I thought last night showed why Kofi needs to be solo and stop being stuck in tag teams. So how would you go about using Kofi?

Me personally I wouldn't him having a little side feud with Punk teasing pushing him into the main event like they did with Morrison a year plus back. Let him get wins over other midcard guys in great match after great match but have him come up short when it comes to actually getting title shots and winning world title matches until down the line where he can get a transitional title reign.

yeah, when stuck in the tag division you can kinda forget what an amazing worker the guy is... I just don't know if he's ever gonna be a true "top" guy who can carry a world title.... For me I would just love for him to be that next amazing IC champ with a super long run who defends the strap constantly.... Not a bad thing to be mentioned alongside Rude, Perfect, Patterson. Feuds with guys like ziggler, miz, sandow, christian, truth, d. bryan, etc... and eventually guys like Ambrose, Rollins, Cesaro and Ohno. Nothing wrong with being midcard if you are the absolute top of that midcard and I think he could easily be that.

Personally I'd push the shit out of him.

I expect the WWE to keep him is until he gets fed up and quits or they decide to just fire him.

This reeks of Shelton Benjamin all over again.

^ Well put.

Surprisingly Kofi hasn't once complained about his position on the roster and you have Rey who bitches non-stop and gets a push out instead.

I'd have Kofi go solo, a bit more agressive. I'd make him win Royal Rumble next year, why the fuck not? Wanna push this guy, do so!

I don't know what they can do with him. I like the Shelton comparison. He is too good for continuous midcard title reigns but not a Main Event guy. I liked the pairing with Truth but I think he goes solo again pretty soon. A feud with Miz or Cesaro would work.

Even though The Miz is a great talker, he was given the ball with the WWE Champion.

If they can do that, they can do it with Kofi.

I think a feud with Cesaro would be good right now. Although, I don't think he's held the IC belt yet, so a feud with Miz would be great too. I'd eventually see what he could do in the main event, give him a shot at the world heavyweight championship. Hopefully Ziggler is champion, because we saw how awesome their work together can be. I honestly see him being a top face. The crowd is already behind him.

The reason I don't agree with the Shelton comparison is that Shelton was too complacent. Shelton didn't want to work hard to move up. Kofi on the other hand genuinely seems like he wants to move up the ladder. He's just stuck in either or tag team hell. The feud with Orton was supposed to elevate him, but that was almost three years ago, I don't know if Kofi can come back after being in purgatory that long.

I like Kofi, I really do. I just don't see him as being anything more than a top midcard guy. I hope I'm wrong

I'll take it from here.

1. Have Kofi go on a losing streak then turn heel on one of his many tag partners, have him say he's sick of seeing other wrestler getting these title shots. Then let him win the KING OF THE RING and bring in Prince Nana from the indies to be his manager. Change his name to King Kofi Kingston.

2. Have Kofi break away from Truth have one of his random matches, during the match he gets something sprayed in his eye which leads to him being blind for a couple of months. during this time have him still be a face and have his return match in which he turns his back on the WWE universe, his main reason is he's found a new cult he hates what black people have become and he wants to be a "black white supremist" have him cut these promos about not wanting to wrestle white people because they are his family and he will never wrestle in front of black people. A couple of months later have him win the King Of The Ring and then change his name to King Kofi Kingston

As much as I love Kofi, I don't think he's A brand champion material, but he's most certainly B brand champion material. A feud with Punk would work because I believe they're legitimate friends and there's plenty of history and real life issues they could bring into play. They were tag champions together years ago and I believe they actually road together in Punk's bus, could be wrong. They could easily play all this into Punk's current storyline and how he changed once he got to the top.

Other than that, he's known to be the guy who'll steal the show in the MITB so have him win that.

That's why I think it'll work and can see it at some point can bring up how Punk promised change for guys like him but nothing changed, etc, etc. Could be a really good feud as Kofi has shown he can talk just fine on the mic when in a feud and the matches would be amazing.

Punk's running out of people to face, having a mid-carder step up and having the opportunity could be a good test whether he wins or lose.

I remember when The Miz was facing main eventers as a test then was given the belt.
