Brock Lesnar's return. Cole was incredible. Cole can do it, he just doesn't do it enough. He was great at Summerslam. "Damn it Heyman" was one of the highlights of the PPV.

Like I just said in the "what makes a good commentator?" thread, Cole's reaction to the Orton thing at the end of Summerslam sold it for me (WHAT THE HELL!?). I wouldn't say Cole is bad, he can just be overly annoying most of the time in his Face roll.

You're delusional. Cole and JBL are fantastic, King is a fat pedophile but he doesn't speak much. Don't ever compare Tenay and Taz to decent commentators ever again. :tough:

Man, I was the biggest JBL-the announcer fan back in the day, but watching Summerslam and the BVD-Y2J match from recent Raw, I'm really not into him.You all seem to agree that Lawler is VERY bad. Cole? He was a great heel announcer if you ask me, but now? Holy fucking shit, give me some Jeremy "Obviously" Borash.

If Hogan and AJ are both in negotiations right now we also get the factor from TNA being "which guy puts more asses in seats/has more name value"? Who is more worth the money and what not.

Now 99% of us here would go "AJ gawddammit". But Hogan is good at playing the backstage politic game and they might think "It's Hulk fricking Hogan!"

Cole only sucked as a heel

JBL was a lot better back in the day. Now he is mostly there to exaggerate and put people over.

TNA announcers are the scum of the Earth, along with Lawler.

AJ will sign back with TNA. This always happens.. Roode, Bully, ect. They will get him a new deal

Hogan is without a doubt the biggest draw TNA has, sadly. Just listen to the ovations he gets compared to the roster, and how many people are wearing Hulk merch or have Hulk signs when he comes out.

We can hate it, but Hulk > AJ as a draw and it isn't close.

And since they can probably find 5 talented indy guys willing to take AJ's spot for a fifth of his current pay I can see them going Hogan and letting AJ go if it came to that.

I wonder what % of the WWE audience knows who AJ Styles is and what he is about. Wonder if they would make him go to NXT lol

AJ is one of those guys I could see not need to go to NXT if he went WWE (He could just as well go to Japan for a couple of tours, New Japan pays extremely well for like 3 weeks work followed by 2 weeks off or similar) but he would be weaned into the audiences instead of car crashed into a big angle.

Japan is probably a million times more realistic than WWE, sadly for me.

AJ is a family man though. Not sure if he'd be willing to be away from his family for 3 weeks at a time. But still, he gets 2 weeks with them afterwards so you never know. And New Japan does need a new face for their junior division. Golden opportunity. But arguably there's a golden opportunity to be a star in WWE now as well. With both Cena and Sheamus off until the rumble and Lesnar on break until needed.

Not like he wouldn't be away from his family in WWE as well.

This is the one thing TNA really has going for them and the thing I've actually heard a lot of positives about the company.. it is good for dude's with families

ROH has that thing going as well. They shoot TV once a month, then they do shows on the weekends, leaving weekdays open if guys want to do things on the side or have families (Steen loves it since he coaches his kid's soccer team).

The way I see it, and this good for TNA and TNA fans, is this:

AJ Styles is 36 yrs old.

- If he goes to WWE, he has to go to NXT for a year or two. Lets say two. He's already 38. Paying his dues in undercard and midcard - he's already 40, 41. WWE doesn't push people over 40. (hey there :pity2: )

- If he goes to ROH, how is that "moving financially", as PWInsider described it? Makes no sense for him to jump to freakin ROH if he wants more money.

- If he goes to Japan, that'd make no sense. He has this big family home, no way he'll go anywhere overseas (1 tour at best).

- If he goes to indies, tha makes even less sense than going to ROH lol.

So what's left for Styles? Stay with good money TNA is giving him, loose up on raise a bit, and it's all swell.

This is based on the assumption that WWE would keep him in developmental for two years, which imo is highly unlikely. I agree with Dust, I don't see WWE keeping him there for long at all.
