Thats fair i suppose.

My main point was, is that they arent above murder, killing a man who, as far as i recall didnt like the saudis, and so they murdered him, if thats the kind of people i was stuck with id be a bit on edge aswell.

Im not really looking for a conspiracy, i just wouldnt put it past them to do....something, like i said i got no clue what the intent is if they are keeping them there, nobody does, its all just strange and this aint the first time somethign akin to this has happened.

He was a dissident. He left the country and criticized them from another country. Also, although he was a well known journalist, he wasn't a celebrity from a different country

No country is above murder if it suits their purposes. But Saudi Arabia is not going to kill any WWE employees. They are not going to harm any WWE employees. I would put it past them to harm a single hair on the head of any of those WWE employees.

Why is it strange? Why is it so strange to believe they might be telling the truth about the mechanical issue?

Because as stated in the OP of this thread. Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that there are several people in Saudi Arabia who do not believe that the plane didn’t take off due to mechanical issues.

"Basically what happened was yesterday everyone got on the plane and then they were told to get off the plane.

All I know is that there are people there who have insisted that there is no mechanical issue, that’s not why the flight did not take off. That fact that several people left that people left, they got off that and chartered a second flight and now that one is also not going to make it back in time. I mean we would have to believe that that flight also just happened to have mechanical issues.

I also know that the talent last night was told you’re probably not going to take off for another twelve to fourteen hours. Now I have been on flights before where there were mechanical issues and the issues weren’t going to be cleared up for several hours and we were just taken off the plane and put on another flight and we left so it’s a very strange story here. There is obviously more than we’ve been told and I presume that we are going to hear more of that over the next twenty four to forty eight hours.”

And again, all of that, combined with the fact that this has happened nearly every time to they go there is what is strange, when something goes from happening once to damn near every single time regulerly? it goes from coincidence to suspicious.

There are several people in the US who think that George W Bush ordered 9/11. There are several people who believe the moon landings were faked. There are even several people who believe the Earth is flat. None of that matters. It's human nature to jump to conclusions. The only people whose opinions matter about the mechanical issues are mechanics.

"Basically what happened was yesterday everyone got on the plane and then they were told to get off the plane.

I have flown less than 10 times in my life and had this happen at least four times. It's irrelevant.

Did these people inspect the plane? Are they qualified to know about the mechanics of an airplane in order to make such a statement?

You cannot judge this off of your own personal experience. That is what we call anecdotal evidence. Just because something happens differently in one situation than it happened in yours is no reason to become suspicious.

Ok, and going back to my flight story, I was stuck on the airplane for 4 hours just sitting there near the gate in the hot noon Texas summer sun before they decided to let us off (oh yeah, and the fun part was that the mechanical issue turned out to apparently be that the A/C wasn't working xD). That was just a 3 hour domestic flight that turned into a total of 30 hours stuck due to multiple issues. I don't see why it's hard to imagine a 16 hour international flight having similar issues, especially considering the criteria for the plane being flight-worthy for such a trip would presumably be of a higher standard.

Also, Alvarez is an idiot. It's not entirely relevant to the discussion, but since his name is being used as a main source, I wanted to make sure I threw that in there.

Look, all im saying is i think its strange, alright? its strange that this keeps happening allmost every time WWE goes to saudi arabia, maybe its coincidence, maybe its not, i dont know, all the "idiot" was saying was what he knew about the situation, thats it.

Regardless im still gonna keep yall updated as to what happens, weither it turns out to be nothing, or if the saudis do something, whatever happens im sure we will find out at some point today or tomorrow.

I don't want you to get the wrong impression, here. I am not trying to belittle your concern. Concern is a good thing. I am just saying that at this moment, critical thinking indicates that there is nothing to be worried about. Everything that has happened so far is easily explainable.

And besides, if they were trying to provoke the United States in some way, they would have kept Vince McMahon in the country. He is good friends with our president and if they were trying to cause trouble, that would have been the course to go.

I never called anyone an "idiot." I wouldn't do that. And I am sorry if you feel exasperated. I am not trying to make you feel that way. All I am doing is presenting the facts in the situation and telling you they are not as strange as you think they are.

And if this happens every time they go to Saudi Arabia, then it reinforces the fact that it's not a conspiracy.

Vince's private hangar is located in Saudi Arabia.
wouldn't be surprised.

On the slightly brighter side, Smackdown tonight is gonna be the most unpredictable WWE show in a while because nobody knows who's gonna show up.

And that's the first time I referred to Donald Trump as "our president." Yikes, I was put into the position of saying something good about him. GRRR :)

On the even brighter side, they didn't cancel Smackdown like they did a few years ago for Raw when we got that awesome snowstorm

You agreed with Red and said something almost good about Trump in a span of a few hours. Did you get hacked? Or is Hell in a state of deep freeze now?

There is no doubt about it now. The Apocalypse is nigh.
