The newly-converted 3D version of James Cameron’s Titanic will set sail a few days earlier than originally planned, Paramount said Tuesday.

The film, which had been scheduled to launch Friday, April 6, is now been slated to arrive in theaters on Wednesday, April 4.

The studio also has moved up A Thousand Words, Brian Robbins’ comedy starring Eddie Murphy, from April 20 to March 9, where it will compete with Disney’s sci-fi tale John Carter and Open Road’s horror movie A Thousand Words.

It also slated a limited release on March 16 for the Duplass Brothers’ film Jeff, Who Lives at Home, starring Jason Segel. The film, which was originally scheduled for a March 2 release, debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival

NOOOOOOO. Sounds like to crappy movies to me. I hate Titanic.

I don't hate Titanic but there's no way I'm going to see it in 3D. Once again, 3D blows and the prospect of having to wear those stupid glasses for the 3+ hour runtime makes me want to barf.

The best part of the movie for me was watching Leo sink to his death and then the credits. I hate this movie. The only thing I liked about the movie was Kates tits.

Is there seriously a fuckin market for this movie in 3D?? I mean if I listed every movie I wanted to see redone in 3D this would be at the bottom.

I said it before when I heard about the movie. I liked Titanic, but in 3D it really isn't needed. Much like the Star Wars movies getting made into 3D.

I dont understand why people suddenly want to remake a film in 3d when their original sales skyrocketed through the roof. Titanic is one of the top 10 highest money making films of all time...

Makes perfect sense to me....spend a little money to make it 3d then sit back and collect the millions again!

yeah but how many people do u think are really going to go spend $8 on a ticket, $3 on a soda, $3 on popcorn and $3 on candy, basically $20 to watch a movie they saw over 10 years ago, to be in 3D, when they could wait a few months for the 3D version to come out on Blueray

There will be tons of people that will spend that money to go see it. Especially since a lot of people don't have the 3D set up in their homes.

The Lion King was re-released in 3D last year and grossed an additional $94 million so.....

Disagree, I plan on seenig it and know a ton other, Star Wars is an example of a movie that it makes sense to convert into 3D. Lightsaber battles, Pod Races, Space Battles, Naboo, fuck the list of thing that would be awesome about just episode 1 in 3D go on.
