Who else is following this?

I think it's a great move by Kevin Bacon to jump to TV too many "stars" keep going and wind up in the straight to DVD been with horrible movies. I'd much rather see a great actor go to a great tv show than try to stick to the big screen.

Thoughts on the show?

Re: The Following

I already have the first episode recorded. Planning on watching it soon.

Is it something like "The Killing" by AMC?

Re: The Following

So far I would say I enjoy The Following much more than The Killing. The Following isn't as gut wrenching so far and the overall pace of the show is much faster. The reveals come much quicker and that could be just because you can see they have so much more to unravel. So far my impressions of The Following is it is well written and well acted. It could have a decent run as long as FOX doesn't decide to axe it like they've done oh so many times with shows I've just started settling into.
Looking forward to seeing Episode 3 next week for sure.

I assume you mean the American version of the Killing, because the Danish is excellent.

I am a big Bacon fan, but based on the trailer this looks very bland and clitched ridden. The cast apart from Bacon don't seem anything special either, but I will reserve judgement until I have watched it.

Re: The Following

This is coming to Australia soon and I will have to check it out. The premise sounds great and with Dexter and Breaking Bad winding down I need a serious drama to fill the gap.

Re: The Following

Yes I do mean the American version, and I have only seen the first season of US version of The Killing and none of the Danish version.

Besides Kevin Bacon, Natalie Zea and James Purefoy are great in their roles. In the first two episodes I'd say there are influences that certainly stand right out and any fan of horror/thriller/suspense movies will probably find themselves asking "is that an homage to ____?" I still hope to see this show get a solid run, at least get enough episodes to tell a good story and wrap it up.

Re: The Following

You guys have convinced me to check this show out.... always been a fan of Bacon (the food and the actor)... one question, My wife will not watch any kind of Horror movie or anything with a lot of onscreen violence.. Is this a show she could watch or not?? To me it kinda looked right on the edge of what she'll watch..
