Yes that is an awesome List and the Hangover would not have garnered as much attention of it wasn't for Animal House.
The visuals make it great the first time around and after that then it gets really boring
The point being, every one of them is funnier than The Hangover, which I hardly think will be remembered in 30 years as a classic.But those are five of the most classic comedies of all time, so that's hardly an insult to The Hangover anyway.

LOL, that's funnier than anything in The Hangover. The Golden Globes are voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press and have nothing to do with the quality of the movie. More than likely the studio that backed The Hangover just paid a bunch of money to the association to win the award.
Just because you don't like the movie doesn't mean it's not any good.
It's another movie that after the initial reveal at the end you can't watch again because it is all spoiled.

Yeah, but it was a bad one. Then again, its not like using awards as an indicator is a good way to go at any time. I mean, How Green Was My Valley beat Citizen Kane for Best Picture but you'd be hard pressed to find a single person who'd say it was a better movie.
I'm just saying if it wins awards people must have thought it was a good movie.
Sigh, we're just going to go around in circles here. The real way to tell if it's as great as you say is whether people are still talking about it in 25 years. Obviously we can't say for sure, but I have my doubts.
