Well your logic on this has opened my eyes to other GOPers at least and why they seem to think all their guns are being taken away when I've never seen anyone suggest it
No one is suggesting all guns.

But we don’t want ANY guns being banned.

No you've opened my eyes a lot to how the republican thinks today. And you're right, the anti-LGBT people are going to win if Beto is deemed too extreme by someone I thought was a reasonable republican. I think america is fucked tho

im suprised you didnt know this tbh. i thought it was common knowledge that the GOP constantly fear monger wedge issue and outright lie about what the democrats are actually saying to scare people into voting for them. they do this with everything from the gays to the blacks to guns and abortions. its always hyper exaggerated lies to fit their narrative that their the heroes and the democrats are the villains. while actually actively doing villainous things before your eyes

nothing you said was common sense and youre the one supporting the GOP by voting for them buddy. were already on the right side trying to explain why what youre saying is wrong and all youre doing is proving us right that you are unwilling to listen at all
Common sense doesn’t mean agree with me. It means this how you win.

Right side* :bosque

I don’t advocate for that, but you asked me a direct question.

The second amendment is there for a reason and it’s not so we can just have handguns.

I’m willing to do an awful lot except kill a right in my constitution. If you’re unwilling to do any of the only options provided, that’s you not willing to compromise.
yep got it, people dying good banning certain guns because piece of paper bad. youve made your priorities clear, and quite frankly , im repulsed that you think thats more important. chris is right, if thats how you fuckers actually view things and think your actually entitled to wage death upon each other and fuck everyone else. yeah, your country is FUCKED Chris is right. youve lost your collective minds down there and have lost all sight of whats important

Yeah this is why I asked if you just thought it was "too extreme to win texas" or too extreme for you personally, you answered you personally. I agree you gotta ease shit in to the average voter, I just didn't expect you to think someone was an extreme that I thought was fairly sane

"Ok, let's have some common sense rules to help out our people".

"Okey dokey, well, we want this"

"Uhh Ok, how about some of that, but we also do this"

"No....fuck you, get out"

"well, fuck you too bitch"

Meeting adjourned.

Except you're also kinda missing the forest for the trees here, in the bigger picture of National Politics, the Democrats have repeatedly tried to push forward gun legislation that is not about banning guns, but about making it so attaining guns is more difficult with registrars and databases, as well as identification and mental health consultations. The Republicans, ad nauseum, have time and time again buried this legislation in red tape and filibuster, so that it cannot pass. Reasonable gun legislation has continued to never make headways, because the pearl-clutching NRA funding has made the Republican party believe that, "Even a little legislation on guns is bad because it tramples on a poorly defined Amendment written during the time of muskets and flintlock pistols."

Not advocating for it but you still believe it lol I'm not saying you're a bad guy for it, I just can't understand that logic at all. If you think something should be legal I'd advocate for it, you're not a politician yourself

@King Switch if you willing to dig in this much to protect the 2nd amendment....why don't you do the same for the 1st since this is YOUR site?

I’m telling you almost no conservative, but especially those in Texas will vote out GOP if their opponent is running on anti-2A legislation.

No one can ban gay marriage. It’s been constitutionally protected.

Now yes, I’d vote for gay marriage because we can overturn the rifles ban in time. It would never stand long term, but of course marriage equality is important. The problem is most deep red don’t care about gay marriage, so that still wouldn’t pass.

Now let me volley the ball back to you, would you even agree to strip away some rights of gay rights like gay marriage and equal protection in order to compromise with those that don’t want it at all, or would you fight to keep the whole thing?

Because this is what it’s like when being asked to only protect part of the second amendment and if you don’t agree to strip it down, you’re not compromising.
