Good thing to stack a card when a mainevent is basically a lock. Korean Zombie and Cub most likely getting title shots after this. Frankie finally not getting a rematch or title shot.

Everyone is currently siding with Jones in the hypothetical fight vs Anderson but I think the tide will shift again when he destroys Weidman here. Hard to count out a guy whos been unbeaten 8 years and had so many brutal finishes as Anderson, as good as Jones is.

Still think it'll be a TKO R1 but not gonna lie I am scared of a potential Weidman wrestlefuck UD. Kid is one huge, powerful rassler. I guess Okami was too though and he got dealt with.

Anderson/Jones would pretty much boil down to the takedown ability of Jones really, because if he can get Anderson down which Chael proved over and over again is possible, then there's a vastly superior chance of Jones being able to finish / do some serious damage.

I have a feeling that this is going five rounds. Weidman will just try to hang in there and will be negative for most of the fight. Nice to see Edgar having a fight that isn't for the title, get him to win a few matches before he is near a title again. Overall it is a strong card.

Remember to post your Predictions to be in the running to win the prize at the end of the season.

Got a feeling Weidman is gonna be a rabbit in the headlights here.

Anderson via some vicious shit that will be on the next 'best KOs' dvd, R1.

Hate the supposed hype going around Weidman, it is pundits basically trying to sell this fight banking on Anderson getting older and this guys supposed confidence, like everyone else who fought Anderson didn't have any. I hope Anderson just dances around this guy for five rounds just to piss off Dana White.

I do find the hype quite funny, Weidmans camp are just using the same old lines we've heard people use for the last seven years before Silva clowns them. All thats missing is for him to say he's going to send him back to Japan.

according to the payouts and salaries released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), who delivered the numbers to Steven Marrocco of MMA Junkie today (July 5, 2013).
Weidman is still operating on a contract that pays him $24,000 to show and another $24,000 if he is to emerge victorious. Silva, meanwhile, gets a flat salary of $600,000 as long as he gets to the cage and participates in a sanctioned mixed martial arts (MMA) bout, as well as another $200,000 if he pushes his record win-streak to 17.

Found this quite funny but also a bit sad. Granted this doesn't take into account other bonuses or PPV cut but still it is a huge difference in pay. A fighter fighting for the title in the mainevent of the PPV and is only guaranteed $24k, the difference in win bonus is ridiculous as well. Surely you offer the same win bonus to both figthers, gives the underdog even more incentive to push the fight.

Anyone going to be watching this tomorrow?

I'ma be watching this somewhere. I got this day off just for this fight. I'ma make sure I see it.

But I do find that kinda funny. If Silva just steps in the cage long enough for the fight to start... he is 600k richer. That is pretty cool.

It's a little misleading aswell. When it's time to renew, I'm sure Weidman will get a nice bump providing he sticks round the upper reaches @ 185. But yeah, there's a massive disparity. If there's anybody in MMA who deserves a nice cut, though, it's Anderson.

Well Weidman is a relative nobody who went from fighting on fuel cards to fighting the best MMArtist ever...kind of expected, but also sad that his hype train is going to be flipped upside down in a fiery mess and he only makes 24k for it.

Definitely going to be watching it has my two favourite things in MMA; Anderson Silva and a UFC hype train being derailed, just keep selling those Wolf tickets Dana.
