CHRIS HERO VS ALEISTER BLACK
A one on one match between Aleister Black and the “Knockout Artist” Chris Hero was the fifth match announced for the event. The two men had been feuding with each other since late 2018, this match would serve as the feud ender.

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
The second WWE pay per view event of 2019 was the 32nd consecutive WWE Royal Rumble pay per view. It was announced for the 27th of January 2019 and it would take place at Chase Field

ROMAN REIGNS(C) VS FINN BALOR

The first title match announced for the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble pay per view event was for the WWE Universal Championship. It was a one on one men’s division match between the reigning and defending champion Roman Reigns(c) and the challenger Finn Balor. The challenger aka Balor won a fatal four way match on an episode of Monday Night RAW.

The third title match announced for the event was a one on one women’s division match. For the WWE Universal Women’s Championship. Between the current champion, Ronda Rousey(c) and the challenger Sasha Banks. Banks defeated Bayley to earn this opportunity at the title.

On an episode of Friday Night Smackdown the trio of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Naomi took place. The winner of the match would be the next in line for a shot at the World Women’s Championship. Flair got the win in the above mention match when she pinned Lynch with Natural Selection.

The first was a one on one men’s division match for the WWE United States Championship. Between the reigning and defending champion, Rusev(c) and the challenger the “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe.


WWE SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE BAR(C) VS THE GOOD BROTHERS

The second match announced for the Kickoff Show of the 2019 Royal Rumble pay per view. Was a men’s division tag team match for the WWE World Tag Team Championship. Between the current reigning and defending champions Cesaro and Sheamus aka the Bar(c) and the challengers the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows).

The third and final match announced for the Kickoff Show was a six man tag team match. For both the WWE Intercontinental and the WWE Universal Tag Team Championships. RAW GM Paul Heyman announced the match as a feud ender of an encounter to put two feuds to bed. The first between Dean Ambrose(c) and Seth Rollins and the other between Gloriously Gable(c) and Breezango.
