Scott Hudson: “Big victory for Kidman in his return to WCW. He should be a contender moving forward for the World Cruiserweight Championship. Speaking of which, in moments we will find out who the #1 contender for that championship is. The former champion Psicosis takes on Super Crazy. The winner of this match will get the title shot tomorrow night on Nitro!
***
Interestingly, Psicosis comes out to the ring with his more modern and maskless look. He looks similar to how he did in ECW 2000.

Jeremy Borash is with Sean O’Haire, and for the first time in a few weeks, Chuck Palumbo.
Jeremy Borash: “Gentlemen, later tonight you both compete for the WCW World Tag Team Championship. While you’ve been champions before, I can’t help but think that considering who your opponents are, four of WCW’s all-time best, that this may be the biggest match of your careers.”
Chuck Palumbo: “That just might be Jeremy. But we’ve been ready for it for a while now. We’re the best team in the world. Harlem Heat, Giant, DDP, we respect ya, but we’re gonna beat ya tonight!”
Jeremy Borash: “Chuck, I have to ask, what about your health coming into this match? Just a few weeks ago, you were laid out in the locker room.”
Chuck Palumbo: “Yeah, and after we take care of business tonight, we’ll find out more about that. Trust us, we haven’t forgotten. But I’m ready.”
Jeremy Borash: “Do you think it was one of…”
Sean O’Haire: “Jeremy, like Chucky said, we ain’t worried about that tonight. Tonight it’s about the belts!”
O’Haire and Palumbo walk off, with Jeremy Borash looking a little frustrated about the abruptness of the interview.

Referee again tries to pull Finlay back, and Regal uses this distraction to use his hidden brass knuckles, the Power of the Punch! Regal locks in the
STF and Finlay is out cold, forcing the referee to call the match.
Winner: William Regal as Finlay was unresponsive in 11:29
William Regal walks off with an arrogant but confident look on his face. After running away from Finlay for weeks, he’s now gotten the better of him in a match…even if he did cheat. Not like that’s ever mattered to Regal.

Scott Hudson: “Coming up next, a match for the WCW United States Championship. For weeks now two masked men have attacked Test on Christian’s behalf, but Christian has claimed he doesn’t know the deal with them.
Mike Tenay: “There is some concern that these two may cause a disqualification tonight by attacking Test, to which caused Interim President “Rowdy” Roddy Piper to add the stipulation that if Test wins by disqualification, he wins the title!”

As Christian stumbles down the ramp with the US title Piper gives him a direct look and asks him “you really didn’t know about them?” Christian again claims innocence as Piper is disgusted.
Scott Hudson: “Jacques and Pierre, who would have thought they were the ones helping Christian? Or do they have a problem with Test?”
Mike Tenay: “It’s hard to say for certain Scott. We’ll have to find out on Nitro.”
Scott Hudson: “We will be sending the broadcast to Joey Styles shortly for some ECW action. But first, we head backstage again to Jeremy Borash, who is with the WCW World Tag Team Champions, Diamond Dallas Page and The Giant.”
***
Jeremy Borash: “Thank you Scott. I’m here with the lovely Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler, as well as the WCW World Tag Team Champions Diamond Dallas Page and The Giant.”
Diamond Dallas Page: “Yeah Borash, you here to interview the girls or what?”
Jeremy Borash: “Sorry Dallas, well, what’s the deal? Last Monday on Nitro Sean O’Haire went ahead and attacked The Giant! I know it’s all about competition, but I thought this was a friendly competition.”
Diamond Dallas Page: “It’s not all about competition it’s about these belts right here Borash. Now yeah, O’Haire, and really pretty much everyone in this match I’ve considered a friend of mine at some point or another. Even Booker and Stevie Ray, we’ve had some battles, but we go way back. Sean O’Haire, that was a brave choice. I get it you if you wanna blindside me. But the big man? That kid is either stupid or brave, or maybe both I don’t know. Look, three teams tonight…”
Suddenly Torrie Wilson gets really excited as Billy Kidman happens to walking by…
Diamond Dallas Page: “What the hell…”
Torrie Wilson: “Billy, Billy!”
Kidman comes over to the interview. He and DDP high-five one another and all is friendly. Kidman wishes DDP and The Giant good luck, and Torrie ends up leaving with Kidman!
Diamond Dallas Page: “I think we just lost a girl.”
DDP and The Giant look at Stacy Keibler…
Diamond Dallas Page: “Heh, I think we’ll be alright. Anyway, as I was saying. Three teams tonight. Here’s my pick, my expert opinion. I mean good god, pick the man with the plan! Pick D-D-P! And, if you ain’t smart enough to do that, I’d pick the team with the Big G on it then. Either way, you can’t go wrong!”
***
Joey Styles: “Hello everyone at home I’m Joey Styles. I’m here to bring to you the action for Extreme Championship Wrestling. We’re kicking things off in high gear as well. ECW World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and Sabu are on a collision course to ECW Hardcore Heaven, a Pay-Per-View event coming to you on June 9th. The question is, what type of match will they compete in? That’s what tonight’s tag team match is about. In a rematch from SuperBrawl, Lesnar teams up with good friend and former NCAA wrestling coach and teammate Shelton Benjamin against the #1 contender Sabu and his long time partner, and sometimes rival, Rob Van Dam. I understand Bill Alfonso, the manager for Sabu and Rob Van Dam is still laid up in a hospital bed after the attack by Lesnar on RISE. Nonetheless, here we go!”
Winning Team Decides the Stipulation for the ECW Hardcore Heaven 2002 ECW World Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (ECW World Champion) and Shelton Benjamin vs. Rob Van Dam and Sabu
RVD and Benjamin start the match, although
RVD gives a rare and even uncharacteristic middle finger to Lesnar standing on the apron. Benjamin runs at RVD while RVD was facing Lesnar but RVD moves and Benjamin hits the corner. RVD monkey flips Benjamin out of the corner. Benjamin quickly gets to his feet but RVD hip tosses him. Another hip toss from RVD. Benjamin retreats to his corner and RVD says to bring on Lesnar. Benjamin makes the tag. Lesnar seems hesitant before quickly running RVD into the corner. Lesnar rams his shoulder into the midsection of RVD…and Sabu is already tired of waiting. Sabu waits behind Lesnar with a chair and
throws the chair off Lesnar’s head when Lesnar turned around! Sabu stomps away at Lesnar as Lesnar tries to get out of the ring. Benjamin runs in but Sabu tosses the chair in his face as well! Benjamin rolls to the outside and Sabu places the chair in the ring. Sabu leaps off the chair onto the top rope and dives at Benjamin and Lesnar, but they catch him. RVD comes off the ropes and
flies into all three men with a somersault plancha!
RVD and Sabu set a table up but Lesnar grabs RVD and sends him kidney first into the ringpost. Sabu tries to throw another chair at Lesnar, but Lesnar catches this one and smashes Sabu over the head with it! Lesnar sets Sabu up for a powerbomb through that table, but Sabu punches away when Sabu has him up and gets a broken frankensteiner that sends both men over the barricade instead. Benjamin brings RVD back into the ring. As Sabu and Lesnar fight in the crowd Benjamin wrestles RVD in the ring. Big back bodydrop from Benjamin and a cover, 1…2…RVD kicks out. Benjamin sends RVD off the ropes and hits a spinebuster. Benjamin goes for a
powerbomb over the top rope and through the table, but RVD slides behind him and lands on his feet. Roundhouse kick misses though, and Benjamin hits RVD with a perfect release German suplex! Benjamin heads to the top rope. He goes for his own
Frog Splash, but RVD moves out of the way! Back in the crowd. Sabu is hitting Lesnar with every object you can think of and shoves him into a wall. Sabu climbs up to another balcony level, but when he leaps off
Lesnar catches him and dumps him face first on a row of empty steel chairs! Lesnar takes the chairs and violently throws them at Sabu one after another until Sabu is buried under a stack of 10-15 chairs! Lesnar heads back to the ring.
RVD catches Benjamin with a roundhouse kick. Jumping spin kick sends Benjamin through the ropes and onto the table on the outside. RVD climbs up to the top rope, but Lesnar’s back in. RVD sees him and leaps at Lesnar instead, but Lesnar catches RVD and has him set for the
F5. RVD lands on his feet, but runs right into a huge clothesline by Lesnar. Lesnar lifts RVD up high before bringing him back down with a huge backbreaker, then turns that into a full rotation powerslam.
Sabu makes his way back to the ring, and Lesnar sees him coming down and gestures at Sabu to bring it on. Sabu grabs another chair and slides back into the ring. Lesnar misses a clothesline and Sabu surprisingly drops the chair, springboards to the top rope by the table, and
drives Benjamin head first through it with a springboard DDT! Lesnar grabs the chair but turns around right into a
Van Daminator from RVD! Cover, 1…2…Lesnar kicks out and RVD can’t believe it. RVD puts the chair on Lesnar and Sabu climbs onto the apron.
Rolling Thunder from RVD and Sabu leaps over the top rope with a legdrop! Sabu makes the cover, 1…2…but again Lesnar kicks out!
Paul Heyman runs down to the ring, and again, he’s calling for someone else…
CW Anderson runs down but quickly gets taken out by a roundhouse kick. Sabu brings a
table into the ring and set it up in the corner. RVD and Sabu prop Anderson against the table, but Lesnar nails both of them from behind. Lesnar tosses Anderson out of the ring (so much for help) and sets the table up in the ring. Lesnar sets Sabu up and
violently powerbombs him through the table! Lesnar holds onto Sabu to make it a clean double powerbomb! Lesnar picks up the chair, but RVD hits him with a
second Van Daminator! RVD heads to the top rope…
Five Star Frog Splash connects! RVD’s in amazement though as Lesnar is able to keep moving on the canvas, and RVD realizes he won’t be able to pin Lesnar’s shoulders down despite just hitting his two bi moves. Lesnar flails over to the corner in a near sitting position, trying to get back to his feet. RVD grabs a chair and climbs up to the top rope…some fans start to get louder with anticipation as some know what’s coming next…
Paul Heyman tries to stop him though...
Paul Heyman: “Rob, Rob, look, there’s Sabu! You can finish this with Sabu now!”
Paul Heyman points to the prone
Sabu who was left lying by
Lesnar’s double powerbomb a few moments ago…
Paul Heyman: “You always wanted to do this! You can finish Sabu once and for all!”
Rob Van Dam responds the only way he knows how, but performing the “
Rob Van Dam” taunt, and then he yells to
Heyman “
fuck you”!
Rob Van Dam comes flying off the top rope and hits the
Van Terminator on Lesnar!
Joey Styles: “OH MY GOD!”
RVD drags Lesnar away from the ropes. 1…2…3!
Winners: Rob Van Dam and Sabu when RVD pinned Brock Lesnar in 18:16
Joey Styles: “We just saw for the first time ever, Brock Lesnar is beatable! Rob Van Dam just pinned Brock Lesnar!”
Paul Heyman is in shock as he helps Lesnar and Benjamin to the back. RVD helps Sabu up, and they shake hands to the approval of the crowd! There’s an embrace as well as RVD and Sabu have clearly mended any remaining broken fences. Because of RVD’s pinfall of Lesnar, Sabu will get a chance to determine the stipulation for the ECW World Title Match at Hardcore Heaven!

Joey Styles: “So this is what we’re following THAT up with? And I have to call this? You’ve gotta be kidding me.”
Disco Inferno, Alex Wright and Brian Christopher make their way out to the ring, bring a shopping cart assumingly full of weapons. Disco has a microphone.
Disco Inferno: “We understand there’s some video going around, some doctored footage, of a few freaks allegedly getting more attention than this group right here! Let’s make this clear, no one grabs attention at every bar every night more than the Disco Inferno, Alex Wright and Brian Christopher! Not only are we the best looking. Not only are we the hottest…but we’re the most extreme as well! Blue World Order, we’re going to prove it to you!”
The Blue World Order make their way to the ring to the crowd’s delight, but Disco isn’t done talking.
Disco Inferno: “Hey, hey, hey. Now wait a minute. Before we get to fighting we have a different challenge. You see while you were all out I assume eating the all the crappy food you could find here in Miami. We were out perfecting our moves. Not, not our wrestling moves. But our dance moves! So if you three have the guts, we challenge you to a dance contest!”
The Blue World Order accept, and Disco, Wright and Christopher go first. They each do their signature dance moves to Disco’s music to the disapproval of the crowd.
Disco Inferno: “There’s no way you can beat that!”
The Blue World Order theme starts. There isn’t a huge reaction for Big Stevie Cool and Hollywood Nova’s dance “moves”, but the crowd gets into it when Da Blue Guy starts his signature raise the roof dance. The crowd is having a good time…so of course Disco, Wright and Christopher attack!
The Blue World Order vs. Disco Inferno, Alex Wright and Brian Christopher
The BWO take over quickly and hit three stereo bodyslams. They check out the weapons their opponents brought. Nova finds a golden record and smashes it over Wright’s head. Christopher begs off, but Stevie clotheslines him over the top rope. Disco gets a kick on Meanie, but gets dropkicked by Nova. Wright gets back in and attacks Nova, but Stevie hits him with a
Stevie Kick. Stevie finds…a stripper pole. He and Nova stand it up and hold it down, and Meanie dances around it and hits what I think was supposed to be a dropkick on Disco. Christopher runs back into the ring but Nova and Stevie clothesline him with the pole. Christopher ends up in a seated position in the corner, and Stevie finds a bowling ball! Stevie hits the split right between Christopher’s legs! Wright tries for a German suplex on Nova, but Nova counters into the
Kyrptonite Krunch!
Stevie Kick to Disco Inferno! Meanie heads to the top rope and hits Disco with the
Meanie-sault, 1…2…3!
Winners: The Blue World Order when the Blue Meanie pinned Disco Inferno in 3:20
We get one more dance party with the Blue World Order before we cut back to Joey Styles.
Joey Styles: “Well, thank god that’s over with. Now for something I am truly excited to call. You’ve seen this match in WCW plenty of times and each time it was a classic. We have two championships on the line, Rey Mysterio Jr’s World Cruiserweight Championship and Eddie Guerrero’s ECW World Television Championship. One man will walk out with two titles. Man am I excited about this one.”
***
ECW World Television Championship vs. World Cruiserweight Championship
Eddie Guerrero (ECW TV) vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. (Cruiser)

Elbow to the arm drops Rey, but Rey fires some kicks from a lying position to create some space between him and Eddie. Rey gets back to his feet but Eddie elbows him and locks hands with the arm he’s been working on. Rey fires some punches but holds onto the grip. He leaps up to the top rope and comes flying off with a hurricanrana all while pulling Eddie towards him by holding onto the arm. Cover from Rey, 1…2…Eddie kicks out.
Rey runs at Eddie but Eddie surprises him with am armdrag and goes right back to the armbar. Eddie turns it into a hammerlock, but Rey grabs Eddie’s head, leaps up, then comes down with a super snapmare that sends Eddie flying across the ring and sliding to the floor. Rey

Asai Moonsault, but Eddie leaps away and
Rey plants himself face first on the floor! Eddie pulls the steel steps away from the corner. He sets up Rey for a suplex, but instead hits him with
gourdbuster across the steel steps! Eddie has all the confidence in the world now as Rey tends to his newly injured ribs. Eddie pulls out a
ladder of all things from underneath the ring. He drags Rey away from the barricade but on the floor and puts the ladder on him. Eddie rolls back to the ring, then uses the top rope for momentum as he leaps over the top rope with a
senton on the ladder,
crushing Rey underneath! Guerrero clearly hurt himself with that one.
Joey Styles: “Oh my god…what was Guerrero thinking with that? Now we have a ladder in the ring too, this isn’t even a ladder match!”
After both men lie on the floor for what seemed like minutes, Eddie drags Rey into the ring and brings in the ladder too. Rey fires some weak shots, showing some life. Eddie fights them off and props the ladder in the corner. Rey shockingly reverses an Irish whip sending Eddie face-first into the ladder! Frog Splash. Eddie leaps but rolls through as Rey moves. Hurricanrana by Rey into a pin, 1…2…Eddie just kicks out! Eddie gets his hand on the ladder and throws it in Rey’s way when Rey runs at him, and it smashes Rey in the face!
Eddie props Rey on the top rope facing toward the crowd. He looks to hit another belly-to-back suplex, this time off the top. Rey elbows Eddie in the face, and Eddie goes flying off the top and crashes onto the canvas. Eddie gets back to his feet and Rey hits a beautiful moonsault! 1…2…Eddie kicks out to Rey’s frustration. Rey heads to the apron.
Springboard hurricanrana attempt, but Eddie blocks and drives Rey down…then locks in what he calls the Lasso From El Paso! Guerrero pulls all the way back which has Rey screaming in pain! Rey refuses to give up, but he can’t break free of the hold either. Eddie pulls as far back as he can and you can hear the screams from Rey. Rey finally drags himself to the bottom rope, but it’s
ECW and Eddie sees no reason to release despite the referee’s warning! Eddie even adds to the pressure and holds onto the top rope! Eddie finally does release. Eddie sets Rey up and plants him with a vertical suplex. He heads to the top rope but takes his time, smirking again and making sure the crowd knows he’s going to finish Rey for good. Rey manages to get to his feet and bounce off the ropes, crotching Eddie on the top turnbuckle!
Rey takes the ladder and slams it against the crotched Eddie’s head! Rey sets up the ladder and climbs to the top, although slowly as the arm and rib pain accumulated from the match is taking its toll. Rey grabs Eddie’s head and pulls him up to the top of the ladder as well. Rey tries for a
superplex off the ladder, but his hurting arm doesn’t give him enough strength. Rey then looks like he’s going to hit Eddie with an
avalanche frankensteiner off the top of the ladder…but
Chavo Guerrero Jr. runs in and hits Rey with a
low blow! Chavo pulls Rey’s tights and Rey goes flying off the ladder and crashes onto the canvas! Eddie Guerrero slowly climbs to the very top of the ladder…and
squashes Rey Mysterio Jr. with a top of the ladder Frog Splash!
Joey Styles: “OH MY GOD!”
1…2...3!
Winner: Eddie Guerrero via pinfall in 23:13 (Retains TV Title, Wins Cruiserweight Title)
Chavo Guerrero Jr. helps the new dual champion Eddie Guerrero to the back as the Frog Splash took a lot out of him, although both celebrate when going down the aisle. Rey Mysterio Jr. takes a few minutes to even get to a kneeling position, and gets a standing ovation along the way.
Joey Styles: “That was bar none one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen. Damn that Chavo Guerrero Jr. for getting involved. I guess I should still congratulate Eddie Guerrero. But man, what a performance, what heart, from Rey Mysterio Jr. Thank you all for your time. I’ll be sending it back to Scott Hudson and Mike Tenay!”

Backstage Triple H hypes himself up by looking in the mirror, but then is surprised when Eric Bischoff tells him that he has to go as it’s an emergency.
Triple H: “Eric, where the hell are you going? Eric?”

WCW World Tag Team Championship – One Fall
Diamond Dallas Page and The Giant © (w/Stacy Keibler) vs. Harlem Heat vs. Chuck Palumbo and Sean O’Haire
Rules are set that one man from each team can be in the ring at once. We start with
DDP, O’Haire and
Booker T. DDP and Booker attack O’Haire, perhaps a little bit of revenge for O’Haire’s actions on
Nitro. Booker and DDP punch away at O’Haire and send O’Haire off the ropes, but O’Haire comes back with a double clothesline. O’Haire stomps away on DDP. Booker attacks O’Haire form behind. O’Haire reverses an Irish whip attempt and catches Booker with a kick to the face! Spinning neckbreaker on DDP from O’Haire. Cover, 1…2…DDP kicks out. O’Haire makes the tag to Palumbo and Booker gets one to Stevie Ray as well. Palumbo and Stevie Ray trade blows, but DDP tags in the Giant and the Giant runs over the both of them. Giant tosses Palumbo in the corner and hits him with two huge chops. Big boot from the Giant takes down Stevie Ray. DDP comes back in and knocks Palumbo down with a discus clothesline. 1…2…Booker T got the tag and breaks up the pin.
Harlem Heat send Page off the ropes and hit him with a double flapjack! Palumbo attacks Booker, but gets hit with a pump kick by Stevie Ray. Stevie Ray sets Palumbo up and Booker heads to the top rope. Powerbomb by Stevie Ray is combo’d with an elbow drop from Booker T! Booker has the cover, 1…2…The Giant comes in and breaks it up with a hard stomp to the back of Booker T. The Giant punches away at Booker T, but Stevie Ray makes the save and Harlem Heat pummel the Giant! Stevie Ray sends the Giant off the ropes and impressively slightly picks him up for a
spinebuster at the same time Booker hits him with a Harlem Sidekick! Giant rolls to the outside as Palumbo attacks both members of Harlem Heat. He doesn’t have much luck as Stevie Ray takes him out with a bicycle kick.
Stevie Ray puts Palumbo in the electric chair, and Booker T heads to the top and takes him out with the Heat Seeker dropkick! Cover by Stevie Ray, 1…2…DDP breaks it up. DDP wildly punches both members of Harlem Heat. Booker T counters with a knee to the midsection and the
Scissors’ Kick! Booker T makes the cover, but suddenly
Stevie Ray is dragged to the outside of the ring by Mark Henry, and
R-Killa breaks up the count by dragging Booker T out! Henry and R-Killa fight with Harlem Heat on the outside and it spills into the crowd as Palumbo and DDP lie on the canvas.
Palumbo and DDP both get to their feet and trade shots. DDP hits the ropes and almost surprises Palumbo with the
Diamond Cutter, but Palumbo stays on his feet to block, then scoops DDP up and lands a Samoan drop! Palumbo crawls to his corner for the tag as DDP does as well…
Harlem Heat, Henry and R-Killa are out of view fighting somewhere in the arena. DDP makes the tag to the Giant, but
O’Haire pulls his hand back when Palumbo leaps for the tag! Fans boo, and even DDP and the Giant look disappointed as
O’Haire steps down from the apron and walks to the back. Palumbo turns around into the big hand and the Giant plants him with the
Chokeslam. 1…2…3.
Winners: Diamond Dallas Page and The Giant when Giant pinned Palumbo in 9:07
DDP picks Palumbo up from the canvas and shakes his hand as he’s visibly seen saying “fuck O’Haire”. Giant and DDP walk Palumbo back down the aisle.

Booker T and Stevie Ray are still fighting R-Killa and Mark Henry somewhere in the concession area at American Airlines Arena until officials finally break them up. Booker has one thing to say about this…”I’m sick of this shit man”!
***
Scott Hudson: “Unbelievable. First R-Killa and his heavy Mark Henry screw Booker T over again. I get that this was likely revenge from Barely Legal, but this has gone too long. Then Sean O’Haire walks out on Chuck Palumbo! This was arguably the biggest match of their young career!”
Mike Tenay: “It’s disappointing to say the least Scott. Even Diamond Dallas Page and The Giant didn’t look like they wanted to win that way.”
Scott Hudson: “Well ladies and gentlemen it’s the match you’ve all been waiting for. The WCW World Heavyweight Championship is on the line. Let’s send it over to Michael Buffer.”
Michael Buffer: “Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time for the WCW/ECW Slamboree Main Event of the evening. Tonight, two of the greatest professional wrestlers of this new millennium will face each other…for the HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD!”
“ARE YOU READY?”
“Miami, Florida…ARE…YOU…REEEEEEEADY?!”
“For the thousands in attendance, and the millions watching at home…ladies and gentlemen…”
“LEEEEEEEEET’S GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLE!”
Motorhead’s “The Game” blasts through the arena speakers as Triple H, notably without Eric Bischoff, makes his way to the ring.
Michael Buffer: “Introducing at this time, one of the all-time great technicians of his generation, and one of the most ruthless wrestlers in the world. A four-time heavyweight champion of the world, he is known as the “Cerebral Assassin” for his cunning and strategic gameplans to defeat the best of the best. He looks to complete a twelve month journey of injury recovery with triumph and gold. From Greenwich, Connecticut. Weighting in at 267 poinds…he is “THE GAME”, he is Triiiiiiple H!”
“Medal” plays as WCW World Champion Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring!
Michael Buffer: “His opponent tonight, wearing our nation’s colors of red, white and blue with a little bit of gold and black. He is considered to be the greatest pound-for-pound professional wrestler of the 21st century. He is the 1996 Summer Olympic Gold Medal Winner in the Heavyweight, Freestyle category of wrestling. From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 234 pounds. The WCW Heavyweight Champion of the World….Kuuuuuuuuurt ANGLE!”
WCW World Championship
Kurt Angle © vs. Triple H
Kurt Angle and Triple H stand face-to-face, toe-to-toe. HHH fires a punch, but Angle will have none of it and nails HHH with punch after punch, backing HHH into the corner. Angle keeps firing, then starts to kick HHH as HHH crumbles down in the corner. HHH explodes out of the corner with a clothesline…that’s blocked by Angle, who turns it into a short-arm clothesline of his own. Belly-to-back suplex from Angle. Cover, 1…2…HHH kicks out early in the count. HHH backs away into the corner again as Angle is fired up! They tie-up this time and Angle takes HHH down, but HHH throws a kick which catches Angle in the eyes. HHH gets some shots in, then comes off the ropes with a running choke that drives Angle to the canvas. Back to their feet, HHH boots Angle, then clotheslines Angle over the top rope. HHH looks to bring Angle back in the hard way, but Angle brings down HHH’s throat across the top rope. Angle slides back in and hits some huge chops. Angle sends HHH off the ropes, but HHH counters with a swinging neckbreaker.
HHH punches away at Angle in the corner, then sends him off the ropes and hits him with a jumping high knee. HHH locks in the headlock, looking to wear down Angle. Angle powers his way back to a vertical base, then slides behind HHH and hits a German suplex! Angle holds onto HHH and tries for another one, but HHH manages to grab the top rope…and
undetected by referee Charles Robinson hits Angle with a low blow using a mule kick. With Angle bent over, HHH hits him with a facebuster to the knee. Triple H decides to get a little fancy and busts out a
modified Indian Deathlock on Angle. Angle looks to break free, but counters it into some sort of leglock that puts pressure on HHH. Both men roll to the ropes and Robinson breaks them up. Both men stagger around. They run into one another and Angle goes for the belly-to-belly suplex, but HHH hits a headbutt to escape, then plants Angle with a spinebuster! Cover, 1…2…Angle kicks out. HHH punches away at Angle some more, then locks in a sleeper. Angle goes down, but when Robinson checks to see if he’s out, Angle makes his comeback! Angle breaks free of the sleeper and sends HHH off the ropes, hitting a belly-to-belly suplex! He sends HHH off the ropes again and goes for a back bodydrop, but
HHH puts on the brakes and has Angle in perfect position…he plants Angle with the Pedigree! 1…2…Angle just kicks out and HHH is irate!
HHH argues with Charles Robinson. Angle gets to his feet and misses HHH with a clothesline, but nails
Robinson, sending the referee over the top rope and into he floor (with his face hitting the apron). Angle turns around HHH misses a clothesline…leading to the
Angle Slam! Cover, but we don’t have a referee! Angle slides to the outside to check on Robinson and this allows HHH to grab the
WCW World Title belt. They both get back in the ring and HHH swings the title, but Angle ducks and nails a German suplex! Then another one! Then a third. Angle releases on the fourth, and looks to finish off HHH. Angle locks in the
Ankle Lock for a second…HHH is able to kick free and Angle goes flying into the post. HHH slowly grabs the
WCW World title belt again, and once again he misses Angle! Angle takes HHH down, then locks in the
Ankle Lock again!
HHH has nowhere to go and taps out…but we STILL have no referee!
Then suddenly…
the lights in the arena go out…and they stay out…

*The lights come back on…
Kurt Angle is on one knee in the corner,
HHH is tending to his ankle in another….and
THE NEW WORLD ORDER…”Hollywood” Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are in the ring! Angle doesn’t know what to do, and neither does HHH.
Eric Bischoff: “My my what do we have here?!”
The NWO set their sight on Angle, and Angle runs right at them. That doesn’t help at all as the three-on-one mauling begins. Nash nails Angle with a hard boot to the midsection, then plants him with the
Jackknife Powerbomb! Hogan comes off the ropes and drops the
Legdrop! Hogan, Hall and Nash then make way for Triple H, telling him that
“he’s all yours”. HHH still doesn’t seem to know what to do about them, but he picks up Angle and plants him with the
Pedigree. HHH makes the cover, and the NWO call down
referee Nick Patrick.
Scott Hudson: “He’s a licensed WCW official!”
HHH makes the cover, 1…2…3! We have a NEW champion!
Winner: Triple H via pinfall in 19:11 (New Champion)
Triple H grabs the WCW World Championship but there’s no celebration. He doesn’t seem to want anything to do with Hogan, Hall and Nash. Eric Bischoff meets him in the aisleway and Bischoff seems a little disappointed that HHH isn’t sticking around to celebrate. Hogan has a can of spray paint. He and Nash hold Angle down as Hall sprays three letters in black on Angle’s back…N.W.O.

Roster Updates
“Hollywood” Hogan –
He’s been out of the limelight for nearly two years, since the Bash At the Beach 2000 incident. Hogan is arguably the biggest star in wrestling history
Kevin Nash –
After dominating the WWF as Diesel, Nash went to WCW, formed the NWO with “Hollywood” Hogan and Scott Hall, and changed the business forever. It’s up to you if you think it was for better or for worse
Scott Hall–
Asterisk here, we actually had a cameo from Hall in the ECW Television Championship Battle Royal at ECW Barely Legal and he got a write-up there.
