Thought I'd update the thread with the official poster and the updated prelim card, I don't know why but i really like this poster. Also thought I'd mention on this thread that i will be attending this show it's only about 3 hours from me anyways. Going to be a great show, probably better than the last Fox show they put on. Really looking forward to it. Hope to see Palhares rip Belcher's leg off.

Great card, hope to see Koscheck get his bell rung by Hendricks left hook.

Gonna watch that presser in a bit, cheers.

Solid card tbh as you'd expect from a Fox show, Paul Harris v Belcher, Diaz/Miller & Kos/Hendricks all could be title eliminators which makes it ever more interesting.

Dont think theres a boring fight on there unless Kos chooses to wrestlefuck Hendricks like he did Daley.

In its latest counter-programming move, Spike TV will air a Nate Diaz fight marathon opposite May's UFC on FOX 3 event.

Diaz headlines the May 5 event, which airs live on FOX, in a lightweight bout with fellow contender Jim Miller.

During the event time, Spike TV airs a five-hour "UFC Unleashed: Nate Diaz" marathon featuring the fighter's past UFC bouts.

The special airs from 7 p.m. to midnight ET (4 to 9 p.m. PT) on Spike TV. Diaz, who earned his UFC contract by winning "The Ultimate Fighter 5," was featured prominently in many Spike TV-televised UFC Fight Night events. In fact, eight of Diaz's first nine octagon appearances took place on "Fight Night" or TUF Finale fight cards.

Due to the UFC's new multi-year broadcast deal with FOX, events that previously aired on Spike TV are now slated for FX and FUEL TV. However, Spike TV owns the UFC's library rights through the end of this year, and officials said counter-programming will be the norm throughout the year. "TUF," for example, moves to FX with live Friday-night tournament fights this season, but Spike TV will counter-program with highlights from the past 14 seasons of the long-running reality series.

The May 5 "UFC Unleashed: Nate Diaz" special includes:

7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT): Diaz vs. Marcus Davis
8 p.m. ET: Diaz vs. Josh Neer
10 p.m. ET: Diaz vs. Melvin Guillard

UFC on FOX 3 takes place at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

Such Pricks  can't see them doing so much damage to the FOX 3 show as it's a pretty well put together show. Although i still plan to record both this show and Spike TV's stuff on my DVR.

Smart by Spike to do this to get some ratings whilst they still have control on the library. I don't see it making much of a dent either since this is a very good card.

You have to steal someones hat as they're coming out, that's providing you're close enough :dana:

I'm going with two others and our seats are in the middle of the row, so likely wouldn't be close enough but it would be funny as hell to steal Nate Diaz's hat or something hah.

Cesar Gracie will push for his fighters to have the best possible match all day long. So, it is not a surprise that he feels Nate Diaz should be the No. 1 contender in the UFC's lightweight division with a win over Jim Miller. Diaz-Miller will be the main event for UFC on FOX 3, which is set for May 5.

Coming off victories over Takanori Gomi and Donald Cerrone, Diaz has found himself back among the elite by moving down from welterweight. He is 15-7 overall with five Fight of the Night honors to his credit.

"I guess he deserves it in case he gets the win," said Gracie, in a recent interview with Tatame.com. "He defeated Cerrone, who was one of the firsts in the line and had a good performance against Gomi; now, he's fighting another contender. So, if Nate can beat these guys, he deserves to be the next challenger."

Gracie knows Miller will present quite the opponent for his student, bringing, "good wrestling skills and heavy hands." The trainer also points out Miller is strong for the division, but, "we're not underestimating him."

I agree with the fact that he should be up for a title shot, but Dana's man crush on Frankie Edgar is fucking everything up.

This isn't going to be an easy fight at all for Nate to win though, Jim Miller is no joke and is still the favorite going into the fight.

I fancy Miller in this fight, but regardless of that, I think the winner should fight Edgar for the shot.

Pretty obvious that Frankie doesnt deserve an instant rematch, so let him earn it considering Bendo is out till late summer/autumn.

Fuck Pettis.

I think Miller is going to pull off the win here as well, but wouldn't mind it going the other way either with Nate getting the win. Agreed about the winner having to fight Edgar first rather than Frankie getting his rematch right away.

Also think Pettis is going to drop to Featherweight and fight Jose Aldo.

Would solve a lot of problems tbh, would give 145lbs a good name to fight Aldo/replace Aldo if he moved up, and means Frankie stays at 155lbs where I like him and think he should stay.
