Earlier on twitter Taz wrote the following:

Couple of big wrestling shows in my "hometown" of Brooklyn! #RedHookNearBarclay

But he's since deleted the tweet. Raw's going to be at the Barclay Center in a few weeks too for the first time ever. TNA is apparently going to be in Brooklyn before WWE, but he never mentioned that in the tweet. Now, according to PWInsider, his TNA contract maybe up as soon as the upcoming TNA tapings in Las Vegas on Saturday to cover the 4th July and the week after.

So is Taz playing everyone, especially after RVD's left TNA and is heading back to WWE at Money in the Bank. Or does he know something nobody else does, and if he was to return, where would they put him back? SD again?

I don't see Taz back in the ring at all.

If anything I see him replacing Striker (Now he's gone, into commentary. Fuck Riley, use Riley as a wrestler).

Dreamers fed perhaps?

Don't see him on any commentary team, unless he is reunited with Cole and stopped doing terrible jokes. Also don't see him being replaced at TNA.

Yeah, I'm not reading much into this. Don't really care what he does at this point as I don't hate the guys commentary but I don't care to see him do it in WWE anymore.

He has good chemistry with Cole and they wouldn't have to train him to call shows

He and Cole did have good chemistry, but that was along time ago, and both have changed their styles significantly since then. Taz hasn't been the technical colour commentator who tells us what the move is supposed to do to the opponents, nor does he put the heels over very well in TNA, and Cole has morphed his style into Mark Madden territory, where it is more important to get himself over and keep the shit on storylines, there was a time, when I liked this duo better than JR and Lawler. Doubt they would've ever get that back.

Taz should just retire and train people in his dojo.

I doubt that he is heading to WWE and I really can't see WWE wanting him. They have enough commentators as it is and they don't even use them, they just use the same guys on both shows. He was good a decade ago on commentary on Smackdown but it was a long time ago.

Didn't Taz leave because he was unhappy (similar to Mick Foley)? I vaguely recall that being the case.

Either way, I really don't care. The only guy I wanted back on commentary was JBL, and that's been quite a disappointment since they opted to do the 3-man commentating and it's nowhere near entertaining now that it's just annoying friendly bickering between him and Cole (I mean in a way JBL IS kinda Taz IMO). If that's what became of JBL, I can't even see the point of having Taz since ultimately he'd have to fit in with current WWE's expectations.

Sick of the current commentating style anyway. Wish there were a way to just mute them (just specifically the commentating).

Pretty much agree with deezy on this one. Maybe he could be involved in the odd angle, but can't see much beyond that. Think they have better options behind the booths too.

I think he's been absolutely hilarious and awesome during this A&E's run as the heel announcer, would love him back in the WWE. Cole & Taz on RAW with Josh & JBL on SmackDown.

I don't know why anyone would think he would be used in a wrestling capacity considering he hasn't wrestled in a decade. Tazz is still a badass though and there's a number of roles he can still fill in WWE. Pretty sure his only reason for going to TNA in the first place was to be a part of that ECW resurgence they had going on a couple years ago. He's not doing anything interesting there now and it would be nice to see him back where he belongs.

For the record, as I didn't really make it clear, I am not expecting him to have an in-ring return. There are a lot of roles someone like him could do, like Arn, Taz could run an enforcer type character, or even a "trainer" role within Heymans Clients. Keeps him protected, and we would still get to see the Tazmission from time to time.

He could always sit back down at the announce table, go back to doing History of ECW on 24/7, add an extra experienced voice to creative, assist in the developmental, scout, etc. The guy has been around long enough, and done nearly everything there is to do role wise in wrestling, to be a versatile asset.
