Yeah - I am climbing this mountain. Not far from 25%. Which would be putting me on course. Its certainly an education!

Some might say you’re

Album Listen #41: Named drops this group just around friends and family - and no one even had a clue, so I have no idea what to expect. I am guessing country. Playing the music out loud and everyone in the room is enjoying the tunes - like every single tune. And then the album ends - and I find myself in a very confusing position. I've always had mixed feelings about country, but when you enjoy every song on an album you really have no other choice really other than saying it was flawless and giving it a perfect ten.

Well, this isn't going to go to Sabs head or anything.

I mean unless he actually was involved in the writing of the album. I don't think someone liking an album should inflate your ego

Album Listen #42: A guitar genius - but honestly felt if he'd had a different vocalist what ever group he was part of would have been literally God in this business. Some epic songs nonetheless and always got time for a little bit of Jimmy in my ears. Listened to this album quite a few times over the years - so one of the few albums I don't really have to deep dive into.

Album Listen #43: I do really enjoy R.A.T.M. - but this album is a bit hit and miss for me. I do connect to the general vibe of the band and love what they are about - but there are a few of the songs that aren't at the same standard as the majority. An eight song album - and I'd be give this very high ratings though. Loved the listen through though! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE UP!

Wintersun - I appreciate the musicianship of the band. I just want a different singer. That's where they lost me.

Album Listen #44: This start really strong with three of the four first songs being just pure class and I love when a band has two vocalists that offer very different elements to the band. And until now I had never really put the band name to a lot of these songs. The rest of the album holds a high standard - but doesn't climb anymore peaks, however they is a level of emotion and actual truth within a lot of the songs that makes them feel more real and therefore personally valuable. Great album.

Album Listen #45: This is a great album - and I'd place it probably in joint third with Beggar's Banquet in terms of my favourite Stones albums, but that is still an incredible high standard for them. Its got a great blues feel and I think this is a record that is often brushed aside - but I am glad it was drafted as it deserves recognition. Enjoyed listening to this album again.

Album Listen #46: This album confused me - it took a few songs to realize this was going to be purely instrumental. There was like an undertone of jazz to it and something very experimental about it - but I was unable to fully engage with the record and this wasn't really the one for me. The first song was my favorite song though - so might pencil that one down. Would be curious what this guy sounds like as part of a band with a vocalist. I would recommend people to listen this though - does seem a record that you should listen to at least once even if it isn't for you.
