Yeah but it's the frickin' Undertaker at WM. There's about 3 people on the active roster credible enough to face him and even that's pushing it. Bryan is a midcarder at best who's never even been in the ME of a PPV never mind against Taker at WM.

:harvey: You serious?

I respectfully disagree. A guy with his talent could be built up to face Taker in a month. I don't think it should happen, but DB could pull it off.

It just can't happen at all for me, he would have to go over at least 3 of the top guys in that time for that to even look remotely realistic and even then, you're left with this Blue situation where Bryan would be the underdog who everybody would be cheering for and 'Taker would be portrayed as the bad guy. Bryan's bloody incredible but I don't think any wrestler ever (especially one of his size) could gain that amount of credibility that quickly.

Even though I'm a DB mark I must say his character isn't in the point of being credible enough to face Taker at WM. I'd love to see it, but I guess it'd be better if he was looking stronger.

DB turns on Kane, whips him good, takes him out for months. He goes on a rampage taking out everyone in his path. Taker confronts him, DB puts a no lock on him and leaves him lying. There's a start right there. Once again, I'm not hoping that they do it, just showing it can be done.

Yeah, there's still time to build him up, then the match with Taker solidifies him as a badass.

But it would look absolutely ridiculous IMO and even then it could be seen as a fluke. It works in the head of us smarks cause we all bone over the guy, but to a casual he's just seen as a midcarder and it would look really fake to anybody. Besides, although I doubt WM28 will need it that much, Bryan/Taker isn't gonna draw at all.

My point exactly, even if he loses, he gains.

He held the WHC for months, the 18 second match aside. He beat a lot of guys and opened a lot of causal eyes imo.

Although there's nothing stopping them from having Taker/DB at 30 or 31, since it seems like Taker is staying for a while.

Yeah but did even gain one clean victory in that time? Anyway, casuals will mainly just watch the match and think 'why the hell is this guy facing Undertaker, he's shit?', they won't judge him on something that happened a year ago. Next year, yes, he could face Taker no doubt, but a 3 month change into a monster isn't possible, and would only make people question if Undertaker 'still has it'.

Royal Rumble 2012. He escaped the cage, fully legit manner of win in that match type. Elimination chamber 2012. When they won the tag titles and so forth.

Right, does Taker still have it. The only reason the streak matches can mean anything is if you feel theres a chance he can lose. If people start questioning whether he's past his prime, and don't think he can win, it makes the situation more believable.

The first was a decent win although he essentially just ran away, the second was a win over bloody Santino lol.

I actually can see how that would be a good thing, but in the same way it makes the streak a lot less credible. IMO there should be no doubt after he finishes wrestling that he is 'at his best', anything other than that just makes the streak look less legit.

Who is incredibly over and thus credible in the eyes of the casuals
