I agree with the original post...they tried to make Orton the #1 face last summer, and now it appears they've given up on him, heading into Wrestlemania. Punk/Orton i could see at Mania, but i still feel like they should have held off on the Miz's title win until after mania. Although with Punk/Orton it doesn't feel like much is at stake. A couple weeks ago Cena was waging a war against Punk and the new nexus, and Cena apparently has changed directions over night. Same with Miz...after cheating orton out of the title, he lets Orton stay in the rumble???

Some loose ends in their booking, but all in all, it's alright. I think should have continued to push Orton though, making him the #1 guy going into Mania.

I just don't see how Orton should be the #1 face, from a match quality point of view. Can somebody list me is three best matches from 2010? It's possible I'm forgetting some, but I can't think of any that it would be worth my time to go re-watch.

First of all Enzo and monk....fuckin hilarious lol.

Secondly....did that kid really just say Orton was the best wrestler in the company!?!?! Is there a rule that says you can ban someone for being legally Blue? Please tell me the answer is yes.

I am by no means a Cena mark, but to hint that Orton is better than Cena in any way is flat out stupid. Cena is better in every way, his matches are good if not great, dont give me that "he only has 5 moves" bullshit argument, the same can be said about Orton, Edge, HHH, Miz and even Jericho these days. I firmly believe it isn't the amount of moves you have, it's how you use them. Orton's promos have really gone in the shitter as well. The cold calculated promo delivery worked as a heel and even some of his early face stuff was good his promos during his feud with Sheamus were good, but now he has such a boring style both in the ring and on the mic it's quite sad but to be fair he wasn't ever super exciting in either category to begin with.

I know back in the summer I was one of the bigger Orton marks on here, but my god what a difference a few months can make. I felt giving him the strap in September was far to soon, even though he is a piss boring world champion If they would have built him up to be even more dominant before giving him the strap it could have been much better from a character standpoint. Once he lost the title was really when he started to get stale. Much like some of the criticsm Cena gets for 'always needing to be in the title picture' the same exact fucking thing can be said about Orton. I love Punk, but the potential Punk/Orton Mania feud seems like a huge step down for both guys who were feuding with Cena and the Miz respectively, who are arguably the top face and heel in the company.

To be fair, no one who matters has lost clean to Miz....ever. Aren't you glad we have such a dominant champion who is so believable, he could conceivably beat someone on his own?

...And Sheamus, Swagger, Punk or any other first time champ in recent memory enjoyed WHAT clean wins over the already established ME-ers during their reign? Shit, Punk was a face on his first run and the only clean win he got was JBL (who was jobbing his way into retirement by that point)....Or hell lets spin back to Rey in 2006 and all those clean wins he was having, shall we?

(Not that I expect an honest & genuine response to any of that.... Not really your style any more is it, Kaedon?)

Regardless, as MS already asked..... How the fuck is Miz to blame for his booking?

Wales, the land of beer and sheep.
Orton's matches are deadddd boring.

Also, Kaedon, dominating title bouts as champion doesn't = a successful reign. HHH's reign was hella successful as the dominant Raw heel with Evolution and he barely ever won ANY of his matches cleanly. In fact, he even didn't win cleanly against a noob at singles competitor in Shelton Benjamin.

And this is Miz's fault how?

He looks like a little pissant bitch that anyone can beat up. Even when Flair was a cowardly heel he still looked and acted like he could take care of business. He was big and compared to your average wrestler, he could look marginally intimidating. The only person less intimidating than the Miz is Barry Horowitcz. He carries himself like a pussy in his character, that's the direction the want to go, not because it's the direction chosen by creative, but because it's the only character he can pull off. Reason number 5,000 he shouldn't be anywhere near the belt.

But you're all right, I look forward to Miz vs. Cena (a squash match we've seen a million times already) headlining the greatest PPV of the year. It's like the Packers vs. the Bills in the Superbowl, it's a joke.

Yeah and if he went over a real name cleanly a couple of times he'd look like he could get it done in the ring too. I don't see how you can't comprehend this.

No, you don't "look like" something because you want to really badly. He has the face of a pussy, he has the body of a pussy, he has the size of a pussy, and he has the voice of a pussy. You can book him to beat Hogan in his prime cleanly and he'd still look like a pussy. You can paint spots on a chicken, that doesn't make it a leopard.

You still seem to have problems separating subjective opinion with objective facts so we'll just leave it at that.

Orton is just boring to me. Never put him in a stand off with anyone (like they did at the Royal Rumble with Cena), he throws the ugliest punches, he punches down on every opponent like they're Rey Mysterio. Never liked him as a champion, he's more interesting when he's in the hunt. And this slithering bullshit and Michael Cole getting an orgasm everytime he says the Viper strikes makes me want to switch the channel.

Note I haven't fully watched RAW since the summer time.

LOLin' at you SO much!

...As if anyone on the fucking planet would know you were frefering to Flair without his name preceeding that comment.

You'll spew any old crap in the interests of bashing Miz!

How is Miz any less physically intimidating that Jericho, Mysterio or Bryan for example?

(Btw, don't waste you 'breath' quoting bogus heights and weights..... We've been here before; you said Jericho was taller and heavier than Miz and subsequently you got TOTALLY schooled!)

Mysterio isn't intimidating, nor does he have to be, he's a face. And Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho have shown hundreds of times they could break your neck if they wanted to via their matches. I know, I know, it's wrestling and no one cares about that pesky "match" thing, but the fact of the matter is, when they get in the ring, it's believable that they could make anyone tap out, despite their small stature. How do you think HBK got around his lack of size? Sweet Chin Music, which he perfected. No matter how big, if you got hit with that, it was over. if it looked like shit, like Miz's moves do, it would have looked completely fake and his character would have had a hell of a time reaching the heights it did.

^No offense, but IMO anyone can make a superkick look good. I love HBK and all, but just because the superkick was made famous by HBK doesn't mean he 'perfected' it. He just made it famous, and I think the pre-move theatrics made the move more than the kick itself.
