The Return of Unpopular Wrestling Opinions

I wouldn't call Richie a failure. He had to retire due to injuries. I mean, I certainly wouldn't call Magnum TA a failure neither. Stuff happens.

I think you can call him a failure bc he wasn't very good before his injuries though. Granted he could have improved and we won't know if he could have and a lot of his hype was bc of Ricky...but he was pretty meh for his little NXT run.

I respect your opinion, bruh. However we dont share the same thoughts on Rick Jr.

Fair enough lol I mean I think it's harsh to call him a failure regardless, but I also didn't think he was very good during that NXT run.

Funny how second, third, etc generation stars seem to fail, or become top draws. Never seems to be any i n between. For every David Sammartino, Richie Steamboat, and Dibiase Jr, there is a Rock, Orton, and Charlotte.

I got a few

Baron Corbin is the best heel in the last 15 years.

Alexa Bliss is the worst wrestler to ever grace a wrestling ring and a huge waste of space on the roster.

Cesaro is overrated

Bray Wyatt is sort of a middle of the pact guy. But I guess to play Devils Advocate, Bo Dallas ain’t shit so it balances out
I was thinking Bray too, but he's won a couple of world titles, s o I'd say he's successful. And agree on Bo, although I feel his "Bo-lieve" character could have got over, if they would have given it a chance. But, I'm also a sucker for that corny gimmick, so that's bias talking.

Since NXT is being recognized as a third brand, does that make Bo Dallas the youngest World Champion ever now? I know they didn't start recognizing it as a World title until 2017, but you can't deny the championship history.

I think the way PWI does "World" championships is it only counts if it was during a point where the title was recognized as one. The NWA Championship is one example that would fall in and out of this category. PWI obviously isn't law though, but i think that's a decent way to do it. IDK if they even recognize the NXT Championship as a world title though, probably not if I had to guess.

The way the NWA championship is scene is weird. Some places recognize Bobo Brazil's win and some don't. I dont think NWA recognizes the TNA era neither.

NWA absolutely recognises the TNA era. In fact, they fairly recently went out of their way to canonise Ray Gonzalez' short reign after winning over Jeff Jarrett in PR but being stripped due to having the wrong referee count the pin.

Here's a list of what the PWI recognizes as world championships and what time periods they were recognized. It says they also recognize select world title reigns from 1905-1946 before the NWA, I think dating back to George Hackenschmitdt.

At one point NWA did not. Thanks for the update.
