I was watching ESPN and I almost cried

According to ESPN News, The Lakers and The Nets are in serious talks of swapping Kwame Browns expiring contract and Jordan Farmar for Jason Kidd and fillers :shocking:

I know Kidd is one of the all time greats but NOOOO!!!! I have a man crush on Farmar and I believe he's gonna turn out to be very good. If I have it my way, this deal will not go down..besides, Kwame is overpaid like crazy, once his contract is off the table we will have enough money to go after a big name Free Agent

Sometimes the best deals are the ones you dont make IE Bynum for Jermain Oneal

^^^ I agree. Farmar can become very good and making a trade for an ageing Kidd with maybe a few years left doesn't make much sense, especially since they still have Fisher in the PG position. What the Lakers need is a big C to take some pressure off Kobe.

if the lakers can get kidd without trading bynum they gotta do it. getting rid of brown will help develop bynum faster. plus andrew has been playing pretty well this year. i mean your getting jason kidd the walking triple double.

Kwame and Farmer for Kidd?

I'd take that deal...even though Kwame would have his contract come off the books the Lakers are still over the cap anyway and couldn't make a big sign deal.

Bynum will not be going anywhere unless its for a legit big like Stoudimire

I don't think the Nets could get much for Kidd right now unless they throw in RJ...if they want something back...I know it sounds far fetched, but with Kidd's age and looking like he'll break down...they should have traded him last year.

It's too late to be trading Kidd now. they should just let him stay there till he retires. Thoughts on Giricek-Korver?

win win for both teams. Giricek wan't happy in utah and korver will add some more firepower to a good team.

Who's Korver? I thought it was Ashton Kutcher.

Anyways, the Celts won yet again. That now makes them 27-3. I know there is still a lot of time left, but I said it at the beginning of the season, they will win 73 games. Count on it! :)

Concerning the Lakers-Nets situation, I'd go for it. Farmar isn't that good and even if he gets better, he will never be that big superstar. There is always Javaris Crittenton to give the opportunity.

So... How bout them boys from Motown! While everyone is jumping on the Celtics bandwagon, the Pistons are riding a 10 game winning streak (including a win in Boston) and they seem to be one of the most deepest teams in the league.

But go ahead, keep talking about the Celtics and just ignore the Pistons.

both players needed a change of scenery, but Korver would probably do better on another team b/c of his looks.

After last nights game I'd say you are 100% correct, but now it looks like Kidd will be going to Denver. Would that make Denver a contender? I'm still not sure who they will give up, but if they're somehow able to keep Iverson & Melo, they should have a pretty solid team.

Guess who has the 3rd best bench in the league...the same team that lost to Boston while wearing daisy-dukes
