants but he better keep Woods’s name out of his mouth. Goldberg scoffs as Big E rolls into the ring and gets face to face with Goldberg telling him he means it.
Neither man backs down but Goldberg smiles telling Big E that is the exact problem. He is too focused on others and not focused enough on himself. He backs away a little bit and points at Kofi Kingston. He asks Big E if he thinks Kofi was thinking about him and his battles whilst fighting to become WWE Champion. Kofi argues with Goldberg saying he would not have been a success without Big E and Woods having his back, bringing up the famous gauntlet match where they earned his WrestleMania 35 title match.
Goldberg shakes his head saying Kofi needed help from his friends to get better but when it came down to the top prize, his sole focus was Daniel Bryan. He points at Woods telling Big E that until Woods overcomes his own confidence issues, Big E is stuck holding his hand. Big E tells Goldberg to watch his mouth but Goldberg doesn’t back down and even dares Big E to make him. Big E is ready to throw hands but WOODS STOPS HIM AND STEPS UP TO GOLDBERG INSTEAD!
Xavier tells Goldberg he is getting tired of people talking about him in an attempt to get to Big E. Goldberg just smiles and tells Woods to do something about it. Woods then challenges Goldberg to a match next week to a loud pop from the live crowd. Goldberg seems a bit taken aback by that but gives Woods credit for stepping up. He looks to Big E and tells him to watch closely, you might make it to the top. Woods doesn’t take this well and SPINS GOLDBERG AROUND! Woods tells Goldberg his eyes are on whose next but Woods will prove why there is no weak link in the no day!

MARINA SHAFIR and JESSAMYN DUKE back up the other two women ahead of the 8-woman tag. Michael Cole calls them a formidable unit but we are seeing cracks in their armor. *ALL HAIL THE QUEEN*
CHARLOTTE FLAIR walks out onto the entrance ramp getting her usual loud mixed reaction from the live crowd. It is still mostly cheers as she looks to take down the MMA Horsewomen still. Match 5: The MMA Horsewomen (Shayna Baszler, Natalya, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke) vs Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley and Team Kick
Match summary: In the early stages of the match, the babyface team takes control of the match overwhelming the MMA Horsewomen with power and strikes, not allowing them to get any room to overwhelm them. Eventually, Shayna takes control using the lack of teamwork experience between Charlotte and Dakota Kai as they start to pick her apart on the mat and work over her limbs, keeping her trapped in the corner of the ring before we get to the closing stages of the match.
