Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

I keep forgetting. I was shocked when I saw it was a 4 disc DVD. Well, that just furthers my my last statement. Its now even more superior than the last Streak DVD. Awesome.

Considering they could fit every match on one disc, they must have really gone all out with this DVD. Just shows how much they respect Undertaker

Also, for those that haven't gotten it yet and might be on the fence, Ring of Honor: Year One is absolutely insane. 17 matches and not a single one below a ***1/2 rating.

What's the best match on the set

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

It's gotta be the fatal fourway Ironman match or the triple threat on the debut show.

Dragon/Low Ki/Daniels from the debut show remains one of the best matches I've ever seen. It still holds up so well to this day, so I'd say that's probably the best. The Ironman is just behind it. Low Ki and Red's match is also sick.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

I still have to put in an order to ROH... Year One will be on the list. For those who don't know El Generico's got a best of ROH 2 disc set out now too!

Also not sure if it was posted in here but KENTA has one too which looks awesome.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

That's a solid list for Year One.
Jimmy, great list, figured since I know you go to PWG shows (right?) you would've had some of their DVD's as well.

I went to two PWG shows last year with Jake, night one and two of All Star Weekend. I don't have any of their DVDs though, I believe Jake does though.

I do have a DVD from New Wave Pro, a local promotion that just folded earlier this year. It has guys from PWG on it, like Johnny Yuma, Chris Kadillak, and Joey Ryan.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

I actually think I saw something New Wave Pro once, they were setting up some sort of giant match with a bunch of people who kept coming out for their next show... I know Yuma and Joey Ryan were in that promo. Thought you went to more PWG shows though, jealous of even 2 though! Those shows look like so much fun!

Hmm, that might have been the promo before the very last show. I remember them being out there for that promo where everyone from the back started coming out, and eventually a big steel cage match was made for the next show.

PWG shows are a blast, it was so much fun. Kevin Steen live is hilarious, his interaction with the crowd is great.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

Somehow I remembered the name of the show it was setting up, Tidal Wave 6 which according to the video description was indeed the last show.
