pretty fine line too because really the US should concede nothing and neither should Ukraine (from their pov). Russia also is too all in to give up at this point outside of Putin getting an unfortunate fall from a tall building. its gonna be tighter sanctions and better weapons at a slow rate especially since Russia is losing ground. I don't really expect the US to escalate at all here

Outside of a threat though if you’re really trying to negotiate an end to the conflict the US is going to have to offer them something so I don’t know what.

Cede Russian territories in Georgia and Ukraine, a treaty not to attack either lands for 70 yesrs and we'll end several sanctions and in fact offer cash considerations and a non-aggression pact indefinitely.

There’s definitely not. That might be the one bipartisan thing in the states. That’s why I have to say neocon now because the right is anti war as much as the hippies.

I think if you are the strongest military in the world and another country straight up invades sovereign land, yeah you should probably do something about it with impunity

The US absolutely won’t concede Ukraine nor should they but I definitely think sanctions would be a start and then I think the other issue would be NATO. They will probably have to do some thing to downsize NATO possibly kick out those in the neighboring states etc.

yeah and NATO is going to get bigger not smaller. Russia, ironically, made sure of that
