Tokyo Sports: Giulia to leave STARDOM in march
Interviews revealed that Giulia (30) of women's pro wrestling "Stardom" will be leaving the organization at the end of March. The departure of the main player, who has won the organization's highest world title and still holds New Japan Pro-Wrestling's STRONG Women's Title, is sure to cause a major stir. After leaving the organization, she is likely to join the new organization that Rossy Ogawa (66) plans to launch, and may also aim for the world's largest organization, WWE, as has been reported in the U.S. media for some time. The departure of the controversial woman is likely to attract a lot of attention.
>According to several sources, Giulia had informed Bushiroad Fight, which manages Stardom, of her intention to leave the organization at the end of last year. After discussions, it appears that they have reached an agreement that she will leave the organization at the end of March, when her contract expires.
>What is of interest is what happens after she leaves. One of the most likely candidates is to "join" Ogawa, who was dismissed as executive producer of Stardom on February 4. Giulia admires Ogawa, who led her to become a star, and after the February 4 Osaka event, the last in his tenure, she posted on her X (formerly Twitter), "I am so happy to have met Stardom, created by Rossy Ogawa. Happy 13th anniversary, Stardom! Ogawa has admitted that he is exploring the establishment of a new organization and may participate in its launch.
>On the other hand, what she cannot abandon is a move to an overseas organization. Last year, she set out to "expand overseas" and was crowned New Japan's STRONG Women's Champion. So far, she has made a name for herself overseas by successfully defending her title nine times, including three times in the U.S. Several U.S. media reported that WWE has shown interest. At a press conference last November, CCO (Chief Content Officer) Triple H was asked about Giulia.
>Regarding her move to an overseas organization, Giulia has previously stated, "I still have things to do in Japan. I don't have anything definite in mind for the future," she said, "but sometimes I think that going overseas might be a way to achieve my goals.
