This is probably my last Mafia game for a while due to mental health stuff. I'd say a couple of months at least. I promised myself I was going to take days away from the internet when it's needed and it's a bit harder to do that when you're involved in a game obviously. So thank you guys for helping me learn how to enjoy Mafia again.

I think I've played 6 games on this site and that is the most games I've played in years. Got my first MVP on this site as Town and this is my first ever Indy win. So pretty proud of those accomplishments. Cheers.

majority lynch can be controlled by scum easier than plurality
it forces town to have an awkward vote on a player just for the sake of lynch
and allows scum to slip in their votes for free for the excuse of wanting a lynch

wheras plurality lynch truly reflects the idea of your vote = your power
the person with more votes on them by the end dies. period.
everyone votes for who they want to vote, not just to get a lynch going cuz majority said tho

basically majority lynches encourages sheeping and claim forcing sooo much which is ruining games imo
like literally every day someone will get voted by 40% of the players then be forced to claim and the votes move to another target then rince and repeat

its boring and not as organic as everyone voting their top suspects and trying to convince others to join

The problem is you don't really know how to play these games yet (maybe you'll play in one of mine one day), so of course you're only seeing it performed poorly. Things like wagonomics are still present, just requires a different kind of thinking. Majority lynches tend to accompany longer day phases, and philosophically many believe town should be voting as a block rather than wagons being all over the place. I could talk about this for hours, so I wont bore you with it all. But, try to be open to different rulesets, it adds variety if nothing else.

Agreed. I don’t believe town should get rewarded without a consensus and as scum I’d be livid if I lost a teammate who had a split wagon with town.

i've been playing plurarity lynches in all 6 sites i play on. only here its majority. im definitely not used to it yes
but can u say that u played both majority and plurarity and chose to stick with majority?

town is uninformed, and will remain so for 90% of the game. how do u expect them to always reach consensus without forcing claims and stuff? its just such a clunky gameplay

also plurarity also needs concensus

in fact u need about the same number of townies to lynch scum in plurality vs majority

say u got 9 players, 2 scum and 7 town left in a game

majority says 5/9 needs to vote a player to lynch him.

like 90% of the time when u have majority being formed on a scum player, they will force him to claim and if they dont like it they hammer, with a high chance that his scummtate just busses him and joins the wagon so the votes r 4 town and 1 scum on top wagon

on plurarity u will need atleast 3 town votes on that scum player to lynch him and to beat the 2 votes coming from both scum. but of course scum will try to convince other townies to lynch with them and the wagon will generally end in 5 votes to 4 votes

its basically same thing, except plurality allows more mindful utilization of vote power while majority just encourages mindless sheeping and doesnt punish it well

That being said I've played these rules sets for 2 years n it's what I'm used to. It's just different styles is all n meta n pushes n wagon analysis is required . Town will getvused to reading the new folks n it'll balance back out again trust

a townie doesnt do anything in this game

try that and u can get bus drove and shot right away. cant even be protected or watched
