NXT opens with Kane sitting in a chair under a spotlight, his metal mask on as Interim General Manager Sting circles him slowly as he speaks, almost interrogating the "Big Red Machine".
Kane, do you know why I brought you into the Ultimate Wrestling Federation? Do you know why I brought you over to NXT and aligned you with me? The specific title of the occupation that you hold is, "bodyguard", but I don't quite see things that way, and that's because I'm not someone that needs the protection of a bodyguard. Bodyguards are for two different kinds of people, Kane, those that are unable to defend themselves and those that are able but are too afraid to. You'll find that I belong to neither of those groups, which begs the question of what it is you actually are to me.
A henchman? No, labeling you with that job title brings to your name the mud of expendability, which you are not. You serve a very valuable purpose, I view you not as an employee, but as a relative. When I hired you Kane, it was so you could become part of something bigger than yourself. This locker room, this management team, and every venue we perform in is flooded with non-believers and people that mock and doubt me, but you understand and that is why you bear the sacred colors.
However, I will not tolerate failure and this week you failed me. You were to soften up Rhino and destroy him; first verbally, then mentally, and then physically. You didn't do that Kane, you didn't show up to talk trash as all scheduled talent are expected to do. You must learn what it is to not only be without my guidance and my brotherhood, but you must also understand why it's imperative to never fail me. Therefore, even though I'm setting myself up for shame by sending you out there, you must be punished. Survivor Series is in six days and I have no time for distractions. In the future, either you fulfill your purpose, or you depart from me.
The camera cuts away from the scene and away to the show's graphic.
AND NOW, NXT PRESENTS...
EPISODE TEN: SURVIVAL BEFORE THE SERIES
Pyro blasts out from the stage in every direction imaginable, lighting up the stage in a sea of yellow. As the pyro dies down the camera does a pan of the arena to show all of the excited fans. The theme music of NXT continues to play until the camera centers on our commentary team of Joey Styles and Tazz.
Joey Styles: Good evening everyone and welcome to another exciting edition of NXT! I'm Joey Styles alongside Tazz as always and what a great night it's going to be!
Tazz: You got that right baby, tonight's cod is stacked to the brim with six explosive matches, and just days before the pay-puh-view!
Joey Styles: Some of those matches include the number one contender to the NXT World Championship Bully Ray taking on the "Monster" Abyss, Michael McGillicutty taking on Johnny Curtis, and the "Man Beast" Rhino taking on Sting's associate Kane!
Tazz: Also on the agenda is C.M. Punk versus Seth Rollins and Brock Lesna' versus The Miz, all those are gonna be great match-ups!
Joey Styles: And with that, it's time to get this show on the road, let's get to our first match!
The camera pans from the commentary table over to Christy Hemme standing by in the ring, ready to announce the participants of the upcoming match as the opening bell is sounded.
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...
"WHERE ALL MY BROS AT?"

The crowd ignites as “Radio” by Downstait hits the PA system and the “Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder makes his way out from the backstage area. Zack is all smiles after his victory at King of the Ring against Brock Lesnar as he throws up the LI.
Christy Hemme: From The L.I. Weighing in at two-hundred and fourteen pounds. He is the "Long Island Iced Z", Zack Ryder!
Zack makes his way down the ramp, looking out at all of the girls in attendance. He spots one he likes and calls out to her “CALL ME!” He then hops up onto the apron and climbs the turnbuckle and again throws up the LI.
Christy Hemme: And the opponent...
THE TRUTH...HAS SET ME FREE!

The instrumental version of "What's Up?" by R-Truth himself begins to play as the former NXTreme Champion comes out with an angry expression on his face.
Christy Hemme: From Charlotte, North Carolina. Weighing in at two-hundred and twenty pounds, R-Truth!
R-Truth reveals he's holding a microphone as he raises it to his mouth and begins to rap to his theme as he makes his way down the ramp.
Survivor Series Sunday, it's about time.
Where my guaranteed rematch is put on the line.
Bradshaw ain't back so Sting is still runnin' this.
This ain't McDonald's cuz I am not lovin' it.
What I do love is this match right here.
I get an early piece of this Zack Ryder queer.
I'm gonna jump up, then I'm plantin' ya face.
Straight into the mat, go 'head get you a taste.
I hear you axe yo'self how come that's so.
It's cuz I'm not playin' GOOD R-Truth no mo'!
As R-Truth reaches the end of the ramp, he enters the ring and throws down his microphone as the match gets underway.
DING DING!
Truth hits Ryder in the mouth with the point of his elbow then hits him in the back of the head with the side of his elbow. He then directs the point of his elbow to the abdomen of his opponent, and catches him in the mouth with the front of the top of his shoe when he brings his foot up for a wide kick. Ryder falls to his back on the mat as Truth delivers an elbow drop to the abdomen then gets up and waits for Zack to return to his feet. Zack begins to climb to a vertical base and gets hit in the face with a rising knee. Ron begins opening up on Ryder with a flurried combination of punches, knees, and kicks as both men moved from the center of the ring to the turnbuckle where Zack was cornered and Truth continued to unleash the physical punishment.
Ryder was beginning to wince at every hit now, the pain in his expression evident and aiding the sound of contact in illustrating just how hard Truth was hitting. In a desperation move, Ryder threw a punch of his own that landed square on the nose and mouth of his opponent, the impact and velocity of the attack causing Ron to stagger backwards. Zack charged him, leaping into the air and delivering a knee to the side of the head, bringing Truth down with a variation of the Lou Thesz Press as he began to open up on his opponent's head with punches of his own.
Tazz: Whoa! We're seein' some shades of Stone Cold here, Joe!
Joey Styles: I never thought I'd see Zack Ryder of all people pay homage to the "Texas Rattlesnake".
As Zack was on the offensive, Ron brought his arms together in front of his face to block the shots, the referee leaning in to make sure nothing illegal was going on. While the referee was focused on this, Truth brought his leg up, connecting with Ryder's groin and lower back. Zack cried out in pain and fell to his side as Ron dropped his blocking and got to his feet. He ran forward and kicked Ryder in the abdomen, the force actually bringing him off the mat as he hit the ropes back first and was sent back to the mat face first before rolling onto his back. Truth gave him no room or time to breathe because he went on the attack as soon as he rolled over, stomping the head and upper body of Ryder. Zack sat up and punched Ron right in the groin, then caught him on his shoulders as he slumped forward and stood up, holding him in Death Valley Driver position.
Tazz: Could we see a Ryda' Driva'?
Ryder looked to drop Truth to the mat then took a few steps backward. People looked confused then Zack executed the move, dumping Ron into and onto the referee with extreme force and quickness as he and Truth crashed to the mat. Ryder stood up looking at what he had just done as he reached into his wrestling trunks.
Tazz: What's he doing, tryna' get arrested? There are children in the audience, Zack.
Ryder removed his hand from his trunks, showing a pair of brass knuckles for everyone in view, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd. Truth began to get to his feet as Zack had a menacing look in his eye, looking anxiously as Ron got closer and closer to a vertical base. Truth got fully to his feet as Ryder charged across the ring and swung but Ron dodged it and reached around Zack's neck, grabbing his shoulder and connecting with the
Little Jimmy Leaping Reverse STO.
Tazz: Quick thinking!
Truth gets up and rolls Zack over as the referee comes to and begins to count the pin.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner, R-Truth!
Tazz: Well, I appreciate Zack showin' some intensity, but he tried ta' cheat ta' win and that I don't appreciate it.
Joey Styles: Definitely out of character for him, but with Survivor Series looming you've gotta believe these superstars are going to do everything and anything to head into Sunday with some winning momentum.
Tazz: And we'll definitely see more a' that lata' tonight, but for right now we gotta go ta' commercial. More NXT after this!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMMERCIAL ONE
This Sunday get the best of all three brands as UWF presents Survivor Series!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As NXT returns from its first commercial of the evening, we see Josh Mathews standing by.
Josh Mathews: With me at the time is, CM Punk.
CM Punk comes into the picture on the camera
Josh Mathews: CM Punk, tonight you face a new comer into the scene here in UWF and a man you have never faced, Seth Rollins. What are your thoughts on your matchup here tonight with him?
CM Punk: Josh, first of all, you're even lucky I'm doing this interview. Secondly, I am about two seconds away from leaving this without saying a word about my match. I know, you know, we all know that Seth Rollins is a new guy and we all know how I feel about him. If you have been paying any attention the last few weeks, you would know that I want to help guys like Seth Rollins out. I want to help them get recognized and help them succeed. Well maybe not succeed when they face me, but help them get to a point where they will be recognized to face the big boys so to speak in UWF and I am the biggest one of them all. Josh, I don't need the main event scene because I already am the main event. I could have the first match of the night and that will be all that matters/ When you're in the ring with me, I make you famous and that's what I am going to do with Seth Rollins in a bit tonight. Only problem for Seth is, he may not remember what hit him once I'm through with him. I may be in this to help others out, but I am still CM Punk, the best in the world and I will continue that right here tonight and into Sunday at the Survivor Series!
CM Punk leaves the scene as the camera pans back to the commentary table.
Tazz: Well you can't shake the confidence of C.M. Punk.
Joey Styles: This run in UWF seems to be the real deal, Tazz, and as we've seen in the past Punk is a dangerous man when he's in it one-hundred percent.
Tazz: You ain't kiddin', Joe. Good news is we don't have ta' wait long.
The camera pans back to Christy Hemme in the ring as she prepares to do the introductions.
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...

The fans in attendance erupt into a mixed reaction as "Cult of Personality" begins to play. The man the theme belongs to soon graces them with his presence as he kneels down on the stage, then stands up cupping his mouth with his hands, shouting, "Best In The World!" instead of the usual, "It's Clobberin' Time!". Punk cockily makes his way down the ramp, his eyes on the ring.
Christy Hemme: From Chicago, Illinois. Weighing in at 218 pounds, C...M....Punk!
Punk ignores the fans reaching out to touch or high five him and arrives at the end of the ramp, turning and making his way up the steel steps and into the ring. Punk joins his hands together and starts rolling them at the wrists, tilting his head back and forth as well as he awaits his opponent.
Christy Hemme: And the opponent...

"Flesh It Out" by Blues Saraceno begins playing as Seth Rollins comes out from behind the curtain in a very ecstatic mood as he waves his hands around in the air. Once he arrives at the center of the stage, he begins to slap it furiously to display his excitement.
Christy Hemme: From Davenport, Iowa. Weighing in at two-hundred and five pounds, Seth Rollins!
Rollins takes off down the ramp and slides into the ring, getting up and ascending the nearest turnbuckle as he poses for the crowd. After a moment of soaking up the energy, Seth hops down and prepares himself for the contest ahead of him.
DING DING!
Punk connects with the jaw of Rollins with a stiff right, sending him rocking with the impact and almost off balance but Seth places his hand down catching himself. As he begins to return to his feet, Punk throws a stiff kick, the point of his toes connecting directly with the kidney area of Rollins. Seth is sent forward, catching himself again, this time by putting both hands down. Punk steps on Seth's left hand, kicking him in the bottom of the jaw and following through with a DDT. Punk begins assaulting the arm possessing the hand he stepped on with vicious stomps, delivering attacks to the head every time Seth tried to shift the momentum of the match in his favor.
Tazz: A lot of viciousness being shown in the early going here.
Rollins finally breaks away from the assault as he rolls to his feet and he and Punk lock up in a measure of one another's strength with Seth getting the advantage, pushing forward as Punk begins to lose his footing and slide gradually backward from where he had them planted. Rollins exerts force forward, throwing off his opponent's equilibrium and sending him into the ropes. Punk is launched into Seth by the momentum, who sidesteps and slaps on a sleeper hold. Punk throws an elbow backward into the abdomen of Seth, breaking the hold, as he turns to face his opponent and headbutts him.
Joey Styles: And Punk is back in the driver's seat.
As Rollins shakes off the daze, Punk takes him to the mat with an arm drag, Seth landing in a sitting position as he found himself victim of a dragon sleeper. He threw punches into his opponent's head with his free arm trying to break it up, but instead Punk modified the situation so that he had Rollins in position for a reverse neckbreaker, following through with the maneuever after a brief couple seconds of delay.
Tazz: Punk is smooth as butter in that ring, baby.
Joey Styles: A nice way to maintain control.
Seth lay there on the mat, wincing from the pain as Punk stomped on his abdomen repeatedly. Punk dropped into a sitting position, gripping Rollins' wrist and fell back, applying an armbar. Seth lifted his leg towards himself, throwing a knee into the side of Punk's with enough impact that the move was broken up as Punk spun and held his knee.
Seth leapt to his feet and threw a stiff kick into the side of Punk's head, laying him out as Rollins ran into the ropes, executing and connecting with a rolling senton as he came off of them. Riding the adrenaline, Seth went to the nearest turnbuckle and launched himself to the top of it, as he turns and faces his opponent downed on the mat. Rollins stands up and goes for the
Phoenix Splash but Punk rolls out of the way and Seth hits nothing but mat. Seth hits his face and pops up from the mat, Punk reversing the situation into a bulldog, rolling Rollins over and applying the
Anaconda Vise, giving Seth no choice but to tap out.
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner as a result of a submission, C...M...Punk!
Tazz: Well I think it's safe ta' say that Punk is ready for Survivor Series, Joe.
Joey Styles: Punk making surprisingly short work of the impressive Rollins. Seth is going to have to pull out all the stops if he wants to be the number one contender to the NXTreme Championship.
Tazz: Well folks, it's that time again. More NXT after the break!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMMERCIAL TWO
Will it be the "Shaman of Sexy" or the "Dashing" defending champion that leaves with the gold?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We head backstage to see Johnny Curtis with the returning Maxine.
Johnny Curtis
Well look who's back. I knew you could take a pounding but I didn't expect you to be back so soon.
Maxine
Yeah well I don't waste my time wrestling those other hoochies so I've been cleared to travel already. I met with Derrick already and he's still recovering but he may be back in time for Survivor Series. Wrestling wise I'm not sure but I'll get right on getting you two back into the tag team title picture.
Now that's what I like to hear. Look I know we've been doing this whole runaround thing but once I saw you two laid out, I knew how much I cared about you. I'm going to avenge you two this Sunday. Nobody lays their hands on my best friend and doesn't have to deal with me and no one will ever touch my woman again after they see what I do to Brock at Survivor Series.
Maxine looks down and blushes.
Thanks. I know you're going to beat Brock Lesner and you're going to do great out there tonight also.
Don't mention it. Actually, do mention it, because I'm going to need to have the favor returned one day. Maybe sooner rather than later, if you catch my drift.
Johnny Curtis puts his hand on Maxine's chin like they're about to kiss but he walks away instead, leaving Maxine behind in a state of envy as we head back to the ring.
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...

"I Told You So" by Flatfoot 56, the theme of Johnny Curtis begins to play over the PA system but instead of him appearing through the curtain, instead Maxine is the first to walk out with an angry scowl on her face. As the rookie walks out onto the stage, she moves out of the way as Johnny makes a suggestive motion towards her, causing her angry scowl to become a look of disgust as the duo begins walking down the ramp.
Christy Hemme: Now being accompanied to the ring by Maxine. From Westbrook, Maine. Weighing in at 240 pounds, "The Thoroughbred" Johnny Curtis!
As they arrive at the end of the ramp, Johnny enters the ring as Maxine remains ringside. He ascends a turnbuckle and poses for the live crowd, clearly psyched about the upcoming match. He climbs down after a moment and looks to the stage, anticipating the arrival of his opponent.
Christy Hemme: And the opponent...

"And The Horse He Rode In On" by Reluctant Hero bursts through the speakers spread throughout the arena, as the crowd in attendance begin to boo Michael McGillicutty's arrival. McGillicutty takes a moment before he emerges from the back, a smirk accompanying his face, while he gazes out at the filled to capacity arena. McGillicutty stands at the top of the stage, spreads his legs and throws his arms out, followed by a confident roar and a steely glare directly towards the ring. McGillicutty's confidence is evident.
Christy Hemme: From Champlin, Minnesota. Weighing in at two-hundred and twenty-seven pounds, Michael McGillicutty!
McGillicutty takes a few moments to soak in the hostile atmosphere before he proceeds to make his way down the ramp and towards the ring. People can be seen hanging over the barriers and slinging abuse at the cocky third generation superstar, who has made his way to ringside and opts to walk up the steel steps. McGillicutty enters the ring and doesn't pose or anything, just gets ready for the match.
DING DING!
Curtis and his opponent stand nearly nose-to-nose as McGillicutty throws the first punch, connecting with the left eye of his opponent. Johnny fires back with a punch to Michael's left eye and the two begin trading blows in a take-turn fashion, the crowd trading "Yay" and "Boo" as they land.
After both men connect with about five, Johnny swings to land a sixth but Michael ducks and rolls out of the way, ending up behind his opponent as he throws an elbow backward, the point of it connecting with the kidney area of Curtis. McGillicutty reaches back, hooking his hand on the throat of his opponent and drops into a sitting position, connecting with a modified cutter that has disturbing snap and impact as Johnny's face smacks the mat upon contact. He lies there as Michael climbs to his feet and taunts the crowd.
Tazz: Sickening whiplash on that maneuver!
Johnny gets up, holding the back of his neck, as Michael anxiously waits for him to turn around. In a daze, Johnny does, as McGillicutty leaps and delivers a bicycle kick to the face, leveling his opponent. Michael delivers a knee drop to the chest, knocking the wind out of Curtis as he sits up coughing, McGillicutty grabbing the hair on the sides of the back of his head, as he begins to dribble it against the mat repeatedly. After about ten in rapid succession, Michael lets up and pulls Johnny to his feet, turning and hurling him into the nearest turnbuckle.
Curtis hits hard and slumps down into a seated position, his legs spread out and his arms hanging over the second rope, red-faced and breathing hard as McGillicutty charges and throws a stiff knee into his face, Johnny's head being sandwiched between it and the turnbuckle, rocking with the impact to and fro like a bobble head. Michael grabs him by the hair on the top of his head and pulls him to his feet, elbowing him in the side of the jaw as Curtis is spun around by the impact and now faces the turnbuckle. McGillicutty turns his back to him, placing his palms under the arms of his opponent, lifting him up as he walks out of the corner, now holding his opponent tormentingly.
Tazz: This doesn't look too promising, Joe!
Joey Styles: The end of the road could easily be right here!
As Michael follows through with the move, Johnny rolls, his legs going over his head as he lands on his feet in front of his opponent, driving a knee straight into his abdomen, the kneecap making stiff impact. Curtis hooks McGillicutty's head when he bends over wincing and pain and lifts him into the air, holding him in place. Before Johnny can connect with the delayed vertical, Michael shifts his weight and slips out of the hold, landing on his feet as he pushes Curtis with both hands, sending him into the ropes.
Johnny turns so he hits the ropes with his back, launching himself at his opponent. Michael launches himself at Curtis as well, taking him down with a lariat, folding him in half as his head hit first and his neck bent in the opposite direction, his legs and lower body going over his head to the point that his face was practically buried in his own crotch before his lower body hit the mat as well, Johnny lying flat as Michael delivers an elbow drop, connecting with the abdomen.
Joey Styles: What impact!
Tazz: Johnny Curtis looked to turn the tide there for a moment but Michael McGillicutty is just in another world of dominance this evening!
Michael continues to be in the driver's seat as he buries a knee in the abdomen of Curtis and has an arm wrapped around the back of his head, pulling him forward and delivering a series of punches with the fist of his other arm. After a minute of this, Michael removes his knee and climbs to his feet, grabbing Johnny by the sides of his head and pulling him to a vertical base. McGillicutty grabs Curtis around the throat with both hands and lifts him into the air as if to go for a chokebomb, then just throws Johnny, sending him into the corner. He hits the turnbuckle with hard impact and comes staggering forward as Michael takes off running towards him, connecting with the
McGillicutter! Michael covers Johnny.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner, Michael McGillicutty!
Tazz: I'm not sure I have words for that match, Joe.
Joey Styles: It was certainly an interesting contest, one has to wonder if Johnny's head wasn't on keeping Maxine safe or Derrick returning on Sunday.
Tazz: Or Brock Lesna'.
Joey Styles: That'd be a good reason. Well everyone, it's commercial time again, more NXT up next!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMMERCIAL THREE
Will Cena hold on to his gold or will Edge take it from him? Maybe Jeff wins it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joey Styles: Welcome back to NXT folks, we are three matches in and what competitiveness we've seen!
Tazz: That's right. McGillicutty, Truth, and Punk all head into Sunday having just won a match, and there's still others vying to share in that chance!
On that note, the camera pans over to Christy Hemme in the ring.
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...
"GORE! GORE! GORE!"

The crowd unites into a chorus of cheers as "Stampede" by Dale Oliver roars over the PA system. Jonathan Coachman and the man himself walk out onto the stage as Rhino throws his arms into the air, inciting more cheers from the crowd.
Christy Hemme: From Detroit, Michigan. Weighing in at two-hundred and seventy pounds. He is the "Man Beast", Rhino!
Rhino charges the ring and slides into it upon arrival, standing up and instantly getting into fight mode as he awaits his opponent.
Christy Hemme: And the opponent...
But Kane is in the ring as he delivers a clubbing blow to the upper back of Rhino, sending him leaning against the ropes. The bell sounds as Rhino turns around to face his opponent.
DING DING!
At the sound of the bell, it becomes apparent to both athletes that it's go time, but a bigger fire seems to be lit under Rhino as he charges his opponent, throwing up his right leg and connecting with the face of Kane, bringing him crashing to the mat with a successful big boot. Rhino runs into the ropes behind him and rides the momentum forward, leaping into the air and crashing down onto the upper abdomen of the Big Red Machine in a seated position. Kane sits up from the pain coughing, allowing Rhino to grab the hair on the sides of his head and bring him towards him, connecting with a headbutt.
Rhino connects with several more until Kane is in a daze, which is when he throws him back to the mat and returns to a vertical base. Rhino runs into the ropes to his left and rides the momentum again, leaping into the air and connecting with a body splash. The crowd gasps at the disturbing impact as Rhino returns to his feet, Kane holding his rib area as he writhed and coughed in pain.
Joey Styles: Is it just me or is there something wrong with Kane tonight?
Tazz: I'd say you're right, Joey, the Big Red Machine certainly seems off his game this evening.
Rhino grabbed Kane's shoulder and rolled him off of his side onto his back, delivering a devastating stomp to the abdomen. Rhino connected with four more in rapid and furious succession before grabbing Kane by the hair and pulling him to a sitting position, then grabbing him by the top of his shoulders and guiding him to a vertical base. Once there, Rhino whipped Kane into the nearest turnbuckle, following after and connecting with a body splash. As Rhino stepped out of the corner after making impact and returning to his feet, Kane slumped backward in a dead weight fashion, Rhino catching him around the waist, locking hands at the stomach as he launched backward and folded Kane on impact with the mat with a Bridging German Suplex pin. The referee quickly made his way over.
ONE!
TWO!
NO!
Kane kicks out!
Kane rolled out of the situation and ended up in a crouched position in the corner. The crowd booed as they noticed what was going on.
Tazz: Kane looking for the Gore!
Joey Styles: You can't be serious!
Rhino got to his feet and turned around, Kane charging anxiously across the ring, looking to cut him in half. But Rhino charges Kane and connects with a well placed high right knee, knocking the wind out of the Big Red Machine and stopping him dead in his tracks. Rhino runs into the ropes and is launched off of them, connecting with the
Gore!
Tazz: GORE!
Joey Styles: Nothing like an original!
Rhino covered Kane as the referee made his way over.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner, Rhino!
Tazz: Bad night to be Kane.
Joey Styles: But a good night to be Rhino as he finally got a measure of revenge on Sting.
Tazz: Well everyone, there's two matches to go tonight and we'll get to that action on the other side of this break. Stay with us!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMMERCIAL FOUR
Will Randy Orton's reign continue or will it be bullied to an end?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joey Styles: Welcome back to NXT. Tonight we've seen a preview of Survivor Series as the matches have given us a look at who wants victory the most on Sunday.
Tazz: And no one wants victory more than Bully Ray, but first he's gotta go through Abyss!
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...

A familiar whistling sound is heard as "The Beaten Path" bellows out in the arena and the boos ensue, followed by the arrival of the number one contender to Randy Ortons NXT World Heavyweight Championship. He looks at crowd with a rather large grin, obviously smug about his accomplishment at King of the Ring. He makes his way down the ramp.
Christy Hemme: From Hell's Kitchen, New York. Weighing in at three-hundred and twenty-six pounds. He is the number one contender to the NXT World Championship, Bully Ray!
Bully shouts a few brags on the way down to the ring and points at his calves at one instance, before making his way into the ring.
Christy Hemme: And the opponent...
Just as Christy lowers her microphone, the entrance ramp gets covered in flames and the whole arena is covered in red hue. Many in attendance get scared when flames blow up. After all, darkness covers the whole arena. You can hear two gong hits.
*GONG...GONG*

The entire arena gets covered in red hue once again. A guitar riff is still playing when out comes Abyss. Abyss walks through the curtain with a steel chain wrapped around his neck. Abyss is just standing on the stage as he looks into the crowd. He then begins walking down the ramp with his hands extended and flames cover the entrance ramp.
Christy Hemme: From Parts Unknown. Weighing in at three-hundred and fifty pounds. He is the "Monster", Abyss!
When Abyss is in front of the ring he climbs to the apron. He doesn't enter the ring just yet. While he is looking at his opponents, Abyss turns and nods his head to the right side, then to the left side. After a while Abyss steps over the ropes and enters the ring.
DING DING!
After the bell sounds, Bully Ray starts mouthing off to Abyss, prompting the "Monster" to hit him with a throat thrust as Ray staggered backward. He looked to follow up with a clothesline but Ray ducked and slipped behind him, connecting with a jumping Russing Leg Sweep. Ray started aggressively attacking Abyss with kicks and stomps to the body, then stepped over him and started delivering punches to the head and face. Abyss goozled him suddenly and got onto his knees, Ray looking petrified. Abyss rose to his feet and threw Ray's arm into position, lifting him into the air and planting him with a chokeslam that took the wind right out of him.
Ray held his back and chest, seeming to gasp for air as Abyss looked at him, no emotion in what can be seen of his face. Abyss goozled Bully again but Ray thought quickly and kicked him in the groin, following up by hooking his head. Bully leapt and turned in mid-air, driving Abyss' head into the mat with a spin-out DDT. Raylooked at the fallen Abyss and went to the top turnbuckle. He went for a flying elbow to the point of the chest but Abyss sat up in Undertaker fashion, and Bully connected with the mat behind him. Abyss stood up and looked at Ray, who was holding his elbow in pain and kicking the mat with both feet, and began to walk towards him. He grabbed Bully by the hair and pulled him to his feet, then delivered a knee to the abdomen that caused him to hunch, then threw him onto his shoulders.

"Next Big Thing" by Jim Johnston begins to play as the crowd erupts into boos. Paul Heyman walks onto the stage laughing at their voiced disdain, grinning from ear-to-ear as his client Brock Lesnar stomps out through the curtain behind him, stopping and looking down the ramp as he hops back and forth in the manner he's known for.
Christy Hemme: Now being accompanied to the ring by Paul Heyman. From Minneapolis, Minnesota. Weighing in at two-hundred and sixty-six pounds, the "Next Big Thing", Brock Lesnar!
Brock stops at the bottom of the ramp and hops back and forth again and then leaps from the ground to the apron, stepping through the ropes and entering the ring. He looks across the ring at his opposition, hopping back and forth once more as he smiles at the thought of the havoc he's about to wreak.
Christy Hemme: And the opponent...
AWWWWWWESOME!

“I Came to Play” by Downstait begins to play as the crowd erupts into boos. While this is going on, the ever-cocky Miz makes his way out onto the stage and leans forward, standing up and extending his arms into the air as he does his trademark pose.
Christy Hemme: From Cleveland, Ohio. Weighing in at two-hundred and twenty pounds, The Miz!
The Miz makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring, looking smugly at all of his opponents as the match gets underway.
DING DING!
Brock and Miz locked up to begin as Lesnar pushed the former reality star to the mat, wasting no time in flaunting the strength difference. Miz got up as Brock put his hand on his head and pushed him down, sending Miz to the mat once more. Miz, visibly irritated, got up again and Brock placed his hand on Miz's right pec, pushing him again but Miz pivoted to avoid losing his footing and hitting the mat. He grabbed Lesnar by the wrist and pulled him in, his shoulder hitting Brock in the chest and bringing him to the mat. Brock got up to one leg and one knee as Miz hit him with a stiff right hand. Lesnar returned to both feet as Miz threw another punch, but this time Brock caught it and pushed forward, causing Miz's arm to bend backward at the wrist as he's brought to one knee by the pain.
He threw a punch with his free hand, connecting with Brock's ribs and allowing him the opportunity to return to a complete vertical base. Once there, he delivered a headbutt to the nose of the "Next Big Thing" as Brock held his nose in pain, turning his back to his opponent. Miz took advantage of this and leapt forward, hooking his head and going for a bulldog attempt but Brock grabbed Miz's lower thigh and exerted himself forward, dumping Miz onto the top rope, crotching him as the crowd let out a collective "ooh!".
Joey Styles: Well, The Miz's facial expression certainly tells the story.
Tazz: Poor Maryse.
Brock was in predator mode now as he punched Miz in the face with a straight left, then swung around and caught him in the side of the head with a stiff right. Miz was knocked off the rope and fell towards the outside floor, his leg smacking the apron before he made contact. Brock stepped through the ropes and dropped from the apron, hitting the rising Miz in the back of the neck with the point of his elbow. Miz fell to the ground, catching himself with his arms, prompting Brock to respond with a repeat attack, the point of his elbow connecting with Miz's spine as Miz now fell to his face.
Tazz: Brock just took away the function of his reproductive organ, now he wants to paralyze him too.
Joey Styles: Would you stop?
Miz began to get up again as Brock grabbed him by the back of the head, driving him face first into the nearby steel steps. Miz lay there feeling the effects of it as Brock pulled him back and threw him forward, driving his face into the steel again. Refusing to relent, Lesnar grabbed Miz by the back of his neck and the back of his tights and spun, hurling him head first into the ringside barricade. Miz hit and rolled into a sitting position as he leaned against the barricade, but there was still no letting up as Brock grabbed him by the wrist and irish whipped him back into the steel steps, the top bouncing past the downed Miz and the bottom half only slightly removed from the turnbuckle after impact.
Miz pushed from the floor and got to his knees and elbows, looking down at the ground as Brock grabbed him by the back of the neck and back of the tights again, lifting him off the ground as if he were weightless, and threw him towards the ring. Miz went through the ropes and hit the mat, rolling a few times before being left lying on his back. Brock leapt onto the apron and stepped through the ropes to re-enter the ring, heading right for Miz upon doing so. Brock grabbed Miz by the hair on the back of his head as Miz had his face to Lesnar's thigh. Brock threw his fist downward, connecting with Miz's forehead as Miz was laid out again. Lesnar dragged him across the mat by his hair towards the nearest turnbuckle, gesturing to Miz with a cutthroat sign once the dragging had ceased.
Tazz: That can't be good.
Brock picked Miz up and threw him onto his shoulders for the F5, yelling out, "AWESOME!" mockingly as he laughed and held him there for a moment. Miz took advantage of this as he slipped loose and got behind Brock, sliding his arms under the big man's and looking to hook the hands for the full nelson set-up to the SCF.
Joey Styles: Here it comes!
But Brock threw his arm backward and elbowed Miz in the face, turning to face him and connecting quickly with a release belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar was back to his feet quickly as he grabbed Miz by the hair and pulled him to a sitting position. Miz punched Brock in the knee and began to continuously do so in rapid succession until the knee buckled and Lesnar was brought down. When this happened, Miz connected with a thumb to the eye and grabbed Brock by the wrist, irish whipping him into the corner back first. Brock hit hard as Miz was following close behind, rearing back with his hand and delivering a knife edge chop to the chest. Lesnar cried out in pain as Miz did it again, yielding a more anguish filled cry of pain from the former U.S. Champion.
Miz now did a series of chops in a faster fashion, chopping in one direction and then quickly switching arms and chopping in the other direction, repeating this process several times. After a moment of success, Brock saw an opening and delivered a punch to the face of his opponent, taking Miz slightly off balance as he staggered backward.
Tazz: Don't let him take advantage, kid, fight off the grogginess!
Joey Styles: Here comes the pain, I'm afraid.
Joey was right as Lesnar came firing out of the corner with a ravaging lariat, bringing Miz crashing to the mat. But the kid continued to show heart as he was up on his arms not long after, but Brock grabbed him and stuck his head between his legs, lifting him into powerbomb position. Miz fought hard with a series of rights to Lesnar's left eye and his attempt was met with success as Brock lost balance and fell backward, hitting his head on the turnbuckle as Miz leapt on top of it, watching Lesnar stagger forward and fall onto his face before rolling over onto his back. Miz screamed out, "AWESOME!" before going for a flying headbutt, but right before impact Brock put his leg up and Miz's head hit that instead as he staggered backward into the corner and slumped down into a sitting position.
Lesnar got up and kicked him in the face to daze him, then pulled him to his feet. Brock locked his arms around Miz's waist and hurled him out of the corner with another release belly-to-belly but Miz reversed at the height of the throw, rolling through and bringing Lesnar to the mat with a form of reverse jawbreaker.
Joey Styles: OH MY GAHD!
Tazz: Only on NXT, baby!
Miz was fired up as he signaled for Brock to get up, who answered his request with minimal effort. Lesnar went after Miz who went immediately on the offensive, lighting into him with strike after strike before kicking him in the stomach and hooking his head, throwing him quickly and connecting with a vertical suplex! Miz swung his legs around and got up, still holding Brock, as he threw him upward and connected with another suplex! The crowd was electric as Miz picked up Lesnar and brought him down with a third. Unfortunately, he got cocky and set up for a fourth and when he did, Brock delivered a knee to his abdomen. Brock goozled him but Miz chopped his arm away and threw a punch, connecting right between the eyes.
Brock threw a wide punch in response but Miz ducked it and slipped behind him, hooking the full nelson and sweeping the leg quickly, connecting with the SCF! Miz looked surprised at his own accomplishment as he rolled Brock over and went for the pin.
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Lesnar kicked out!
Brock got to his feet and went for a lariat but Miz sidestepped, slipped behind him, and connected with the SCF again! Lesnar lay there in a daze as Miz rolled him over and went for the cover but Brock grabbed his face with one hand and pushed him off, kipping up to a vertical base. Miz rolled to his feet and charged Lesnar, who nearly tore through his entire neck with a vicious lariat. Not long after Miz hit the mat, Brock grabbed him and placed his head between his legs, lifting him into powerbomb position and slamming him to the mat as hard as he could. But Lesnar wasn't done as he maintained his hold on the Miz, who visibly had the wind knocked out of him, and lifted him up again, delivering another canvas shaking powerbomb!
The brutality wasn't over as Lesnar held on and lifted a lifeless looking Miz up for the trifecta, delivering it with devastating force and holding him down for the pin.
ONE!
TWO!
THR...NO!
Miz kicks out!
At the last possible second, Miz got his foot on the rope as the crowd actually cheered. Miz used the ropes to gradually climb to his feet as Brock sized him up, hopping back and forth in his trademark taunt as he hungrily waits to deliver the F5.
Tazz: Miz showed a lotta' haught kickin' outta those powerbombs, Joe, but this is gonna be all she wrote.
Joey Styles: I think you're right, Tazz.
Miz gets to a vertical base, his legs wobbly, and turns around, staggering towards Lesnar, right into his grasp as Brock throws him onto his shoulders and hits him with the F5! Brock covers Miz, hooking the leg.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE...NO!
MIZ KICKS OUT!
Brock can't believe it and neither can the fans in attendance as not a single one of them is seated at this point. Lesnar gets up and paces around angrily as Miz sits up and places his hands at his side, beginning to push himself to his feet with what's left of his energy.
Joey Styles: He's taken three powerbombs. He's taken an F-5. I have never seen such endurance from The Miz!
Tazz: And Brock Lesnar's going nuts over it!
Brock looks to go back on the offensive as Miz returns to a vertical base. Miz hits Brock in the abdomen with a hard right. Lesnar hunches over as Miz clubs him over the back of the head with a left forearm, then follows up with a bulldog. Miz gets up quickly, leaping into the air and connecting with a knee drop to the back of Brock's head. He returns to his feet and connects with another knee drop, then gets to his feet again, rolling Brock onto his stomach and hooking his head, pulling him to a vertical base. Miz drapes Brock's arm over the back of his neck and lifts, going for a suplex as he has his opponent straight up in the air for the delay but Lesnar swings downward, kicking Miz in the abdomen with both feet. Brock lands on the mat in a sitting position and Miz is sent into the nearest corner back first.
Joey Styles: Well it was an impressive second wind but it's back to the drawing board.
But Miz isn't letting the momentum change that easily as he charges out of the corner and delivers a dropkick to Brock just as he's getting to his feet, knocking the "Next Big Thing" backward into the corner he's nearest, his head against the bottom turnbuckle pad. Miz takes advantage of this and turns his leg, delivering several kicks to the face in rapid succession that caused his opponent's head to rattle against the padding. When it seemed Brock was in a daze, Miz grabbed him by the hair and pulled him to his feet, swinging around and throwing him to the center of the ring.
As Brock hit the mat, Miz marveled at his own strength so late in the match, taunting his opponent and the crowd. Lesnar stood up and threw a right punch but Miz smacked the fist away with his left arm, so Brock threw a left punch but Miz stopped this attempt too by swatting the fist away with his right arm. Brock kneed Miz in the abdomen, and as the "Awesome One" hunched over from the pain, Lesnar grabbed him by the sides of his head and pulled forward, throwing a knee into Miz's throat.
Brock holds Miz to his raised knee for a moment before removing it and releasing his hold. He expected Miz to fall flat to the mat, but Miz caught himself with his hands and slipped behind Brock, rising from the mat and throwing a knee into the groin of his opponent. As Lesnar winces in pain, Miz slaps on the full nelson and connects with the SCF! Miz rolls Brock onto his back and collapses into the pin attempt, his energy exhausted.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING DING!
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner, The Miz!
Joey Styles: The Miz has beaten the odds and overcome Brock Lesnar!
Tazz: We might be looking at the next number one contender to the NXT World Championship, Joe.
NXT goes off the air with a close-up on The Miz, exhausted but victorious.
