This could go on forever. You have to be around a long time to compete on the other brand. We are not going to see Tensai on SD for a while let alone see him compete for it's major title
What exactly are you basing this statement on?
The WWE is notorious for blurring the brand division whenever they feel it necessary, sometimes to a fault, and irregardless of the wrestlers' respective tenures.
And time isn't always a determining factor for putting a belt on someone. Hell, you need look no further than one of the guys in this argument: Sheamus. A month and a half into his tenure on RAW and he's the WWE Champion.
It's really too soon to say, but it's not out of the realm of possibility for a Tensai/Sheamus feud. It all really depends on how high the WWE is on him.
