Finished watching the ROH Summer of Punk DVD.

I gotta say it was pretty phenomenal. Everything was just great. It consists of fantastic promos, great matches and a shit ton of run-ins lol

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

My thoughts on Punk: The Final Chapter - The Lethal/Joe vs Ki/Homicide brawl was fucking insane. Ace Steel died. Punk being showered in streamers while he cried was a great sight. I'm pretty sure Spanky missed the superkick on Gibson but his heel turn was still amazing, and he did it all in pink trunks with flowers on them! 4 corners match was fun and Sydal's moonsault to the outside was sick. The only other match was Aries / Rave and I have no complaints about that match either.

Matt Hardy really was the man in 2005. His match with Roddy here was pretty solid. I'm trying to figure out what was better though, him as a heel in ROH or as a face in WWE? Either way he was such a boss!

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

Hardy wasn't really a heel in ROH. His first couple of appearances with the company went off well with people cheering him. It was only after he returned to Raw that the fans booed him in ROH.

This review reminds me off how amazing ROH was from second 2005 until end of 2006. Did very little wrong for a year and a half

I was just going off this show, he was certainly a heel here! Lol, the crowd wanted him dead and it was great.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

He was technically still a face. The same thing happened with Jeff Hardy in 2003. He came in with the intended alignment of babyface, but the crowd booed him out of the building.

Kayfabe babyface, smark heel.

RIP Kayfabe.
