Main Card
Lightweight bout: Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller
Heavyweight bout: Pat Barry vs. Lavar Johnson
Middleweight bout: Rousimar Palhares vs. Alan Belcher
Welterweight bout: Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks

Prelimnary Card

Welterweight bout: John Hathaway vs. Pascal Krauss
Flyweight bout: Louis Gaudinot vs. John Lineker
Lightweight bout: Danny Castillo vs. John Cholish
Middleweight bout: Mike Massenzio vs. Karlos Vemola

This thread hasn't gotten too much attention in a while, so thought I'd re-post the Cards/Poster seeing as the show is next month. Anyways, pretty damn good card and I'm going to be at this show Live so it's going to be even better. Diaz/Miller is going to be a war, Barry/Johnson will be good for what it is Palhares is going to rip Belcher's ankle off and Koscheck/Hendricks is going to really decide who takes that big leap into title contention at welterweight. Amazing card top to bottom, prelim card is alright but the maincard more than makes up for a weak prelim.

Really looking forward to this, will definitley try to catch it.

Possible suggestion NMS, what about adding the dates of the events in the thread titles? I always forget when these shows are!

Hendricks knocked out my boy Fitch, now I want him to be painfully embarrassed by Kos.

Or see Kos get ktfo'd, either way I care for neither.

I could do something like that, trying to get more people involved in live discussions for these shows, especially good quality ones like this.

Wouldn't want to sit here and talk to myself, spamming my own thread for 3 hours.

Really good card... for FX, not Fox. No casual fan would wanna watch that. Heck casual fans forget who their lightweight champion is. Show should be good though.

I'm going to this show Live, that's what i'm looking forward too most honestly  but yeah i can understand that this card might better fight an FX card.

Another thing that might affect this show, I'm not sure though because I don't know the time but Floyd Mayweather's fighting on the same day as this show.

Really good card for a live show, seeing the preview for this on UFC 145 really got me interested in this card so hopefully I will be home when this is on so I can watch it live.

This card is great, if you follow the sport all the matchups are solid, and even casual fans have something to look forward to as I see the 2 main fight having the chance to go the distant and actually have a ton of action.

I'm going to this show, can't wait. Miller/Diaz will be an absolute war.

A lightweight tilt between standouts Jim Miller (21-3 MMA, 12-2 UFC) and Nate Diaz (15-7 MMA, 9-5 UFC) hasn't officially been dubbed a title eliminator.

Unofficially, it may be a different story.

"That's what I was told was happening," said Diaz, who on May 5 headlines UFC on FOX 3 opposite Miller.

UFC on FOX 3 takes place at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J. The event's main card airs live on FOX while preliminary-card fights air on FUEL TV.

Diaz said it's a simple process of elimination to arrive at the conclusion that he and Miller are next in line.

"I don't see who else would get a title shot," he said.

Of course, the UFC may be keeping its options open. Standouts like Anthony Pettis and Edson Barboza have dazzled fans with impressive recent finishes, and they could make a bid for a contender's spot.

But if Diaz is right, the winner of next Saturday's bout would meet the winner of an upcoming title rematch between champ Ben Henderson and the man he deposed, Frankie Edgar. That bout is scheduled for sometime this summer.

UFC president Dana White would neither confirm or deny the UFC on FOX 3 headliner would crown a contender, a UFC official said during a teleconference in support of the event.

Still, that's added motivation for both fighters, who nonetheless said they were focused on the task at hand.

Diaz's first run at the lightweight belt was a rocky one. He earned five consecutive wins following his turn on "The Ultimate Fighter 5" and then fell short against division standouts Clay Guida, Joe Stevenson and Gray Maynard, all of whom used wrestling to negate his strengths in boxing and jiu-jitsu.

A trip to welterweight was equally ill-fated. He went 2-2 and was outmuscled by Rory MacDonald and Dong Hyun Kim.

Returning to lightweight has proven to be the right choice. In rapid succession, he took out the once-feared Takanori Gomi and halted the rise of Donald Cerrone in a one-sided beatdown.

Miller's road has been far less bumpy. Following a loss to two-time title challenger Gray Maynard, he went on a seven-fight tear that put him one step away from No. 1 contender status. He was stopped there by Henderson, but recently rebounded with a quick submission over Melvin Guillard.

A title shot would presumably come in the fall for the winner, if Diaz's information is correct.

Dana should just stop telling people in the lightweight division that they're going to get a title shot  Seems like he says there's a new contender fight every day.

Jim Miller should of been given a title shot a long ass time ago, he shouldn't of even had to fight Bendo for the right.

Pettis doesn't deserve shit, if he got the next shot over the winner of this fight then Dana White is turning into Don King with all his shady bullshit.

Pettis is marketable, Miller isn't.

Dana White is as shady as every promoter out there.

Being marketable doesn't mean shit in MMA though.

Guys like Damien Maia, Thales Leites, Gray Maynard and Patrick Cote have headlined PPV's before, so Miller should have been no problem.
