action claiming is fine, flavor claiming isnt
specially with scum given fake claims

in this site, most of the roles are standardized and people expect to see a version of these pre set roles in each game one way or another

like im suspected for my gameplay apparently, but i say hey guys im a gunsmith

suddenly im no longer suspected

this isnt mafia, this is roleplay

i cant stress enough on how its more town indicative to hold ur claim than scum indicative

scum wud always rather show off their fake claims to get free cleared cuz they arent worried of being shot by mafia (altho SK is a threat for sure)

but town are generally more scared of revealing their role because they become sitting duck to both mafia and SK

it makes no sense to me why players get suspected for not claiming

its just weird cultural shock for me

Like it's fair enough if you're Sussed and gonna be lynched but breh

Once they want the claim jts over bc u either claim

U are more sus for not claiming and town will nevermore on and bc its majority u will just be lynched, and no other suspect will be considered

It's definitely a different vibe then I'm used to I guess. I feel like claiming was always allowed on TMF, but a lot of players chose not to do it. I think I had a similar experience this game when as soon as I announced I was Neighbor, the suss on me increased a bit. I honestly didn't know how NAI Neighbor is on WS so I really can't be read scummy for the way I presented. I thought my game play was fairly decent and then the Neighbor claim seemed to shake my position for a second instead of strengthen it. I also thought that there was scummier play in the game, Craig comes off the top of my head, that sort of got the benefit of the doubt for his claim I think? All in all, I don't mind how WS plays, I just don't like getting sussed for reasons based on how the forum plays and not based on my actual play, if that makes sense. Still had a lot of fun in the two games I've played here.

my play has been afk lol
i didnt know i was in a duel until like 12 hours or so after being in it
and when i came back i explained everything to the best of my ability
but was still forced to claim

at this point i just gave up cuz no matter what i do people refuse to learn how to read players without claiming
