Thanks :). It is something I think WWE should have done sooner and quite glad they are doing in real life. Especially places like Down Under and the UK

Dana Brooke turning heel...about time

Aiden English is a Church of Rollins member so to see him on Main Event I almost expected to see his stablemates show up

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The opening video for Monday Night Raw finishes as we pan around the arena and the commentary team welcomes us to Monday Night Raw! The commentary team gives us a rundown of the following matches later in the night:

  • Number one contender’s fatal 4-way match: Mustafa Ali vs Dolph Ziggler vs Pete Dunne vs Akira Tozawa
  • Baron Corbin vs Kallisto
  • Number one contender’s match for the IC title: The Miz vs Xavier Woods
  • Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland vs Samoa Joe
  • Number one contender’s triple threat tag team match: Mustache Mountain vs Breezango vs The One Twos
  • Dakota Kai vs Franky Monet
  • And the main event: Number one contender’s match for the Universal title: Sheamus vs Randy Orton

But to start the show we are getting an Intercontinental title match!

A decent pop from the live crowd as RICOCHET walks out onto the stage with a smile on his face and he is wearing special Prince Puma theme attire tonight, a nice call back to his Lucha Underground days. He sprints to the ring as the commentary team put over some of the performances Ricochet had last year but he is yet to hold singles gold on Raw or Smackdown since he was called up just before Wrestlemania 35.

A smug JOHN MORRISON walks out onto the entrance ramp and does the slow-motion pose which annoys the crowd. The champion is soon joined by his wife FRANKY MONET and his bodyguard ERICK ROWAN giving him the numbers advantage. The commentary team reminds us this is John’s first title defense since winning the belt back at Judgment Day. Elias also points out how vital Franky and Rowan were in Morrison winning the title. Once in the ring, John is very dismissive of Ricochet but the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway.

Match 1: Intercontinental title match: John Morrison © w/Franky Monet and Erick Rowan vs Ricochet
Match summary: The match right from the start is fast-paced with both men showing off their skills as high-fliers. John Morrison shows off what he was known for but Ricochet manages to one-up him at every turn pissing the champion off. In one spot John looks to leap off the barricade but RICOCHET DUCKS UNDERNEATH MATRIX STYLE! Morrison lands on his feet but RICOCHET LEAPS BACK HITTING A POISON RANA ONTO THE RING FLOOR!

Ricochet grabs Morrison and rolls him into the ring as Rowan charges in but Ricochet slides underneath! Ricochet then leaps off a charging FRANKY MONET ONTO THE SHOULDER OFF ERICK ROWAN AND CROSSBODIES JOHN MORRISON INSIDE THE RING! Insane cheers from the crowd for Ricochet’s insane athleticism. Ricochet starts to dominate the match and even looks like he might win this early until FRANKY DISTRACTS THE REFEREE ALLOWING ROWAN TO CLOCK RICOCHET SLOWING HIM RIGHT DOWN!

John Morrison starts to work over Ricochet, using his superior size to the Cruiserweight, showing a different style from normal. John talks trash and even at one point FRANKY SLAPS RICOCHET IN THE FACE AS MORRISON DISTRACTS THE REFEREE! In the closing stages, Ricochet makes a fight back and looks to go for the 630 SENTON… ROWAN DISTRACTS THE REFEREE! Franky appears behind Ricochet and trips him up stunning him on the top rope as John Morrison follows up with a SPANISH FLY OFF THE TOP ROPE! John Morrison makes the cover picking up the win and retaining his title!

Winner via pinfall and still Intercontinental Champion: John Morrison (12:52)

Loud boos from the crowd as John Morrison taunts the fans who are clearly not happy with how he defeated Ricochet in this match. His wife joins him in the ring and they have a make-out session whilst Rowan kicks Ricochet out of the ring sending him under the bottom rope. Michael Cole criticizes John Morrison for how he retained his title but Elias says you have to do what you got to do to keep the title sometimes. The celebrations carry on in the ring as commentary wonders who will face John Morrison at Armageddon whilst we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we see TEAM KICK standing next to each other backstage staring at the camera looking pissed off.

Dakota Kai:
Ronda, Shayna.

Kai turns to Tegan.

Dakota Kai:
Do you remember the other two’s names?

Tegan Nox: Do they even matter?

Dakota shrugs before turning back to the camera.

Dakota Kai: You had to attack us from behind to take us down but that’s the thing.

Tegan Nox: When we get knocked down, when things go wrong.

Dakota Kai: We get back up.

Tegan Nox:
And we will be coming for you.

Dakota Kai: Not just the tag team titles, we both want the Women’s Universal title.

Tegan Nox: Dakota might have got to end your reign in NXT but now it’s my turn and when she takes care of Monet, our eyes are focused on you two!

Team Kick fist-bump each other before walking off as they bring the promo to an end. We then cut elsewhere backstage…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As THE UNGOVERNABLES are shown backstage in their own locker room with ANDRADE CIEN ALMAS standing in front of everyone in a crisp white suit next to ZELINA VEGA next to him in a fancy dress. CESARO and ILJA DRAGUNOV are sitting next to each other whilst ANGEL GARZA makes out with EVA MARIE in the background. Their leader clears his throat getting the entire group’s attention.

Andrade Cien Almas: Listen, we need to take care of Brock Lesnar.

Cesaro looks unimpressed whilst Angel and Ilja nod listening to the leader.

Andrade Cien Almas: That man has disrespected us and he is not worthy of fighting me. He is a perro!

Cesaro:
So you should be able to handle him yourself then?

A snide remark from the Swiss Superman which prompts Andrade to pull down his sunglasses unimpressed.

Andrade Cien Almas:
What did you say?

Cesaro stays seated and rolls his eyes.

Cesaro: If he is a perro as you put it, surely you can handle him yourself?

Andrade walks over to Cesaro who gets to his feet as they stare each other down.

Cesaro: I didn’t join The Ungovernables to be your lackey. I joined to win titles.

Cesaro makes a point to hold his World tag team title in the air.

Cesaro: And my focus…

He looks at Ilja.

Cesaro: Our focus is going to be on defending these titles.

He then turns to Angel on the sofa who is still playing with Eva Marie.

Cesaro: And if Angel could detach himself from Eva’s lips…

Oh, that got Angel’s attention (and annoyed Eva Marie too)!

Cesaro: He has his Cruiserweight title to defend.

Cesaro looks Andrade up and down.

Cesaro: You are the only one without a title. Maybe you need to step your game up.

Andrade looks ready to fight as Zelina backs him away and Angel chimes in.

Angel Garza: Hey Cesaro, just because your wife ain’t as good-looking as mine does…

Cesaro: Angel, I know enough submissions to bend your body so it can never kiss a woman again. Be quiet.

Cesaro upon threatening Angel turns back to Andrade but Zelina speaks first.

Zelina Vega: Cesaro, that is enough. I will not stand for bickering between my clients. This stops now.

Andrade though has something to say.

Andrade Cien Almas: We help each other take over and you all have the gold. We need to work together to make Brock pay.

Cesaro looks to speak but bites his tongue as Zelina speaks.

Zelina Vega: Andrade, you don’t need help from them to teach Brock a lesson. Cesaro is right. They have titles to defend.

Andrade looks furious but Zelina puts her hand on his shoulder.

Zelina Vega: Trust me. I have a plan.

Andrade looks confused before following Zelina elsewhere to discuss her plan for Brock Lesnar whilst Cesaro shakes his head leaving the room. Ilja goes to follow him but Angel stops him.

Angel Garza:
Leave him. Let him cool off.

Ilja Dragunov: On byl prav.

A sharp angry tone from Ilja who goes to sit down and shakes his head. Angel looks at Eva confused before shrugging as they carry on making out and the show goes to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see CESARO walking through the back, still pissed off after his chat with Andrade backstage. However he soon bumps into his former tag team partner SHEAMUS!

Cesaro: Not right now.

Sheamus scoffs and smiles slightly.

Sheamus: Too busy being Andrade’s lapdog?

Cesaro who had walked away from Sheamus stops and turns back around to confront the Celtic Warrior.

Cesaro: I have never been and never will be anyone’s lapdog.

Sheamus:
Whatever you say, fella. Listen I’ve got a main event to prepare for so you carry on convincing yourself you are not…

Cesaro: Or how about next week I remind you why we ended up as a team.

Sheamus smiles.

Sheamus: You wanna fight?

Cesaro glares at him not saying a word giving Sheamus a clear answer.

Sheamus: Alright fella, we’ll have a fight for old times' sake and maybe you can remember that you weren’t just setting the Bar, you were…

Cesaro: I remember exactly who I was. It’s you who’ve forgotten who you are speaking to.

Cesaro storms off elsewhere as we cut back to the ringside area as commentary prepares us for the next match!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*STRAWBERRY MOON*

A decent pop from the live crowd as AKIRA TOZAWA makes his way out to the ring joined by TITUS O’NEIL! His tag team partner wishes him luck and even hypes him up with his weird seal chant whilst Akira slaps hands with a few fans shouting AHA. The commentary team reminds us he is a two-time Cruiserweight Champion: Once on Raw and once on NXT so could pose a big threat to Angel Garza if he wins tonight.

A loud pop from the live crowd as PETE DUNNE walks onto the entrance ramp. He is joined by TRENT SEVEN and TYLER BATE in tweed-style jackets as they nod at Pete before he heads to the ring with a focused look. The commentary team brings up the nickname for Pete Dunne and that whilst he doesn’t wrestle like a traditional Cruiserweight, he poses a massive threat to the rest in this match and could twist Angel’s limbs in many different ways.

Another pretty decent reaction from the live crowd as DOLPH ZIGGLER walks out onto the entrance ramp. He does his usual booty shake at the top of the entrance ramp but there is a sense he is still in a bad mood after his recent clashes with Mustafa Ali leading to brawls to the back. Commentary reminds us of all the titles Ziggler has won in his career but he has never been a Cruiserweight Champion. Could tonight earn him another shot at that title?

Loud cheers from the crowd as MUSTAFA ALI walks onto the stage as he looks focused. He looks at the ring, focusing on his recent rival Dolph Ziggler before heading down the ramp. Once Mustafa Ali steps into the ring, he and Dolph Ziggler are only paying attention to each other until…

Boos from the live crowd as ANGEL GARZA and EVA MARIE walk out onto the top of the entrance ramp. The duo taunt the crowd and make out with each other before heading to the commentary desk getting the attention of Mustafa Ali. The referee would meanwhile call for the bell to get this underway… GIVING ZIGGLER THE CHANCE TO ATTACK ALI FROM BEHIND whilst Pete Dunne and Akira Tozawa collide!

Match 2: Number one contender’s fatal 4-way match for Cruiserweight title at Armageddon: Mustafa Ali vs Dolph Ziggler vs Pete Dunne vs Akira Tozawa

Match summary: Ziggler starts to get a bunch of boos from the crowd for the cheap attack but he is more focused on winning this match than the fans. Pete Dunne meanwhile looks to use his submissions and stomps to put away Akira quickly but Dolph Ziggler after taking care of Ali goes after Pete Dunne. Dunne fires off a bunch of forearms and even teases snapping the fingers of Dolph Ziggler but the veteran has it scouted, desperately getting away from the Bruiserweight!

The match is very chaotic with all 4 men getting their chance to shine as Angel Garza is asked for his thoughts on the competitors in the ring. He reminds us he has already faced Mustafa Ali and Dolph Ziggler beating both of them at the same time in the middle of the ring so why should he have to face them again? He then speaks about Akira being the past of the Cruiserweights division and then gets to Pete Dunne showing some notable fear as Eva Marie reminds him about his proneness to snap fingers.

In the closing stages of the match, it breaks down into effectively a singles match as once again the issues between Dolph Ziggler and Mustafa Ali blow up! The two men end up out of the ring and BRAWL TO THE BACK AWAY FROM THE MATCH! Back in the ring, Akira tries to take down Pete Dunne with a series of kicks but Dunne grabs hold of his leg and slams him down. Pete then gets Akira up and hits him with the BITTER END! Dunne makes the cover and picks up the win advancing to Armageddon!

Winner via pinfall: Pete Dunne (10:19)

Cheers from the live crowd as Pete Dunne gets to his feet and celebrates the victory on tonight’s Raw. The commentary team asks Angel for his thoughts and Garza doesn’t look excited at the prospect of facing the Bruiserweight. Dunne in the ring makes his intentions clear and signals he is going to snap Garza’s fingers as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, MUSTAFA ALI and DOLPH ZIGGLER are still brawling through the backstage area. The two men are hammering on each other and looking to beat the shit out of each other! We see the security appear again and pull these two apart but the issues between these two are clearly far from over!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut elsewhere backstage as RENEE YOUNG is standing ready for an interview!

Renee Young:
Tonight has been action-packed from the start and there is more to come!

Cheap pop from the live crowd.

Renee Young: And right now I have one-half of the number one contender’s match for the Intercontinental title later tonight, THE MIZ!

THE MIZ walks into the shot with a cheesy smile in a nice suit and is wearing a pair of sunglasses, pulling them up as he looks at Renee.

The Miz: Thanks Renee and tonight I get the chance to…

Before he can say a word ERICK ROWAN CLOBBERS HIM FROM BEHIND! Erick Rowan lays into him with a series of punches to the head before picking him as he tosses Miz into the wall behind him! Miz slides down it as JOHN MORRISON RUNS IN AND HITS HIM WITH A JUMPING KNEE SLAMMING HIM INTO THE WALL AS WELL! John stands over him and smirks holding the Intercontinental over him!

John Morrison: You will never hold this title again!

He gets up as Erick Rowan grabs hold of him and lifts him up hitting the IRON CLAW SLAM ONTO THE CONCRETE FLOOR! Miz is in pain and more damage looks to be done until security finally appears to stop it (having been busy with Ziggler and Ali)! They pull Rowan and Morrison away as we then see THE MMA HORSEWOMEN walk past the carnage! The commentary team then informs us we shall hear from the MMA Horsewomen next!

*KILL ‘EM ALL*

Nuclear heat from the live crowd as THE MMA HORSEWOMEN walk onto the stage with smug looks on their faces. RONDA ROUSEY and SHAYNA BASZLER are in the middle with their WWE Women’s tag team titles around their waist and Shayna has the Women’s Universal title over her shoulder. JESSAMYN DUKE and MARINA SHAFIR stand to the side of them flanking the duo as the commentary team reminds us what happened on last week’s Raw! The group slowly walks to the ring and soon stand in the middle as they look to address the live crowd.

Ronda Rousey: You can keep booing but you need to get used to it!

That further pisses off the fans bringing a smile to Ronda’s face.

Ronda Rousey: We sent the message on Smackdown but in case you missed it…

Shayna steps forward and lifts her Women’s Universal title into the air showing it off to the crowd.

Ronda Rousey: Shayna ended Beth’s little fairy tale!

Boos from the crowd as Shayna is passed the microphone as she looks to speak.

Shayna Baszler:
And all because Becky crowned her.

The crowd starts to chant for Becky which winds the duo up but Shayna takes a deep breath.

Shayna Baszler:
This is the start of a new era and this is the start of us dominating the entire women’s division!

Ronda Rousey:
Past, present and future. It doesn’t matter who you are but this is our division now and no one can stop us from…

A massive mixed reaction from the live crowd as CHARLOTTE FLAIR walks out with a microphone in her hand. It is a lot more positive than normal, probably due to who she is facing off against in the ring.

Charlotte Flair: Shayna I just wanted to say congratulations on finally winning the title.

Charlotte says it with as much patronization as possible as Shayna and Ronda glare at her.

Charlotte Flair:
I mean when I won my first title on Raw didn’t take me that long…

She thinks for a second.

Charlotte Flair: And I didn’t need to pounce on someone mid-match but congratulations all the same.

Very insincere from Charlotte.

Charlotte Flair: Making sure we couldn’t stop Shayna and your lackeys was smart I’ll give you some credit.

Charlotte is no longer smiling as she looks back at the ring.

Charlotte Flair: But now, well Shayna you have a target on your back.

Shayna seems unfazed but Charlotte smiles.

Charlotte Flair: And after I get done with the person actually in charge…

Charlotte points at Ronda which makes Shayna furious.

Charlotte Flair:
I’m doing what I do best and winning that…

Shayna Baszler:
Let me make one thing clear Charlotte!

Shayna has walked forward and leans over the ropes pointing at Charlotte.

Shayna Baszler:
This is an equal partnership between me and Ronda!

Ronda nods agreeing with Shayna.

Shayna Baszler: And whilst I hold this, you no longer have a stranglehold on this division! It is our division and we ain’t finished taking over it!

Ronda Rousey: And Charlotte, you want to fight me? That’s fine because all of us want to fight you.

Charlotte remains stoic even though she is facing a 4 on 1 beatdown.

Ronda Rousey: You have no friends, no allies so who is coming to help you?

Charlotte smiles.

Charlotte Flair:
You’re right Ronda. It’s lonely at the top.

She puts a finger up pausing for a moment.

Charlotte Flair: I don’t have a friend but I do know at least two people who hate you and want payback for last week.

Charlotte drops the microphone as she waits for a moment…

NATALYA walks out onto the stage as Ronda sends the goons down the ramp after them but Charlotte and Natalya move out of the way as they come up the entrance ramp because…

NIA JAX storms out still getting boos from the crowd as she is that unlikeable. She charges down the ramp and clatters Duke and Shafir! Charlotte and Natalya smirk as Nia finishes beating down the goons heading to the ring with them. Ronda and Shayna see they are about to face a 3 on 2 fight and FLEE OUT OF THE RING HEADING THROUGH THE CROWD TO ESCAPE! The crowd boos the cowardice of the MMA Horsewomen after all their trash talk but they don’t care as they escape leaving Charlotte, Natalya and Nia Jax daring them to come back whilst the show cuts to a commercial break.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ad break
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we return from the commercial break, we can see NIA JAX walking through the back when she is stopped by CHARLY CARUSO!

Charly Caruso: Nia, can I get a quick word?

Nia shrugs and walks over to Charly.

Charly Caruso:
Normally you prefer acting alone, why did you help Charlotte and Natalya just now?

Nia smiles.

Nia Jax: It’s simple Charly. I wanted payback on the MMA Horsewomen.

She stops smiling and looks serious.

Nia Jax: They took my chance at becoming champion. I was going to get my hands on the title once again…

Ignoring the fact Beth was about to hit the Glam Slam last week Nia…

Nia Jax: But Shayna came in and stole what should have been my moment. So I’m making sure they pay. Next week, Wade Barrett has given a title match one on one with Shayna Baszler!

A big announcement for next week’s show!

Nia Jax: And then, I won’t be helping anyone. No I will destroy everyone in my path.

Nia looks over and gets annoyed.

Nia Jax:
What did you want?

The camera pans over to show PIPER NIVEN smirking as she stands across from Nia Jax.

Piper Niven: And here I thought you might be turning over a new leaf there Nia.

Nia rolls her eyes as Piper carries on.

Piper Niven: But if you do win that title, we’ll be seeing each other real soon.

Piper walks off as Nia shakes her head as we cut back to the ringside area for the next match on tonight’s show.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A decent pop from the live crowd as KALISTO walks out onto the entrance ramp. He fires up the crowd before walking over to a few kids in the front row as he touches masks with them before heading to the ring. The commentary team reminds us how this match was made, Baron Corbin was mocking the Cruiserweights and Kalisto challenged him to this match tonight.

Loud boos from the crowd as BARON CORBIN walks out with a snarl on his face. He taunts the crowd before slowly walking around the ring. Elias on commentary fires off a bunch of insults about Corbin whilst he mocks the injury Elias is still recovering from. Baron Corbin climbs into the ring as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 3: Baron Corbin vs Kalisto

Match summary: A short match as Kalisto tries to use his speed to take down the larger opponent in Baron Corbin but the power is too much for him for the majority of the match. Corbin talks a lot of trash and even taunts Elias at ringside proving to be his downfall! He lifts Kalisto up for THE END OF DAYS… BUT KALISTO REVERSES HITTING SALIDA DEL SOL! Kalisto makes the cover and picks up a massive upset win!

Winner via pinfall: Kalisto (5:43)

The crowd goes wild, always happy to see Baron Corbin lose as Kalisto heads out of the ring and high-fives Elias at the top of the ramp at the commentary desk before carrying on his celebration with the fans at ringside! In the ring, Baron Corbin argues with the referee and throws a temper tantrum, in shock at losing this match. He even goes outside the ring and kicks the steel steps amusing Elias on commentary as the show cuts to a commercial break!

When we return from the commercial break, we see CHARLOTTE FLAIR and NATALYA standing next to each other backstage as they face the camera.

Charlotte Flair: Myself and Natalya, we will never be friends.

Natalya nods agreeing with that statement.

Charlotte Flair: We have fought too many times for us to be friends but allies? That we can do.

Natalya and Charlotte shake hands as the Queen of Harts looks to speak now.

Natalya: We both come from wrestling royalty so we have a lot in common and one thing we both hate is someone new coming in to take what’s ours!

Charlotte Flair: Who plans to destroy what we have fought to build and make great.

Natalya:
So next week, we take on your little henchmen.

Charlotte Flair:
Trust me, Duke and Shafir won’t make it to Armageddon.

Charlotte stops for a moment smiling.

Charlotte Flair: But speaking of Armageddon, Ronda I’m issuing a challenge to you!

Loud cheers from the crowd.

Charlotte Flair: See I nearly got rid of you for good before. I want to finish the job.

Natalya nods but Charlotte quickly turns to Natalya catching her off-guard.

Charlotte Flair:
Just to make things clear Natalya, when I get rid of Ronda it doesn’t matter who is holding the title. You or Shayna? The Queen wants her throne back.

Charlotte walks off bringing their promo to an end on a tense note whilst we cut to a video package…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As we can see BROCK LESNAR working on his farm whilst the voice of PAUL HEYMAN narrates over the top of the video.

Paul Heyman: Brock Lesnar always gets what he wants.

We see clips of Brock Lesnar lifting the WWE and Universal titles in the air several times throughout the years.

Paul Heyman: He has taken streaks off legends.

We see the image of Brock Lesnar celebrating after ending the Undertaker’s streak.

Paul Heyman: There is no one on the level of Brock Lesnar.

We see Brock Lesnar destroying legends like Undertaker, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Goldberg and more over the years.

Paul Heyman: And new superstars have tried to step up to take his crown…

We see clips of more modern-day top stars: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Samoa Joe and Aleister Black!

Paul Heyman: But very few have angered the Beast like you have Andrade!

We get a clip of the 6 on 1 beatdown on Brock Lesnar on the Raw after Wrestlemania before the group sent the Beast off the stage writing him off TV for about a month.

Paul Heyman: You tried to take away what Brock loves the most!

We cut to Paul Heyman grinning.

Paul Heyman: Money.

Paul shakes his head.

Paul Heyman: By trying to take him out, you took away Brock’s chance to get the money he wants to live the life he wants and I wouldn’t try to get in the way of what Brock wants.

We see more clips of Brock hunting and doing general farm stuff.

Paul Heyman: Because now Brock is going to hurt you, Andrade. He is going to pick you and send you to Suplex City!

We see clips of Brock doing that to superstars throughout the years.

Paul Heyman: He’ll even deliver the message first-hand on next week’s Raw!

A big announcement by Paul. Brock will be on Raw next week!

Paul Heyman: And when he is done destroying you, he will take back what is rightful his: the WWE title!

We then see a clip of Drew McIntyre holding his WWE title aloft into the air after toppling Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania.

Paul Heyman: Brock hasn’t forgotten you eliminating from the Royal Rumble, Drew.

We see Drew McIntyre throwing Brock out of the rumble right at the end of the match.

Paul Heyman: And my client hopes you are the man holding the title at Summerslam when Brock takes his spot at the top back as…

We see Brock smashing a bunch of lumber with an axe as Paul Heyman finishes off his promo.

Paul Heyman: The reigning undisputed WWE Champion of the world… BROCCCCCCK LESNARRRRRRRR!

The promo comes to an end as Brock Lesnar stands in the middle of his farm cutting an imposing presence and we will see him first-hand on next week’s Raw! The show then cuts to a commercial break as the commentary team tells us after the commercial break we will see the number one contender’s match for the Intercontinental title next!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A loud pop from the live crowd as XAVIER WOODS heads down to the ring for a big opportunity in singles competition. He slaps hands with a few of the fans and looks happy as he climbs into the ring. The commentary team reminds us that Woods is the only member of the New Day yet to hold singles gold and beating The Miz tonight will put him one step closer to doing that!

A decent pop from the live crowd as THE MIZ walks down the ramp but there is none of his usual posing and messing around. He holds his chest as he heads to the ring and noticeably has a bunch of tape around his mid-section after the attack by Morrison and Rowan earlier in the night! The commentary team puts over how much the IC title means to The Miz and how badly he wants it back. He winces as he steps into the ring before the bell is called to get this underway.

Match 4: Number one contender’s match for the Intercontinental title at Armageddon: The Miz vs Xavier Woods
Match summary: Woods once the bell rings looks a bit reluctant to go right after The Miz, with the referee checking on him to make sure he is OK. Miz shakes his head and after Woods checks on him telling him he doesn’t have to do this… MIZ PUNCHES HIM IN THE JAW! Woods rubs his jaw and responds by going right after The Miz, dominating the match and taking control thanks to the injuries sustained earlier in the night. During the match also cut backstage as JOHN MORRISON and ERICK ROWAN are watching the match but elsewhere backstage BIG E is as well!

Back in the ring, Miz has started to fight back using his cunning and craft style but the damage done earlier in the night keeps slowing him down. Miz tries to go after the legs of Woods but Xavier is ready for it sending Miz backward! He even connects with a series of kicks to the chest before looking for LIMIT BREAK EARLY… BUT MIZ IN TIME PUSHES HIM OFF THE ROPES TO THE OUTSIDE! A close call for a count out but Woods makes it back inside just in time as the match reaches the closing stages!

The Miz has taken back control using the crash to the outside to target the back of Woods and looks to make him submit on the mat but Woods fights back! Miz though teases the SKULL CRUSHING FINALE… BUT WOODS FIGHTS OUT AND HITS A TORNADO DDT! Woods then heads to the top and walks the ropes hitting LIMIT BREAK TO THE CHEST OF MIZ… RIGHT ON THE INJURED RIBS! Woods makes the cover and picks up the biggest singles win of his career!

Winner via pinfall: Xavier Woods (10:07)

Loud cheers from the crowd as Xavier gets back to his feet and celebrates the big win which means he will get an Intercontinental title match at Armageddon against John Morrison! The commentary team also mentions the injuries The Miz suffered and wonders if on another night he might have defeated Xavier Woods. Miz gets back to his feet as Woods is celebrating as the two men come face to face in the ring.

Miz looks annoyed but nods and wishes Woods good luck offering him a handshake which Xavier accepts. Miz raises Woods's arm into the air but as he does… JOHN MORRISON and ERICK ROWAN ATTACK HIM! Loud boos from the crowd as the two men who just fought get beaten down by the champion and his bodyguard until….

A loud pop from the live crowd as BIG E runs out with the Money in the Bank briefcase in his hand (painted in New Day colors) and heads straight for the ring! Big E once inside the ring CLOBBERS ERICK ROWAN IN THE HEAD WITH THE BRIEFCASE! Morrison sees him coming and wisely leaves the ring, fleeing up the entrance ramp! Erick Rowan soon joins him on the entrance ramp as they look back at the ring whilst Big E checks on his best friend whilst Miz glares at his rival.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut backstage as we can see RANDY ORTON slithering through the backstage area when he is stopped by RENEE YOUNG looking for an interview.

Renee Young:
Randy, in tonight's main event you have the chance to earn yourself a WWE title match against Drew McIntyre at Armageddon. How badly do you want to get your hands on Drew McIntyre?

Randy smirks slightly.

Randy Orton: My dealings with Drew McIntyre were never personal. They were only about one thing. Becoming WWE Champion once again. But I will do anything to get my hands on it one more time. Once I do, I will never let it go.

Renee Young: You face Sheamus in the main event, someone you are very familiar with and have history fighting. What are your thoughts?

Randy remains stoic.

Randy Orton: I’ve beaten him before and to get what’s mine I will defeat him again.

Renee Young: Last question, last week you made your return to WWE by attacking Sami Zayn. Are you not worried about him looking for revenge?

Randy shakes his head.

Randy Orton: I put Sami on the shelf once before and I’ll do it once again. Now if you will excuse me…

As Randy finishes the interview, ANGELO DAWKINS walks into the shot coming face to face with Randy!

Angelo Dawkins:
You think you can do whatever you want due to being a legend right?

Randy smirks.

Randy Orton: Of course I do, what are you going to do about it?

Angelo Dawkins:
I spoke to Wade and I’ll see you in that ring next week!

Angelo goes to leave but Randy spins him around!

Randy Orton:
Be careful Angelo as I might put you on the shelf like your tag team partner!

A sinister message from Randy Orton leaving Angelo Dawkins standing there furious! The commentary team meanwhile confirms Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland versus Samoa Joe will happen next!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A mixed reaction from the live crowd as SAMOA JOE slowly walks out with a scowl on his face before marching to the ring with his signature towel over his neck. He mean-mugs a few of the fans as the commentary reminds us this match was made after Joe’s perceived disrespect towards the Hurt Business. Joe stands in the ring as he waits for his opponent.

Boos from the crowd as ISAIAH “SWERVE” STRICKLAND walks out to the ring full of swagger with MVP and LIO RUSH following their stablemate to the ring. The commentary team point out that whilst they are a group, they certainly don’t always agree with each other on how to go about business. Isaiah steps into the ring as Joe talks trash promising that what happens next is always disrespect whilst Isaiah just cockily smirks in the corner leaning against the ropes. The referee calls for the bell and the match is underway!

Match 5: Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland w/MVP and Lio Rush vs Samoa Joe
Match summary: Early on Isaiah plays keep away from Joe, doing a lot of swerving which further winds up the Samoan Submission machine. Joe during this tells MVP to get his client to act like a man but MVP puts his hands up wanting to stay out of it. Eventually, Swerve pounces on Joe and catches him with a cheap shot to the leg before laughing cockily in signature Swerve style as he starts to work over Joe with his fast-paced offense.

Joe struggles to fight back as Swerve tactically ducks and dives, avoiding any fight back from Joe. The commentary team puts over Joe’s intelligence but he may have met his match in the ring against the devious Swerve Strickland here! Joe though does start to mount a fight back and even gets Swerve locked in the COQUINA CLUTCH… BUT SWERVE SMASHES JOE IN THE LEG WITH A WICKED KICK TO ESCAPE FROM THE HOLD!

Swerve once again works over Joe as the match starts to head to the closing stages. Joe is still going after the leg as Joe lifts Swerve up off the mat and connects with the MUSCLEBUSTER… BUT HIS LEG HURTS TOO MUCH TO MAKE THE COVER STRAIGHT AWAY! Joe makes the cover but Swerve kicks out at 2! Joe looks angry as he grabs hold of Swerve and looks to lock in the COQUINA CLUTCH… BUT SWERVE REVERSES INTO A PINNING PREDICAMENT! 1 2 Joe breaks it and releases the hold!

Joe punches the mat looking angry but as he goes after Swerve he tweaks his knee so Swerve hits a JUMPING DDT spiking Joe’s head to the mat. Isaiah then follows up by hitting the HOUSE CALL to the back of Joe’s head but Joe kicks out! Isaiah shakes his head as he looks at Lio outside the ring who nods and HEADS OVER TO ONE OF THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLES AND TAKES OFF THE PADDING! The referee doesn’t see it as Swerve waits for Joe to get up BEFORE HITTING A HURRICARANA INTO THE EXPOSED TURNBUCKLE! Joe falls back and Swerve makes the cover picking up the massive win!

Winner via pinfall: Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland (12:48)

Boos from the live crowd as Swerve smirks and shares a hug with a smiling Lio Rush. MVP outside the ring looks a little shocked but smiles with his two clients working together to help Swerve win. The commentary team puts over the craftiness of Swerve, outsmarting a veteran tonight and picking up a huge win on Monday Night Raw. The Hurt Business head up the entrance ramp celebrating the victory heading to the back leaving MVP standing alone as he watches a rising Joe in the ring. Samoa Joe glares at him as MVP shrugs and heads to the back as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we cut to WADE BARRETT’S OFFICE as the commissioner stands in front of his table with a smile on his face whilst wearing a black crisp suit and a rose in the pocket.

Wade Barrett: Earlier tonight, we saw four of the best Cruiserweights collide for a chance to at a title match and my nation’s own Pete Dunne advance to Armageddon.

A loud pop from the crowd for the mention of the Bruiserweight.

Wade Barrett: But I want to keep giving my Cruiserweights the chance to shine and that’s why at Armageddon there will be a six-man number one contender’s match for a future shot at the Cruiserweight title!

Another loud pop from the live crowd excited to see some of the Cruiserweights compete in a ladder match.

Wade Barrett: Now the first two entrants into the match will be Mustafa Ali and Dolph Ziggler since they were not pinned earlier tonight!

Cheers from the live crowd as Barrett puts a finger up to pause for a moment.

Wade Barrett: On the condition, there is no contact between the two until the pay-per-view!

Boos from the crowd wanting to see them fight once again but Barrett makes his conditions clear.

Wade Barrett: For the rest of the spots, starting next week we will have qualifying matches to decide the remaining four men who will enter the ladder match.

Big matches are promised for Raw over the next two weeks.

Wade Barrett: But right now, it is time to find out the next number one contenders for the World tag team titles!

The promo comes to an end as we cut to the ringside area ready for the triple threat match-up next.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A decent amount of boos as THE ONE TWOS make their way out marching to the ring, showing no emotions on the way to the ring. The commentary team points out how close they came to becoming tag team champions earlier in the year with both DANNY BURCH and ONEY LORCAN looking for their first gold in the WWE. Can they earn a title shot tonight?

A decent pop from the live crowd as BREEZANGO make their way out to the ring with their selfie sticks in hand. TYLER BREEZE and FANDANGO even take the time to do selfies with the fans in the crowd on the way to the ring, something that annoys the One twos. The commentary team mentions Breezango have also yet to become champions in WWE and will be looking for their first gold as well if they earn the title shot at Armageddon!

A loud pop from the live crowd as MUSTACHE MOUNTAIN walk out onto the entrance ramp. TYLER BATE and TRENT SEVEN both twirl their mustaches at the top of the entrance ramp with white towels around their necks before they walk down the entrance ramp. The commentary team reminds us this duo are former NXT tag team champions plus Tyler Bate is a former NXT Cruiserweight and NXT UK Champion! Once into the ring, we can see Trent Seven, Tyler Breeze and Danny Burch start for their respective teams as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 6: Number one contender’s tag team match: Mustache Mountain vs The One Twos vs Breezango
Match summary: This match starts up at a fast pace with three teams having a man in the ring throughout. During the match, we get to see the One Twos fire off a ton of strikes and Breezango act a lot more serious than normal, really looking to finally get their hands on gold as the year comes to a close. As we enter the closing stages the legal men are Tyler Bate, Fandango and Danny Burch.

The match breaks down with the partners fighting each other but as they distract the referee NOAM DAR SNEAKS IN VIA THE CROWD AND HITS A NOVA ROLLER TO FANDANGO! Breeze sees this and chases after Noam Dar who flees through the crowd and that leaves Danny to battle with Bate. Bate in the end wins out the battle with Danny Burch hitting him with TYLER DRIVER 97! Tyler Bate hooks the leg and picks up the win!

Winners via pinfall: Mustache Mountain (9:25)

Loud cheers from the live crowd as Mustache Mountain advance to Armageddon to face The Ungovernables! They celebrate in the ring whilst The One Twos retreat to the back furious at losing this match. Fandango comes to and doesn’t realize what happened, wondering where his partner is. The commentary team also hypes up that all of British Strong Style could walk out of Armageddon with gold and PETE DUNNE walks out to join his friends as the whole group celebrates their victories tonight as the show goes to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see NOAM DAR who has managed to escape Tyler Breeze and he has a smug smirk on his face as he chews some gum. As he is walking though he is stopped by CHARLY CARUSO looking for an interview.

Charly Caruso: Noam, can I…

Noam Dar: Listen Charly, if you want my number, slide into my DM’s.

Charly looks at Noam with disgust.

Charly Caruso: No I wanted to get an explanation for why you just cost Breezango their number-one contender’s match.

Dar looks at her stunned she would even ask the question.

Noam Dar: Why? Because they screwed me last week!

Dar shouts as he says that.

Noam Dar: I’m not going to stand for two washed-up losers trying to screw me out of the winner’s purse!

Charly Caruso:
I mean you did try to cheat first during that match Noam.

Noam Dar looks at her like she spat in his face.

Noam Dar: Two wrongs don’t make a right Charly. C’mon if you want to date the Scottish Supernova you need better morals than that.

Charly rolls her eyes and is beyond fed up with Dar.

Noam Dar: But onto things that matter, I heard Wade’s announcement earlier tonight and I want into the Cruiserweight number one contender’s ladder match at Armageddon!

???: Well homeboy you will have to go through me!

The camera pans over and we see RICOCHET standing there holding an ice pack against his head after his Intercontinental title match earlier tonight.

Ricochet:
I spoke to Wade and after what happened to me earlier tonight, he gave me a qualifying match against you next week.

Dar smirks.

Noam Dar: That’s fine because I will show you what being in my Cruiserweight division is like.

Dar gets into Ricochet’s face.

Noam Dar:
And I’ll clip your wings so you can no longer fly!

Dar shoulder barges Ricochet as he walks off living the high-flier standing there looking furious as we cut to the ringside area for the next match.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers from the live crowd as DAKOTA KAI walks out to the ring dressed for action and she is joined by TEGAN NOX who is coming to support her at ringside. The commentary team mentions that they don’t normally come to ringside for each other’s matches but due to Franky’s proneness to cheating, Team Kick are wary about what tricks she might try to pull or even her husband might pull if he comes out.

Boos from the live crowd as FRANKY MONET comes out to the ring for the second time tonight and this time she is without her husband or his bodyguard. She has a smug smirk on her face as the commentary team wonders what they are up to. On the way to the ring, she exchanges a few words with Tegan Nox as the commentary team reminds us what happened in the Queen of the Ring second-round match. Once Franky Monet is in the ring the referee calls for the bell to get this underway.

Match 7: Dakota Kai w/Tegan Nox vs Franky Monet
Match summary: Dakota and Franky go at each other from the bell hitting each other with hard strikes. Dakota goes for Franky with a flurry of kicks whilst Franky focuses on forearms but also focuses on some of the lucha skills she has picked up during her years down in Mexico. However as the match goes on Dakota Kai takes control and looks like winning when…

DANA BROOKE RUNS DOWN THE ENTRANCE RAMP AND ATTACKS TEGAN NOX!?! Boos from the confused crowd as Dakota dives through the ropes wiping Dana out. She climbs into the ring but Franky catches her by surprise! She clocks her in the head before planting her with the ROAD TO VALHALLA! Franky makes the cover to pick up the big win!

Winner via pinfall: Franky Monet (6:21)

Boos from the crowd as Franky Monet steals the victory over Dakota Kai! The commentary team wonders why Dana Brooke randomly attacked Tegan Nox at ringside but things soon become clearer when she joins Franky Monet in the ring raising her hand into the air! The crowd carries on booking whilst Franky and Dana celebrate her win as they head up the entrance ramp leaving a furious Team Kick at ringside as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see FRANKY MONET and DANA BROOKE walking through the back looking smug. The duo turns to the camera as Franky smiles.

Franky Monet: And now it is time for you to be the star you always should have been.

Dana nods and hugs Franky.

Dana Brooke:
Thanks Franky.

She breaks the hug and turns back to the camera.

Dana Brooke: For too long I have been stuck in the shadows. In the background getting zero opportunities. No more.

She looks at Franky.

Dana Brooke: Now I am by Franky’s side, I’ve got a true star to help me get to the top.

Franky smirks.

Franky Monet: And it’s always good for a true star to have an assistant she can teach how to get right to the top.

Franky turns to Dana.

Franky Monet: Let’s go, Dana. You have work to do.

A smile appears on Dana Brooke’s face before she follows Franky Monet as they head elsewhere backstage and we do the same as…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut to DREW MCINTYRE walking through the back when he bumps into SHEAMUS! The two men show a tiny bit of tension before embracing for a hug and breaking from each other.

Drew McIntyre: Don’t normally see you this happy.

Sheamus: Hey fella, I have the chance for potentially the best fight of my life. Why wouldn’t I be happy fella?

Drew nods.

Drew McIntyre:
That’s the spirit I want to see.

Drew lifts his WWE title into the air holding it in front of his friend.

Drew McIntyre: And you better bring that when you win tonight Sheamus.

Sheamus nods.

Sheamus:
Oh, believe me, I have no intention of losing to that snake Randy. In Ireland…

Before he can finish his train of thought we can see SAMI ZAYN walk into the shot approaching the two men.

Sami Zayn:
Sheamus I know you are about to go out there but I want to get my hands on Randy Orton.

Drew McIntyre: I can relate to that.

A slight smile on Sami’s face as he says that but Sheamus steps forward.

Sheamus: If you are asking if I want your help for me to win, I don’t need it fella.

Sami shakes his head.

Sami Zayn: I was more asking if you want me to stay here. I know you can beat Randy by yourself but I want to hurt him after what he did to me and costing him the chance at the WWE title…

Drew puts his hand on Sami's shoulder as he looks at him.

Drew McIntyre:
I get wanting to hurt Randy but save it for a week.

Drew looks to Sheamus and fist-bumps him.

Drew McIntyre:
Because my best friend ain’t missing out on a fight with me.

Sheamus nods and walks off heading towards the ring as the commentary team confirms the main event is up next!

A massive pop from the live crowd as Raw returns from the commercial break, RANDY ORTON makes his way down the ramp and the St Louis crowd goes wild for their hometown hero. Randy makes cold and stoic as he walks to the ring as the commentary team wonders if the hometown advantage will help Randy to win this match. Once he gets in the ring he paces up and down as he waits for his opponent and former rival to make his way out.

A decent reaction from the live crowd but some of the crowd boos SHEAMUS as he walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp. The commentary team once again brings up Sheamus’s friendship with Drew McIntyre going years back and the pair always dreaming about fighting each other over the WWE title. Another thing noted is Sheamus and Randy Orton have fought each other several times throughout the years and will know each other quite well. Sheamus steps over the ropes and stands in front of Randy Orton as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Main event: Number one contender’s match for the WWE title at Armageddon: Sheamus vs Randy Orton
Match summary: In the first few moments of the match Randy and Sheamus take their time to size each other up. Randy plays the babyface in the match due to the crowd reaction whilst Sheamus plays the heel early on. Randy gets tossed around the ring and overpowered so he has to keep finding ways to inflict damage on Sheamus during the match. During the match we cut backstage and can see the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre watching it intently, wanting to fight his best friend at Armageddon.

Back in the ring, Randy starts trying to grind Sheamus down but the power Sheamus has proves to be a problem for him. Sheamus doesn’t stop there as he follows up with a series of punches to the head and lays into the Viper. Randy starts to get a bit desperate and resorts to an eye rake! He gets some boos for that cheap move but the crowd is behind the Viper in his hometown still as the match moves toward its climax with Randy Orton in control.

Randy picks the body of Sheamus apart and goes through his usual finishing sequence before sizing up Sheamus for an RKO! He pounds the mat as he waits for Sheamus to slowly get back to his feet before going to strike… BUT SHEAMUS PUSHES HIM AWAY! Randy falls back into the ropes and bounces back STRAIGHT INTO A BROUGE KICK! Sheamus kicks Randy’s head in and makes the cover! 1 2 3 Sheamus advances to Armageddon!

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus (11:11)

Sheamus gets to his feet and gets a slightly mixed reaction from the live crowd as they would have preferred Randy Orton to win this match. The commentary team however hype up Sheamus and the fight we could be in for at the PPV! Randy Orton slithers away as he heads backstage leaving Sheamus alone in the ring to celebrate the win until…

The WWE Champion DREW MCINTYRE walks onto the stage and slowly walks to the ring as he locks eyes with his friend. Sheamus has a slight smirk on his face as Drew McIntyre steps over the ropes and comes face-to-face with his challenger. Both men smile as they stare each other down as Monday Night Raw comes to an end with the two men who will collide for the WWE title are Armageddon facing off with one another all smiles and ready to battle as friends as the show fades to black.

- Sheamus becoming #1 Contender for the WWE Championship at Armageddon makes sense especially beating Randy Orton in the main event...I definitely almost expected Sami Zayn to show up and cost Orton the match but he didn't. Sheamus won cleanly in the main event and now it sets up McIntyre/Sheamus for the title in McIntyre's first title defense since coming over to RAW in the Draft.

- I wonder if Sheamus turns heel in the build up?

- Now that Orton is out of the title picture, it seems pretty safe to say we get Orton/Zayn at Armageddon

- Franky Monet, John Morrison's wife I mean she's a very damn good wrestler in her own right and she was a star way before she ever got here to WWE. But seeing her go over Dakota Kai under controversy because of Dana Brooke of all people. Why? I don't get this new alliance at all between Monet & Brooke. But then again Dana Brooke she was an assistant back in the day to Charlotte Flair, the greatest Women's wrestler of all time bar none and look at how that turned out? Now she wants to align herself with Monet, so tell me if she couldn't cut it with Charlotte Flair then what makes Dana think Monet can help her career?

- It seems British Strong Style they are making an impact on RAW since coming to RAW in the Draft from NXT... Pete Dunne becomes #1 Contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to face Angel Garza the Champion who just happens to be an Ungovernables member and then Mustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) become #1 Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Championship facing Ilja Dragunov and Cesaro who are also the Champions and Ungovernables members...it's no coincidence that this all happened. Why? Because of these groups' first interaction last week on RAW.

- Isaiah Swerve Stickland going over Samoa Joe...I have to admit even I'm shocked because I wasn't anticipating him going over Joe at all with Joe being so much bigger and stronger and being more experienced. Swerve using speed and craftiness to win...even MVP and Rush were shocked. But I still say Samoa Joe does not join The Hurt Business. But as far as who joins? I see it being Bobby Lashley. I think Lashley joins sooner rather than later. I think Lashley returns from injury early and he aligns himself with MVP, Rush and Strickland by becoming the leader of The Hurt Business.

- A 6 Man Ladder Match to determine the next #1 Contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship...no doubt whoever wins that match will get a title shot at SummerSlam that I'm sure of

- Xavier Woods becoming #1 Contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship beating The Miz...well let's be fair Miz was practically injured coming into this match because he was blindsided backstage by Rowan and the WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison...is Morrison really that afraid of facing Miz that he attacks him before the match so that way he doesn't face him? Morrison knows deep down he can't beat The Miz straight up 1 on 1 with no one else around hence him doing all this. Why? Morrison will always be the Jannetty to Miz's Michaels. Morrison knows it. Because he's not as accomplished as The Miz. Miz's accomplishments he's done it all in WWE. He's been IC, US and a multiple time Tag Team Champion. Miz has done something Morrison has never done and that's be World Champion. Miz has been WWE Champion...Morrison never has. Morrison he's never won Money in the Bank either...Miz has but has Miz won the Royal Rumble Match? He never has but neither has Morrison.

- But looking at Morrison's accomplishments he isn't as accomplished but I'm sure that could change in the future. But Miz is a star too in Hollywood.

- But seeing Mr Money in the Bank Big E make the save for Xavier Woods just as he is being beat down by Rowan and Morrison...I love it because Woods needs back up and what better back up to have than Big E, Mr Money in the Bank and his fellow New Day teammate?

- Seems like there's trouble in paradise between The Ungovernables especially when Lesnar is set to come back...Andrade is going to have to go at this alone because Brock will make sure of that because he will destroy every member of that group until he gets his hands on Andrade

- But I definitely hope we get Lesnar/McIntyre at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship? Why? Because it would not only make for a better SummerSlam main event but also because McIntyre/Lesnar in this diary have never faced each other in a match so it would be a First Time Ever. Andrade/McIntyre is a retread of NXT so why put us through that again on the main roster? Plus Andrade has had how many title shots already this year?

- MMA Horsewomen have quite the fight on their hands because now not only do they have Charlotte Flair to deal with, they also have Natalya and Nia Jax to deal with too. But Charlotte, Nattie and Nia are still outnumbered. Ronda, Shayna, Jessamyn and Marina that's 4. So what's Charlotte going to do about a 4th?

- Morrison's first title defense since coming over to RAW in the Draft and he retains his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Ricochet...well he can thank Rowan and his wife Franky Monet for that. I mean had it not been for their interference, Morrison probably would have lost this match. Proves further that Morrison's days with that title are numbered.

After we pan around the arena to welcome us to the show, we cut to the commentary team at ringside as Corey Graves and Byron Saxton welcome up to the show giving us a rundown of what’s going to happen on tonight’s show:

  • The Good Brothers and Matt Riddle will be in action
  • We will hear from Edge and Aleister Black on tonight’s show
  • Lita and Trish Stratus confirm what is next for them after their win at Queen of the Ring
  • Bayley returns to in-ring action for the first time since losing The Hugging Pirates lost their tag team titles as she takes on Lacey Evans
  • And in the main event: The Riott Squad team up with Sasha Banks to take on WWE Women’s Champion Ember Moon, Taynara Conti and Xia Li

But first of all, we are starting the show with Daniel Bryan taking on Cedric Alexander!

Boos from the live crowd as CEDRIC ALEXANDER walks out and is joined by his tag team partner/bodyguard DIO MADDIN! The duo taunts the crowd as Cedric promises to show Bryan what the future looks like. The commentary point out that Cedric has been itching to burst through on Smackdown Live and post-draft a win over Daniel Bryan surely would put him into title contention even after a recent tag team titles lost to Heavy Machinery.

Loud cheers from the live crowd as DANIEL BRYAN makes his way out looking focused. A few of the crowd start up the “yes” chant but he carries on heading straight to the ring. The commentary team reminds us of Bryan's words last week, he is looking to get back to being the best wrestler on the planet after losing his focus and a win tonight over a young prospect like Cedric Alexander will get Bryan on his way. Bryan once in the ring stands across from Cedric who talks a bunch of trash as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 1: Daniel Bryan vs Cedric Alexander w/Dio Maddin

Match summary: Cedric soon regrets his trash talk and getting a smack in the mouth. Early on Daniel looks to show he is truly back as he peppers Cedric with a series of kicks and forearms forcing a retreat to the outside to speak to Dio Maddin. Bryan in the ring though smiles and hangs back instead of going after Cedric outside the ring. Cedric heads back inside and does a better job hanging with Bryan by playing to his strengths with his speed and athleticism rather than matching Bryan with strikes.

Cedric looks like he might even take control of the match but Bryan switches things up by taking Cedric down to the mat and goes right after his right leg, slowing him right down! Bryan grinds down Cedric on the mat and once again shows a lot more aggression than in recent times. Cedric though makes it to the ring ropes to force a break on the hold. Bryan makes sure to make full use of the 5 count and even reminds the referee how long he has as we reach the closing stages.

Dio Maddin starts making his presence felt getting closer to the ring and Bryan senses it as he climbs to the top rope and wipes him out with a MISSILE DROPKICK! Dio falls back as Bryan heads back into the ring and hits a SUPERKICK TO THE HEAD STUNNING HIM! Cedric looks to get him up for the LUMBAR CHECK… BUT BRYAN REVERSES AND ENDS UP GETTING HIM IN THE HEEL HOOK! Daniel Bryan locks the hold in tight on the right leg of Cedric and after about 15 seconds in the hold… CEDRIC TAPS OUT!

Winner via submission: Daniel Bryan (10:42)

Loud cheers from the crowd as Daniel Bryan releases the hold and raises his arms into the air. It is a fairly muted celebration but he gets back on track with the win tonight. Cedric meanwhile clutches his leg as he rolls out of the win and uses his heavy to help him to the back. The commentary put over the performance from the former world champion and mention more wins like this could get into contention for a Universal title shot. The image of Bryan celebrating in the ring stays on the screen as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break we can see TAYNARA CONTI and XIA LI getting ready backstage in their locker room. Both women are all smiles until the door opens and they are joined by their tag team partner in tonight’s main event: EMBER MOON!

Ember Moon: Ready for tonight?

Ember smiles slightly as Taynara walks forward looking at Ember and then at her title.

Taynara Conti: I’m always ready Ember. I’ve been ready since I came up from the main roster.

Ember Moon: That’s good because I don’t like losing.

It’s a friendly conversation between the two women but you can tell there is tension ahead of next week’s title match.

Taynara Conti:
You are going to hate next week then.

A slight smile appears on Conti’s face but Ember shakes her head.

Ember Moon: Tay, you are still fairly new to this so let me input some veteran advice from someone who had to fight for years to even get to NXT.

Ember and Taynara get closer to each other, face to face with each other.

Ember Moon: This is your first shot at the WWE Women’s title and when you lose because I’m not letting this go without one hell of a fight…

She unhooks the belt and lifts it into the air before carrying on.

Ember Moon: You will have to pick yourself back up and crawl back time and again until you are worthy of being a champion. You haven’t had that journey yet. You are still at the start.

Conti frowns before firing back.

Taynara Conti: Yeah I may still be early in my career but I’ve already proved I can hang with the best!

She is starting to shout as Ember stays still staring down Conti.

Taynara Conti: I went to the limit with Ronda Rousey and I beat Sasha Banks twice!

A true statement as Ember slightly smiles now.

Taynara Conti: And next week, I will beat you.

Ember chuckles slightly now backing off a bit.

Ember Moon:
Bring that fire tonight and next week…

She gets to the door stopping before she turns back to Taynara Conti.

Ember Moon: You might have the spirit to earn a rematch after you lose.

A smirk on Ember’s face as Xia Li stops Conti from rising to it as we cut back to the commentary team at ringside who hype up the main event before this music hits…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A massive ovation from the live crowd as the Rated R superstar EDGE makes his way out with a scowl on his face. He still does his signature entrance before marching down the entrance ramp with purpose. The commentary team reminds us what happened on last week’s show with Karrion Kross beating up his friends Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins plus the issues Edge has had with Seth Rollins taking out his friends and putting them on the shelf. Once inside the ring Edge grabs a microphone from someone at ringside and paces around the ring as he speaks.

Edge: I’ve got a lot on my mind at the moment and it seems people keep wanting to test me.

Edge shakes his head and snarls, looking every bit like a version of Old Man Logan.

Edge: My wife is currently in hospital after Shayna cashed in on her and the only reason I’m not by her side right now is she told me to be here to do what I missed out on.

He rubs his face and shakes his head to carry on.

Edge: But she isn’t the only person I care about on the shelf currently.

You can tell Edge’s temper is rising.

Edge: Big Show and Montez Ford, two men I consider friends have been put out of action thanks to Seth Rollins.

Loud boos at the mention of the self-proclaimed Saviour of Smackdown.

Edge: And this is why I want Ryder and Hawkins to stay out of my war with him because the only blood I want on my hands is his entire Church when I bring it crumbling down.

An intense glare as Edge looks wide-eyed at the camera.

Edge: But someone else seems intent on trying to get my attention by attacking them instead of Seth.

Edge takes a moment before turning to the entrance ramp.

Edge: Karrion Kross!

Boos from the crowd for the mention of that name.

Edge: Now I figured I’d beat you to the punch and instead of listening to you quote a bunch of cryptic nonsense, why don’t you come out to this ring and I give you just a taste of how much anger I have right now?

A massive pop for Edge to be this fired up as he waits in the ring. It takes a few seconds but Kross doesn’t come to the ring. No, instead KARRION KROSS appears on the titantron sitting on a grey throne in a dark room with SCARLETT BORDEAUX standing in front of him with a brown leather back book as she looks at the camera.

Scarlett Bordeaux: Tace. Kross vera loquetur.

Scarlett moves out of shot as Karrion leans forward with a truly sinister smirk on his face.

Karrion Kross: Is this what age does to a man? Make them weak?

Edge scowls in the ring as Kross smiles amused.

Karrion Kross:
You used to be a man to admire Edge.

He holds his hand out and clenches his fist.

Karrion Kross: Someone who carved power and would do whatever it took to claim or destroy whoever stood in your way to take it.

Kross leans forward smiling.

Karrion Kross: Even allies.

Edge lifts the microphone up ready to fire back.

Edge: Yeah I grew as a person and learned that winning the world title means nothing if you have no family to celebrate it with.

Loud cheers from the crowd as Edge heads to the ropes.

Edge: My wife Beth helped me see the light and maybe one day you will as well.

Kross responds by chuckling with irritates Edge.

Edge: But right now, I want to kick your ass!

Loud cheers from the crowd as Edge gets serious but Kross smirks.

Edge: So instead of speaking out of which every broom closet you found to set up your little throne…

A few “OOOOOOHS” from the crowd as Kross is noticeably pissed off about that line.

Edge: And come to this ring for a fight right now!

A loud pop from the live crowd who want to see a fight but Kross shakes his head.

Karrion Kross: I know you are running out of time Edge but I am not.

Loud boos for the cowardice of Kross who just smirks as Scarlett wanders back into the shot and passes him an hourglass!

Karrion Kross: We will do things on my time as…

He turns the hourglasses upside down as the sand starts to tick down with Kross placing it on the throne as he stands up.

Karrion Kross:
Your clock goes TICK TOCK TICK TOCK…

Kross carries on saying that as he walks off-screen with the camera focusing in on the hourglasses which is labeled with Edge’s name! Edge in the ring shakes his head annoyed by Kross not accepting his challenge to a fight tonight as the commentary wonder if Edge is pulling himself into too many places at once with his war with Rollins, making sure his wife is OK after her recent attack and also now trying to fight Kross. As they wonder, the commentary team confirm we will see The Good Brothers in tag team action next!

When we return from the commercial break, we don’t cut back to the ring straight away. Instead, we see HANSON storming through the back in a panic. He slams open doors and walks through them shouting…

Hanson: ROWE!

We can see a bunch of lower carders looking confused before Hanson storms off about to burst open another door when KEVIN PATRICK stops him.

Kevin Patrick:
Hanson are you OK? Why are you slamming doors and screaming for your tag team partner?

Hanson turns around and gets right in Kevin’s face.

Hanson: My partner was meant to be here. He was visiting family this week and was arriving late but he is never this late. He was supposed to be here thirty minutes ago.

Kevin pauses and tries to calm Hanson down.

Kevin Patrick: I mean maybe he got stuck in traffic…

Hanson: No no no. I’ve checked the traffic reports and they are clear so…

In the background, the “Firefly Funhouse” logo flashes on the TV for a few seconds which Hanson notices pushing past Kevin Patrick!

Hanson: Where are you, Bray? Where are you?

Hanson goes storming down the hall but as he walks past we can see the MERCY THE BUZZARD puppet pop up around the corner and a laugh comes from the puppet as we cut back to the ring.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The B-TEAM stand in the ring waiting for their opponents as the commentary team discusses what we just saw and speculate on if Bray Wyatt had anything to do with Rowe not being here by now.

Boos from the crowd though there are a few cheers from some of the more smarky members of the crowd as THE GOOD BROTHERS walk to the ring. The commentary team hype up their performance in the battle royal last week but especially point out how KARL ANDERSON did in the match, being key in eliminating both members of the tag team champions Heavy Machinery. LUKE GALLOWS steps into the ring to start the match whilst CURTIS AXEL starts for his team as the referee rings the bell to get things underway.

Match 2: The Good Brothers vs The B-Team

Match summary: The Good Brothers control the match and easily overpower both members of the B-Team as commentary once again reminds us of the accolades both men have from eons ago. In the end, they hit Bo Dallas with the MAGIC KILLER and Karl Anderson hooks the leg to pick up the win for the team!

Winners via pinfall: The Good Brothers (3:31)

Boos from the crowd as The Good Brothers rise to their feet and too sweet each other in the middle of the ring happy with their handiwork on tonight’s Smackdown. The commentary team carries on putting over their claim for a tag team titles shot before Karl Anderson grabs a pair of microphones passing one to Luke as well.

Karl Anderson: Did you see that?

Luke Gallows: AJ may be taking some time off with his family but we instead of taking care of Club business in his absence.

Karl nods.

Karl Anderson:
And that starts by becoming three-time tag team champions!

Luke Gallows: Heavy Machinery! My pal here tossed you guys out of the ring and now we want to collect.

Karl Anderson:
We want a shot at those titles.

Luke Gallows: Just name the time and the place!

And with that, The Good Brothers drop their microphones sending a challenge out to Heavy Machinery! The commentary team confirms Heavy Machinery are not here tonight taking care of some personal business but will be on next week’s Smackdown and wonder what they will have to say in response to the challenge by The Good Brothers as we cut to a commercial break.

Braun Strowman: What do you want?

Dominik Dijakovic:
Payback.

Braun chuckles.

Braun Strowman: Then why are you standing there talking? How about you get these…

SHINSUKE NAKAMURA ATTACKS BRAUN IN THE BACK OF HIS LEG WITH A LEAD PIPE! Dijakovic joins in laying into Braun as The Ungovernables members beat down the giant with ZELINA VEGA watching on with a smile on her face. Braun tries to fight back but Shinsuke keeps him down for good with a KINSHASA! Braun falls to the floor as Zelina now walks over to his prone body.

Zelina Vega: I told you last week Braun. Soon Smackdown will also be Ungovernables territory.

She walks over to Braun who is left laying on the floor a sight we have rarely seen whilst in the background next to Zelina the TV flickers with the Firefly Funhouse logo which catches her attention before they all walk off elsewhere and we cut back to the ring.

*OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE WORLD*

A mixed reaction from the live crowd as the number one contender to the Universal title BUDDY MURPHY makes his way out heading towards the ring with a rare smile. The commentary team reminds us what happened last on Smackdown with Buddy Murphy eliminating Matt Riddle at the end of last week’s battle royal to earn a Universal title match against Aleister Black at The Great American Bash! They also put over how close he has been to breaking through to the top. Buddy gets into the ring with a microphone as he gets ready to address the live crowd.

Buddy Murphy: For over a year, I’ve been trying to break through. Trying to prove I belong at the top.

He paces around the ring looking angry.

Buddy Murphy: But I keep getting forgotten.

He points at the crowd.

Buddy Murphy: I am known as the best-kept secret in WWE. My skill shouldn’t be a secret at this point. Have you people not been paying attention?

Boos from the crowd but Buddy carries on.

Buddy Murphy: I have been on Smackdown for over a year. Even before that, I ruled over the Cruiserweight division for over six months before being stopped.

He shakes his head getting more pissed off as he speaks.

Buddy Murphy: Over the last year I have been this close to becoming champion time and again but look at last week. I didn’t even get an entrance.

Buddy clenches his fist in anger as he talks about it.

Buddy Murphy: I was treated like I didn’t matter once again. I am sick of the disrespect. I am sick of being treated like an afterthought…

As Buddy is ranting about his treatment, the lights go out and…

A massive pop from the live crowd as ALEISTER BLACK slowly rises from the depth with a serious look on his face. He has the Universal title around his waist before he stands still for a moment at the top of the entrance ramp. He stares at Murphy before slowly walking down the entrance ramp, not taking his eyes off Buddy Murphy. He grabs a microphone from the steps at ringside before joining Buddy in the ring. He takes a moment to look at Murphy before speaking.

Aleister Black: Acknowledgment. Is that what you want?

Buddy nods as he stares down the champion, Aleister gives him a look of disdain.

Aleister Black: No you want attention.

Buddy glares at Black who goes back to his usual stoic expression.

Aleister Black: I remember a man just like you who craved to be acknowledged. I told him to enjoy infamy and he reveled in that before destroying his own career.

It certainly wasn’t a dream ending for them.

Aleister Black: If you want acknowledgment…

Black gets right in Buddy’s face.

Aleister Black: Prove you are worthy of it because right now, I wouldn’t even say your name.

Aleister on that note drops the microphone and leaves the ring, leaving Buddy Murphy standing in the ring looking furious. Aleister Black though doesn’t care as he heads up the entrance ramp as the commentary team talks about what we have just seen and wonder if it is a good idea for Black to wind up Buddy Murphy like that. As Buddy looks more furious than we have ever seen him before we can see LITA and TRISH STRATUS walking down the hallway backstage heading to the ring as the commentary team we will hear from them next!

TRISH STRATUS walks out getting a loud pop from the live crowd. She shares a hug with her tag team partner and best friend. The commentary team mention the pair asked for this time to talk about what’s next for them. Both women play to the crowd a bit before climbing inside the ring with a pair of microphones as Trish looks to speak first.

Trish Stratus: You fans keep reminding me why we keep coming back.

A cheap pop but a very loud one for the legend.

Lita: We always get a hero's welcome and we always appreciate it.

A smile appears on the legends' faces as a small “You deserve it” chant starts up.

Trish Stratus: Stepping back in the ring at the Queen of the Ring, it just felt like we were back home didn’t it Lita?

Lita nods.

Lita: There is nothing like stepping into the ring in front of you fans and leaving it all out there.

Trish Stratus: And also getting to shut the Iiconics up for once is always a bonus.

A little laugh from the two legends who cheer for that statement as the pair smile.

Lita: But once you get that itch, it’s hard to stop.

Trish Stratus: We got the bug again and we want another match!

A massive pop from the live crowd excited to see them in action once again and we even get a “ONE MORE MATCH” chant from the fans.

Lita: We have done nearly every we could back in our day.

Trish Stratus:
Won the women’s title several times.

Lita: Even fought some of the men…

Trish Stratus: And beat them!

The duo shares a fist bump smiling before Lita looks back at the camera.

Lita: But there is one thing we never got the chance to do back in our day.

Trish nods as both speak at the same time.

Both: Become tag team champions!

A massive pop from the live crowd excited at the prospect of seeing these two become tag team champions.

Trish Stratus: Back in our day those belts we not even considered a possibility! But we were the original iconic duo in the Women’s division!

Lita: When you thought of women teaming together before those belts, you would think of us.

A true statement spoken there.

Trish Stratus:
But now, it’s time to add those tag team titles to our legacy!

Loud cheers from the crowd as Lita smirks.

Lita: And that brings us to the tag team champions!

Trish Stratus:
Ronda Rousey!

Nuclear heat from the crowd.

Lita: And Shayna Baszler!

Also getting nuclear heat from the fans in the crowd as the legends smirk.

Trish Stratus: You think you run this women’s division? Why don’t we remind you of the original pillars of this division?

Lita: We are challenging you to put those titles on the line at the Great American Bash!

Lita smirks slightly before wrapping up the promo.

Lita: And don’t worry Ronda, my pal Becky will give me some tips on how to beat you!

A massive pop for that line as Lita and Trish drop their microphones bringing the promo to an end! The duo head up the ramp and slap hands with the fans as the commentary team put over the challenge made for the Great American Bash. They mention as well that with how competitive the division is, the MMA Horsewomen might not even be the team holding the belts at the Great American Bash! The commentary team then confirms after the commercial break that we will see Matt Riddle in action next!

We see clips of her insane strength and speed in combine trials as well as clips of her lifting larger opponents down in NXT!

Bianca Bel-Air: I am the E S T for a reason!

She shouts at the camera showing her anger and how serious she is.

Bianca Bel-Air: In two weeks, whoever steps into the ring with me isn’t ready for what I bring to the table!

A very confident (almost cocky?) Bel-Air.

Bianca Bel-Air:
And I promise you I will remain un-def-eat-ed for a long time!

Bel-Air flips her hair walking off as a graphic appears on the screen confirming we will see her debut in two weeks!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we cut back to the ring, we can see EPICO dressed for action as he is joined by PRIMO who isn’t dressed for action as they wait for…

MATT RIDDLE to make his way to the ring. The crowd gives him a decent reaction as he heads down the entrance ramp as the commentary team puts over his performance on last week’s Smackdown, coming this close to becoming the number one contender. Once in the ring, Matt Riddle has a goofy smile on his face as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 3: Matt Riddle vs Epico w/Primo
Match summary: Right from the bell ringing to start the match, Matt Riddle spends the entire match tossing Epico around with ease and peppering them with MMA style strikes. He puts Epico away in the end with FINAL FLASH (Running jumping knee strike)!

Winner via pinfall: Matt Riddle (1:05)

Cheers from the live crowd as Matt Riddle ends up picking up the win with relative ease. Primo considers trying to attack Riddle after the bell but wisely thinks better of it, dragging his brother out of the ring and retreating to the back. Matt Riddle carries on his celebrations in the ring as the commentary team puts him over as a future champion on the blue brand as we cut to a commercial break.

There is a lot of tension between them as RUBY RIOTT steps forward with SARAH LOGAN lurking in the background.

Ruby Riott: What did you want?

Banks puts her arms up in a defensive manner.

Sasha Banks: I just came to make sure I was on the same page as my partners later on tonight.

She has a slight smirk on her face as Ruby is unimpressed.

Ruby Riott: As long as you don’t get in our way, yeah we are on the same page.

Banks shakes her head.

Sasha Banks: I was more worried about you two getting in my way.

Sarah Logan steps forward confronting the Boss who shows 0 fear.

Sarah Logan: Who do you think you are talking to?

Sasha scoffs.

Sasha Banks: Two women yet to win a single title in WWE.

Both look furious at that line but Sasha carries on.

Sasha Banks: Whilst I am a multiple-time champion!

Ruby shakes her head.

Ruby Riott:
We have been this close to…

Sasha Banks: Close doesn’t cut it, Ruby.

Ruby looks angry but Sasha backs away slightly.

Sasha Banks: Tonight and next week, I’ll show you firsthand how to get to the top. Pay attention. You might learn how to stop choking.

Sasha walks out of the room leaving the Riott Squad looking furious as we cut back to the commentary team at ringside.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The commentary team talks about the tension between both sides and even say the line “CAN THEY CO-EXIST”! However, as they are talking about the main event…

The theme music for the Firefly Funhouse hits and we eventually focus in on BRAY WYATT standing in the Funhouse but instead of being in his usual Mr. Rodgers-inspired outfit, he is dressed in a more Sherlock Holmes out instead confusing the commentary team and the live crowd.

Bray Wyatt: Hey kids and welcome to the Funhouse!

He waves and we can see he is still wearing his signature black gloves.

Bray Wyatt: As you can see there is a mystery afoot on tonight’s Smackdown.

The kids in the Funhouse go “OOOOH” in shock as Bray smiles and the crowd seems confused by that statement. Bray meanwhile pulls out a magnifying glass.

Bray Wyatt: We need to solve the mystery of where Rowe is!

Boos from the live crowd who put 2 and 2 together to work out Bray is behind Rowe’s disappearance. The kids in the Funhouse remain oblivious.

Bray Wyatt: Now I sent my best understudy on the case to investigate. Mercy!

Mercy the Buzzard appears from behind part of the set and turns to Bray.

Bray Wyatt: Mercy, what did you find?

He crouches down in front of the buzzard as the puppet speaks in his deep booming voice.

Mercy the Buzzard: I found the carcass of Rowe.

The puppet laughs as Bray fakes shock.

Bray Wyatt: Wait where do you find him what happened?

Mercy The Buzzard: Wait I have some pictures!

Bray looks confused.

Bray Wyatt: How did you take the picture? You have no hands.

The kids in the funhouse laugh but Mercy ignores the questions and picks up the pictures with his mouth passing them to Bray who looks at them, faking shock. He then turns back to the camera.

Bray Wyatt: Let me show you what happened on the screen kids.

We then cut to a screen with a Firefly Funhouse border around it. The pictures of Rowe in a bloody mess in a crashed car are shown with his out cold before we cut back to a smiling Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt: Well I guess that is what happens when you turn down friendship.

Bray shrugs his shoulders as a goofy “Silly billy” voice goes over the top.

Bray Wyatt: But kids we have solved the mystery of what happened to…

Cheers from the crowd as one-half of the War Raiders HANSON marches out onto the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand and he does not look happy at all!

Hanson: BRAY! BRAY!

Hanson shouts at the top of his lungs furious as Bray in the Funhouse starts to chuckle.

Bray Wyatt: Hanson were you looking for me?

Bray laughs even louder.

Bray Wyatt: You wouldn’t find us…

Bray’s face gets sinister and cold.

Bray Wyatt: We find you. Real soon.

The screen flashes with the Fiend mask appearing on the screen before disappearing! Hanson is left standing there looking furious as he screams off-mic for Bray to face him now! The commentary team talks about never seeing Rowe in that kind of state since the War Raiders arrived in WWE and wonders if Hanson is walking into a potential trap by chasing Bray. They then confirm after the commercial break we will see Bayley take on Lacey Evans in singles action!

Boos from the crowd as LACEY EVANS walks out onto the entrance ramp and marches down the entrance ramp with a purpose. The commentary team talks about her team with Charlotte imploding before the draft and now Lacey is back competing in the singles division so will be looking to defeat a former Women’s Champion in Bayley on tonight’s show.

A loud pop from the live crowd as BAYLEY walks out playing to the crowd and she is joined by her tag team partner KAIRI SANE. Noticeably though, Kairi has her arm in a sling as the commentary team reminds us of the war they went through with the tag team titles on the line against the MMA Horsewomen. We then get told by the commentary that the Hugging Pirates had a few things to say before this match as we cut to a pre-recorded promo.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We see The Hugging Pirates standing backstage hanging out with each other in the medical room as Kairi is getting her arm tapped up with Bayley leading the promo.

Bayley: Queen of the Ring… that was a tough night for us.

Kairi nods whilst wincing in pain.

Bayley: Winning those tag team titles with my friend Kairi at Wrestlemania felt like it filled a hole in my heart after Sasha turned on me.

She looks down at the floor remembering her former best friend turning her back on her last year.

Bayley: And fighting week in week out defending those titles…

She looks at Kairi.

Bayley: They were truly some of the best moments in my career.

Kairi smiles before wincing in pain. Bayley though reaches out and puts a hand on Kairi's shoulder.

Bayley:
Those tag team titles, we’ll get them back as soon as your arm heals.

Kairi fist bumps Bayley since she is unable to hug her right now.

Kairi Sane: Yes, we will.

Both women defiantly nod as we cut back to the ring.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bayley stands across from Lacey whilst Kairi cheers for her at ringside. The referee then calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 4: Bayley w/Kairi Sane vs Lacey Evans

Match summary: Lacey makes a joke about Kairi’s arm once the bell rings and Bayley responds by CLOCKING HER IN THE JAW! Lacey falls to the mat and in the opening few minutes she cannot get a foothold in this match as Bayley not only outpowers her but also outwrestles her! Lacey has to use an eye rake to get back into the match which gets her a telling off by the referee but the First Lady of Smackdown starts to mount a comeback from here and takes control of the match slowly.

In the closing stages of the match, Bayley overcomes the control from Lacey and starts to rung through her with a series of running double axe handles before lifting her up for the BAYLEY TO BELLY… BUT LACEY ESCAPES! Lacey heads to the corner and looks to slip the brass knuckles on her fingers… BUT KAIRI GRABS THEM WITH HER FREE ARM AND TOSSING THEM AWAY! Lacey goes to swing at her but Bayley uses the BACKSTABBER TO PLANT LACEY! Bayley follows up and climbs to the top rope hitting the BAYLEY ELBOW FOR THE WIN!

Winner via pinfall: Bayley (7:08)

A loud pop from the live crowd as Bayley picks up the win on tonight’s Smackdown Live! Kairi Sane joins her in the ring as the duo celebrates together and the commentary team mentions getting wins to get back on track is the best way for the Hugging Pirates to earn a rematch for the WWE Women’s tag team titles. Boos ring out from the live crowd as THE LAST OUTLAWS walk onto the entrance ramp with a pair of microphones and a pair of beers in hand. The commentary team puts over their performance in the battle royal with Bobby Roode making the final 3 of the match before he was eliminated by Buddy Murphy. Corey though makes sure to mention he eliminated his former tag team partner and current United States Champion Chad Gable from the match. Both men are now in the ring taking a sip from their beers as they look to speak.

Bobby Roode:
Last week, it was nearly a success.

James nods agreeing with Bobby.

Bobby Roode: I was this close to earning a shot at the Universal title until Buddy Murphy stabbed me in the back.

Boos from the crowd as clearly Bobby remembers the end of the match in a very different way to the fans.

Bobby Roode: But we move on to the positives as I was able to once again prove who the superior man was out of myself and my former tag team partner Chad Gable!

A decent pop from the live crowd which annoys Bobby.

Bobby Roode: Yeah you cheer for him because you are not glorious like us!

Cheap heat but it does wind the crowd up.

James Storm: Our teamwork was on full display and like a real teammate if I couldn’t win, I set it up for Bobby to win.

They clink their beers together as Bobby carries on.

Bobby Roode:
Chad wouldn’t be able to do that for me.

He takes another swig of his beer.

Bobby Roode: No he always held me back!

Bobby shakes his head.

Bobby Roode: And then whilst I was on the shelf, after I ditched the dead weight. He found himself someone else to leech off of.

James Storm: Our old pal Kurt Angle.

Another swig of the beers as loud cheers for the mention of Kurt Angle.

Bobby Roode: Us and Kurt go way back, we beat him a good few times didn’t we?

The duo clink beer bottles together.

James Storm: Damn right!

Bobby Roode: And Chad I know you need someone new to learn from when I stopped wanting you hanging onto my coattails…

Loud boos from the crowd but Bobby carries on.

Bobby Roode: So you hooked onto Kurt and got yourself the United States title thanks to it.

James Storm:
But we want gold and we both want that title! Sorry about your damn luck because one of us is going to be the next United States Champion!

Boos from the crowd The Last Outlaws looking to carry on but they are stopped by…

A loud pop from the live crowd as CHAD GABLE walks out onto the entrance ramp and he is joined by his manager KURT ANGLE who also has a microphone in his hand. The Last Outlaws taunt the pair from the ring as Kurt speaks first.

Kurt Angle: Let me make one thing clear about this partnership. I approached Chad Gable not the other way around.

Cheers from the crowd as Chad nods looking proudly at his mentor.

Kurt Angle: I saw what he could do and I wanted to take him to the top.

Bobby smirks as Kurt steps forward pointing at him in the ring.

Kurt Angle: And I see you two are the same asshats you have always been!

Loud cheers from the crowd as The Last Outlaws do a spit take upon that line.

Kurt Angle: Bobby I saw you turn on Chad and try to break out on your own. It worked really well for you didn’t it?

Roode steps forward furious.

Bobby Roode: Hey I was on my way to the top and I fought for the Universal title before picking up an injury.

Mod note:
He was in the Elimination Chamber for the Universal title at Stomping Grounds and then got an EWR injury.

Bobby Roode: Without that injury, I would be a champion right now.

Storm steps forward.

James Storm: Luckily he has a good friend like me to have his back.

Kurt smirks.

Kurt Angle:
James, haven’t you learned from your past with him? He’ll stab you in the back again when there is a sniff of gold.

Chad at that point steps forward and lifts the United States title into the air as he looks to speak too.

Chad Gable: I mean Bobby threw me to the side to chase singles gold, why won’t he throw you to the side to claim a shot at this?

Bobby Roode:
No no no Chad. We ain’t playing this game.

He tosses his beer behind him as he points at Chad.

Bobby Roode: I turned my back on you because you were not a good friend. This man…

He grabs James Storm bringing him in close.

Bobby Roode: Is a true friend and that’s why I’m giving him the first shot at your United States title.

James looks confused but smiles.

James Storm: You sure partner?

Bobby nods looking at James.

Bobby Roode: Of course partner. As long as you give me the first shot at the title when you win?

James nods and smiles before necking the rest of his beer.

James Storm: I’ll drink to that.

James tosses the beer bottle back as Chad smirks.

Chad Gable: Well we spoke to Shawn and he was originally going to give you the title match next week Bobby…

Bobby looks angry now.

Chad Gable: But if you want to be a good friend, I’ll fight James next week instead!

Chad drops the microphone bringing the promo to an end as he holds his United States title in the air. James Storm has a big smile on his face promising the title will be his soon as Bobby Roode slightly behind him shakes his head as we cut elsewhere backstage…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As we can see THE USOS are backstage in their locker room and they are with JIMMY USO’S wife NAOMI! JEY USO is noticeably not in a happy mood as Naomi leads the conversation.

Naomi:
As I was saying, Roman is back next week and that means you two need to step up.

Jey scoffs at this whilst Jimmy nods listening to his wife.

Jey Uso: Oh you did that in the Queen of the Ring right?

Naomi glares at Jey.

Naomi: I wasn’t prepared for Piper. If I face her again, I’ll beat her.

Jimmy steps in.

Jimmy Uso: Listen we are family and we need to stick together.

Jey shakes his head before getting up.

Jey Uso:
Uce, I’ll always have your back.

He turns to look at Naomi.

Jey Uso: The rest?

Jey walks off leaving Jimmy and Naomi alone with his wife. The commentary team meanwhile repeats what Naomi said at the start of that promo: Roman Reigns returns to Smackdown next week! They then confirm we will hear a big announcement from Shawn Michaels next before our main event and to not go anywhere!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we return from the commercial break, we can see SHAWN MICHAELS standing backstage in his office with a smile on his face. He is in basically a red cowboy outfit and has a brown hat on as he looks directly at the camera.

Shawn Michaels: Tonight has been a great show and I hope to bring more great shows to the fans who want the HBK experience.

A cheap pop from the live crowd as the legend smiles.

Shawn Michaels:
And on next week’s show I have signed four more matches to go with the Women’s Universal title match and number one contender’s match next week!

Cheers from the crowd hyped for next week’s show.

Shawn Michaels: The first I have made official is Chad Gable will defend his United States title against James Storm!

Confirmation of what was said earlier tonight.

Shawn Michaels: We will also see the number one contender for the Universal title in action as Buddy Murphy takes on Gran Metalik!

A decent pop from the crowd excited to see those two men collide.

Shawn Michaels:
We will also see per his request, Zack Ryder take on Karrion Kross in singles action.

Boos from the crowd hoping to see Edge get his hands on Kross but HBK pauses as he gets ready to announce the final match on next week’s show.

Shawn Michaels: And onto the last match, you people remember how I won the World title for the last time?

Cheers from the crowd who remember his win inside the Elimination Chamber as HBK has a wry smile.

Shawn Michaels:
At the Great American Bash I am bringing back the Elimination Chamber to crowd the number one contender for the Universal title at Summerslam!

A huge match signed for the GAB!

Shawn Michaels:
And the first qualifying match will take place next week between Shinsuke Nakamura and Braun Strowman!

A monster of a qualifying match signed for next week (see what I did there)!

Shawn Michaels: And there will be more qualifying matches in the lead-up to the Bash! But now it is time to cut to the ring for tonight’s main event!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut to the ring as the crowd boos THE RIOTT SQUAD walking to the ring. RUBY RIOTT and SARAH LOGAN make sure to taunt the fans on the way to the ring. The commentary team meanwhile speculates if the words from Sasha Banks will have fired them up to prove her wrong or will have just pissed them off tonight.

A massive mixed reaction as the Legit Boss SASHA BANKS walks to the ring. She soaks in the reaction from the fans posing on the way to the ring. The commentary team talks about Sasha not being happy about losing in the series of matches to Conti as she sees herself as the top star in the WWE. There is clear tension in the ring between the three women who all stare at each other whilst they wait for tonight’s opponents.

A good pop from the live crowd as TAYNARA CONTI and XIA LI walk out onto the entrance ramp together. The tag team partners share a bow with each other before heading towards the ring showing no fear of their opponents in the ring. The commentary put over the run Taynara Conti has been on the last few months including a run to the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. They also put over the ability of Xia Li and wonder if she soon will have the same kind of break-out performances Conti has had.

A loud pop from the live crowd as EMBER MOON walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp with the WWE Women’s title proudly around her waist. She has a smile on her face, something she has been missing during her war with Asuka. The commentary team put over how many times Ember has defended her title since winning it and is a fighting champion. Ember joins Conti in the ring as they share a nod with Ember starting for her team. On the other side, Ruby argues with Sasha before starting the match as the Boss shakes her head and Logan gives her daggers. The referee then rings the bell to get this match underway!

Main event: Tag team match: Sasha Banks and The Riott Squad vs Ember Moon, Taynara Conti and Xia Li

Match summary:
The match starts off with the champion resuming hostilities with Sarah Logan after her rivalry with the Riott Squad last year. Ember controls the exchange before being forced to make the tag to Sasha Banks. Ember and Banks have a staredown getting loud cheers from the crowd wanting these two to collide but instead, Conti asks to be tagged in so Ember agrees! Conti steps into the ring and the two rivals come face to face before trading blows in the middle of the ring with venom!

The two women carry on firing off at each other with Sasha being sent back to the corner bringing Ruby into the match. Ruby gives Conti a tough time and she is forced to make the tag to Xia Li. Xia impresses for a little bit with her kicks but soon the Riott Squad works together to isolate her in the corner with Sasha Banks joining in with the attack but mostly focusing on taunting Xia’s partner in the other corner. Xia though eventually escapes and makes the hot tag bringing Conti back into the match as we approach the closing stages!

Taynara Conti is on fire as she lays into the now-legal Sarah Logan with kicks slamming her down to the mat! Ruby Riott tries to charge into the ring but Conti takes her down with a judo throw before daring Sasha to come at her… BUT THE BOSS SHAKES HER HEAD AND WALKS TO THE BACK LEAVING HER TAG PARTNERS HIGH AND DRY! Boos from the crowd as Conti walks over to Ember and makes the tag as she takes care of Ruby with the DD-TAY whilst Ember lines up Sarah Logan and hits THE ECLIPSE! Ember makes the cover and picks up the win for her team!

Winners via pinfall: Ember Moon, Taynara Conti and Xia Li (10:17)

A loud pop from the live crowd as the faces celebrate their victory tonight whilst Ruby rolls to the outside annoyed with the loss and even angrier as she sees Sasha taunting her with a wave. Ruby gets to her feet and chases after Sasha, leaving Conti and Moon in the ring alone. Ember Moon lifts her WWE Women’s title into the air as she has a stare-down with Taynara Conti. The show comes to a close with the commentary team reminding us what will take place on next week’s show as we fade to black.

- Roman Reigns coming back next week...I mean I didn't think Roman would be back for months especially after he was thrown off of the top of the Hell In a Cell structure...internal injuries and all and to come back in such a quick time...that is almost super human or even Herculean to come back from all that

- The Bloodline is about to take over Smackdown with Roman set to come back, then you have The Usos and then Naomi

- It seems Aleister Black the WWE Universal Champion doesn't think much of his #1 Contender Buddy Murphy and really why should he? I mean with Murphy when I look at him, I just don't see Main Event caliber star in him

- But an Elimination Chamber Match to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam at the Great American Bash...I bet Roman Reigns he strong arms his way into the match

- Bray Wyatt he takes out Rowe but it is clear he will take out Hanson next...then what? Like what is The Fiend's endgame here? None of this makes any sense

- Trish & Lita want the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship from Ronda & Shayna, but will Rousey & Baszler accept the challenge?

- Chad Gable defending the WWE United States Championship against James Storm...I bet Gable he will probably have to defend his title against both men and it somehow ends up being a Triple Threat Match at The Bash because I see Roode getting involved

- Zelina Vega can say Smackdown is becoming Ungovernables territory but I think Roman and The Bloodline will have something to say about that or The Church of Rollins will too...better to go back to your own show of RAW and stay there

- The Club targeting Heavy Machinery and the Smackdown Tag Team Championships...I definitely wanna see that match

- But Edge/Kross I definitely wanna see that match happen because it is a Dream Match

Monday Night Raw
June 22nd 2020
Tulsa, Oklahoma

BOK Center

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monday Night Raw’s usual opening video comes to an end and the commentary team welcomes everyone to tonight’s show! The commentary team then run down tonight’s confirmed matches:

  • Franky Monet and Dana Brooke team for the first time against The Twisted Sisters
  • Number one contender for the WWE title Sheamus takes on his former tag team partner Cesaro
  • Charlotte Flair and Natalya team up to take on Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir
  • Two qualifying matches for the Cruiserweight number one contender’s ladder match: Lince Dorado vs Oney Lorcan and Noam Dar vs Ricochet
  • Randy Orton will take on Angelo Dawkins
  • And in the main event: Shayna Baszler will defend her Women’s Universal title against Nia Jax

But after the commentary team finishes running down the confirmed matches for tonight’s show…

A massive pop as the WWE Champion DREW MCINTYRE walks out onto the stage with the WWE title around his waist taking his time as his iconic theme plays. He takes his time soaking in the reaction from the live crowd. The commentary team put over Drew wanting to be a fighting champion and in two weeks faces a challenge from a man who not only loves a fight but Drew has known for many years: SHEAMUS! Drew eventually climbs over the ropes and stands in the ring with a microphone ready to speak to the live crowd.

Drew McIntyre: Hello Oklahoma!

A cheap but loud pop from the live crowd as Drew carries on.

Drew McIntyre: One of the best things about being a champion is coming to cities like this and being able to stand in front of you knowing I am your champion!

More cheers for the bigging up of the live crowd.

Drew McIntyre: And as a champion, I’m always looking for a good fight. I want to defend this title and beat all challengers. I don’t want to be a coward like Andrade was hiding behind his cronies…

Shots fired at the former Universal Champion.

Drew McIntyre: Or Brock Lesnar never being around to defend this title!

And shots fired at the other half of the number one contender’s match at Armageddon!

Drew McIntyre: No I want to fight anyone and everyone who steps up... including friends of mine.

A smile appears on Drew’s face as he starts to talk about his friend Sheamus.

Drew McIntyre: Let me take you on a trip down memory lane.

He takes a moment to grab a steel chair and take a seat in the ring ready to speak to the fans.

Drew McIntyre: As many of you know, myself and Sheamus come from the British Isles. Trust me you don’t want to tell Sheamus he is British.

A slight chuckle from the Scot here.

Drew McIntyre: We both came onto the UK independent scene at the same time and naturally we were opponents a lot of the time.

He smiles remising over those days.

Drew McIntyre: We fought a lot and those fights… we beat the hell out of each other!

A smile on Drew’s face clearly enjoying the challenge Sheamus posed for him.

Drew McIntyre:
And through those fights, we realized we were kindred spirits. Cut from the same cloth and we became friends for life.

Cheers from the crowd as Drew looks at the fans.

Drew McIntyre:
Do you know who was the first to call me when I was fired from the WWE? It was Sheamus.

He gets slightly down as he thinks back to when he was let go from WWE.

Drew McIntyre: He helped kick me out of my slump and realize I needed to work ten times harder to get back to where I belong which is right here!

A massive pop from the crowd as the fired-up Drew is now back on his feet.

Drew McIntyre: His words help fuel my passion to get back here and now like him, I’ve held this title!

He lifts the WWE title into the air.

Drew McIntyre: And now I get the chance to fight my best friend for this title in the main event. That’s what dreams are made of.

The crowd is going wild fired up by Drew’s speech.

Drew McIntyre: And I promise you it will be the fight of a lifetime! So…

Boos from the confused audience not expecting ILJA DRAGUNOV to come out and interrupt Drew mid-speech. The Mad Russian (with his World tag team title around his waist) oddly is alone and without the rest of The Ungoverables including their manager Zelina Vega as he points at Drew in the ring.

Ilja Dragunov: Drew, perestan' khvalit' etogo cheloveka. On vsego lish' boltun, kotoromu ne khvatayet uvazheniya.

Boos from the crowd due to that not being in English was Drew remains unfazed.

Drew McIntyre: Ilja, I don’t mean to be rude but I don’t speak Russian so could you…

Ilja Dragunov: Well learn like I had to learn your vile tongues!

Cheap heat from the crowd as Ilja points at Drew.

Ilja Dragunov: Your friend sticks into business that’s not his! Enough!

Ilja carries on marching toward the ring as Drew shrugs.

Drew McIntyre: Then go speak to him Ilja. I’m his friend not his keeper!

Cheers from the crowd but Ilja is clearly not happy with that answer and gets into the ring.

Ilja Dragunov:
He wants to insult my friends, I’ll deal with his.

Drew raises an eyebrow.

Drew McIntyre: If you want a fight, all you had to do was ask.

Both men get in each other’s faces as the tension is clear before Drew speaks again.

Drew McIntyre: Get a referee out here and we’ll do this right now!

Drew drops the microphone and Ilja does the same as both men stare each other down whilst a referee runs to the ring as requested! The commentary team meanwhile confirms that Wade Barrett has made the match official and it will happen after the commercial break!

Match 1: Drew McIntyre vs Ilja Dragunov
Match summary: We return from the commercial break with the match already underway as they batter each other with a series of hard strikes. The two men are evenly matched with the Cruiserweight holding his own against Drew. The commentary team also mentions if Ilja can pull off an upset win tonight, he might earn a future WWE title match. They also however note that a win for Drew and him finding a partner could lead to him getting a future World tag team title shot!

Ilja is laying into Drew with hard strikes as he lets out a lot of anger at recent events with Sheamus’s interactions with his tag team partner Cesaro. Drew though starts to take control and overpowers Ilja slamming him around. The WWE Champion starts to remind us why he is the current WWE Champion as he tosses the smaller foe around. Drew even makes sure to give Ilja the BEATS OF THE BODRAN for good measure which hurts Ilja but also fires up the Mad Russian!

The Mad Russian starts to mount a fightback as we enter the closing stages and really lays into Drew with a ton of European Uppercuts and kicks to Drew overwhelming the champion who struggles to stay on top here! Ilja manages to get Drew in position as he lines him up for TORPEDO MOSCOW! He waits for Drew to rise before charging in… DREW TAKES HIS HEAD OFF WITH A CLAYMORE! Ilja charged right into it and is out cold as Drew makes the cover picking up a tough win over one-half of the tag team champions!

Winner via pinfall: Drew McIntyre (13:25)

Drew McIntyre gets to his feet and clutches his mid-section which is beaten red by the hard chops of Ilja Dragunov! The commentary gives Ilja Dragunov credit for giving Drew McIntyre such a hard fight but also mentions if Drew finds a partner, he has a claim to a future tag team title shot. The WWE Champion carries on posing in the ring and we cut elsewhere backstage as…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KALISTO is walking through the back and bumps into his tag team partner LINCE DORADO! Both men high-five each other before sharing a hug and we can see both men smiling.

Kalisto: Hey Lince, picking up the win on Main Event!

Lince smiles and slightly chuckles.

Lince Dorado: And you? Beating Baron Corbin! Lucha House Party is back!

Another high-five between the two luchadors as Kalisto smiles.

Kalisto: And next week I get to beat Danny Burch to enter the Cruiserweight ladder match!

Lince smiles.

Lince Dorado: I’ll see you there, bro after I beat Oney Lorcan!

Both men are in good spirits as we get confirmation of two of the Cruiserweight ladder match qualifiers as they head off elsewhere backstage and we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see ILJA DRAGUNOV entering THE UNGOVERNABLES locker room backstage looking a bit beaten up after his match with Drew earlier tonight. ANGEL GARZA and EVA MARIE are making out with each other in the corner whilst ZELINA VEGA is talking with ANDRADE as they come up with a plan for Brock Lesnar at Armageddon but we see CESARO walk over to Ilja to confront his tag team partner.

Cesaro: What was that?

Ilja gives him a look as Zelina and Andrade’s attention turns to the tag team champions.

Cesaro: Why are you getting involved in my personal business?

Ilja Dragunov: Him insulting you, him insulting me. That’s my business.

Zelina steps in between them as he tries to calm things down.

Zelina Vega: OK that is enough. Ilja thought he was doing what was best for you and The Ungovernables.

Cesaro turns to his boss.

Cesaro: He could have asked…

Andrade Cien Almas:
He asked me.

Cesaro and Andrade get eye to eye as the tension between them is clear.

Andrade Cien Almas:
And I told him to not let disrespect slide like you do.

Cesaro: I have let nothing slide! The only one letting things slide is the man without a title!

Andrade takes off his sunglasses looking furious at that dig. Zelina though is not putting up with this any longer.

Zelina Vega:
ENOUGH!

Both turn to their leader but stay quiet. Angel meanwhile stops kissing Eva for a moment to pay attention before going back to having fun with Eva.

Zelina Vega: This bickering needs to stop. Ilja did what he thought was best for the group. Andrade is going to get his gold back and Cesaro?

The Swiss Superman glares at Zelina.

Zelina Vega: Go show Sheamus what happens when he disrespects us.

Cesaro takes a moment before nodding and leaving the room as the tension is clear between some of the Ungovernables at the moment as we cut to the ring for the next match!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*X*

Cheers from the live crowd as THE TWISTED SISTERS walk out onto the entrance ramp and head to the ring. The commentary team informs us the sisters had a few things to say before this match about their opponents tonight!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut to a pre-recorded promo as NIKKI CROSS and ISLA DAWN stand in front of the camera ready to speak.

Isla Dawn: Franky? Did you think we forget what you did to us?

Nikki Cross: Nikki ain’t forgotten. Nikki still wants to play.

Isla looks at her tag team partner with a smile.

Isla Dawn: You cheated to beat us and we want payback so tonight we will show why you don’t cross witches.

Nikki Cross: It’s time to play.

Nikki tilts her head and gives a crazy smile as we cut back to the ring waiting for their opponents to make their entrance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boos from the crowd as FRANKY MONET and DANA BROOKE walk out onto the entrance ramp. Franky makes a point to taunt the fans on the way to the ring with Dana Brooke following her new ally and tag team partner. The commentary team reminds us how these two became a team and wonder if this will breathe new life into Dana Brooke’s career. Once in the ring, Dana Brooke starts for her team whilst Nikki Cross starts for the Twisted Sisters as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 2: Franky Monet and Dana Brooke vs The Twisted Sisters
Match summary: Dana Brooke shows off newfound aggression as she lays into the Twisted Sisters during this match. Dana Brooke and Franky gel well as a team and whilst the Twisted Sisters do have more experience teaming together, in the end, Franky puts away Isla Dawn with THE ROAD TO VALHALLA!

Winners via pinfall: Franky Monet and Dana Brooke (5:53)
Boos from the crowd as Franky Monet gets to her feet and is joined by her new underling Dana Brooke as they celebrate their victory tonight over The Twisted Sisters. The commentary team wonders if Team Kick are ready for them and says Franky will want to get some gold around her waist like her husband. The celebrations carry on as the show cuts to a commercial break.

A decent pop from the live crowd though a few boos due to his recent rivalry with Mustafa Ali as DOLPH ZIGGLER makes his way to the ring! He has a microphone in hand and the commentary reminds us that Dolph Ziggler and Mustafa Ali have been awarded spots in the number one contender’s Cruiserweight ladder match on the condition there is no psychical contact between the two men before the match. Dolph Ziggler gets into the ring and looks at the live crowd before he starts to speak to the fans.

Dolph Ziggler: These last few months have reminded me of the last few years of my career. Disappointing.

Ziggler sighs before carrying on.

Dolph Ziggler: Time and again I think I’m going to achieve my potential, the potential I lost and then I fail once again.

Ziggler shakes his head.

Dolph Ziggler: It hurts. I’ve considered retiring to escape from the weight of my own failures.

The crowd is unsure how to react as Ziggler walks around the ring.

Dolph Ziggler: But I keep coming back because I love this too much!

Ziggler starts to fire up and raises his voice.

Dolph Ziggler:
I became the North American champion down in NXT and I thought that would be the kickstart I needed but I feel back into old habitats.

He leans on the ropes.

Dolph Ziggler: But then I saw something new. I knew I needed to try something new and I cut weight to enter the Cruiserweight division.

He walks back towards the middle of the ring and shows off his abs showing the work he did to cut to the correct weight.

Dolph Ziggler: I earned the shot at Wrestlemania finally getting the one-on-one match I’ve craved at the show of shows for years… and I lost!

You can hear the pain in his voice as Ziggler crouches down on the mat.

Dolph Ziggler: I failed again! But I know I am still good enough to be a champion but Ali couldn’t accept that!

This gets a few boos from the crowd but Ziggler ignores them.

Dolph Ziggler: I tried to help him in his battles with Angel Garza and without me, he would have lost his Cruiserweight title even sooner!

More boos from the crowd here which prompts a look from Ziggler before carrying on.

Dolph Ziggler: And since then he has been fighting with me because he knows he is to blame for him losing his title!

Even more boos from the crowd who are starting to turn against Dolph in this promo but before he can carry on…

A loud pop from the live crowd as MUSTAFA ALI walks out in a shirt and jeans with a microphone in hand as he points at Ziggler in the ring!

Mustafa Ali: Dolph when you first came after the Cruiserweight title I actually had some sympathy for you. I actually cared about this self-pity routine.

Ziggler scrunches his face as Ali carries on walking down the entrance ramp.

Mustafa Ali: I felt bad for you because you were someone I was trying to break into wrestling I kind of looked up to.

Mustafa climbs into the ring and comes face-to-face with Ziggler.

Mustafa Ali: Now when I look at you? I feel disgusted at the shell you’ve become!

Strong words from Ali as Ziggler looks close to hitting him but he holds his fist back knowing he loses a spot on the PPV if he attacks Ali.

Mustafa Ali: You were someone fighting for injustice, fighting for the underdog but now? All you do is cry and complain because you wasted your potential!

Ali points at Ziggler who looks furious but says nothing. Ali then points back at himself.

Mustafa Ali: Me? I’m not going to complain about how I lost my title because I’m now ready for Angel’s game and I will be winning that ladder match to get my rightful…

Dolph Ziggler: NO!

Ali and Ziggler are eye to eye.

Dolph Ziggler: I’m not letting another opportunity to hold gold slip through my fingers. I will not let the future take the present from me any longer!

A mixed reaction from the fans but a lot are starting to dislike Ziggler’s attitude here!

Dolph Ziggler: I will climb that ladder and I will be Cruiserweight champion! And if you try to stop me… I’ll end your career before it’s even started.

Ali now looks close to punching him as Ziggler drops the microphone and goes to leave but Ali isn’t done!

Mustafa Ali: Dolph I will do whatever I need to if it means getting my title back and if that means taking you down for good, so be it!

Ali drops the microphone looking fired up as he stares down the champion with both rivals ready to go to war with each other in the ladder match at Armageddon. The commentary team also hypes up the fact we will find out who enters the match as well tonight and next week but for now, we are going to hear from THE MIZ after his loss last week to Xavier Woods in the number one contender’s match for the IC title!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut to what looks like THE MIZ’s house which looks very fancy. He clearly looks unhappy as his wife MARYSE is by his side at the property.

The Miz: Last week Morrison and his bodyguard attacked me because they know I can beat him. They know I am superior to him.

Miz winces as he is clearly in pain after what he went through last week.

The Miz:
And the only thing keeping me from being in that arena is the fact the doctors are refusing to clear me.

Maryse turns to her husband.

Maryse: I know you are mad honey but you need to be smart about this.

Miz sighs but he nods agreeing with his wife.

The Miz: I will be cleared to return next week and John, whether you still hold that Intercontinental title by Armageddon is over I will be coming back for revenge.

Miz shakes his head.

The Miz: This won’t end until one of us is gone from Raw I can assure you.

The promo comes to an end as we cut back to the commentary team who points out we rarely see that kind of anger and aggression from The Miz. They then confirm after the commercial break we will see Sheamus take on Cesaro in singles action next!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ad break
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A mixed reaction from the live crowd but it is mostly boos as CESARO walks out to the ring alone and still in a pissed-off mood. He does his shotgun arms taunt but otherwise stays mostly stoic. The commentary team makes sure to remind us of the history between Sheamus and Cesaro as part of The Bar maybe being a key reason for the tension between the two men.

Loud cheers from the live crowd as SHEAMUS walks out with a smile on his face, two weeks away from fighting for the WWE title at Armageddon against one of his closest friends Drew McIntyre. The commentary mentions his history of fighting his friends with the Bar being formed due to them fighting with each other for weeks on end. Sheamus climbs into the ring as Cesaro glares at him whilst Sheamus is all smiles telling Cesaro he wanted a fight. The referee then calls for the bell to get this match underway!

He gets to his feet as the referee raises his arm into the air and commentary reminds us if Sheamus can find a partner, he has a claim to a tag team title shot at a later date. Cesaro gets to his feet and rubs his jaw in pain as Sheamus turns to his former tag team partner. The two men stare each other down and Sheamus offers him a HANDSHAKE!

He keeps the arm extended as Cesaro looks at it but the Swiss Superman shakes his head and leaves the ring getting boos from the live crowd. Sheamus calls after his former tag team partner but Cesaro doesn’t care leaving the ringside area angry at having come up short against the Celtic Warrior tonight. When we return from the commercial break, we can see an angry SAMOA JOE pacing up and down backstage!

Samoa Joe: Swerve! You cheated me last week!

Joe stops for a moment and shakes his head getting, even more wound up.

Samoa Joe: No that’s not why I am mad. I’m angry because I was outsmarted by you.

Joe takes a deep breath before carrying on.

Samoa Joe:
Well done Swerve. You won against me. Not many men can say that.

Joe pauses in the middle of the room as he seems to be thinking about what he is going to say next.

Samoa Joe: I don’t know if I want to kill you for it or praise you for it.

Joe stops pacing for a moment before glaring at the camera.

Samoa Joe:
Soon MVP, you will have your answer.

Joe lets out a sinister smirk.

Samoa Joe: But you may not like the answer…

Joe walks bringing the promo to an end as we cut back to the commentary team at ringside.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The commentary team talks about the Hurt Business trying to recruit not only Samoa Joe but also Big E in the last couple of weeks. They wonder what the answer will be from Joe and says we will hear from MVP later on tonight.

A loud pop from the live crowd as THE NEW DAY members BIG E and XAVIER WOODS walk out onto the top of the entrance ramp! The commentary team reminds us they are down a man as Kofi Kingston is still out with injury but Big E and Woods are going to new heights these last few months. Big E shows off his Money in the Bank briefcase in New Day-inspired colors whilst Xavier grabs a pair of microphones as the number one contender for the Intercontinental title looks to address the live crowd.

Xavier Woods: Oklahoma, how are you people doing?

A loud cheap pop as Xavier has a smile on his face.

Xavier Woods: Last week was one of the biggest nights in my career.

A smile appears on Xavier’s face.

Xavier Woods: In my time in WWE, I’ve never ever been given a one-on-one singles title match before.

Thank you, a tweet from Xavier in real life confirms this statement for me.

Xavier Woods: I have been in this coming for nearly ten years but unlike my brothers, I never got a shot.

Big E looks apologetic but Xavier shakes his head.

Xavier Woods:
E, it’s not your guy’s fault and there is no jealousy on my part.

Cheers from the crowd as the duo smile.

Xavier Woods: Being with you on both your journeys to the top and part of your success? Those were the highlights of my career.

Cheers from the crowd as Woods turns to the crowd.

Xavier Woods: But I want success too. I want us all to thrive and whilst you have a ticket to the WWE or Universal title…

Big E shows off his briefcase once again.

Xavier Woods:
I want to hold gold of my own.

He smiles as Big E speaks.

Big E: On the road with you, there were two things you have talked about wanting more than anything. To be King of the Ring…

King Woods does have a nice ring to it.

Big E: And to become Intercontinental Champion!

Woods smiles as Big E hypes up his friend.

Big E: You deserve this chance and you deserve to be a champion. Everyone knows how good you are, Kofi knows how great you are and these people know how great you are!

Woods nods as Big E carries on hyping him up.

Big E: And I know if John Morrison didn’t pull his cheap trick at Wrestlemania, you would have won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Woods nods as he looks to speak.

Xavier Woods:
I gave you the benefit of the doubt John that you might have actually been injured but somehow you were even more of a coward than Miz ever was!

Loud cheers as the crowd gets behind Woods. He looks to carry on but he is soon interrupted by…

Loud boos from the crowd as the Intercontinental Champion JOHN MORRISON walks out with his wife FRANKY MONET on his arm and ERICK ROWAN standing behind him. John has a smirk on his face as he points at the New Day in the ring.

John Morrison: Xavier congratulations on finally attempting to step out of the shadow of Big E and Kofi took you long enough.

Loud boos from the crowd as The New Day in the ring remain unimpressed by this.

John Morrison: Hey I don’t mean it to offend him. I was just commenting on advice I should have taken long ago.

Big E steps forward piping up.

Big E:
I mean if you ask me you are still in Miz’s shadow since you keep talking about him!

A loud pop from the crowd who even start a “Miz’s shadow” chant which pisses off Morrison as Franky grabs the microphone and points at the crowd!

Franky Monet: Show my husband some respect!

This just gets loud boos and an increase in the chants as Morrison takes the microphone back.

John Morrison: Enough!

The crowd slows down the booing a bit as Woods giggles in the ring making Morrison even madder as he steps forward pointing at The New Day.

John Morrison: Xavier you can laugh all you want but when people think of the New Day you will always be the third man.

Woods is no longer laughing as John carries on twisting the knife.

John Morrison: You don’t have a chance of stopping me and you will go back to carrying E’s bags!

Big E leans on the ropes and points at Morrison.

Big E: Why don’t you come to this ring and say this to our face?

Rowan steps forward ready to accept the challenge but Morrison and Monet stop him.

John Morrison: A champion doesn’t just fight any random person. I already fought last week.

Boos from the crowd for the cowardice of Morrison as Woods now speaks.

Xavier Woods:
Then how about next week we face you and your bodyguard where I show you first-hand that I am not in anyone’s shadow and that I am capable of being a champion!

The New Day drops the microphone as John Morrison nods and shouts off-mic that they are on bringing the promo to an end. The commentary team confirmed Wade Barrett backstage has made the match official as the two teams stare each other down before we cut to the commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, THE NEW DAY are walking through the back when they are stopped by MVP! MVP has a smile on his face as he approaches the two with BIG E looking wary after their last conversation two weeks ago.

MVP: E, Woods I just want to once again offer you the chance to join the Hurt Business.

Big E looks confused as Woods speaks.

Xavier Woods: Didn’t you make a pitch for Big E to join you two weeks ago without me or Kofi?

MVP holds his arms up defensively.

MVP: That’s on me for not explaining clearly Woods. See I know you three are a package deal but I don’t think you should be alone.

Woods and Big E look at MVP curious as he carries on.

MVP: Look at what you have achieved together. Look at what Kofi achieved. Look at what you are on the cusp of achieving.

MVP looks at the briefcase before looking back at Woods.

MVP: You too Woods.

Woods looks annoyed at that dismissive comment from MVP but stays quiet.

MVP: But you need to be able to not have to focus on each other.

That makes Big E tilt his head.

MVP:
If you were part of the Hurt Business, I could help make sure both of you had your focus on what’s important.

He looks at Big E’s briefcase.

MVP: Like finding the right time to cash in.

Big E shakes his head having heard enough.

Big E: I already know when I’m cashing this in. At Wrestlemania!

He slams the briefcase making his point clear as MVP shakes his head but Big E carries on.

Big E: I appreciate the offer and advice but I made it to the top with my boys, always having each other’s back and I’m not changing that ever.

Big E and Xavier walk off leaving MVP standing there looking annoyed before cutting back to the ring for the next match on the show.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boos from the crowd as we return to the ring and see THE MMA HORSEWOMEN’S main goons MARINA SHAFIR and JESSAMYN DUKE walking to the ring. The commentary team mentions they will be on a mission from Shayna and Ronda to not only win this match but to also hurt Charlotte and Natalya who have been a pain in their leader’s side the last few weeks.

A decent pop from the live crowd as NATALYA walks out onto the stage and stares down the two goons. The commentary team reminds us she is the number one contender for the Women’s Universal title and will be fighting Shayna Baszler at Armageddon! She waits at the top of the entrance ramp for her tag team partner…

CHARLOTTE FLAIR still gets a mixed reaction from the crowd but there is a decent amount of cheers as she joins her tag team partner at the top of the entrance ramp. The commentary team points out that whilst Charlotte does want the Women’s Universal title, she first of all wants to settle the score with Ronda. They remind us Charlotte sees herself as the Queen of the Women’s division and Ronda trying to take it over pisses her off. Once in the ring, Duke starts for her team whilst Natalya starts for the faces.

Match 4: Charlotte Flair and Natalya vs Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir
Match summary: Natalya and Charlotte Flair dominate the match from start to finish not finding the MMA Horsewomen to be too much trouble to handle. In the end, Natalya locks in Duke as the legal woman in the SHARPSHOOTER whilst Charlotte locks Marina in the FIGURE EIGHT and both the MMA Horsewomen tap out!

Winners via submission: Charlotte Flair and Natalya (4:31)

Cheers from the live crowd as Charlotte and Natalya release the holds on the goons before getting to their feet as the referee raises the second-generation duo's hands into the air. The commentary team put over how dominant the performance was and it puts them in good stead for fighting the Women’s tag team champions. Natalya and Charlotte soon each ask for microphones which are passed to them by stagehands from ringside.

Natalya: Shayna Baszler! Did you see what we did to yours and Ronnie's goons?

Cheers from the crowd as the MMA Horsewomen roll out of the ring and retreat to the back licking their wounds.

Natalya: Some people may have forgotten but I taught Ronda when she first came to WWE!

A true fact.

Natalya:
And whilst I taught her a lot, I didn’t teach her everything I know. So Shayna if you think Ronda is going to give you the cheat code to beat me, you are mistaken!

Natalya is more fired up than normal here.

Natalya: I’m coming for revenge. You injured my best friend and put her on the shelf. Now I get payback for her!

Cheers from the crowd as Charlotte looks to speak now.

Charlotte Flair: Ronda, I still ain’t heard an answer to my challenge yet!

Charlotte shouts as she is clearly annoyed at being ignored.

Charlotte Flair: I know maybe you are scared of being made to tap out again…

A few fans start up a “Becky” chant which Charlotte doesn’t react to.

Charlotte Flair:
But c’mon on Ronda. When are you going to answer me?

Cheers from the crowd as Charlotte walks around the ring. She looks to say more but we soon get an answer as RONDA ROUSEY and SHAYNA BASZLER appear on the titantron! Ronda has her tag team title on her right shoulder whilst Shayna has hers on her right shoulder and the Women’s Universal title on her left as she speaks first.

Shayna Baszler: Natalya, you did “train” Ronda.

Shayna does air quotation marks.

Shayna Baszler: But honestly, she used very little of your training. She was already better than everyone in WWE.

Loud boos from the crowd but Shayna carries on.

Shayna Baszler: I will crush you Natalya and I hope Beth has a spare bed next to her in the hospital because you will be joining her!

Natalya furious lifts the microphone up and points at the titantron!

Natalya: Why don’t you two come to the ring right now and I’ll give you two a beating like we gave the other two Horsewomen!

Ronda chuckles.

Ronda Rousey: I’m a star. I don’t need to be there every week even with these tag team titles.

Boos from the crowd as Shayna takes back over.

Shayna Baszler: Natalya we will destroy you both on our terms, not yours. And the same goes for legends.

Ronda Rousey: Trish and Lita. We will respond to your challenge on Smackdown!

Boos from the crowd who want an answer tonight but Charlotte wants an answer of her own.

Charlotte Flair: Do I have to wait till Smackdown to hear if you are going to step up Ronnie?

Ronda smirks clearly annoyed.

Ronda Rousey:
Charlotte, I know being in Becky’s shadow hurts…

The crowd once again starts a Becky chant prompting a pause from Ronda who glares at them before carrying on.

Ronda Rousey: But I’m not afraid of you or her!

The crowd clearly disagrees with that.

Ronda Rousey: I’ve wanted my revenge for months so Charlotte, I accept your challenge for Armageddon!

Loud cheers from the live crowd as Ronda makes the big women’s match official for the PPV! Charlotte smiles having gotten what she wanted as the commentary team hypes up the Women’s Universal title match for the PPV but also the Ronda versus Charlotte II clash as well! The show then cuts to a commercial break as commentary confirms that we will be hearing from the Hurt Business shortly and then see Lince Dorado take on Oney Lorcan in a Cruiserweight number one contender’s ladder match qualifier!

We return from the commercial break and we can see MVP talking to the rest of THE HURT BUSINESS! Both ISAIAH “SWERVE” STRICKLAND and LIO RUSH are nodding listening to their leader as RENEE YOUNG approaches them looking for an interview.

Renee Young: Montel, you asked for this time to speak.

MVP turns to Renee with a smile.

MVP:
Thank you, Renee. The reason I have asked for this time is to confirm that my client Lio Rush next week will take on Akira Tozawa with the winner entering the number one contender’s Cruiserweight ladder match at Armageddon!

Another qualifying match signed off for next week’s show. Renee though looks to as some questions whilst she has MVP there.

Renee Young: Whilst I have you hear can I ask some thoughts on your potential recruits turning you down?

MVP looks angry at that question but fakes a smile.

MVP: Renee, not everyone can see the vision like these two men can.

Swerve smiles in the background showing a toothy grin and showing off his grills. Lio Rush though smiles seeing the fruits of being in the Hurt Business.

MVP: But whilst Big E and Woods want to stay in what worked in the past… Joe still hasn’t turned me down, Renee.

Renee Young:
You think he is going to join you after how Swerve beat him?

Swerve steps forward at this point.

Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland: I showed Joe where he is going wrong Renee.

She seems confused as Swerve grabs hold of her by the shoulder in a hugging position.

Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland: See he isn’t thinking as smart as he used to. Me?

Swerve points at himself.

Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland: I listened to what Montel had to tell me and he promised he would take me to the top. Now I was skeptical at first…

Swerve puts his hand on his chest before carrying on.

Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland: But I listened to the vision and now? I am on Monday Night Raw with a ticket to the top! Beating former champions like Samoa Joe.

A big smile on MVP and Swerve’s face now but Swerve soon gets more serious.

Isaiah “Swerve” Strickland: But the clock is ticking Joe. You’ve got to make a choice soon or the door will close.

MVP nods standing next to Swerve.

MVP: Joe I’m going to give you a couple of weeks but the Hurt Business needs an answer.

Lio steps forward.

Lio Rush: Because with or without you we making it to the top.

MVP: And I can assure you Joe, business is booming.

The Hurt Business all walk off bringing the interview to an end as we cut back to the ring for the next match.

A decent pop from the live crowd as LINCE DORADO walks to the ring with his tag team partner and close friend KALISTO! The luchadors play to the kids in the live crowd before stepping into the ring. The commentary team points out Lince picking up some wins on Main Event earning this qualifying match against…

ONEY LORCAN walks out onto the entrance ramp with purpose and he is joined by his tag team partner DANNY BURCH! Both men mean-mug the fans and the camera on the way to the ring. The commentary team put over how close these two men have come to gold but always just miss out. Oney steps into the ring glaring at Lince Dorado as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 5: Qualifying match: Lince Dorado w/Kalisto vs Oney Lorcan w/Danny Burch
Match summary: Lince starts off the match at a fast pace and Oney struggles to keep up with the fast pace of the luchador. Both men’s tag team partners give them encouragement from ringside in this match with Danny being a lot more aggressive in his cheering for Oney. In the closing stages of the match, Oney cuts off Lince hitting him with a series of hard strikes to the heat before lifting him up and hitting the HALF AND HALF SUPLEX FOR THE WIN!

Winner via pinfall: Oney Lorcan (5:18)

Oney gets to his feet and remains calm as he stoically stares into the camera having picked up the win in this short but explosive match. The commentary put over Lince for putting on a decent showing but in the end, Oney was too much for him. After the bell, Kalisto and Danny Burch both trash-talk each other as the commentary team reminds us they will face each other in a qualifying match next week. We then cut backstage as Brock Lesnar is shown walking to the ring with Paul Heyman and the commentary team confirms we will hear from them next!

*NEXT BIG THING*

A massive pop from the live crowd as BROCK LESNAR appears at the top of the entrance ramp jumping up and down. PAUL HEYMAN soon walks out with his signature evil grin and the duo head straight to the ring! The commentary team reminds us Brock Lesnar will take on Andrade Cien Almas with the winner fighting for the WWE title at Summerslam! They also say Andrade must know he is in trouble and it seems none of the Ungovernables are willing to help with their own titles to defend currently taking precedent! Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar arrive in the ring as Paul looks to address the live crowd.

Paul Heyman: My name is Paul Heyman…

Some of the crowd join in with the catchphrase as Paul smiles.

Paul Heyman:
And this man is my client…

Paul holds the microphone up for the crowd letting them finish off the signature catchphrase.

Paul Heyman: Exactly. You people know who you are looking at in this ring but Zelina and her client Andrade Cien Almas seem to have forgotten. Now why is that?

Paul looks to the crowd as Brock off-mic calls Andrade “STUPID” before carrying on.

Paul Heyman: The reason they have forgotten is because they ran Raw for months because Brock was at home doing whatever Brock wanted to do!

Brock nods in the background and jogs on the spot.

Paul Heyman: Andrade you ran this brand with your group of merry men and for months remained unchallenged. You didn’t know fear until you were locked in the chamber with Brock and Black!

A few cheers from the crowd and Brock snarls at the mention of his name as Paul puts a hand out calming down the Beast.

Paul Heyman: Now my client doesn’t respect the Universal champion Aleister Black!

Brock Lesnar (off-mic): Damn right!

Paul Heyman: However I do. Not many men can pull off a miracle and defeat my client. But he was wise enough to go to Smackdown to escape the wrath of Brock Lesnar!

A mixed reaction from the crowd with not many seeing Black being drafted to Smackdown in that sort of way.

Paul Heyman:
But you Andrade, you saw Brock was still on Raw and still wanted to hurt you for what you took from him! You took weeks off his career! Do you know how much money he could have made in that time?

Brock glares at the camera because if he loves one thing, it is money.

Paul Heyman:
But the problem is Andrade you no longer have six men to fight Brock. It is just you all by yourself and you know that means the end for you…

Boos from the live crowd as ANDRADE CIEN ALMAS walks out in a suit clearly heated with ZELINA VEGA quickly following him! He stops about halfway down the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand!

Andrade Cien Almas: I’m not scared of you perro!

Boos from the crowd who clearly disagrees and Brock laughs in the ring.

Andrade Cien Almas: What are you laughing at?

Brock takes the microphone from Paul Heyman and looks to speak!

Brock Lesnar: Then why don’t you step into this ring with me right now?

Loud cheers from the crowd Andrade’s eyes bug out. Zelina steps forward looking to speak and stands in front of Andrade.

Zelina Vega: My client doesn’t need to do anything. And if he steps into the ring with him, what’s to stop you cheap shotting him?

Paul goes to take the microphone back from Brock but Brock shakes his head carrying on.

Brock Lesnar:
Andrade, I promise you I won’t hurt you if you step into the ring. I just want to see if I’m fighting a man or a coward at Armageddon!

Andrade remains outside the ring as Brock smirks.

Brock Lesnar: Is that a streak of yellow pis…

Paul takes the microphone back as the censor just about catches it but Andrade explodes past Zelina and slides into the ring coming face-to-face with Brock. Lesnar smirks and laughs as Andrade speaks staring Brock in the eyes.

Andrade Cien Almas: Brock this is my brand, not yours! Your time is over.

Brock smiles cockily not saying a word.

Andrade Cien Almas: I want to be a World champion and if you are in my way, I don’t need anyone else. I’ll defeat the beast by myself.

Paul laughs in the background prompting Andrade to turn around.

Andrade Cien Almas: What’s funny?

Paul turns to Andrade.

Paul Heyman: The fact you trusted Brock Lesnar!

Paul does a fake belly laugh as BROCK GRABS ANDRADE AND TAKES HIM TO SUPLEX CITY! Andrade gets slammed down with authority as Brock chuckles and calls Andrade stupid before shouting of course I lied! He even does a little viva la raza taunt before pounding Andrade on the mat! Zelina watches on in horror as Brock scoops him up and hits the F5 PLANTING ANDRADE DOWN TO THE MAT!

Brock smirks before considering another but Heyman talks him out of it, pointing out that if he injures Andrade now he won’t get the match at Armageddon! Brock smirks and tells Andrade he will be seeing him really soon as he winces in pain on the mat. Zelina slides into the ring and checks on her client as the commentary team put over how much danger Andrade is at Armageddon as we cut to a commercial break.

Cheers from the live crowd as ANGELO DAWKINS walks to the ring ready for singles action. The commentary team reminds us Montez Ford is still out of action after an attack by Seth Rollins’s church so Angelo is trying to establish himself in the singles division for the time being. They say a win tonight would be massive for Angelo’s career if he can beat a legend like…

RANDY ORTON! The Viper slowly makes his way out onto the entrance ramp and poses as he taunts the live crowd. He starts to slowly head to the ring not taking his eyes off Angelo Dawkins. The commentary team reminds us Randy Orton lost to Sheamus last week and will be in a very bad mood so will be looking to take that out on Dawkins tonight. Orton slowly steps into the ring as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 6: Randy Orton vs Angelo Dawkins
Match summary: Randy takes his time picking up Dawkins during this match and slows works over the young superstar. Angelo puts on a decent showing however and catches Randy by surprise on a couple of occasions, forcing Randy to reassess his plan as the match goes on. However in the end Randy is too much for Angelo and puts him away with an RKO for the win!

Winner via pinfall: Randy Orton (6:07)

Randy gets to his feet with a smug reaction as the commentary team gives Angelo Dawkins credit for giving the Viper a decent fight but in the end, the experience advantage was too much. Orton though isn’t done after the bell rings and lays into Dawkins with a series of punches getting boos from the live crowd. Orton heads to the corner as the boos get louder with the crowd knowing what this means… HE IS GOING FOR THE PUNT! He waits for Dawkins to get on all fours but…

Wade hangs up the phone before giving Orton his most insincere smile.

Wade Barrett: How can I help you, Randy?

Orton slams his hands down on the table in front of Wade but the commissioner remains unfazed.

Randy Orton: I am sick of superstars under your watch getting involved in my business.

Wade shrugs.

Wade Barrett: I’m not going to stop my roster from stopping you from punting my superstars in the skull. Injuries are bad for business Randy.

Orton responds with a sinister smile.

Randy Orton: Well you are going to need a replacement when I deal with Sami Zayn!

Wade Barrett smirks.

Wade Barrett:
So you want a match with Sami Zayn?

Randy nods.

Wade Barrett: Then at Armageddon, it will be Randy Orton versus Sami Zayn!

A big match is added to the Armageddon card as Randy gets in close to Wade Barrett.

Randy Orton: And when I send Sami back to the hospital one more time, Sami will only have himself to blame!

Randy and Wade glare at each other before we cut back to the commentary at ringside who hype up that match and the rest of the Armageddon card before…

A massive pop from the live crowd as BRITISH STRONG STYLE slowly walk out onto the entrance ramp all wearing tweed jackets. TRENT SEVEN stands front and center with PETE DUNNE and TYLER BATE on either side. The commentary team reminds us we will see Pete Dunne fight Angel Garza for the Cruiserweight title whilst Mustache Mountain will fight The Ungovernables for the World tag team titles. The group gets into the ring as Trent takes a microphone and gets ready to address the live crowd.

Trent Seven: Last week myself and these fine gentlemen showed the world what British Strong Style is all about.

Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate nod with Tyler smiling whilst Pete stays stoic.

Trent Seven: We have won titles around the world already.

Trent looks at Dunne.

Trent Seven:
Peter here is the longest-ever NXT UK Champion!

Still ahead of WALTER at this moment in time.

Trent Seven: He then came to Smackdown and in his first pay-per-view match won the Intercontinental title!

Cheers from the crowd remembering Dunne beating Luke Harper in London. Trent walks over to Tyler Bate.

Trent Seven:
And this young boy Tyler or as we like to call him, our big strong boy…

The crowd starts up the “BIG STRONG BOI” chant which brings a smile to Tyler’s face.

Trent Seven: The first-ever NXT UK Champion beating Peter…

Dunne shakes his head as Trent smiles at his friend.

Trent Seven: But Peter did even the score.

Tyle jokingly quips he wants a rematch at some point but Dunne remains quiet as Trent carries on.

Trent Seven:
Tyler then on his own became NXT Cruiserweight champion but that’s not all he has done.

Tyler starts to twirl his mustache as Trent smiles and does it himself before carrying on.

Trent Seven: We became NXT tag team champions together beating the most dominant team NXT has ever seen in the Undisputed Era!

Cheers from the crowd but not much reaction from the fans who don’t watch NXT.

Trent Seven:
We as a group have won titles on every brand we have been on and the only brand left is Monday Night Raw.

Dunne and Bate both nod, determined to add to their impressive resume early in their careers.

Trent Seven: The Ungovernables since they first appeared last year have been dominant and be the top group on Monday Night Raw. There is no denying it.

The crowd boos the statement which brings a smile to Trent’s face.

Trent Seven: But luckily for you people, the times are changing.

And Trent turns the crowd back to cheering as he smugly smirks.

Trent Seven: We have new groups forming like The Hurt Business…

Boos from the crowd.

Trent Seven: And old groups like The New Day…

A massive pop for the popular group.

Trent Seven: But we will dominate this brand like we dominated the UK scene and soon all of the gold held by the Ungovernables will be ours!

Loud cheers from the crowd as Trent looks to wrap up his promo but they are interrupted by…

Loud boos from the crowd as THE UNGOVERNABLES walk out onto the stage led by ZELINA VEGA! The World tag team champions CESARO and ILJA DRAGUNOV both look a little worse for wear after their battles with Sheamus and Drew McIntyre respectively. ANGEL GARZA meanwhile is in a nice black shirt and white jeans with a rose in his pocket with a less cocky look than normal on his face whilst being without his valet Eva Marie.

Zelina Vega: Trent, I know you are new around here but if you think we are letting our iron grip on this brand go, you are mistaken!

Boos from the crowd as Ilja and Cesaro make a point to lift their titles up though Angel looks a bit concerned.

Zelina Vega: Monday Night Raw is Ungovernables territory and soon Smackdown Live will be as well!

Trent Seven:
Well maybe it’s time we invade.

Zelina shakes her head.

Zelina Vega: I manage the best talent in the world Trent and whilst I considered your friends, you were never on my radar.

Trent chuckles and smiles.

Trent Seven:
I am well aware Zelina that my best days came too late…

He turns to his friends.

Trent Seven:
And that these two are wrestling prodigies. But the old dog still has a few new tricks and those tag team titles will be around our waist.

Cheers from the crowd as Angel asks for the microphone looking to chime in.

Angel Garza: Tyler I remember fighting you in NXT for the NXT Cruiserweight title…

Tyler who has been passed the mic by Trent chimes in.

Tyler Bate: Yeah I remember beating you for it.

That angers Angel as Tyler gets cheers from the crowd but the Latino Lothario carries on.

Angel Garza: I was a different man back then. I was dealing with a Beast and only just learning the guidance beautiful women like Zelina can give me…

Zelina winks as Angel winks back with Pete Dunne in the ring looking especially annoyed.

Angel Garza: And I scouted everything you can do which I passed on to my colleagues.

Ilja and Cesaro both remain serious but nod agreeing with Angel.

Angel Garza: So at Armageddon…

Pete Dunne: Hey Angel, why don’t you focus on the one of us you are actually fighting?

Cheers from the crowd as Pete’s no-nonsense attitude comes out.

Pete Dunne: You might have not realized because you have been too busy sucking face with Eva Marie…

Angel now looks angry as the crowd pops loudly.

Pete Dunne: But I’m a very different man from Tyler.

Tyler nods agreeing with that statement.

Pete Dunne: See Tyler would pick you up and toss you around like the tosser you are but me… I’ll break your fingers so you can’t hold Eva’s hand anymore!

Angel at that point looks frightened as Ilja grabs the microphone from him.

Ilja Dragunov: Peter…

Pete Dunne: Only he is allowed to call me that.

Pete points at Trent who nods whilst Tyler mouths off-mic “wait I’m not allowed?”.

Ilja Dragunov:
I remember our wars. And you are not ready for the Ungovernables.

Pete responds by shrugging unfazed as Cesaro takes the microphone.

Cesaro: Tyler, I’ve heard a lot about you and I must say, I’m actually impressed which takes a lot to do.

Tyler is curious as Cesaro carries on.

Cesaro:
There are very few men who can match my strength let alone someone of your size but as we say back home: Ich respektiere dich vielleicht, aber ich werde dich zerstören.

Boos from the crowd who don’t speak German as Trent looks to respond.

Trent Seven:
I don’t speak German Cesaro but as a fellow man of refined taste how about next week we give you a taste of what you are in for. Us three versus you three.

Zelina looks uncertain but before can say anything Cesaro responds.

Cesaro: You are on!

Cesaro drops the microphone as Ilja smiles whilst Angel and Zelina both look unhappy but accept the challenge thrown. British Strong Style in the ring stares down their challengers at the PPV. The commentary team meanwhile confirms that Wade Barrett has just made the match official for next week’s show before saying up next we get another Cruiserweight number one contender’s ladder match qualifier as Noam Dar takes on Ricochet!

Boos from the live crowd as we return from the commercial break and NOAM DAR is making his way to the ring! The cocky Scottish Supernova is chewing gum in the most obnoxious manner possible which further winds up the fans. The commentary team reminds us he is a former Cruiserweight Champion and will be looking to get the title back he lost to Mustafa Ali last year.

A loud pop from the live crowd as RICOCHET walks out onto the entrance ramp and poses for the crowd before pointing at Noam Dar in the ring. The commentary team mentions Ricochet is used to fighting opponents above his weight class so fighting someone within his weight class present a new opportunity but a different kind of challenge. Ricochet though looks confident as he steps into the ring. Noam Dar talks a bunch of trash but Ricochet remains calm as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 7: Qualifying match: Noam Dar vs Ricochet
Match summary: Ricochet starts off the match by showing up Noam Dar very early on. Dar has to take a powder not once but twice in the early stage pissing the cocky Scot off. Ricochet meanwhile looks at ease until Noam starts to go after Ricochet's right leg as is his signature fashion. Ricochet though is used to other wrestlers targeting his leg and fends off a lot of the offense once again sending Noam Dar on the defensive which means the Scottish Supernova starts playing dirty.

Noam Dar tries to use every trick in the book to win this match including eye rakes and feet on the ropes but Ricochet is too good at kicking out and fighting back against everything he throws at him. Dar even tries taking apart the turnbuckle pad but Ricochet uses his athleticism to avoid it when thrown towards hitting a SPRINGBOARD CORKSCREW SENTON ONTO HIM! Ricochet then heads to the top rope perching on the spot without the pad and hits a picture-perfect 630 SPLASH! Ricochet hooks the leg 1 2 3 Dar wins!

Winner via pinfall: Ricochet (9:27)

Ricochet gets to his feet having picked up a big win on his first match within the Cruiserweight division and knows it to playing to the fans. Noam Dar meanwhile rolls out of the ring frustrated with the result as a few fans in the front row taunt him. The commentary team puts over the unique offense that Ricochet offers and in a ladder match that might be the difference. In the ring, Ricochet does the belt motion making it clear he is coming for the Cruiserweight title as we cut elsewhere backstage as…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NIA JAX is walking to the ring ahead of tonight’s main event! However, as she is walking she comes face to face with PIPER NIVEN! Both women have a staredown but Nia smirks and carries on walking. Piper stands behind her shaking her head as the commentary team confirms Nia Jax will take on Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Universal title and that match will happen next!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boos from the live crowd as we return from the commercial break and NIA JAX is making her way to the ring for the main event! The commentary team reminds us that Nia Jax is a former Women’s Universal Champion and also has yet to be pinned or submitted since returning to Raw at Wrestlemania. She steps into the ring and looks confident waiting for her opponent.

Even louder boos from the fans in attendance as the Women’s Universal Champion and tag team champion SHAYNA BASZLER walks onto the entrance ramp. She is joined by the rest of the MMA Horsewomen: RONDA ROUSEY, MARINA SHAFIR and JESSAYMN DUKE! The group looks at Shayna who nods and they HEAD BACKSTAGE! Shayna is going to do this alone! Nia Jax in the ring mocks Shayna and tells her this is a big mistake but the champion doesn’t care shaking her head. She gets to the ring and passes both her titles to the timekeeper as the usual title announcements are done. The referee then calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Main event: Women’s Universal title match: Shayna Baszler © vs Nia Jax
Match summary: Shayna Baszler once the bell rings takes her time and circle the ring as she is happy to take her time to get an opening over the larger opponent. Nia though doesn’t want to wait and looks to go straight after the champion, using her power early on to control the match. Shayna is in danger early on but uses her cunning to start picking Nia apart. The monster actually plays the pseudo-face in this match as Shayna looks to go after her arms and back during the match!

Nia Jax screams in pain as Shayna viciously attacks her limbs and makes sure to torment Shayna as she does it, even doing the bent arm stomp! Nia soon finds the damage done by Shayna takes away her ability to lift her up and as the match heads to the closing stages, Nia is barely able to survive as Shayna locks her in the KIRIFUDA CLUTCH! Shayna wraps her entire body around Nia Jax! Who tries to use her power to escape but in the end, Nia Jax is forced to tap out giving Shayna the win in her first title defense!

Winner via submission and still Women’s Universal Champion: Shayna Baszler (9:21)

Shayna gets to her feet (after holding onto the choke for an extra few seconds with a wicked grin having retained his Women’s Universal title tonight! The crowd boos Shayna Baszler but she doesn’t care as she raises the title into the air. The commentary team puts over her dominant performance and mentions that whilst Natalya might be a submission specialist, Shayna could have her truly outmatched in that category. The rest of the MMA Horsewomen join Shayna at the top of the entrance ramp as Monday Night Raw ends with the champion standing tall and we fade to black.

- Andrade just got a small taste of what he's in for at Armageddon...Brock Lesnar took him to Suplex City and then hit Andrade with an F5...loved every single second of it because Andrade has no idea who he's really dealing with. Brock is not just an ordinary man, the man is a Beast. Andrade can tell the world he's not afraid but deep down he definitely has to be.

- Randy Orton vs Sami Zayn at Armageddon...I can't wait!!! Makes sense because of their rivalry but also Orton punted Zayn in the skull and put Zayn on the shelf and then Zayn got his revenge on Orton at Judgment Day helping Kevin Owens to beat Orton in that Ambulance Match...and now it all comes to a head at Armageddon

- MVP gets turned down yet again for The Hurt Business...first Big E turns him down and then both Big E and Woods turn him down...Kofi definitely will too...but Samoa Joe I have a feeling Joe he ends up turning down The Hurt Business? Why? Samoa Joe has been heel for so long that I think he ends up turning babyface honestly

- WWE Champion Drew McIntyre beating one half of the RAW Tag Team Champions Ungovernables member Ilja Dragunov...and then Sheamus the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship and McIntyre's opponent at Armageddon beats the other half of the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, Cesaro, his former friend and tag team partner...just goes to show that the cracks in The Ungovernables are already starting to form

- Trouble in paradise in The Ungovernables already...Cesaro getting annoyed with not just his tag team partner Dragunov but getting annoyed with his so called fearless leader Andrade and Zelina...those are just signs that it is the beginning of the end for this faction. Seeds basically being planted already. Ilja and Cesaro are losing those Tag Team Titles. Angel Garza could very well lose that WWE Cruiserweight Championship to Pete Dunne and Andrade could very well lose to Brock.

- British Strong Style...I mean I can see them taking over this brand with Pete Dunne winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and Bate & Seven winning the RAW Tag Team Championship...I mean it is only a matter of time

- But then The Hurt Business could get stronger as a faction too especially if The All Mighty Bobby Lashley returns and then joins them

- Big E can say he's cashing in at WrestleMania but let's be honest...that is just not realistic and honestly who can really be that patient to cash in? Why tell all of us when you are going to cash in? Or why even tell the champion ahead of time when you are going to do it because that way they can be prepared for you ahead of time and then you lose? Sheer stupidity on Big E's part...I would have thought he would be much more smarter than that but clearly not

- Shayna Baszler retaining the WWE RAW Women's Championship against a much larger opponent a much more stronger opponent in Nia Jax...and the thing is Shayna didn't even need her Horsewomen stablemates to help her win this match. She did it all on her own by herself which makes her a badass. It makes her legit as a Champion male or female...she used her wrestling ability and her cunning to get the job done. Made Nia tap out. How many heel Champions male or female can say they won matches on their own without anyone else holding their hand?

Monday Night RAW - June 22, 2020:

It’s been a few weeks in-universe since Queen of the Ring, but I’m interested in seeing what the flagship show has going for it, in a world where COVID-19 didn’t plague it. I’m curious as to how the locations have been determined. As someone who research this period intricately for the Pandemic Project, I did take notes on original venues booked for shows, but can’t recall for the life of me where that file is now. Do you follow those similarly, or are these fabricated?

Drew McIntyre’s promo was a nice way to kick things off, as he often did to start RAW during this period. I always felt Drew had a Bret Hart-like quality in his reigns as WWE Champion. It’s such a shame he hasn’t been positioned in such a way for a while. The interaction with Sheamus was interesting, as was Ilja Dragunov coming out for a challenge. I’m not absolutely sold on Ilja as a heel, but considering he’s a Russian in the United States under the Donald Trump administration, I’ll let it slide. A lot of United Kingdom-based presence on this Tulsa show. Great opening contest, with Dragunov getting his licks in and Drew appearing dominant as the leader of the brand.

I totally respect wanting to give Lucha House Party more emphasis, and the context of their conversation was needed I’m sure - but I feel like this segment could have been more of substance. It felt a little flavorless to me, and I’m not sure why.

Okay, I see now what the deal is with Ilja Dragunov. The tension with Cesaro and the Ungovernables surely sets up the slowburn to the faction’s demise. It is a strange assembly, but this is the type of information I’ve missed out on, failing to jump on this diary sooner. This segment really worked.

I can imagine Franky Monet being a good fit as a regular partner for Dana Brooke. It is a shame that despite being so tenured, Dana still hasn’t been given the respect she should deserve by now, some eight years into her main roster run. Isla Dawn wouldn’t be the first NXT UK woman I would have called up, but she fit the mold of a Scottish partner for Nikki Cross.

Dolph Ziggler’s promo was fine, but oh no, I am forever being followed by a feud between Dolph and Mustafa Ali. I’m doing it; WWE’s been on-and-off doing it. These guys are destined to do this interdimensionally! I’m amused at the idea of Dolph competing for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. This was a good effort to build on Ali’s character, which isn’t the easiest thing to do. And it set up the Ladder match at Armageddon.

I am very intrigued as to who is the face and heel in this feud between the Miz and John Morrison. On one hand, the idea of Morrison having a bodyguard strikes it as a giveaway to me. Conversely? Miz came off pretty whiny in this segment with Maryse. Once again, our universes are combining, with these two feuding.

We always love to see Sheamus and Cesaro dueling it out. Lovely stuff here. Another loss for the Ungovernables as well, so I see. I’m curious about the seeds you planted earlier, with Drew McIntyre needing a partner to challenge for the Tag Team Championships… I think it’s pretty telling with your match layout that you like to keep things pretty nice, tidy and clean. Not a lot else going on thus far outside of solid wrestling, and storyline advancements.

I could have maybe used some additional context with Swerve and Samoa Joe, but I like the interaction with implications for MVP.

Good promowork with John Morrison and his bodyguard. I wouldn’t have thought Erick Rowan would make a solid bodyguard for somebody of Morrison’s type, but anything can happen with a little magical repackage job. The New Day hyping up Big E ahead of a run for the WWE Intercontinental Championship is logical. I will say, there’s a lot of hype for next week on RAW, but what about tonight?

MVP trying to recruit Big E is funny to me, but I do hope we don’t see the New Day coming to an end with hints of the Hurt Business amuck.

Charlotte Flair and Natalya beating Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir was a safe bet, especially with the length they were allotted. Duke was never truly any good, and Shafir would still have been very green. Still, they each serve vital parts in portraying roles in the Four Horsewomen. Flair and Nattie make for an interesting team. Big star power team with Shayna and Ronda Rousey already together at this point in time.

I feel like MVP is the glue that holds a lot of these talents together. His inner circle appear to be the big bads behind this edition of RAW. I never did like “Isaiah Scott” as a ring name, as a side-note.

After the segment earlier, I’m surprised Oney Lorcan put Lince Dorado away. I suspect this will build up a tag team scenario between Lucha House Party and Lorcan and Danny Burch.

Really enjoyed the Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman promo ahead of Armageddon. Of course the Ungovernables come out to Gangster’s Paradise. Andrade sharing a ring with Brock would have been something, and I liked karma taking Andrade down. I could actually see this promo unfolding in real life.

Randy Orton beating Angelo Dawkins was what it was, though I do hope you give the Street Profits a good run in the near future. Montez Ford is dripping from head to toe in potential for a main event run. The segment seemed to be more devoted to advancing the feud with Sami Zayn, which did what it intended to do. I’m glad Sami’s still a babyface here. For the longest time, I was not a fan of his heel run.

As much as I like the sound of British Strong Style getting time on Monday Night RAW, I struggle to see how their promo with members of the Ungovernables would go. Interesting to see Ilja Dragunov and Cesaro pop up again, considering they’ve already competed.

Ricochet defeating Noam Dar made sense. I don’t see much in Dar, I must admit.

It sounded like a strong main event with Shayna Baszler defeating Nia Jax to retain the WWE Women’s Universal Championship. Good name for the gold by the way. I would have maybe built this up a little more throughout the show.

Overall, this was a perfectly authentic edition of RAW. I do like the spin you have of condensing the NXT and NXT UK brands to the main roster. With that said, there were a few segments I didn’t really see the point of (mainly the early Lucha House Party one) - but that might be my booking philosophy speaking, where everything televised needs to count. Your creative skills are really cool in the sense I can imagine a lot of what goes on on-screen, and it’s pretty neat you have certain talent being involved in more than one angles at a time.

I’ll try to keep up from here.

So the venues for the shows are based on a spreadsheet given out by Damage CTRL as they also didn't want to book around covid so my venues are mostly based on that (I have made a few tweaks here and there though switching locations around if they don't fit or to make things fit better).

Lucha House Party segment was mostly to set up the match later in the show and also re-establish them as a team as Lince Dorado had been on Smackdown before the draft but you might be right that it was a bit filler.

Ilja Dragunov was recruited to the Ungovernables after Takeover Cardiff last year in the thread with Zelina basically recruiting a bunch of wrestlers she feels are the best to her group and working as their manager. Also Erick Rowan became the bodyguard for John Morrison after turning on Daniel Bryan in a triple threat for the IC title. Morrison is very much the heel but I do think that I might need to tweak plans for this feud as not sure Miz is working as a face right now.

Angelo Dawkins is wrestling singles without Montez Ford atm because of an EWR injury. I use EWR to add a bit of realism and have injuries happen to make it a bit more challenging. Montez was sent to rehab by EWR so unsure when he is back but that's why he isn't around (Also why Bobby Lashley, Mickie James, Elias, Shelton Benjamin, Apollo Crews, Kofi Kingston, Tony Nese and Rey Mysterio are out of action plus Scarlett Bordeaux plus Zelina Vega are using a leg brace).

Thank you for the feedback dude and will try to tighten up a few segments :)

Smackdown Live
June 26th 2020

Chesapeake Energy Arena

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Smackdown Live starts with the usual pan around the arena before we cut to the commentary team at ringside. They hype up the show before running down the stacked card for tonight’s show:

  • Karrion Kross takes on Zack Ryder
  • Elimination chamber qualifying match: Braun Strowman vs Shinsuke Nakamura
  • Buddy Murphy vs Gran Metalik
  • United States title match: Chad Gable © vs James Storm
  • And in the main event: WWE Women’s title match: Ember Moon © vs Taynara Conti

The commentary team once running down the rest of the show’s card then confirms the match that will be starting the show: The Number one contender’s match for the WWE Women’s title between Sasha Banks and…

RUBY RIOTT! The leader of the Riott Squad walks out onto the entrance ramp and heads to the ring as she is flanked by SARAH LOGAN! The two women get booed on the way to the ring as they snarl at the fans and commentary mentions how close Ruby Riott has come to finally winning some gold. A win tonight could put her in the main event of the Great American Bash fighting for the title. We can see her discussing the strategy for the match as…

SASHA BANKS walks out onto the stage with his shutter shades on as she poses at the top of the entrance ramp. The crowd gives the Boss a loud pop with a smattering of boos for her. The commentary team reminds us that Sasha had arguably the best year of her career winning the Money in the Bank briefcase and running Raw as Women’s Universal Champion. Sasha steps into the ring and keeps an eye on Sarah Logan outside the ring before looking at Ruby taunting her as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 1: Number one contender’s match: Sasha Banks vs Ruby Riott w/Sarah Logan

Match summary: Ruby early on goes right after Sasha Banks and clocks her with a wicked forearm to the jaw! Sasha staggers backward and winces in pain before looking at Ruby as she fires back at her! Both women are aggressive right from the bell as they each want to become the number one contender. Ruby starts to take control and looks to cheat early on but Sasha uses this to her advantage recreating an old Eddie Guerrero spot as she fakes being hit by Sarah Logan and gets her evicted from ringside!

Loud cheers from the live crowd for that as Ruby looks furious whilst Sasha smirks delighted with her handiwork! Ruby gets even more aggressive once her assistance at ringside is gone and tries to end the Boss as quickly as she possibly can. Sasha makes a point to work over the neck and back of Ruby to set up for the BANK STATEMENT but Ruby fights out of it each time. Ruby meanwhile proves she can hang with the best and gets a few close near falls on Sasha but the Boss stays alive.

In the closing stages of the match, Ruby goes to the top rope and looks to go for the WE RIOT SENTON… BUT SASHA JOINS HER ON THE TOP ROPE! Both women battle for control on the top rope with Sasha winning the battle between the two women and hits a SUPERPLEX! Sasha gets cheers from the crowd for the big move before following it up by running the ropes and hitting RENT’S DUE! She has Ruby in the middle of the ring and locks in the BANK STATEMENT! Ruby knows she is stuck in the middle of the ring and taps out giving Sasha the win!

Winner via submission: Sasha Banks (11:31)

Sasha Banks gets to her feet and smugly smirks at the crowd, now one match away from becoming WWE Women’s Champion for the first time in her career. The commentary team put over how crafty she was during this match and hype up the chance for Sasha to either get revenge on Conti for winning their series of matches or a first-time-ever encounter with Ember Moon! Sasha carries on the celebration in the ring before we cut to the first commercial break of the show.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see KAYLA BRAXTON walking through the backstage area. As she is walking, she sees the tag team of CARMELLA and LIV MORGAN walking through the back so she looks to interview them.

Kayla Braxton: Carmella, Liv Morgan can I ask you two a few questions?

Carmella and Liv Morgan nod agreeing to the interview.

Kayla Braxton:
Two weeks ago, you both picked up a big win over The Iiconics who are former WWE Women’s tag team champions. With that win, do you girls have your eyes on the Women’s tag team titles in the future?

Carmella: We do.

Liv Morgan:
All the stuff I went through last year led me to this friendship with Carmella. And the only thing we didn’t get was gold.

The duo shares a hug before Liv carries on.

Liv Morgan: We heard what the legends Lita and Trish had to say.

Carmella: We are happy to wait for them to get their shot but after that…

???:
Waiting in line for gold? Couldn’t be me.

The camera pans over and we see the newest superstar debuting on Smackdown next week: BIANCA BEL-AIR! She looks smug as she twirls her long hair braid and is clearly chewing gum as she looks at both Carmella and Liv Morgan.

Bianca Bel-Air: But then again no one else is the E S T!

Carmella shakes her head not impressed with this interruption.

Carmella:
Listen, you may be new around here but this whole cocky act is going to get you into trouble.

Bel-Air laughs.

Bianca Bel-Air: Hasn’t happened to me yet girl.

Liv Morgan walks towards Bel-Air trying to go eye to eye but that doesn’t really work.

Liv Morgan: Unless you got a tag team partner, I don’t know why you are here interrupting us?

Bel-Air smirks.

Bianca Bel-Air:
Because I’ve just been told who my first opponent on Smackdown is!

She pats Liv on the head dismissively before locking eyes with Carmella.

Bianca Bel-Air: Do your best to give me a challenge because I want to work to stay UN-DE-FEAT-ED!

Bel-Air walks away with a cocky skip in her step as Carmella and Liv Morgan glare at her as we cut back to the commentary team at ringside.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The commentary team hypes up the match for next week’s show putting over how good Bel-Air was in NXT. Graves does remind us that his wife is a former Women’s Champion and will be no pushover.

A decent pop from the live crowd as HANSON of the War Raiders marches out to the ring alone. He doesn’t waste any time as he storms over to the timekeeper’s area and grabs a microphone from one of the stagehands.

Hanson:
BRAY WYATT!

A massive mixed reaction for that name.

Hanson: Get out here now!

Hanson walks around and grabs a steel chair from the timekeeper’s area as he heads to the ring!

Hanson:
I’m not leaving until you come out to this ring and face me like a man!

Hanson slides into the ring and unfolds the chair as he sits in the middle of the ring. He looks towards the entrance ramp with the microphone in hand.

Hanson:
I’m not playing your games anymore Bray! Get out to this ring now!

The crowd cheers Hanson getting behind him after what happened to Rowe. Bray still doesn’t appear straight away and this winds Hanson up even more!

Hanson: I’m not playing around! Get the…

ONE OF THE LIGHTS GOES OUT! Hanson stops mid-sentence as he sees all of the lights go out one by one! And Hanson knows he has been granted his request so he grabs the steel chair ready for a fight! Slowly the crowd gets louder as the lights all get turned off leaving Hanson and the crowd in total darkness! It stays like that for about 10 seconds until A RED LIGHT COVERS THE RING AND THE FIEND STANDS BEHIND HIM!

Hanson turns around and SWINGS THE CHAIR LOOKING TO CLOCK HIM BUT THE FIEND PUNCHES THE CHAIR OUT OF HIS HANDS! Hanson looks stunned for a moment before trying to attack The Fiend but gets cut off by the monster who slams him down to the mat! Hanson falls down to the mat as The Fiend tilts his head and almost playing with his food as he lays into Hanson on the mat with a series of hard forearms to the head!

The Fiend is in total control before grabbing hold of Hanson as he chokes him with the MANDIBLE CLAW! He sticks his fingers down the throat of the War Raiders who coughs and splutters due to this vicious assault! He frails his arms in the air and tries to punch the monster off him but it’s too much. Hanson stops flailing and The Fiend drags him off the mat before kissing his forehead as he connects with SISTER ABIGAIL ONTO THE STEEL CHAIR! The monster stands in the ring tilting his head as he looks at Hanson before the titantron shows BRAY WYATT IN THE FUN HOUSE!

Bray Wyatt: Hanson! I see my friend has found you!

A laugh from Bray on the titantron whilst in the ring the Fiend stands there tilting his head menacingly.

Bray Wyatt: I told you to stay out of my way but you didn’t listen.

He looks at the heal hand for a moment showing remorse.

Bray Wyatt:
I wanted to save you from him but you two didn’t listen.

He then turns to the hurt hand and glares at it with anger in his eyes.

Bray Wyatt: You never listened to me. You never listened! YOU NEVER LISTENED!

Bray looks transfixed before snapping back into a creepy Mr. Rodgers style.

Bray Wyatt: But listen to this when you wake up Hanson. Next week, Wade Barrett has made a special match for you.

Bray smiles evilly and coldly at the camera.

Bray Wyatt: The Fiend will see you then Hanson.

A mixed reaction from the crowd excited to see The Fiend wrestle on Smackdown for the first time ever!

Bray Wyatt: You will be seeing Rowe again soon!

Loud boos for that line as Bray laughs and we cut back to the ring as the lights go out again! When they come back on Hanson is still laid out but THE FIEND IS GONE! The commentary team remains silent and confused as we cut to a commercial break!

When we return from the commercial break, we can see the WWE Women’s Champion EMBER MOON walking through the back with the title on her shoulder. She is soon stopped by KEVIN PATRICK looking for an interview!

Kevin Patrick: Ember, in tonight’s main event you take on Taynara Conti with your WWE Women’s title on the line.

Ember smiles.

Ember Moon: That’s correct Kevin.

Kevin Patrick:
How are you feeling about facing someone who is arguably in the best form they have ever been during their career?

Ember smiles and looks a tad dismissive of that question.

Ember Moon:
Kevin, couldn’t the same be said for me?

She shows off her WWE Women’s title with a proud smile.

Ember Moon: I’m in the form of my career as well. So what we have in tonight’s main event is two women at the top of their game!

Ember speaking the truth there.

Ember Moon: Conti has been proving herself week in week out. She has done great but she is stepping up to the top now. And it ain’t easy. She is going to have to learn that the second climb is harder than the first!

Ember goes to leave but Kevin Patrick stops her.

Kevin Patrick: One last question, if you win tonight you will face Sasha Banks at Great American Bash. Any thoughts on the potential threat Sasha Banks possesses?

Ember shakes her head.

Ember Moon: One challenger at a time Kevin.

Ember this time gets to walk off as we cut back to the commentary team at ringside who hypes tonight's main event before…

ZACK RYDER makes his way out to the ring! He poses for the fans and lifts his arms into the crowd. He gets a pretty good reaction all things considered from the crowd as he heads straight for the ring. The commentary team points out Zack asked for this match after what Kross did to his tag team partner Curt Hawkins and the former US/IC champion is looking for revenge tonight!

An ominous tone fills the arena as we can see smoke surround the ring before KARRION KROSS slowly makes his way out to the ring. He tilts and cranks his neck as he tries to intermediate the ultimate broski in the ring but Zack is either brave or stupid (or both) and refuses to be frightened of Kross. The commentary team put over how dominant Kross has been since coming to Smackdown, only losing in singles competition to Big E. Once Kross steps into the ring, the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 2: Karrion Kross vs Zack Ryder

Match summary: Kross taunts Zack Ryder once the bell ring and Zack Ryder immediately leaps onto him! Winner via submission: Karrion Kross (3:24)

Boos from the crowd as Karrion Kross keeps the hold locked in after the bell! Zack has tapped out but he now passes out as the referee warns Karrion Kross who finally drops Zack Ryder to the mat! The referee lifts the arm of Kross but he snatches it away as he goes right after Zack Ryder and carries on beating him down! Kross is delivering a beating to a defenseless Zack Ryder until…

EDGE STORMS OUT AND HEADS STRAIGHT FOR THE RING! Kross gets to his feet and gets an EXPLOSIVE SPEAR FOR HIS TROUBLES! Edge lays into Kross with a series of punches but the sadist clocks Edge before rolling out of the ring! Kross looks angry as Edge dares him to come back but Kross shakes his head. He tells Edge that he will do this on his time and taps his wrist. Edge shakes his head looking furious before checking Zack Ryder as we cut to a commercial break.

Otis Dozovic:
Oh yeah. We heard it boys.

Tucker Knight:
You threw us out of the match…

Otis Dozovic: Well only Karl did.

That brings a slight smile to Tucker’s face.

Tucker Knight: But you want a match for our tag team titles!

Otis pats his belt loudly and shouts “OH YEAH”!

Tucker Knight: We didn’t win these belts to sit on the side and not fight to keep them. We went to war with the War Raiders!

Otis carries on hyping him up shouting “OH YEAH”!

Tucker Knight: We put the hurt on Cedric Alexander and Dio Maddin!

Another “OH YEAH” from Otis!

Tucker Knight: And if anyone else wants to open a new chapter…

A shot at former World tag team champions The Authors of Pain there!

Otis Dozovic: We are ready! See my mama told me to be ready for a fight and Good Brothers, we’ll see you next week!

THE CHURCH OF SETH ROLLINS is shown walking through the back. Their leader SETH ROLLINS has a smug smile as THE AUTHORS OF PAIN towers over Seth Rollins with AIDEN ENGLISH devotedly following behind him. As they are walking they can see JEFF HARDY hanging out backstage by himself listening to music as the Church walks over to him. Jeff looks wary as Seth has a big smile on his face.

Seth Rollins: Jeff. Jeff Hardy.

Seth sticks out his hand with Jeff very wary before he grabs hold of it and slowly shakes his hand.

Seth Rollins:
Jeff I was always a big fan of you growing up.

Jeff nods appreciating the praise but is clearly still wary of the architect’s intentions.

Seth Rollins:
I saw you rise to new heights and become a world champion defeating people like Edge.

Seth's smile turns cold as he finishes that sentence with a lot of venom for his recent rival.

Seth Rollins: But whilst working with you I have seen you fall even further…

Jeff gets up looking angry as Aiden English squares up ready to confront him but Seth keeps his disciple at bay for the moment.

Seth Rollins: I want to save you, Jeff. I want to bring you out of the darkness and into the light I bring.

Seth sticks his arms out with a smug smirk as Jeff gets to his feet and shakes his head.

Jeff Hardy: I have fallen on many hard times. I’ve fought addiction and been on the brink.

He gets up close with Seth.

Jeff Hardy: And even if I fall again… I will never be so desperate I need to join your cult!

OUCH! Strong words as Jeff Hardy walks off and leaves Seth Rollins standing there looking completely furious as we cut to a commercial break!

*SHADOWS OF A SETTING SUN*

Boos from the live crowd as we return from the commercial break and SHINSUKE NAKAMURA makes his way out to the ring joined by DOMINIK DIJAKOVIC who is unusually wearing one of his own merch hoodies. Noticeably the duo are without their leader Zelina Vega as the commentary team mention she has been healing from a leg injury she picked up a few months ago and is due to have the case for that taken off any day now.

A massive pop as BRAUN STROWMAN marches out onto the entrance ramp and cuts an imposing presence. He soon starts to march down the entrance ramp heading straight for the ring, not taking his eyes off of The Ungovernables. The commentary team confirms this match was made after they attacked Braun on last week’s Smackdown laying him out backstage. They also point out that the winner will be entering the Elimination Chamber with the chance to become the number one contender for the Universal title at Summerslam. Braun steps over the ropes and stands across from Shinsuke Nakamura as the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Match 3: Elimination Chamber qualifier: Braun Strowman vs Shinsuke Nakamura w/Dominik Dijakovic

Match summary: Once the bell rings Braun charges at Shinsuke who runs to the ringside, wanting now part of the Monster Among Men in these early stages. He runs around the ring but Braun just runs through not only Shinsuke but Dijakovic too like a runaway train (no sound effects needed)! Braun after doing this, grabs hold of Shinsuke and slides him back into the ring as he tosses him around with ease, toying with his prey!

As the match enters the closing stages, Braun is in total control and Shinsuke is struggling to cope against The Monster when… THE LIGHTS GO OUT! They all go out at once as the crowd goes wild expecting The Fiend to appear but when they come back on all we can see is Braun Strowman down on the mat and… HIS OLD BLACK SHEEP MASK IN THE CORNER? Shinsuke though pounces on this and hits Braun with the KINSHASA! Shinsuke makes the cover and picks up the shock win!

Winner via pinfall: Shinsuke Nakamura (5:59)

Boos from the crowd as Shinsuke celebrates a huge win but doesn’t spend too long in the ring, quickly fleeing towards the back with Dominik Dijakovic as the duo know that Shinsuke stole this victory! The commentary team meanwhile talks about Bray Wyatt costing Braun the match and wonders why he would have done this? Braun meanwhile gets to his feet and sees the old Black sheep mask in the corner and he crushes it in his hands and shows “BRAY! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS”! The camera focuses in on his angry glare before we cut to a locker room backstage as…

ROMAN REIGNS is shown backstage in his locker room! He can be seen sitting down in a shirt as he can be seen sitting at the head of the room with JEY USO, JIMMY USO and NAOMI all also sitting down in the room. The room is silent for a moment as Roman looks to speak.

Roman Reigns:
I know some of you disagree with some of my methods last year…

We see the Usos nod whilst Naomi shakes her head clearly agreeing with Roman’s current attitude.

Roman Reigns: But it got me results.

Naomi nods agreeing strongly as Roman did hold the WWE title for close to 7 months.

Roman Reigns:
I may have lost my title to Drew McIntyre but now I am back, the Universal title will soon be mine.

An ominous threat was made toward the current Universal Champion Aleister Black.

Roman Reigns: But you two…

He points at both of the Usos with Jimmy looking worried whilst Jey looks angry.

Roman Reigns: Also needs to bring gold back to the Bloodline.

Jey gets up angering Roman and Naomi.

Jey Uso: Hey Uce, Jimmy was on the shelf for months. When he came back, the tag team titles went back around our waists.

Roman gets up getting in Jey’s face.

Roman Reigns: And you lost those titles within a month to the group dominating Raw. No one should be dominating the WWE over us! NOBODY!

Roman screams that line as Jey backs away slightly before Roman composes himself.

Roman Reigns: I am the head of the table and you two need to fall in line like Naomi has.

Naomi nods agreeing with her Tribal Chief before he starts to leave the room.

Roman Reigns: Now I have business to take care of. Stay here and think about what I said.

Roman now leaves the room as there is clear tension between The Usos and Naomi whilst the commentary team hypes up the fact we will hear from Roman Reigns next!

The long theme music for the Tribal chief plays as ROMAN REIGNS slowly walks out onto the stage. He takes his time surveying the fans and the ringside area with a snarl on his face. The commentary team reminds us we haven’t seen Roman Reigns since Drew McIntyre tossed him off the Hell in a Cell and you have to wonder if he is back to 100% after such a serious fall. Roman takes his time before grabbing a microphone and heading back into the ring looking at the fans with disdain.

Roman Reigns:
It’s about time you people acknowledge me!

Loud boos from the crowd who clearly disagrees with that statement!

Roman Reigns: Any normal man would be out for the entire year after what Drew McIntyre did to me.

The crowd at this point chants “ONE MORE TIME” bringing a look of disgust to Roman’s face.

Roman Reigns:
But I am above being a normal man. All I needed was six weeks at home and now the Tribal Chief is back to reclaim his throne!

Roman paces around the ring but noticeably is wincing slightly as he speaks maybe not 100% still.

Roman Reigns: I am the head of the table and being a World Champion is in my blood!

An angry Roman snarls at the crowd whose boos are getting louder.

Roman Reigns: And I am telling you right now, I will be in the chamber!

Boos from the crowd who think Roman is just walking into the chamber but Roman hasn’t finished.

Roman Reigns: Shawn told me I would find out who I was fighting tonight for a spot in the chamber but whoever it is shall fall before the Tribal Chief!

Roman circles the ring and looks to carry on his speech but he is interrupted by…

Cheers from the crowd as MATT RIDDLE walks onto the entrance ramp with a big goofy grin on his face. Roman doesn’t look impressed by the smirking goof who has walked onto the entrance ramp in his goofy yellow jacket and sandals. He has a microphone as he points at Roman in the ring.

Matt Riddle: Bro, you seem like you need to chill out!

Roman glares at him like Matt Riddle just kicked his dog.

Matt Riddle:
Were you always this angry…

Roman Reigns:
This isn’t my child’s birthday party so I see no reason for a clown to be out here!

Roman is furious as the crowd boos the Tribal Chief as Riddle puts his hands up defensively with an awkward smile on his face.

Matt Riddle: Roman, I was just coming out here to give you some good news.

Roman Reigns:
Well hurry up because I am a busy man!

Matt shakes his head.

Matt Riddle: Bro, you are looking at the man who will be fighting you next week!

Cheers from the crowd as the recent NXT call-up gets a huge singles match next week.

Matt Riddle: I mean I did make a mistake though…

Roman Reigns:
You’re damn right you did!

Roman snarls as Matt remains jovial.

Matt Riddle:
It’s not good news for you because I’m going to win!

Cheers from the crowd as Matt Riddle says that full of confidence and Roman in the ring looks baffled by that statement.

Roman Reigns: Are you out of your damn mind?

Roman shouts as he ends that sentence but Riddle keeps on smiling.

Roman Reigns:
This isn’t NXT son… this is the big leagues and you are stepping up to the head of the table.

Matt shakes his head.

Matt Riddle:
Roman you are forgetting one thing. I’ve stepped up to the big leagues last year.

Roman tilts his head as Matt carried on.

Matt Riddle: At last year’s Summerslam I defeated Goldberg in the middle of the ring!

Cheers from the crowd as the commentary team hypes up how big the win was.

Matt Riddle:
And yeah I went back to NXT but that’s because I had unfinished business.

No other reason guys. No other reason.

Matt Riddle:
That business is taken care of so next week I bring someone else down to Earth and I go onto the Elimination Chamber!

Loud cheers from the crowd who get fired up and behind Matt Riddle but Roman looks to wrap up the promo.

Roman Reigns:
Beating Goldberg is one thing. Beating me? That would take you being in God mode!

Roman is very serious as he glares at Matt.

Roman Reigns:
Next week you will find out what happens when you cross the Tribal chief!

Roman tosses the microphone down to the mat and looks furious as Matt Riddle still looks very calm and happy. The commentary team hypes up the Elimination Chamber qualifier for next week’s show as we cut to a commercial break.

The commentary team discusses the words between the two men last week and that Buddy Murphy feels disrespected plus overlooked. The referee is ready to call for the bell however…

ALEISTER BLACK slowly walks out onto the entrance ramp cutting an imposing presence. He takes his time walking to the ring as Buddy Murphy keeps his eyes on Aleister Black the whole time before the Dutch Destroyer sits down at the bottom of the entrance ramp crossed-legged! Match 4: Buddy Murphy vs Gran Metalik

Match summary:
Gran Metalik as soon as the bell rings uses the self-inflicted distraction to dropkick Buddy Murphy over the ropes. Buddy lands with a thud on the floor right in front of Black and gets to his hands/knees glaring at Black who remains cold and stoic as he looks at Murphy. Black turns back around and gets wiped out by Gran Metalik with a dive over the top ropes! Loud cheers from the crowd as Black shakes his head. Metalik grabs Murphy and rolls him back into the ring as he looks to pick up a massive upset victory!

Metalik shows off how good he is and flies around the ring in signature Lucha fashion even showing off some of the reasons he is called King of the Ropes! He walks along the ropes at one point and flies off BUT BUDDY CATCHES HIM WITH A WICKED KNEE TO THE SKULL DROPPING HIM TO THE MAT! Murphy turns the tides of this match. He lays into Metalik with a series of kicks and slams him down on the mat even making a point to glare at Black each time he goes for a cover but Black remains stoic and unimpressed.

In the closing stages of the match, Metalik once again uses Buddy’s lack of focus to get back into the ring and even looks like he might hit the METALIK DRIVER… BUT MURHPY FIGHTS OUT OF IT! Murphy rocks Metalik with TWO V-TRIGGERS not taking his eyes off Black before smiling to himself. He takes a moment to let Metalik stagger back to his feet and HITS HIM WITH BLACK MASS! Murphy uses Black’s own move right in front of him but Black remains calm as Murphy scoops up Metalik and hits MURPHY’S LAW for the win!

Winner via pinfall: Buddy Murphy (8:12)

Buddy Murphy gets to his feet and celebrates his victory tonight over Gran Metalik. As the referee lifts his arm into the air glaring at Black outside the ring. Aleister sits there for a few seconds before getting to his feet and shakes his head walking off! Buddy tries to get a rise out of Aleister Black but the champion gives him no attention, further pissing off the challenger. The commentary team says this will further anger Buddy Murphy who hates being disrespected and maybe that’s Aleister’s whole plan as we cut to a commercial break.

Taynara takes a moment to take a deep breath before speaking.

Taynara Conti: Nervous but something would be wrong with me if I wasn’t.

She smiles for a moment before carrying on.

Taynara Conti: If you told me a year ago, I would be in the position to main event Smackdown for the WWE Women’s title… I’m not even sure I would believe it.

Kayla Braxton: Hell of a rookie year.

Conti nods appreciating the compliment.

Taynara Conti:
But it’s time to stop thinking like a rookie. It’s time to be a champion!

Shayna Baszler: She thinks this is the old days doesn’t she?

Ronda and Shayna share a chuckle with one another before Ronda carries on.

Ronda Rousey:
But let’s go back to Lita and Trish.

Shayna nods.

Shayna Baszler: You two are seen as the women who brought the women’s division to heights they would have never got to otherwise…

Ronda Rousey:
But I single-handedly took it higher!

Loud boos as Ronda gloats about her star power.

Ronda Rousey: Without me, there is no Women’s main eventing Wrestlemania!

Shayna Baszler: I don’t think you two have even main evented a pay-per-view before?

Ronda shakes her head and looks at her shoulder with the tag team titles on her right shoulder with a slight smile.

Ronda Rousey: You don’t just want there. No, you want to be in the presence of true stars. True legends of the Women’s division.

Shayna smirks as she places the sunglasses on the top of her head and she looks at the titles on both her shoulders.

JAMES STORM walks out onto the entrance ramp with a beer bottle in hand as he takes a swig before being joined by BOBBY ROODE! Both men clink their bottles together as The Last Outlaws walk to the ring ahead of the United States title match. The commentary team put over James Storm being a veteran of the industry but this could be the biggest opportunity of his career. He steps into the ring as Bobby Roode encourages him from the outside of the ring.

Loud cheers from the live crowd as United States Champion CHAD GABLE walks out onto the entrance ramp joined by his manager KURT ANGLE! We can see Kurt whispering a few tips to Chad on the way to the ring, pissing off Bobby Roode and James Storm who shout abuse at the duo. In the end, Chad Gable is too much for James Storm and hits the ANGLE SLAM! He could go for the cover but Chad instead locks eyes with Bobby Roode locking in the ANKLE LOCK! James tries to escape but is forced to tap out giving Chad yet another United States title defense!

Winner via submission and still United States Champion: Chad Gable (6:50)

Chad Gable lets go of the hold on James Storm and gets to his feet looking to celebrate the victory… BOBBY ROODE ATTACKS HIM FROM BEHIND STRAIGHT AWAY! Bobby Roode though looks to do even more damage as he grabs the United States title and CLOCKS CHAD GABLE IN THE HEAD WITH IT! He then also tells Storm to lift Kurt Angle up and CLOCKS HIM WITH IT AS WELL! Loud boos from the crowd as Gable and Angle are down on the mat with Roode holding the United States title in the air as the commentary speculates that this is a sign of what’s to come and the show cuts to a commercial break.

We return from the commercial break and we see DANIEL BRYAN walking through the backstage area after his victory over Cedric Alexander on last week's show. He looks fired up as he looks at the camera.

Daniel Bryan: That’s what I’m here for!

He shouts that as he looks at the camera.

Daniel Bryan: For too long, I was talking and not wrestling. No more!

He paces up and down as he passionately talks about his win on tonight’s Smackdown.

Daniel Bryan:
I know I am at the end of my career and I’ve already had to retire once from this business!

Bryan points at the floor below him as he gets closer to the camera.

Daniel Bryan: I want to make the most of my time left and I want the best you can offer Shawn!

A message directly to the commissioner there.

Daniel Bryan:
I want to step into the Elimination Chamber so give me the best you have to offer as I want a qualifying match!

Bryan gets closer to the camera.

Daniel Bryan:
Don’t keep me waiting.

Bryan walks off elsewhere backstage as we then cut elsewhere…

We cut to a park with a wooden bench in a park with a bunch of kids and families playing in the park. The camera soon pans over to show KEVIN OWENS sitting alone as he looks at the camera before speaking.

Kevin Owens: After losing to Drew, I wanted to take spend some time with my family.

Kevin smiles as he watches his son playing in the distance.

Kevin Owens: Remind me of why I’ve done what I’ve done in the past.

He looks at his hands with a slightly sad look.

Kevin Owens: Good and bad.

Kevin shakes his head before carrying on.

Kevin Owens: And since then Drew has gone from Smackdown as has Sami.

A proud smile forms on Owens's face.

Kevin Owens:
I know Sami will kill it on Monday Night Raw but I need to focus on Smackdown and what I’m going to be doing now it’s just me.

Kevin gets to his feet.

Kevin Owens: To give my family the life they deserve I need to win prizes. Cats don’t pay for themselves.

Unless you can monetize cat memes.

Kevin Owens:
And there is a new prize I have my eyes on: The Universal title.

Kevin smirks slightly.

Kevin Owens: I was the second-ever person to hold it and since then, I’ve never gotten back to the top.

He shakes his head.

Kevin Owens: This means I could be doing more to provide for my family.

A slightly dark stare appears on Owens’s face.

Kevin Owens:
Sami, he is my conscience and he is no longer on Smackdown so there are no lengths I won’t go to in making sure my family has the life they deserve…

He pauses for a moment clenching his fist.

Kevin Owens: And get revenge. Roman.

A lot of venom as he speaks the name of the Tribal Chief.

Kevin Owens:
I’ve not forgotten that you gave the order to take Sami out.

Kevin walks towards the camera as he looks to wrap up the promo.

Kevin Owens: And now I know you are back, I’ll be back next week as well.

The promo comes to an end as Kevin goes back to playing with his son and we cut back to the commentary team at ringside!

  • WWE Tag Team Titles match: Heavy Machinery defending against The Good Brothers

We then cut elsewhere backstage as we can see EMBER MOON walking towards the ring and the commentary team confirms that our main event is next!

Loud cheers from the live crowd as TAYNARA CONTI walks onto the entrance ramp with the Brazilian flag draped over her. She is also in Brazil colored gear as she walks to the ring. The commentary team says the fans here are behind her but Conti will also have the fans in her home country of Brazil cheering her on. She gives her flag to a kid in the crowd as she steps into the ring and waits for the champion.

EMBER MOON makes her way out getting a massive pop from the live crowd. The champion poses at the top of the entrance ramp showing off her belt before heading straight for the ring. The commentary team put over the fact that Ember has been a fighting champion and taking on all possible challengers including Charlotte Flair and Asuka! Ember steps into the ring as she stares down Taynara Conti during the title announcements. Once they finish the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway!

Main event: WWE Women’s title match: Ember Moon © vs Taynara Conti

Match summary: Both women shake hands to start the match before locking up in the middle of the ring. Ember wins the first lock-up but acts a bit cocky on the second one and Conti counters taking her down with a judo throw before looking for an armbar… BUT EMBER MAKES IT TO THE ROPES! This is an early scare for Ember as Conti looks to follow up with a series of kicks but Ember counters and sends Conti over the top rope to the ring floor with a hard thud!

Ember follows it up by running the ropes and wiping out Conti with a SUICIDE DIVE! She grabs hold of Conti and slams her into the barricade. Ember is acting a lot more aggressive here (showing shades of her current ROH run, seriously recommend it) before rolling Conti back into the ring. The match carries on with Ember in control showing why she is the champion. Conti does make a couple of fightbacks with a series of kicks and judo throws but the champion stays in charge of the match as we enter the closing stages.

Ember climbs to the top rope as she lines up Conti looking for the ECLIPSE… BUT CONTI JOINS HER ON THE TOP ROPE! She lays into her before bringing Ember down to the mat with an AVLANCHE BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX! Conti makes the cover 1 2 Ember kicks out! Conti slams the mat a bit frustrated but she lifts Ember off the mat and looks to plant her with the DD-TAY… BUT EMBER COUNTERS BY HITTING A SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB! Ember makes the cover 1 2 Conti kicks out! Conti shows a ton of fight but Ember looks to end this as she grabs hold of her and locks in FULL MOON (Head trapped in leg scissors and yanking on arms)!

Conti is in a ton of pain as the commentary teams put over the superstars Ember has put away with the move but Conti is lucky to be inches from the ropes as she squirms her body around to get a right foot on the ropes! Ember breaks the hold on the 2 count but scoops Conti up off the mat into a POWERBOMB before heading to the top rope. She climbs to the top rope and connects with THE ECLIPSE THIS TIME! Ember makes the cover and picks up the win retaining her WWE Women’s title!

Winner via pinfall and still WWE Women’s Champion: Ember Moon (12:11)

Ember Moon gets to her feet and winces in pain having had a tough challenge from Conti in tonight’s title match. The commentary team puts over the fight shown by both women and says Conti can take a lot from how close she came to defeating Ember tonight. Conti gets back to her feet as they look at each other and the two women SHAKE HANDS ONCE AGAIN! Conti leaves the ring as Ember Moon carries on her celebration until…

A massive mixed reaction as SASHA BANKS walks out onto the entrance ramp with a smug look on her face. The challenger for the WWE Women’s title at the Great American Bash stands at the top of the entrance ramp and comes face-to-face with Conti. The two rivals glare at each other but Conti walks off as Smackdown comes to a close with Ember Moon and Sasha Banks staring each other down as we fade to black.
